 Angela Uriah StrongAngela smiled at Rich. Yeah, Rich. Right? No, yeah, she was right. Yeah. Rich. Okay. "Cool. Rich. Yeah, so then, you're doing good. You have a nickname, that's cool, I don't have one. I like being called Angela, cause that's my name." Conversation seemed to be dwindling down, and Angela decided to say quiet and look around, listen to the other people at the table who were talking at the moment.

Angela Uriah StrongAfter a moment, Angela spoke again. She kind of couldn't help it, though, she really just wanted to talk right at this moment, something to save her from acting stupid. "So Rufus, what's your story? I mean, on the train over here, I've heard a lot about everyone, but didn't particularly care until this moment." Angela wrinkled her nose and sighed inwardly, not because she was bored, but because this was all a little awkward. Not that it was awkward to be here at the moment, because it wasn't, it was just the fact that tonight she would be sleeping in a strange bed without anyone she knew well with her, it kinda freaked her out in the strangest way. But she was a bit curious, to see how this all works. This Hogwarts place.
Then, Rich spoke. Oh, wait, Rick, not Rich. Oops. "Oh, I'm sorry. I guess I'm going deaf or it's loud in here or something, I thought you said Rich." Angela said, trying to make a joke about the mistake. But she really felt bad. Okay, Rick, it is.
"Oh, I know it probably has plenty of nicknames like that, but I don't like nicknames. They're great for other people, but I love being called Angela, fully, and respectively." Angela looked away from him and down at the table, slightly embarrassed. Okay, seriously, messing up someone's name was really embarrassing. Really, super embarrassing. Ugh, oh wow. I'm a great person. He must think I'm an... just. Ugh.

Rick suddenly felt bad, and awkward, and well... Less like he'd fit in than anything. He honestly didn't mean to make Angela feel bad about the mistake. Just my luck, he thought miserably. "It's fine. I'm just... Well I can't necessarily say that I really talk to a lot of people, usually." Okay, the beginning of the school year couldn't feel this bad, right? "That's all right. Not everyone likes nicknames, anyway. Just means you're an individual." Okay, he really needed to get off the topic of names, like really quickly. However, he didn't quite know what else to talk about yet, so he just closed his mouth and went ahead and looked over at the Sorting.

Angela Uriah StrongAngela nodded. She didn't speak for a moment, just stared down at the table, then looked up at the long tables and let her eyes sweep over them. For a few seconds, she looked up, and then she spoke. "Well, hey, you're a Ravenclaw now. I mean, we stab each other in the back at times but you're going to be here for seven years, after that, it'll be like family. Ain't that nice? But don't worry about it. I don't have a lot of close friends either, I'm kind of alone here. I just talk a lot, like about now."
Angela smiled at Rick. "So, what about your life. I mean, sharing is how you get to know other people and this dinner thing is kinda like a mixer, so you know, you share something, someone else shares something. Life experiences, all that jazz." Angela waited for a moment, and turned to Gracie. "Oh yes, I'll be asking you all what your names are in the morning." This was pretty much the extent of life, but she spoke again, aloud so most of the first years in the vicinity could hear here. "So, what's everybody's favorite thing, huh? Me? I watch TV. Muggle moving pictures."

Angela Uriah StrongAngela looked to Rosa. "Oh, I'm sorry." Angela said, slowing down her speaking for everyone. "I know, I talk faster than most people, and you know, I say a whole bunch of stuff that probably doesn't matter, but you know, that's just the way I am. So, Rosa. You know, I had a teacher that was named Rosa. She was... strange." Angela smiled gently. "No reflection on anyone named Rosa, just the one that I know, she was the strange one. I'm sure you're perfectly sane."
