Miela - She/Her

Walking out onto these sands again was a lot to think about. She'd stalled just for the briefest of moments at the entrance, luckily not impeding anyone thanks to being nearly dead last in the line, and had sucked in a few deep breaths. There would be blue dragons that would hatch, but this time she hadn't insulted an egg, at least not that she knew about anyway. After the last time she felt as if she might at least know if she did. So she wasn't in immediate danger again, or so she told herself on repeated until her first small foot touched sand.

Calm, totally fine. Miela breathed out any anxious feelings and replaced it with a trained and practiced sort of calm. Respectfully she bowed to the parents again and made her way to an empty section of sand to watch the eggs rock, crack, and eventually hatch.

It was better to be safe and alone on these sands.

---

Suyua - She/Her

There was quite a lot to be excited about but the short girl kept her calm and cool as she entered the hatching cavern, bowing happily. What would she see personality wise from the baby dragons today? What would happen? Violence? Happiness? Death?

Who was to know, certainly not her, but Suyua took things like her training and the meeting of baby dragons very seriously. So on her face was her typical wide smile as she watched. Alone.

Candidate Nalacko - HR, she/her
The long, slow?, wait was getting to her nerves. Nala didn’t know which egg to look at. A couple were really close to hatching, almost. The wait to see who was first was unbearable. Yet bear it she had to. What else could she do?

The short teen took a peek at the candidates around her. Lojze and Zelaya and her had formed a tiny group. Other candidates also had scattered clusters around the sands. Nala noticed several that had chosen to stand alone. On purpose? Maybe.

She paused when she spotted Suyua standing by herself, a little distance away. Quietly she edged towards the other. No one should stand alone if they didn’t want to. “Hey Suyua. Come stand with us.” She offered the other candidate with a smile.

Elibrie - she/her

"A few of them were very sweet to me," Elibrie answered Juhvek, her words soft - not that they weren't always, but something about being on the Sands made her feel the need to speak in more hushed tones. "There was one, but...but it doesn't seem right to say."

A little bit disrespectful, a little bit preumptuous, a little bit bad luck. Her eyes did linger a moment on a particular black egg, but she quickly refocused on the ones that had started to move.

I'zrin and Brown Maestoth

Maestoth had little interest in Hatchings - why should he? - and at this point, I'zrin's sole interest was in seeing Faustell Impress. He still wished dearly that one of Maestoth's siblings had had the sense and good taste to choose his love, but alas, that hadn't been the case. He was more than confident that a dragon would, eventually, choose the man, but he'd really rather sooner rather than later, even if it would make for a very long and inconvenient six months. Regardless, there was nothing he could do but wait and hope, his eyes fixed on the Sands.

At His' prompting, Maestoth did, somewhat grudgingly, reach out with a subdued, wordless feeling of well-wishes. Though he'd never admit to caring about such matters, the brown hoped that at least Faustell would Impress something...tolerable.

Herg'r and Bronze Hyglath

It was Hatching time! Hyglath, absolutely swelling with delight because babies, had wasted no time in harrying His to hurry up and get to the Stands. His half-eaten dinner could stay half-eaten! (There'd be a Feast later, anyway.) The chunky bronze heaved himself off his ledge to take up a perch himself, and as the Candidates arrived, he reached out to sweep each of Herg'r's hatchlings -as well as Mailse's Miela - up in a warm mental hug. He and Herg'r were here, and they loved them!

Herg'r, in spite of Hyglath's insistence and his own enthusiasm, did not rush to the Stands, though he did indeed leave his dinner behind. And while he did proceed to the Hatching, it was at a very measured pace, as it was with Mailse carefully bundled up in his arms. While she was certainly not to a point where she couldn't walk unassisted, with a few months more left in her pregnancy, he was not about to make her strain herself so to get to the Hatching - not to mention up the tiers! - at any kind of clip. Also, he would take any excuse he could get to carry or otherwise fuss over her, so he was absolutely going to take this one.

He'd have them there in short order, to see the babies and watch over their own.

[ candidate ciraine ] - western weyr - she/her

Ciraine was nervous. She was maintaining her calm rather well, even with her anxiety jittering about in her bones, but there was just something electric in the air that had her on edge in the best way possible. This was it--High Reaches was a long way from her home of Western, and she'd see whether or not she'd be staying here at the end of the night.
The heat of the Sands had done plenty to defrost her after enduring both the cold of between and the winter outside, but Ciraine gave a little shiver nonetheless. Her excitement was almost palpable, and she watched the wiggling eggs with only the slightest bit of concern. Only time would tell what happened next.

