An excited shriek would ring out as the tiny girl ran towards the giant kitty she'd seen earlier in her relative's office. Prancing herself over, she pointed at him and looked at the girl who was playing with a stick. "Hey Kitty Lady, can I pet your Kitty?" A happy smile was on her lips as she seemed to shiver with excitement at the chance to pet the feline creature. Even though it was much larger than herself, she still referred to it like it was a tiny kitten. Why? Because she could. It reminded her of the cats she'd seen around the village. White and orange stripes. Only this one was orange and black. Was it on some sort of special medication to make it super size?

After practicing those few spear techniques, Kinuyo sheathed her spear and smiled at Nobu. "Here, if you're so bored watch my Taijutsu practice. It's a little trick I have up my sleeve." Despite saying this, Nobu did not seem any more engaged than he did while she was practicing her Bukijutsu. He was always so hard to get a read on... But for now, she figured it wouldn't be worth worrying about him. Adjusting her stance, she prepared to attack the dummy with the Haraise. It was a technique developed by dog lovers, but it would do fine for a cat person such as Kinuyo.
[1/2]
Carefully, Kinuyo removed the armor and glove on her left arm. Especially for becoming a full on Shinobi, Kinu had sharpened her nails to a claw-like point. She could both weild her spear and use this beast-like combat form. Facing the dummy, Kinuyo stretched herself out, sinking onto all fours, as if like a beast herself. In a way, it was as if one were seeing her transform into a beast before their very eyes. But not a beast as those wolf users would, but more feline and noble. This seemed to catch the great lazy cat's attention, but only a little bit.
[2/2]
[Learned: Akuma Sutansu]

"Fine, you stupid cat. Watch this." From where she was, still in a beast-like pose, Kinuyo rushed towards the dummy. She quickly pivoted, darting to one side of the dummy and then another. Now, Nobu's head seemed to perk up. Though always remaining by her side, Kinuyo considered herself lucky that Nobu usually chose to sleep through her training sessions. It made her current progress seem all the more remarkable, though it was the result of a great amount of prior training.
[1/2]
Just as she neared the target, Kinuyo swung a claw-like hand at the dummy and tore through it, leaving sharp claw scratches in the training equipment. Nobu seemed at least slightly impressed. Nearing him, she slowed up and straightened up. Finding her glove once more, she applied it and put her hand on her hip. "See? That was good, right?" As if to spite her, Nobu yawned after this comment. Kinu could tell he was impressed earlier, and as such her expression of exasperation was just as light-hearted as the tiger's tease.

Just as Kinuyo was finishing her training, a shrill noise broke through her hearing. Nobu winced. The small girl from earlier came bounding over pointing at Nobu excitedly. She addressed Kinuyo as "Kitty Lady", a comment at which Kinu couldn't help feeling a tad offended. But more importantly, she asked to pet Nobu. At this point, Kinu didn't have a close enough bond with Nobu to ask him if he wanted her pet him. Before replying she shot the lazy tiger a questioning look. Like any cat when shot such a look, Nobu remained perfectly unreadable. "It depends on what mood he's in," she replied honestly. And honestly, she didn't know why she was replying in the first place. "If he's in a bad mood, no. If he's in a good mood, no. But right now he's sleepy so you can pet him." Sleepy? Was she talking like an idiot because this was a kid? A thought struck Kinuyo like an explosive. Maybe her being so gentle with the kid was some sort of maternal instinct. Kinu shuddered at the thought.

The girl giggled as she was told it was okay to touch the animal. The girl's silver colored hair bounced behind her as she pranced her way to the large cat. She listened to Kinu as she spoke about the animal's moods, but she really didn't care at the moment. Reaching her hand out, she glided her tiny, gentle hand across the animal's face just his lip flaps on the side of his face. Unbeknownst to the young child, most felines enjoy this being touched because of the scent glands on their face. It was also a reason they liked to rub their faces across objects. Ayume was just wanting to touch the animal, and the only place she could reach on its head without having to really reach was the side of his face. "He's so cute," the young girl said. "What's his name, Miss Kitty Lady?" It was odd, but yes, the child was far more concerned with the large feline's addressments than his partner. Shoot, the girl still didn't even know her own Kage, as well as relative, 's name. She still referred to him as Mr. Kage Man. Who knew when that would change at this point.

