Liori was quite impressed with her squad mates, the bright haired one was quite handy with those wooden knives and the quiet one who seemed to be yet another person with blood that allowed control over ice. 'These gals are quiet interesting.' She thought to herself as the quiet one decided to speak up, it seemed she was going to leave the group for a little bit. It wasn't long after she left that Seiji decided deconstruction would be put on hold for the time being and that they'd instead be working on rebuilding and moving the rubble out of the way. She stretched her arms out before going back to work, the mouths on her hands writhing with boredom as she began lifting bricks out of the way. She dug her way through the large pile of rubble once more, wanting to make doubly sure she hadn't missed anything important. It took her a little bit before finding anything that looked useful. Most of what remained was just broken bricks, burnt wood, and small pieces of metal. She began tossing out any small scraps of metal from the rubble into her already messy pile. [1/3]
Nearing the flat ground she was about to give up, but she spotted something glittering out of the corner of her eye. Moving a small metal sheet she found a small locket, the copper case dented and the latch broken. The picture inside was pristine, if a little frayed at the edges, a tiny picture of a family all smiling. She frowned ever so slightly before putting it in her pocket for safe keeping while she continued combing the building like a fine toothed comb. She had been doing her best to pretend that the rust all around her wasn't there, unfortunately for her Seiji had to go and bring it up. Her eyes started to ache as she looked around the rubble, now completely away to all the tiny flakes and shards of rust that surrounded her. She started to think back to that blood curdling scream, that pink haired woman making those un-human movements. [2/3]
She gripped her arms and crouched down out of sight. 'C'mon Liori your stronger than this. So you were almost blinded by the stuff so what? It looked like Hatsu got it a lot worse because you were so slow in getting help... If I just stayed I might have been able to help.' The events that caused the devastation that was the rust started playing over in her head. Shaking her head she started moving the horrible thoughts out of her head. She slapped her cheeks slightly in an attempt to fend it off, her eyes opening. 'Get a hold of yourself, your on a mission. Save this bullshit for later.' She thought, covering her face with her hands before taking a deep breath. Nerves finally calmed she stood back up, no longer hidden by the bricks and wood. "I-it looks like this building doesn't have any more salvageable belongings." She told Seiji before climbing out, her hands careful to avoid any large clumps of rust. Digging around in her pocket she pulled out the dented locket and placed the copper trinket down on top of the pictures she had found. Sighing she looked over to the metals she had pulled from the building and started sorting them by type, wanting to at least attempt to look neat and tidy. Karleen heeded Seiji's warning before beginning to pick things up herself. She made a few hand seals, using her custom idea once more to raise her strength so that she could pick up rubble she wouldn't have otherwise been able to. The female started sifting through the ruins of the building she had destroyed, putting everything that could be reused in to a pile by the rubble of stone and concrete. Most of the salvageable things were what you'd expect; rebar, glass that could be melted down and reused, wooden tables that were broken but could be re-purposed. She wasn't completely sure what had happened here, as she had been out of the village, but she could only imagine how many people were hurt or killed in the fight that happened here...
Lifting up a bit of collapsed floor, she spotted a torn teddy bear. It brought back bittersweet memories of her childhood, the memories she often tried to keep at bay. Her normally bright and cheery exterior seemed to harden suddenly, her mouth becoming a straight line. Winter was coming, and it seemed as if next to no one except her squad was working on the repairs. How many couples would lose their children to exposure if they didn't finish soon? How many children would be orphaned just like her? Her eyes blazed with anger, what was everyone up to? Why wasn't this a top priority for the village? Why was no one else here to do what it was expected of the shinobi force? They were meant to keep the civilians safe and happy, they were an army after all; even if that meant reducing themselves to simple workers.
Karleen pushed the wall over, picking up the torn teddy bear to inspect it. One eye was missing, an arm was torn off, and it was missing about eighty-five percent of it's lower body. It seemed that it had been almost rotted away, but what could have done that? Some flakes of what seemed to be rust were stuck in the fur of the stuffed animal, and Karleen dusted it off before walking over to the pile and softly setting it down. Maybe she would find someone to fix it up later, surely whatever child had had it before was missing it now. The young gennin straightened up, sighing softly and looking at the teddy bear. She hoped the owner was still alive... Shaking the horrible thoughts from her head, Karleen moved back to the ruined house and continued to sift through what was left. It seemed that everywhere she looked were shattered memories of the people who once lived here. Broken picture frames, bent and disfigured jewelry of inmeasurable worth, priceless nick nacks shattered to pieces. Her heart grew heavy with every discovery that she made.
She remembered how it felt, to come to in the hospital to find that her home had been decimated and everything she knew was gone. She knew how it felt to lose everyone she loved, and the fact that her home was gone as well had thrown her in to a limbo. What did you do when something that tragic happened and you had nothing left, not even an old photo or scrap of clothing to cling to. She didn't have to imagine the pain the people were going through that lived here, she knew it all too well. Once she was sure everything of value was salvaged, she moved away from the rubble and called over to her teammates. "I'm done over here too! What's next?" She could only manage a half smile, anger and sadness still smoldering in her eyes. It would take a while before she was back to her normal cheery and ridiculous self.