[ candidate kedriom ] - high reaches weyr - he/him

He'd arrived with the others, making sure to be as early as possible--punctuality was important, just as much as being there at all. He'd bowed to Anakumath and Elzebuth on the way in, of course, and had gotten into position as quickly as possible from there. Kedriom was all too eager to take his place on the Sands with everyone else, enough to where he hadn't even bothered to think much about his position before he'd managed to spot someone waving at him. He recognized Heleste, and it wasn't long before she'd come over to stand by him as well; he certainly couldn't complain about the company, especially not with his nerves already primed and ready how they were.

"It's-- Going to be something, I think." He mustered a small smile, not sure if he should be doubling down on his composure just yet; the eggs had already started to wiggle, but that didn't necessarily mean much. It could be a long while yet before they saw any dragonets hatch, after all. "I'd almost put my money on that bright one?" Kedriom pointed toward the Lisa Frank egg, glancing back at Heleste. "Just because it started moving first doesn't mean it's going to be the first out, but. It seems ready to me."

Dystzha - Western - She/Her

The past few days had been nothing short of Dystzha in her sheer excitement to be allowed to stand for High Reaches’ latest clutch. It was idly balanced with such a torn feeling; her friends, her family being back at Western. Zh’gan, Etansi, and Sivu weren’t even able to come watch. But it’s levied each time she hears an excited whisper about the eggs, every time she spied Surel and could only beam. It was only five short turns, if she did impress. Or.. if Surel impressed. They had a duty to Pern, after all, and that came first -- but they’d be able to transfer back home, eventually.

The humming had startled her out of her thoughts, and Serenity glanced up, her little eyes whirling wildly as she began to hum. Dys gave her a head scratch, slipping out of her attire in favor for the white robes and sandals. F’dral’s words echoed in her mind, even as she moved forward with the rest of the candidates. Remember your training, don’t be afraid, and welcoming thoughts.

Yet as she approached, she’s once more speechless at the awe-filling sight of the parents and their children -- and Dystzha bowed to Anakumath and Elzebuth in turn, before moving off to the side to make room for more candidates. Yet she beamed at Surel, reaching out for her friend in her excitement. “Oh, look at them. Even more darling since the touching.” And so many shaking and chipping away at their shells! They were certainly eager.

Dalini - HR - She/Her

This was it! This was it! The humming she heard first from her little Biscuit, then as dragons picked up the cadence, had Dalini changing gears from dinner to sheer excitement as she struggled to change into her robes. Oh, she was almost shaking as much as those sweet eggs must be! She couldn’t wait to see her first baby dragons. Zenobiath’s clutch had already been so big when she’d first been searched, but now, to see them as they emerged? How could she be so lucky!

She nods along to F’dral’s words, shifting in her sandals as she followed the flood of candidates -- and bowed once to the mother, and father, and--as it had delighted the little black cat egg--to the clutch itself before shuffling off to the side.

But oh, where should she stand? “Could, um,” She pauses, tapping Rahmsii on the elbow gently. “Would it be alright if I stood with you?” Oh there was such a wonderful view of the shaking eggs, and she’d seen him around during lessons and chores…

Spockat

Valian - HR - He/Him

This was it.

His nerves instantly jumped as the humming began, and Valian could only take a few steadying deep breaths as he changed his course from starting to head down for dinner -- and back to the barracks, to his cot to change into his robes and sandals. “C’mere Frostbite.” He scooped up the little blue firelizard, who only peeped up at him around his own hum. “Can you go keep dad company?” The littlest bit of control certainly helped, and he exhaled softly as the blue was between in a flash.

He could do this. He was a trained candidate of High Reaches Weyr, and the son of J’deen. Valian could do this, his privilege of being a weyrbrat. F’dral’s words rooted into his mind, even as he was suddenly bowing to Anakumath and Elzebuth. The irony, to have such memories of being a younger boy watching them both hatch from the stands -- only to find himself on the sands for their clutch together. The young candidate, smiling at the clutch as he found himself a place to stand, risked a glance up -- looking for the familiar bronze of Rekoriath on the ledges, for his father up in the stands. But he had the babies to focus on, and Valian squared himself up a touch as he found a place to stand.

“Good luck today,” He inadvertently found himself wishing to his neighbor, glancing up at Rundanrul.

