The Machine [Open/Accepting]

"According to Shadow, the secret police seem to be all over the place as well. I guess we'll have to see to this personally. We'll have to divide the staff up. It will be easier to get them to talk when they don't have the security of each other" Damien said, getting more irritated by the second.

"True. Can you ask her where they are? It might give us a good place to start." Jian suggested.

Damien did just that and texted Shadow back. "We should also interrogate the ones we spoke to already. We haven't squeezed them hard enough. They still have some juice left that we need" he said.

'Not at work. I'd go there and try to help you, but I'm kind of busy.' Shadow replied. Immediately, she sent another text. 'Oh oh! This just in! I found out why you're in such a panic. I know where your wanna-be security lady is.'

"I suppose we don't have much of a choice unless we get another lead." Jian replied.

"Yeah, oh hang on one second" Damien said. He then checked Shadow's message. Where is she and how do you know? Damien replied, hoping she was meaning Monica.

After receiving Damien's text, Shadow dialed his number and called him. There was the sound of a train moving, and the sound of gunfire in the background.

Damien picked up. "Hello?" he asked. He quickly whispered to Jian to go check and see if any one was eavesdropping on them.

"Hey. Don't question my sources. They're desperate." She told him, firing off a few round of her gun. "W-woah... whew." She sighed with relief. "Oh yeah, you wanted to hear about that Monica b***h, right? The one who constantly depends on my information network but tries to put it off like she does all the work...." She trailed off, pulling a pin out of a grenade with her teeth before throwing it, followed by an explosion.

"I suppose, if you want to talk about her like that" Damien said, with an unappreciative tone. "Where are you anyway?"

"What's wrong? Is she your girlfriend or something?" Shadow asked, sounding a bit cranky. "And don't ask right now. I'm kind of trying not to die." She said as more explosions went off. "I swear, I can't even get one bloody decent nap..." She said with a swear as a few more gun shots went off. "Lets see. You want to know where she is. How much is she worth to you?"

"Well, not only is she a crucial member of my team, but she's also a rather good friend of mine, as well as the Chief General. Why? What are you proposing?" Damien replied, really wondering where Shadow would be at the moment. She must have crossed the border into Diethelm, unless this was going on at Mt. Angelo. But he heard a train, so that couldn't be...could it?[ He knew of one rail that went to Mt. Angelo.

"You're not catching my drift, darling. Granted, we're both in a terrible position to talk about money." She grunted.

"Hmm. Perhaps, I'm distracting you at the moment. Maybe you should call back when you're less likely to get shot" Damien said to Shadow. While she was the enemy, he considered her important, both for finding information and for her strange blood. She would be useless if this strange blood was spilled all over the ground.

"Ok, let me put it this way. You could say your honey darling is with me, and she's really damn annoying too. They were using this train to smuggle her out, but that's the least of my problems right now. The train's being hijacked, and the Priestess is on board." She said, reloading her gun. "But if you focus on us, they'll initiate the plan to topple your crown while you're back is turned. You have to stay and focus on domestic issues, or you can kiss you're leadership role goodbye." She said, firing a few rounds. "But perhaps you're right. Wanna talk to one of your secret police people while I'm busy? Too bad. I'm handing the phone over anyway." She told him. "Hey you! It's your boss. Talk." She told a soldier, handing him her phone before grabbing a few grenades.

"Huh? Wha? What's going on?" Damien demanded to whoever Shadow handed the phone over to.