This causes any taijutsu or bukijutsu for [3] posts to be [1] rank stronger and [1] rank faster than normal and causes mild dehydration upon impact, however it leaves the person physically exhausted and mildly dehydrated as a result so it must be used with caution. Rin as she had promised returned to the residential area as Seiji had finished a warning about being careful with the rust. She had noted this, of course you had to be careful, but then maybe she was always overly cautious. She noted that instead of demolition they were doing clean up so she would start clean up as well.
She hadn't been around when the problems and chaos had started but she worried, while she might be able to handle the outside and the cold because of her bloodline others could not. She spotted her team mates they had managed to find odd items here and there, the one that struck her was the teddy bear. She hoped everything would be fine, and that other people would pitch in to fix this area.
True to form she organized everything as she picked it up placing wood with wood be it home or furniture, metal with metal, pipes to stronger areas thing she wouldn't be able ot move shed have to ask for help moving but she would continue with the metal although shed be very cautious about where shed grab the metal and move on. She would be sure to place any other materials together in their own piles as well, neat and orderly was definitely the best way to keep things.
She eventually found some idle items belonging to whomever the home had belonged to, a photograph of the family, and some toys, a ball and a small doll. She let out a sigh, it pained her to think what might've happened to the villagers whom these items belonged to but she would push it aside for now she had to focus on the task at hand. "I'm almost done here" Shed call out managing to move the items into their own little 'pile' she was saddened by the idea of people being without homes for too long, the cold was nothing to her, but it was death to others, and if she could avoid the deaths of others she would.

One of the buildings shifted, loose debris shifting from underneath as Karleen was working in the rubble beneath it. The sounds of skittering stone and creaking metal could be heard along the frame of the building and the shadows around the district shifted as the building began to sway. Turning to check over his squad as he had finished with his own pile of debris. It started with a precursor, bricks began to fall from the top of the wall as it began its and Seiji was the first to move. One such piece of detritus fell immediately to Karleen's side and Seiji couldn't be sure if it had struck her or not.
"Squad, move!" Seiji shouted as he turned on his heel and a burst of chakra came from his body.
Drawing his true katana he leapt forward with the force of the Demon Speed Rain, the air around him chilling and giving off fractal patterns of creeping ice upon the ground as he rushed to the member of his team caught directly in the wall's path. His blade extending over her to shatter a large chunk of the wall as it careened towards her, the Hattori would then look to her, his left arm hooking over her shoulders as he twisted her off to one side and attempted to shove her aside.
"It is coming down." The Hattori stated as he focused forward.
The debris looked as if it were barely holding on now, the collapsed wall shuddered, the sounds of wires popping and dirt falling to the ground, rocks bouncing off of the crumbling structure on their own tumultuous journey to the end. And a lone figure sat before it as it collapsed. Powerlines that had been holding the last of the wall up snapped and flew wildly, workers in the distance added to the clamour and clangour as they shouted out warnings about the snapping wires. The top quarter of the wall came down first, and the ever dour Seiji looked on to the structural failure, raising his blade to meet it.

Description: The user of the technique allows the user, by focusing chakra and applying it to movement in explosive bursts, the user moves at an greater speed than they normally would. Upon closing the distance, the user will thrust their blade at the enemy. The technique is often hard to miss, as if it is done correctly, it will appear as fire (of the user's own chakra signature/color) given off by the user.