Iskernyk - Standidate - He/Him

Ah, High Reaches Weyr. It seemed that he was always coming back here to enjoy such cold winters, though it wasn’t entirely bad in the hatching grounds. Certainly warmer on the sands, but in good company in the stands certainly wasn’t that bad. His legs idly crossed at the knee as soon as he sat down, and Sir took his place in his usual lazy-lap-flitter place. Madam perched on his shoulder, though she was looking out for a different brown flitter.

“High Reaches is certainly plentiful this turn.” He leaned gently against K’ent as the other sat down, humming gently as he scanned through the crowd of candidates as they came in. Darlings, all of them -- and he’s only the barest hint of jealousy in him when he’s in good company, but where was the one specific candidate he was here to see….

“Ah! There--” He leaned over more, gently pointing out Rahmsii to his companion. “There he is! My brother!” Iskernyk is almost giddy with his grin, beaming at the greenrider. “Oh I can’t wait to introduce you later.”

Kahbrohm - He/Him

Kahbrohm nearly snorted. "We'll see what it thinks of that," because frankly, Kahbrohm wouldn't turn away any dragon who came over to take in his greatness - which would be any who wanted a look at something good, clearly. But he at least did his best to not overshadow the sheer milky goodness that would be the thoughts that came from the rest of the candidates. At least, what he imagined they were like.

"I'm sure some will come take a good look at you too, of course." after all, Jihiro obviously had good taste to hang around him so that meant he was worth having some admirers in the form of hatchling dragons too.

Cetra - She/Her

A wobble seemed to make it's way through the eggs the same way a yawn would a room of people, and Cetra took in every shake and wiggle with taut anticipation. She shifted from foot to foot, quietly wondering to herself which egg would break shell first.

----

Lihyo - She/Her

The wobbling made that excited fluttering in her chest catch in her throat, threatening to choke her out. She'd considered the entire affair of candidacy and the idea of impression with a clinical muteness before it had been upon her with such force.

She hadn't even let her thoughts linger on a single egg until she saw Sunshine sway - then she was transfixed by the brightly colored egg, perhaps holding her breath a little.

-----

Midrymear - He/Him

Of course she didn't - Midrymear half-smiled at his sister's answer to his question. Having it turned back upon him was also not unexpected. "Not sure. A brown, perhaps," the answer was given with an almost mild dismissiveness. "I won't pretend I'd turn away a bronze, though." What boy on the sands would, especially at High Reaches?

Beelim - He/Him

Oh, they were all beginning to wiggle and shake - but it also felt like it was taking an eternity. They could have all hatched immediately and it would have felt like a painfully slow time, though. So it was that brim of excitement had finally drowned out his perpetual hunger than any impatience that made it feel like things were slow.

Beelim looked between all of the rocking eggs with curious anticipation. What would each hold?

----
Niika - She/Her

To anybody else, her faint smile would have looked like anything but that. "Of course," Niika knew better than to pick somewhere too uncomfortable to sit after being on the sidelines so long. I'd dare pick somewhere he'd be able to find me for a moment if time allows, but I suspect before too long he'll have his hands too full for me. Niika informed Eriath privately.

Before stepping away to go find her seat, however, she moved to brush a hand against one of his cheeks and planted a kiss on the other. "I'll see you later, then."

Then, Niika was off to find a seat that.....well...would be easy enough to spot her in if A'zota indeed found enough time to watch the going ons.

A loud crack sounded from the Lisa Frank Egg... but it did not leave its shell. Almost as though it were waiting for something... or someone. At the fore of the clutch, the Blue Moon Egg chipped away at its extensive shell, the dragonet within giving a huff of frustration.

Mailse

Had she not been so far along, Mailse would have argued a little harder over being carried. As it was, however, she at least tried to not look like she was enjoying being carried by the strapping bronzerider who was responsible for her condition as much as she was. Frankly, she was failing at it, one hand around his shoulder and the other rested against her belly, as though it would simply get away from her if she didn't hold it in place.

"Here is to both of our own having a better hatching than previous ones," really, if a baby dragon went running at Miela again, she doubted the girl would ever look at the sands with desire ever again. Seeing her daughter standing so far away wasn't much of a comfort either and she couldn't help but wish that her little darling would find a friend or two to stand with.

"I wish she'd at least be a little closer to some of yours," she sighed, mentally willing it to happen. Maybe.

Phaedrath 'tut'ed in her head. If you get sick you have nobody to blame but yourself, her lifemate informed her tersely and Alosha almost laughed out loud. It's fine! Don't you worry! she brushed it off, then....it was time to see who hatched first.