Surprisingly, as the little girl bounded over to Nobu, the tiger did not move or retaliate. As Kinuyo predicted, he was too tired to do so. But even more surprisingly, when the young girl started petting Nobu, he didn't seem to mind. Kinuyo looked intently at the tiger as the child's hand rubbed his face, and his eyes closed in enjoyment. He really looked like a giant kitty. For a moment after the girl proposed her question, Kinu was too surprised to respond. She blinked a few times before realizing that the girl was asking her a question. "Oh, his name is Nobu." Saying his name aloud, Kinuyo suddenly remembered when she first gave him his name. For the longest time, she hadn't called him anything. He was just the sort of presence that was, wasn't called anything. But after knowing him for a few years, Kinuyo decided to give him something to be called. Nobu. One of its meanings is "faith", and Kinu thought it a fitting name for one as faithful as Nobu. Or it could mean "to prolong", which didn't make as much sense. Since she gave him this name, she only really called him it in private or in her thoughts, and in her recollection no one else knew her name. No one seemed to care what his name was.

As she was finished petting the creature, she plopped herself down next to him and began to run her hand along his large paw.The girl began to hum to herself for a second before looking up at the girl who spoke the animal's name. "Nobu huh? Hello, Nobu, I'm Ayume! Wanna be friends?" She smiled to the creature before giggling and standing up. "We can be friends too. Right, Miss Kitty Lady?" The child seemed innocent, no real meaning for talking to her and her partner other than just feeling like it. At the age of six, she was unaware of hidden agendas or false meanings. She said what she meant and cried when she didn't get what she wanted. Just a regular child who happened to take an extremely early start in the Shinobi world. It rang in the child's mind that she had a few C rank missions to do. Giggling, she ran up and tugged on the girl's hand to make sure she had her attention. "Wanna do a mission with me?!" she cried out loud, a big toothy grin on her otherwise adorable face.

Friends...? The word rang in Kinu's head. She was fairly certain that neither she nor Nobu were really the "friend" type. Particularly Nobu. The two of them shared a bond developed over ten years that could be considered friendship, but he always seemed so detached from everyone else. Growled at other villagers, lurked, everything with an intention of keeping people away. It donned upon Kinuyo, briefly, that Nobu might have a weakness for little girls--a hole in his cool exterior. Kinu had been around this girl's age when Nobu saved her. Or maybe Nobu took a liking to children in general as if they were his kittens or something. This child was strange, and Kinuyo didn't know what to think of her. Nobu, looking quite relaxed, seemed at that moment as though he would be friends with anyone who petted him and/or gave him food. "Sure..." Kinu replied to the "friend" question. Even if she was only a child, Kinu took a mental note to not let her guard down. Just as this thought flew through her head, the girl began tugging on Kinuyo's hand. "Okay, I'll do a mission with you." She replied in a flat tone--or at least a flat tone compared to the child's over zealous inquiry.

"Heehee, okay, we'll start you off with something simple okay?" The young girl closed a single eye while her tongue stuck out from her lips. She was well versed in missions by now, having completed a tad over a dozen by her lonesome. "Come on, let's go check out what they have for us!" Slipping her hand in the young woman's hand, she would then attempt to lead her back towards the Hokage's Office where the Mission Board stood. There was a lot that Kinu had to learn, and one, was not to under estimate the young girl because of her age as everyone else seemed to do. It wasn't that she was a bad child, but that she seemed to have a knowledge about simplistic things that most people didn't come to realize until puberty age. Then again, there was no telling what was going on inside her mind. To anyone who looked at her, she seemed the type to think about nothing but imaginary animals and sparkling pretty things. Which she was, but that was a completely different thing all together.

