I usually prefer something a little more soothing, but if jabbress requests... *lifts his glass and takes a drink*

*pours a whiskey for Dougherty.* What is it with you Dougherty. Why the heck are you being so nice to me?

*turns back* Well, sure ... if you insist. *goes over by Psyzapp* I'll have a shot of whiskey. In fact, it's my drink of choice.

You can't explain it. *slams the shot of whiskey.* Let's get realistic here Dougherty. *pours herself another.* What is it that you want.

*Slightly angered, he slams back his whiskey, then looks directly into Psyzapp's eyes* Ya' know, I just don't know what it is that I want anymore! Sometimes we seem to hit it off with each other, and other times it's just all business! And if you want to get realistic about all this, it just doesn't make any sense for us to be together! So ... What is it that YOU want? mad

*she pauses and looks at him with pleading eyes* I want you………safe and away from harm. *She looks down at the bar.* I'm big trouble for you Dougherty. sweatdrop

*his eyes soften a bit as he looks at her* I know ... I'm afraid that will not always be possible though. Danger comes with the lifestyle I have chosen. My career deals with trying to keep everyone else safe. I may have to put myself in dangerous situations to protect those that I care for. Unfortunately, we come from different sides of the tracks, and this relationship, if there is to be one, will be chided by all. *looks down at his empty glass, then pours himself a shot of whiskey and slams it back*

No Dougherty…it's bigger than that. *slams another shot of whiskey.* You are the very first man I've ever been to dinner that has been nice to me without any strings. I'm not used to being treated that way and that's why I can't go through with this. You have no idea what I've done in my life Dougherty and I'm in so deep that there is no way out.