Nadry and Brown Menankith

Nadry loved Hatching days, and had been especially enthusiastic about them ever since she'd brought her nieces to the Weyr. While she'd always loved Hatchings - especially the Feast after! - having people she cared about on the Sands added an extra layer of excitement and suspense (and a touch of worry). And she had a particularly good feeling about this clutch: it was Elzebuth's, after all! It would be so very perfect if one or both of her nieces Impressed to one of Menankith's nieces or nephews...especially a nephew. A brown one. But a blue would be just as lovely, and so would a green or even a gold! She just had a particular soft spot for browns, for obvious reasons, but in the end it didn't matter what color her nieces Impressed. She just hoped, for their sake, that they would, that their lives would change for the better like hers.

She settled herself in the Stands with R'shahar and C'lusi, and was already leaning forward in her seat even though the eggs had done nothing but wriggle a bit.

Menankith, meanwhile, was happily ensconced with Viandarth and Macuith. And upon arrival had, of course, sent Elzebuth his affection, and Anakumath a somewhat awkward acknowledgement. He still wasn't entirely certain what to make of what his brother had gotten himself into, though the young gold did seem...nice.

Talis and Blue Holleth

Talis, to be quite honest, didn't have much interest in Hatchings at this point. Since La'hisen had Impressed, nearly a Turn ago now, she had no one in particular she felt the need to keep her eye on, though she and Holleth had Searched a couple of Candidates in the lead-up to this clutch. Baby dragons were wonderful and all, the future of Pern and so on, but unlike some, the bluerider was far from on the edge of her seat. She was kicked back casually, interested but not invested, though she was happy for Anakumath and Martirae, and she did hope that things went smoothly.

"At least they picked a decent hour instead of waking everyone up in the middle of the night," she observed dryly.

Holleth could have rolled his eyes at His, but instead, he put it out of mind, and tucked himself in close to Slidrianth. He did offer Anakumath a whisper of affection, brief and quiet and unobtrusive. No doubt there were many offering her their best wishes, and with her clutch about to break shell, he wouldn't dare to take any of her attention. She had much more pressing concerns than her tiny blue cousin, and he didn't begrudge her that.

Sylfie and Gold Hesperith

Ah. A Hatching day. Always a cause for hope and celebration, and always much easier when her gold wasn't the one who'd clutched, meaning there were little to no expectations placed on her for the day. She'd need to attend the Feast for a little while, at least, but...maybe they'd be entertaining a certain guest again? Sylfie could hope, and deliberately stopped herself from trying to spot a certain distinctive hide amongst all the perched dragons. She just quietly found herself a place in the Stands and settled in to watch.

Above, Hesperith had found a perch with plenty of room for guests of her own, if any handsome gentlemen might wish to attend her. Raizunth, my brave dear, are you feeling up to watching the Hatching with me? She knew that flying was still a bit tricky for the bronze, as he'd only recently lost an eye, but hopefully it wasn't asking too much of him to come to her! If not, I will happily tell you all about it.

Bronze Raizunth

Of course, coming!

Flying was indeed tricky, but that didn't mean that the big oaf wasn't about to try anyways when Hesperith called for him to perhaps take a seat next to her glorious side. The smaller bouts weren't as awful, even if he nearly booped right into another dragon going in for a landing on another ledge to watch from, and he landed with.....well, as much grace as he never had to settle next to the lovely gold.

Even if he over-estimated his attempt to sit and all but bonked into her before settling almost sheepishly. Sorry, he sighed, leaning all of his weight into Hesperith contently. It wasn't the first time he'd been a bumbling idiot, and this was mostly because, well....he was half-blind for it.

Hunthyex - He/Him

Hunthyex regarded Vannik once more--but this time, with what might have been a slight look of respect. It wasn't the attitude he'd come to expect from High Reaches. "I think people forget that." Was all he said, his gaze sharpening at another loud crack emerged from one of the eggs.

Oranie - She/Her

Oranie wouldn't pry out of respect, but oh, she was curious. Had Elibrie had that special moment that Candidates always talked about? Juhvek seemed as calm and composed as always, which was nice to rely on, honestly... "I'm not sure... Blue Moon, maybe?" The dragonet seemed awfully determined!

She wasn't so sure she'd feel the same way about a gold, mind you. The queens weren't fighters... not that there was anything wrong with that.