Before Kinuyo started to move, Nobu got up. He stretched his front legs first, then his back, in what was quite a display for a great tiger such as himself. Working with this child was less than desirable, especially since right now Kinuyo was still getting adjusted to life as a Shinobi. Surely she would have more time later to really train... she glanced at Nobu, whose expression was still unreadable. Kinu figured that he liked being petted, but wasn't welcome to Kinuyo seeming so reliant on one who is less than half her age. But it wasn't as if she needed Ayume to do her mission. No, Kinu knew that she was perfectly capable of acting on her own. Still, she followed overzealous Ayume with Nobu following leisurely behind.

Ayume was quickly growing bored of having nobody to play with. There had to be something she could do in order to keep herself occupied. Tapping her finger against her lips, she entered the dojo to find the previous person she shared the space with. Good, he was still there. One of the missions she had to finish was evaluation of Genin. She herself was a Genin, for now, but she was pretty well versed in missions and she'd just had her first spar, so there was that to add to her repertoire of accomplishments. Leaning against one of the walls of the dojo, she watched the boy with white in his hair and marks on his face. She never met the boy before, but this was the first time she ever gave him any of her attention so she may have passed by him at one point or another and not remember. He seemed to be practing elemental Jutsu along with some others. Just watching him was beginning to tug on her need for excitement again. Perhaps she could go and mess with her Nurse-Maid Miss Nora again. Nah, she was getting boring. Maybe she could ditch her once she became Chuunin. Sighing, Ayume figured she'd seen enough and began to head back to the Hokage's office to see if there was any other interesting missions to do.

After swinging by her place, Jess slowly making her way into the dojo, it was really the first time that she had ever been in here. Sure they visited a few times back in the academy, but it wasn't really much to know where to go and all that. Getting through the front door, Jess made her way up to the front desk. Telling the lady what she was looking to do, she was willing to help Jess out. Giving her scrolls that outlined the moves that she could learn at her current level and pointed Jess in the right direction. Getting to a nice quite location, she set her gear down and pulled out one of the bukijutsu style scrolls that she wanted to work on first. Taking a seat, she would start looking over it.

After a quick little break and reading over the scroll, Jess was ready to move onto the next set of moves on the list. The next moves actually allowed her to move onto stage two of this style and that would be pretty cool. The first move called for her to drop her blade and then kick it to sent it flying at her opponent. Since Jess hadn't done anything like this before, it would be interesting to see how it went. At first, Jess sheathed her sword, so that if she missed or it got kicked weird, she wouldn't cut herself or damage the blade. Well since there wasn't much to the move, Jess would just try it out. Holding the blade out in front of her, she dropped it, and tried to kick. Next thing she heard was a cling and the blade dropping on the floor. She ended up totally missing it. Picking it up, she would try again.
[1/2]

With sword in hand, she would try again. Taking in a small breath, she dropped the sword. Pushing her foot off the ground, she went to kick it. With this second attempt, she was able to hit the sword, but it was a pretty bad hit. The sword didn't go very far and since she was kicking with her right foot, it flew to the left. Making her way over to grab her sword, she picked it up and moved back to where she was. Ready to try again, she dropped the sword once more and went to kick it. This time, it was more successful as the weapon flew through the air. Hitting a wooden dummy, the sword fell to the ground. Jess went and grabbed the sword. Going back, she did it a few more times. Feeling good for now, she would move on.
[2/2 Last Minute Rain Learned!]

The next move that Jess wanted to work on required her to have someone to help her out. Looking around, she didn't see anyone just yet, so that meant she would need to find someone. Heading down a hallway, it wsn't that long before she ran into someone that worked at the dojo. Shifting her weight a little bit, she asked them if they could help her out. Agreeing to help her, Jess told them what she needed them to do. She had to synchronize her breathing with theirs and use that to tell when he was going to move to attack. Of course, she would train on just the moving part rather then attacking. As the two stood there breathing, Jess tried to get her breathing in synch with the person that was helping. When she thought that they were a match, she told him to move. When he did, she tried to move with him to show that she knew what he was going to do. However, it didn't work out like Jess wanted it to.
[1/2]

Telling him to reset himself, Jess wasn't going to give up after a first time failure. Instead, she would try to do it until she got. Syncing up her breathing with the man's again, Jess was ready to try for a second time. Giving the man the cue to move, she would try to follow. This time, she kind of got it. At first, she thought he was going to go one way but then watching him, she was able to get a rough idea of where he was going to go. Getting him to line up one more time, Jess was ready to finish this. Taking her time, she got synced up again. Giving the single cue, the man would move to the left. Jess would follow almost like the guy was staring into a mirror. With everything finished she thanked the man and would take a break before moving onto the next moves that she wanted to work on.

