"That...would be nice, yes." Daemon said giving her a pained smile. At the moment, all he could think about was when his instincts would take hold again. He could turn and throw Larai down on the bed right then and there.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Gently placing her hands upon his wounds, she took a deep breath once more and began to heal him as best as she could.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"To be honest....I never really liked these things...." Daemon said hanging his head slightly as he felt her soothing magic upon his back. "They just get in the way of things, and it's not like I really need to fly if I have my shadows....It worked to tame me before, I should be cutting them off again rather than having them healed."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"But that'll only suppress your urges for a few hundred years and make them worse, won't it?" Larai asked with no small bit of concern. It wasn't long before she finished, allowing her to offer him a careful hug from behind immediately afterwards. "It'd hurt too, wouldn't it?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Maybe so...but I suppose it just depends on how you look at it. A bit of intense pain every hundred years, or try to put me on some sort of morality diet for the rest of my life; which is worse?" Daemon said with a sad smile in spite of himself as he placed a hand on top of Larai's arms.

{Same here.}

"Both are terrible in their own right. It's why we should stop doing either, and take a third option." Larai replied, gently resting her forhead against the back of his (head). "Too much good brings bad, and too much bad brings worse. We need to find a medium that can keep you satisfied without tearing us or our livelihood apart."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"What if there is no third option though?" Daemon said turning his head to face her. "What if demons like me are just meant to be nothing more than lustful, bloodthirsty killers?"

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Daemon, you have the ability to think and feel for yourself beyond those two frames of thought. They might be instinct, impulse, but they don't have to be what define you completely." Larai replied, offering Daemon a reassuring smile. "Milly might be half-demon, but she should not be exempt from what compells most demons. However, you don't see her ravaging every other village she sees. You don't see her having sex with as many attractive people as she could either. Considering how grandmother supposedly wasn't that good of an influence on her anyway, it's surprising how she ended up as she did in that regard."

"As you pointed out, Milly's only half demon. And physically and mentally she's still a child. Of course she's not going to go on any rampages of sex and destruction." Daemon said.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Beforehand. You know what I meant." Larai said with a small frown. "I might not have said it properly, but the point is, you don't have to be if you don't want to be."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"If it was just a matter of 'not wanting to be' then those guards would still be alive." Daemon pointed out grimly.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Larai tried to think of something to say, but honestly couldn't. She sighed softly, feeling all sorts of useless right now. "Again, I said it'd take willpower." she finally replied, moving herself to sit in front of Daemon so she could offer him a light hug once more. "We'll....we'll figure something out that doesn't involve self-mutilation, okay?"

Daemon could only sigh and hug her tightly. "I'm just glad this is happening now rather than at some point where I was on my own. I probably wouldn't have been able to fight back without some reason to stay myself."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I'll always be here for you if you need me." Larai replied in a soothing manner, tightening her grip on him ever so slightly.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"...Let's get some sleep....We can keep figuring this out tomorrow...." Daemon said with a bit of a shaky sigh.