Jihiro - He/Him

"Faranth, it seems like it's ready to be out of there!" He was watching intently, though had to pause to give his friend a good-natured grin at his assurance. "Hope so!" It'd be fantastic to think a dragon would find him today, but he wouldn't let it get him down if it didn't happen. He still had plenty of time left.

The rush of warmth from a familiar bronze made his grin even wider, and he tried to send back his love to Hyglath and, of course, Herg'r! It was easier to stand taller, knowing his dad was watching!

Phryana and Gold Kleoth

Kleoth knew she was exceedingly fortunate to be able to attend Anakumath's hatching, and her eyes whirled with every shade of purple even as she hummed with joy. What beautiful children! Oh, her friend must be so proud! Good fortune to you and your mate today, Anakumath, and congratulations on your darlings! She had already dropped off the Candidates she had ferried over, as well as her own Phryana. The greeting from Samodith was enough to have her croon with delight.

Oh, Samodith! How kind of you! Thank you for the invitation. She didn't hesitate to wing her way over, settling delicately beside the green despite her size. How exciting! Oh, Anakumath must be so proud. She was practically radiating with delight, unable to help herself.

J'deen and Bronze Rekoriath

Though the bronze was still entirely cranky about his missing eye, he had a particular interest in this Hatching. J'deen certainly didn't mind welcoming his son's firelizard, giving the tiny creature a scritch even as he focused on the tiny figure down on the sands. His son's first Hatching. There was no small amount of pride that he felt now, looking at him. To think he was finally old enough to Stand...

You do us both proud. Rekoriath thought to the boy, rumbling with satisfaction.

Lusialu
Lusialu couldn't believe that today was the day. Dinner had all but been forgotten as soon as the humming began--and she hardly remembered throwing on her Candidate robes. It had been near chaotic within them, with people half-trampling one another to get cleaned up and into their proper attire. The Barracks had been more crowded than usual, what with Westerner's having been ferried in everyday for the past seven--as well as a few last-minute Candidates brought in on Search. For all the chaos and commotion, by the time she, and the rest, reached the hot-Sands, it was an entirely different affair. She hardly noticed the dragons, riders, and guests being ferried to the tiers. All she noticed was the eggs, wiggling, rocking, and looking more beautiful than ever.

Today, they would meet High Reaches newest darlings.

Who among them would walk away with a new lifemate? Oh, she hoped--but dared not think of herself. She wanted a dragon above all else--but she also knew the crushing weight of disappointment. Even after three Turns being left standing, the feeling of being left alone was never easy, especially for such a covetous girl as herself.

But she would be happy if they all found Theirs, and could only hope that maybe, if one was not meant for her, than perhaps her friends. Wouldn't it be lovely if Kinye, or even sweet Elibrie, found Theirs? And then of course there was Yunara, her foster-sister, and newly Searched. She was torn on where to go--did she see how Yunara fared--but she spotted Kinye first. Elibrie looked to be with her sister, so she wouldn't bother the girl...But maybe she could move Kinye a bit closer to Yunara.

"Look at these beauties," she whispered, reaching over to give Kinye's hand a quick, friendly squeeze as she headed over.

Melka
Another Hatching, and Melka was absolutely delighted. She was less nervous and more eager--while she certainly wanted to Impress, and daydreamed of someday meeting her destiny--she found the entire spectacle a treasure. The disappointment was unpleasant, but the comfort and reassurance she often found during the Feast was enough to keep the sting of rejection bearable.

Besides which, Draza hadn't yet found Hers either--and while she hoped that perhaps their fortune would change at the same time--there was some relief that her sibling hadn't outshone her. Settling in with Draza, Melka couldn't help but grin. "A perfect night for a Hatching, I'd say--and all the better to keep us out of the cold." It was hot on the Sands, but with the winter chill gripping the peaks of High Reaches, it was almost comfortable. They certainly wouldn't worry about freezing down here!

"Which one do you think will go first?" She asked, admiring the eggs. Like her sister, she didn't much care where they stood--the dragonets would move among them soon enough.

There was a lot of waiting for the eggs to wriggle and move--but Melka didn't mind. They could take as long as they wanted, as far as she was concerned. Glancing over, she spotted Hevali and Finnisa just a few feet over from where they'd settled. "Good luck, you two! Maybe we'll all get lucky, eh?"