Rin was still moving debris when she heard the houses movements, it grabbed her attention quickly. This house was going to go down and by the sound of it was going down quickly and heavily. What could she do? There was barely any time to move and here it was she might end up having a bunch of helpless civilians in the hospital. Without even thinking about it she dashed toward it, why? She hadn't the slightest clue, maybe because she knew deep down they were all in it together and had to do their best for themselves and their village, so she'd concentrate, she knew there was one thing she could do to help protect them but it would require time, of which she didnt have. [1/5] There it was that sensation again, the desperation she had felt as a child when running away from the bear. It was vivid in her mind that day those moments, the bear. Now thought it was different, it wasnt a bear and it wasnt just her life, her chakra flowing she could feel the urgency of this and she needed to act as quickly as possible. [2/5] The distance felt eternal as she heard Seiji's words "Squad move!" Shed hear him say and thats all she was doing, of course he was faster he was stronger he had more training he was better prepared to react than she was. But she would continue to let her chakra surge, she knew what she had to do and she knew she would do it.[3/5] At the sight of the entrance to the home she realized why Seiji was movin so quickly, Karleen was inside, she thought it might've been some careless civilian, she was wrong, and now more than ever she needed to help her team mates "It is coming down." her squad leader would say, the anxiety was climbing up her spine as she heard all of the things breaking and crashing, wires snapping and rocks falling. [4/5] And in that instant as stupid as it felt she'd be running into that house, jumping in reaching Seiji and Karleen in time, both her arms raised in the air, and once she was in before everything went down on them shed create a dome of ice, her hands where shaking a bit but shed manage to be fine, she kept her arms up as she layed to the ground looking up to the sky, or well more exactly the dome she had formed. Not the brightest way to enter a falling unsteady house but she had made it. Shed wait a while letting the debris and everything crash down around them. "...." Shed breathe and let out a sigh"That was far too close for comfort..." shed say her hands still shaking a bit as she sat up keeping her arms still up until the debris all finally settled. [5/5]

Liori's head perked up from her sorting moments after Seiji's words registered in her mind. She twisted on her feet to face her squad leader as he drew their attention to a building collapsing around one of the other girls, her hands digging into her clay pouches. 'Crap, not fast enough to get their in tim-' She started to think, her mind running calculations as the usually docile Rin running into the danger. Her hopes raised as she saw Rin lifting her hands to the sky, ice forming around the three just in the nick of time. As the rubble crashed down Liori's hands were already busy working on a situation to get rid of the rubble. "I have no idea how long that will hold... need work fast." She mumbled, her legs running on their own towards her trapped squad. Her hands felt like kilns as her chakra surged around her mending mouths. Her eyes darted around the rubble looking for the best place to spread her Bakuton. "Alright! Brace yourselves! I have no idea how well this will work!" She yelled, her mind unsure if using her explosives was the best idea but she it was all she could think of. A mental ding rung through her mind as she lifted her hands upwards, the mending mouths opening their lips in an 'O' shape as they spewed forth their concoction of liquid clay. She focused the bulk of it directly in the center of the ruble so the explosion would send everything outwards. As her mouths closed she brought her hands together and formed the Rat seal. The milky white liquid ignited as a small shock wave pushed from the center blasting the rubble trapping her squad outwards and off the top of the dome. <********. Hope the dome held.' Was all she could muster, covering her mouth as she held her breath and waited for the dust to settle. [-40 Chakra] Chakra Pool: [225 //405] Stamina: [145 //145]

Bakuton: Hedoro [ Explosive Release: Sludge ] Rank: B Description: The user feeds two lumps of clay to different mouths on their body and begin to form a short string of handsigns, which end on the rat sign. The clay will then seep from the mouths they were placed in, drooling across the ground until it makes contact with its target(s). Upon making contact, the clay will jump up and attempt to engulf the target. When the user releases the rat handsign, the nearly liquid clay will explode.

She had hear considerable creaking and moving about before, but she had reassured herself by telling herself that it was only the structure settling, but now she knew that it was a mistake. She snapped up to look at the debris on top of her, only to see a piece crumble and fall right to her side. She stumbled off to the side, her feet catching in the rubble, and it struck her hand hard as she tried to move out of the way. she let out a gasp, and she felt the pain sore up her entire arm. She knew already that it was broken, the piece of rubble was far too big and it fell far too hard for it to be anything other.
And then another piece was falling, but she could hear movement. Before she knew what was happening, she felt familiar cold arms wrap around her and throw her to the side. Then everything else followed, her teammates coming to her rescue, adn then seiji rescue, as the building collapsed in around them. Shellshocked, she just sat there on the ground, wide eyed. She barely heard Loiri's voice as she called out to them in the rubble, and then with a bang she cleared it all away, leaving the dome. But she was just sitting there, staring at Seiji, her eyes wide. This man that didn't even know her risked his life and put himself in to danger to save her, why would anyone do that? She couldn't understand the reasoning behind someone so cold and distant racing to her aid... She stumbled up, the gasped as the pain in her hand came back, she must have fallen on it when Seiji threw her to the ground.
Karleen hesitated for a moment before moving towards Seiji, hugging him tightly. Sure it was like hugging a solid block of ice but it was worth it, his quick actions did just literally save her life. "T-Thank you Hattori-san... I... I-I was being an idiot, I should have kept a better ear out.. I'm so sorry you had to risk yourself like that..." Her hand was throbbing, she could feel it all the way up and in to her shoulders as waves of pain coursed through her appendage. She would most likely need it checked soon, but it could wait for now. The cold that rolled off Seiji helped easy the pain a little, maybe she should call him Mr. Ice pack man from now on.

