The Machine [Open/Accepting]

"I see..." He replied. "I hope they get better soon. Take care of yourself." Jian told him.

"I will" Damien said, "I'll speak to you later." With that, the Absolute Leader hung up and sat back in the van, letting out a sigh.

The twins let out a small sigh as they traveled. They looked out the window at everything that was going on as they finally approached Monica's mansion.

Damien got out of the van and waited as the twins were loaded out, then headed for the manor, knocking on the large doors at the front of the place.

One of the butlers answered the door, looking at Damien and nodded. "Come in." He said, holding the door open so that the medics could help the twins in. "Good day, Absolute Leader and company. Would you like some tea for the duration of your stay?" He offered.

"Yes, that sounds rather nice" Damien said. He needed something to sooth his nerves after what was going on.

"I will have it prepared immediately." The butler nodded then turned to the children. "Are you hungry?" He asked. They both nodded.

"They'll have to be on a soft food diet for a day or two." The nurse told him.

"I see. We'll have some applesauce prepared then." The butler nodded then turned to the maid, who gave a small bow before going to give off the order. "This way." The butler said, leading them into the living room.

Damien walked along, occasionally taking a quick glance at the kids, but not too long. He didn't like being reminded of their condition each time he looked, but he wanted to make sure they were alright.

"How is the equipment running at your office?" Vincent asked.
"It's been a while since we've been by. Is everything still running ok?" Valkyrie nodded.

"Yes, everything has been going well" Damien said. He wasn't going to mention the attempted coup, though they most likely would have heard the announcement he made. The one he did to settle the population and solve a few questions.

"That's good." Vincent smiled.
"School's been boring." Valkyrie told him.
"Well, except for this..." Vincent muttered.
"Yeah..." Valkyrie agreed. "I told the teachers the substances didn't look right, but they assured us it was strait from a professional lab."
"I wouldn't think labs would be so sloppy with their dangerous chemicals." Vincent sighed.
"The ones in the engineering division weren't." Valkyrie shrugged.
"True." Vincent replied.

"Well, we're going to get to the bottom of what went wrong. You two just make sure you relax and recover" Damien said. Once they were in the room, he took a seat, letting the twins be wheeled up beside him.

"So um..." They muttered, looking between each other and Damien. They wanted to start another conversation, but they didn't know what to say. So instead, they looked at Damien with a slight frown, noticing that he felt uncomfortable looking at them when they were like that.

"Yes, what is it?" Damien asked, turning slightly, but still trying to avoid looking at their damaged bodies.

"Is there something wrong?" Vincent asked.
"Did we do something bad?" Valkyrie asked.