Razanel
Razanel bowed before the great queen and her brown mate, before moving aside to take his place among the rest of the Candidates. This was his fourth Turn standing for clutches, and he was eager to see who got paired with what. While part of the lad wanted to find his best-mate on the Sands, another part of him was simply happy to be participating at all. He was still young enough not to worry about his age--sometimes it took Turns before a Candidate Impressed, and Razanel was in no rush. His father was a rider, so he liked to think his chances were still reasonably high.... And his twin hadn't Impressed yet, either. All the better!

Settling in next to Nuamia and Dehka, the young man couldn't help but speak. "Oh, which one you think'll crack open first? " He asked, not really expecting an answer, but too excited to keep still or silent. Hatchings were always an adrenaline rush. Where some might sit silent or be aloof, Razanel wasn't the sort. Hatchings could well take hours... though he certainly hoped this one wouldn't!

Rahimar
Rahimar had spent much of the past sevenday getting better acquainted at High Reaches. He didn't care for the biting cold, and certainly preferred the milder--ableit rainier--weather of Western Weyr--but there were eggs on the Sands, and new people to befreind. He had no strong ties to Western Weyr, and figured he might as well double his chances at finding a lifemate. Besides, he missed traveling, if he was perfectly honest about his life--but with Thread's return, and the loss of his troupe--there wasn't really anywhere for him to go.

Ah, but that didn't matter--he was a Candidate now, and finest one of the lot, if he did say so himself.

Bowing to Anakumath and Elzebuth, the man didn't bother looking for a familiar face. While there were Westerner's aplenty, he wasn't shy, and had always been more than a little sociable. "Room for one more, ladies?" He asked, sauntering right on over to the two. Certainly, they'd have an even better time of it now that he was here--and he could at least make sure to be a meat-shield should things turn violent.

Rundanrul

Quite a few of the eggs were moving and shaking, one even already chipping away slowly at the shell. They all seemed ready to come out, it was just a matter of how quickly they could make their way through the tough membrane and hard exteriors of their tiny little prisons. They might have been safe havens before, but Rundanrul could only imagine how cramped and uncomfortable they must be to the larger dragons.

A voice beside him made him glance down and over to spot a Candidate a few Turns younger than him, clearly delighted to be here. It reminded him of his own first time standing and although this boy was clearly from High Reaches - Run would have recognized him otherwise - he decided he wouldn't snub him by not responding.

"Luck has nothing to do with it. My dragon is either out there or not."

Didn't mean he couldn't try to play the wisened Candidate, though.

"First time?"

Surel

Surel was glad Dys was going to stand with her, memories from the last clutch coming back strong. There'd been some shaky moments there where Dys had stepped in front of Surel to protect her from rampaging babies and while she felt badly about using her friend as a shield, she was eternally grateful to have someone as strong as Dys to try to stave off an attack. Not that they really should be trying to duel the babies, oh no. Just absorb the brunt of the blows.

Hopefully this clutch wouldn't come to that!

"Look how active they area already," she said as she watched Lisa Frank and Blue Moon, both going about their ways to try to escape their shells.

Versha

Things were already starting to get underway it seemed! How exciting! She stopped glancing up in the stands to try to spot Verica and instead focused on the eggs completely, watching with delight as Lisa Frank rolled and rocked to try to escape. She sent it a little wave of encouragement, remembering its reply that it was at the front of the clutch rather than at the back. Wouldn't that be grand if it were to hatch first? It did say it liked attention after all. To be the first out would certainly be a moment to remember!

Nuamia She/her - Western

Nuamia looked over at Razanel when he spoke. “I think that the the first one will be one of the small ones. Not sure which though!” She gestured to the blue moon egg. “That one seems very determined. What color do you think will hatch first?” She grinned at Dekha as well. “What about you?” She might not know everyone on the sands but it was easy enough to talk about eggs and dragons.

Divisti She/her - High Reaches

DIvisti looked over at Beelim who was standing near her, curiously. With the eggs still only rocking she was finding her thoughts straying just slightly. They were still egg focused but also on the other candidates around her. It was always interesting to try and see what people were thinking. Even if she didn’t like having people do that to her. Finally her curiosity got the better of her. “Which one are you most excited for?”

Heleste She/her - High Reaches

“It is certainly moving a lot.” Heleste agreed with Kedriom. “Though, who knows, sometimes an egg goes from still to hatched is seconds. Could be any of them.” She nudged the other candidate. “Got any favorites from the Touching?” It was a standard question but she was curious. She didn’t really have a favorite from the Touching herself, though she liked all the ones she had touched.