Still holding his sword at the ready, preparing himself to strike again, he faced forwards through the first wave of detritus that fell, a small chunk of steel catching him across his face, but just as the biggest portion began to follow behind it he heard the footsteps of Rin behind him and saw the sudden formation of Ice, a protective dome enshrouded them. Then the great collapse. It fell and crested around the protective dome, burying them in their icy shield. Then without missing a beat a series of pops and explosions began, just as Seiji felt an arm wrap itself around him.
A sense of warmth filled the Hattori that compared to nothing he knew before, and while the others spoke everything seemed to just fade out for him. Turning to face his teammates he would feel a different warmth, blood coursing along his face. Though when he saw Karleen's face he smiled, it all just seemed to melt away for him.
"Carelessness gets us killed. But I won't lose you. Any of you." Seiji spoke as he wrapped an arm back around Karleen and planted a small kiss on her forehead.
As he pulled back he would notice the blood he had spilled upon her brow.
"s**t, I wasn't quick enough to avoid something." He spoke, not realizing just how much of a slice he bore upon his own forehead and cheek, down the entirety of the right side.
"Your arm took a bad hit, Miss Awarmik. Let's get you to the hospital for checkup and see if I can get a bandage for this. Then we'll report our progress here to Kaileer."
"Miss Mundo, Miss Yukimori, good reaction times and very good defenses. You all get a pass from my end of things." He said with a smile, the sickeningly sharp taste of iron and blood on his lips as he spoke.

Rin stood up rubbing her lower back "oh yeah I'll be feeling that tomorrow..." shed say, listening to her senseis words shed feel good about being able to make it to him and her team mate in time "Thank you Sir."shed say while looking down to get rid of the dirt and debris on her clothes and back by shaking it all down or off. Her hair was now stained brownish in some areas because shed layed down. Soon enough shed look up to see his face had been slashed but she refused to comment as she had heard him and he was fully aware of the wound. "Yeah lets get you two out of here..." shed say a hint of worry in her tone. Shed look to Liori and wave "Thanks!" shed yell at her teammate. Shed then look down to try and find whatever fragment had slashed Seijis face, hoping it wasnt as rusted as everything else. She managed to find a piece of metal that did indeed have blood but she wasnt sure if it had dripped off his face or not, shed inspect it anyway to make sure a rusted area hadn't hit him. Feeling semi confident in her assumption she'd lead the way out of the small encirclement of debris, making sure to move anything that could possibly make her team mates trip.

A sigh of relief escaped Liori's lips, her attack hadn't destroyed the dome and the three that were alive at least. She ran her hands through her hair before she started walking towards the ground. From a the distance things had looked fine but the closer she got the more she noticed was wrong. Her stomach was in knots when she finally re-grouped with them. 'Well at least one of them doesn't seem injured...' She reasoned with herself looking at Rin who seemed to escape with just dirty hair from what she could tell. She just nodded to her teammates 'thanks,' turning her attention to Seiji. Making mention of heading to the hospital before reporting their progress in the residential district. Drawing his hand into his sleeve the chuunin would remove a canteen of water. Handing it to Karleen he also made a quick sweeping motion with his hands, kneading chakra with one while sweeping Karleen into his arms with the other. The blood on his face would begin to freeze, temporarily sealing the wound and lowering the speed that blood flowed to his face.
Picking up Miss Awarmik he looked to the other two, his face cold and porcelain in colour.
"Miss Mundo, I would like it if you went to the Raikage's office and turned in the status on what we've done. I'll carry Miss Awarmik to the Hospital. Miss Yukimori, if you could travel alongside Miss Mundo, so no one is alone." The Hattori spoke with a bit of resistance from the ice upon the blood.

Exhaustion was setting in, it would take a very long time to get used to pushing herself that hard, and she was glad she had a chance to get used to it out of battle because in a battle situation she would have been nearly useless. Her voice showed the warriness she felt, but she felt safe in Seiji's arms, like nothing could ever harm her as long as he was beside her. "Let's get going Seiji... 'Now to think of something to base them off of? Snowmen? Little critters?' She thought, finally catching up to her partner. She continued to think as she trailed behind.
