I'm not sure what the rule is for casinos. I can't say that I've ever been to one. As for the smoking... I grew up around cigarette smoke so I know it isn't as harmful as tv ads always say it is. It does smell unpleasant, though... unless they are smoking specialty cigarettes such as the clove cigarettes that Leko and Ayami enjoy, or fine cigars.

I never said I lived in Washington. :/

I live in Oregon, where the 10 feet law is in place. I probably won't plan on going to any bar and grills or taverns in Washington if my mom decides to once again visit my relatives up there unless they are non-smoking establishments. :/

Tho I do love bar and grill/tavern food.

Oh, I didn't know second-hand smoke wasn't as harmful as TV ads say. Tho I still don't look forward to inhaling it. :/

Well, congratulations Showa. You have been raised with anti-smoking propaganda. It can have some negative effects given enough direct long term exposure, but a day at the casino or a trip every so often to a bar or other establishment in which people are smoking is not going to kill you... or even really harm you aside from smelling bad. If the smoke is really thick, you might feel sick after a while of being exposed if you're not used to being around it, but you will not suffer any long term damage.

A lot of this "anti-smoking" legislation comes from people who personally are against smoking and want to force that on others. Smoking and second-hand smoke are made out to be much worse than they are because of the idea that "the ends justifies the means". In other words, the people that put out this stuff {or at least some of them} know that the information is grossly exaggerated, but defend and stand by it just to convince people not to smoke. While I agree that smoking is not exactly good for you, I do not agree with spreading disinformation about it and not allowing people to make the decision of whether or not to smoke on their own. The decision to smoke should be thought to be the same as alcohol consumption.

Ryzan: Not really my kind of material, but it has fans who will actually pay to own it. I prefer girl-on-girl over guy-on-guy. But if it sells and is legal, I'll draw it.

(Actually I'm terrible at drawing in real life. XD )

TES: Actually, I'd prefer not to even smell bad. But it's good to know that any effects from an hour or two in an environment where people are smoking will go away if I don't repeatedly expose myself to that kind of environment. I pretty much figured that anyway.

*hops onto Ryzan's shoulder to get a look at the drawings*

*lifts his wrist to his chin and giggles*
Come now, Quortek. It is not all that bad~

*points at a drawing in which Tes is pinning him against a wall*

*hops up on Ryzan's other shoulder and tries to get the drawings from him*

*quickly tucks the drawings into his cape and giggles*
Now now, Quortek. These drawings belong to the horned one. I cannot allow you to damage them.

*gently takes the green rabbits off his shoulders one at a time and sets them down on the counter. He then steps back for a moment and looks at the two side by side.*

Gi ussta~ It is becoming difficult to tell who is Tes and who is Draa. You are both certainly different from the other green rabbit... *looks over at the other one on the counter, finishing off a scone*, but compared to each other, you are practically identical in appearance. My time away from the both of you makes the task of discerning your identities even more arduous. Perhaps I should change Quortek back now before this becomes an issue.
