People are making their bloodline suggestions surprisingly limited and one-sided....
I've already seen one that can't use Genjutsu and most Ninjutsu,
and another that is limited to the 'Sensor' subclass...
It just seems like they are building a bloodline for a character, rather than for a full guild of diverse characters..
Like, "My character will be a _____ so I will make the bloodline specific to _____ and give it other benefits elsewhere for the limit"
That kind of thing...

Reading through the actual bloodlines, there aren't a whole lot that are really specific like that. Though there are a few.

Crafty; Personally, I'm glad to see someone that limit the options a bit more. I mean, so far, I think our only current bloodline that has any restrictions of any kind in terms of classes is the Hakemoto, and it's by far the most fun of them.

"by far the most fun" is subjective. I'm speaking objectively.
Like, okay. Let us say someone is planning on playing a character with one leg who is a taijutsu user.
Nobody else, of course, in the Guild is likely going to play a character like that.
So they make a bloodline based on being able to swing a punch with one leg.
Not only that, but the bloodline is limited to the "Taijutsu" class, and people with it MUST only have one leg.

The standard method is to pick a bloodline your character can work with,
Not make a bloodline that works so perfectly for your character that he is the sole effective user.
So now you have a handcrafted bloodline for the character, rather than a character crafted from the bloodline among other things.
This thought scares me, especially if the Vice Captain of the guild thinks that is reasonable. xd

I just like the idea of not having a character in mind when making a bloodline.

Now, Crafty, you're being completely ridiculous with that!

My general understanding is that a restriction is fine, in terms of classification, but, you can't be tellin' people they have to be this class and that subclass. No other options.

I don't condone bloodlines where they tell you you gotta be blind or something.

The way I see it, our dual class system opens it up to a more generalized way, to where we can specialize bloodlines in the taijutsu class. It just makes sense, because a clan generally follows the trend of "This is how we do things". So now, if you gotta pick genjutsu, you have other options awaiting the sub class.

Oh well yeah I know that ^^ It just made me wonder if mine looked that way.
But I dunno....if you don't have a character in mind, how can you hope to make a bloodline that works? Just my thoughts ._. like...I have an old man who realized the potential. I guess he would be a character but he's not a 'real' Oc.

Anyway, I'm gonna try to stay out of chat box for now. Gonna see if I can get one part of my bloodline done.

biggrin I'm excited to see what happens. I may not submit a bloodline at all...
I just have issues forming a "perfect idea". A Doujutsu that matches all those in the series in the way it performs.
-Special perspective of seeing things
-Abilities granted through that perspective
-Abilties granted through those abilities.

Sight -> Ability palette -> Ability palette
I drew up a chart when trying to think about it....

I'm a li'l beesh for making it "Canon". Something that is easily foreseeable in the manga, in the setting, and in the Anime.
