Hotaru watched the cheetah with interest and a smile. He had never seen one before so he didnt know exactly how to approach it. More specifically weather or not he should try to pet it. When she thanked him he smiled and dipped his head,"Pleased to meet you, Nanami. As for the rose its nothing. I saw it and it reminded me of your eyes." When the waiter finally arrived he smiled and order a shrimp ramen with extra shrimp. Turning to Emi he smiled,"Would Nanami like something as well?"

With a smile he took a sip and took a second before responding,"All I seek to gain is a friend." Glancing down at Nanami he smiled,"Or two in this case." Returning his attention to her he tilted his head a bit,"Should I be seeking something else?"

Emi shook her head and sighed, No I just wanted to be sure I wasn't being played. She said taking a sip of her tea enjoying the sweet taste. I hate to let my guard down and then have to put it straight back up because someone decided to play with me like I'm some throwaway toy. Her father had done that. Finally showed her some affection and then turned around and lashed her across the back until her back was nothing but shreds. She definitely carried the scars for that mistake.

Enjoying the sweet taste of his tea he listened to her explain her reasoning for the question. With a smile he began,"Na Im not very good at playing things. That wasnt how I wanted things to change so I left." He really hoped she wouldnt freak out. He enjoyed talking to her and the conversation came easily.

Though he wanted to continue the conversation he smiled as the food arrived. The waiter set both their bowls down and then a large plate of venison onto the floor for Nanami though he wasnt about to hand it to the cheetah. Taking both the chopsticks in his hand he dipped his head for a moment uttering a few words before snapping them apart,"Dig in."

Leaning back up he waited for Emi to translate. After a moment he smiled tilting his head,"Dont sweat it. Youve earned your place her anyone that says otherwise isnt worth the time it takes to correct them. Finishing his dinner he smiled and ordered a small dish of water for Nanami. Reclining back in his seat he smiled as his eyes fell upon her again. He didnt know why he couldnt stop looking at her. Running his hand though his hair he began,"So did you enjoy the meal? What about you Nanami, was it good?" He absently handed the man a handful of ryo. Glancing up at the server he smiled,"Rests tip for ya."
