The Machine [Open/Accepting]

"Ah. So who is the woman outside then?" Damien asked.

"Oh yes." The doctor said, flipping a few pages. "A parent of a student who's in surgery. The child will live, but he needs a skin transplant and eye surgery. We believe he will recover, but it will take about half a year."

That makes more sense Damien thought. At first he was thinking the woman was trying to get the twins. "I don't think the parents will be picking them up. In fact, I will be taking custody of the twins" Damien said.

"O-of course sir." The doctor replied with a slight bow. "Just one moment." He said, looking through some papers. "Ahh, here is the paperwork. You can read it if you like. We just need your signature at the bottom." He said before pushing a button so some of the nurses could help the twins into wheel chairs.

Damien looked the papers over, then took a pen from the doctor and began signing. "I believe everything is in order" he said, handing the file back with the pen.

"Y-yes sir." The doctor said, looking over the page before setting the paperwork aside. Two nurses came in with wheel chairs and helped the twins out of their beds into their chairs.

"Where to, sir?" One of the nurses asked.

"Hmm. They'll need a nice quiet place for recovery. I don't think they're quite in the shape for a helicopter ride, though. Are they?" Damien asked the doctor.

"Probably not if the ride is rough, I'm afraid." The doctor replied. "If it's only for a short distance, it might be ok. An hour maximum. No more."

"Hmm. I think I know where they can stay for the moment, if the person I'm thinking of doesn't mind" Damien said. He then took out his phone and called up Monica.

"That's a relief." The doctor replied as he took out his phone.

Monica pulled out her phone and gave a small sigh when she saw that Damien was calling her. She took the call and put the phone to her ear. "Hello?" She asked.

"Hello, Ms. Ravenstone. I know you're busy, but I do have a favour to ask, though first of all, how is the current assignment going?" Damien asked, not wanting to give too much away. He was in public at the moment.

"Everything is already underway. The men have been briefed and sent. I should be hearing back from them soon." Monica replied. "What is it that you'd like?"

"It seems that there has been a terrible accident and someone sabotaged the project of the twins. They're severely injured at the moment and require a place of rest. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind letting them stay with you for a little bit while I figure out where to have them stay and how to get them there. Also, this event is something else to be investigated. It wasn't a simple prank gone wrong. Other people have been seriously injured and some have even died. From, what I've been told, from the traces of chemicals found, whoever did this knew what was going to happen" Damien said.

"What?" She asked with alarm. "Yes sir. Of course." Monica stated. "I'll tell the steward that you'll be coming to drop them off. How badly are they injured? Will they be ok?"

"They'll recover" Damien said, turning to look at the twins. It was hard for him to look at them in this condition. "It will take some time, though. They're practically in fully body casts and will need wheelchairs to get around for a while. I've been told that if they weren't wearing the protective gear they were, it could have been worse. I'm at least glad for that. Anyway, thank you for accepting. We'll be on our way soon." The Absolute Leader hung up the phone, sighed, then turned to the twins. "Good news. Ms. Ravenstone has agreed to let you stay at her place for a little while" he said to them.