Jess had missed out on mission that was done, but that was okay. She felt that she still needed to take some time to train before really doing much. Ready to move on to her next move, she would leave the weapon sheathed. It called for her to swing the blade diagonally, drop the blade, and then catch it. Shifting her weight a little bit, she pulled the sheath and sword off her waist. Holding the blade, she would get ready to try the move.
[1/3]

Ready to give it a try for the first time, Jessica held the blade down to her side. Bring the blade up in a diagonal slash, she dropped the blade half way through the swing. Attempting to catch it, she missed the first time around. The blade dropped to the ground and she sighed a little bit. Picking it back up, she would try again. This time though, she would try to focus a little more on where the blade was falling and not so much on what else was going on. Readying the sword again, she was ready to go.
[2/3]

Ready to try a second time, Jess took a few deep breathes. Tightening her grip on the weapon, she started to swing the blade up. Letting go of the blade, she let it go and reached out with her other hand to grab it. Grabbing onto the hilt of her blade, she swung up in the opposite direction. Seeing that she did the move, she would practice it a few more times to feel good about it.
[3/3 Summer Rain Learned!]

Feeling good about the last move, Jess was ready to move on. Shifting her weight a little bit, the next move called for her to make a shield out of chakra. Since there was no trying to catch the sword, Jess unsheathed it and placed the sheath on the ground. She would have to start with holding the sword in a reverse position. From there, he would need to start gathering chakra.
[1/4]

Breathing slowly for a little bit, she would start to gather her chakra up. She wasn't super sure how much chakra she would need, but that was what practice was for. As Jess stood there, she continued to take deep breathes. As she did, she could feel her chakra start to collect. Giving it a little bit longer, she was ready to give the move a try.
[2/4]

After a few more seconds of gathering chakra, Jess was ready to give it a try. Sending the chakra into blade, she would start to spin it around. As the sword spun, it started to glow. A few more seconds passed and the chakra started to manifest infront of her. However, a few more seconds later, it would start to fade. Trying to keep it going, it didn't seem to work. Watching it fade all the way, she stopped spinning the blade. Looks like she would need to try again. With this failure, she started gathering up her chakra again.
[3/4]

After a little bit of time, Jess felt that she was ready to try again. Breathing in a little bit, she nodded to herself. Once again she would transfer over her chakra to her blade. After a few more seconds, she started to spin her sword around. As the sword spun, it started to glow. Shortly after, a shield made out of chakra started to appear. The shield stabilized after a few more seconds. Giving off a smile, Jess was happy to see that it worked. She was ready to move on with the next thing.
[4/4 Splashing Rain Learned!]

Pulling out the scroll, she would look over it again. By this point, she needed to check out what was coming next. Shifting her weight a little bit, she bounced back and forth slightly looking over the scroll. After reading it a little bit, it looked like the next move allowed her to increase her total chakra amount. That sounded pretty good to her. Putting the scroll away, she was ready to get started. Taking in a few deep breathes, she started to gather her chakra.
[1/4]

After a few seconds of gathering chakra, she would start to move the chakra to her hand. Holding her hand out, she would expel the chakra out of her hand. She started to gather chakra again, and would repeat the process again. After a few more times, she would start to feel good about her control. If anything she knew she could send chakra to her left hand. Jess would try her right hand now.
[2/4]

Ready to try her right hand, Jess started to gather chakra up. After a few seconds of gathering it, she was ready to try this a second time. Taking in a few breathes, she started to move the chakar into her right arm. Holding up her right hand, she would force the chakra out. Taking a few breathes, she started to gather chakra up again. Sending it back down her arm, she would force it out of her hand again. Feeling good about it, she would move on.
[3/4]

Taking in a few breathes again, she started to gather chakra. Jess proceeded to push the chakra down into her left leg. After a few seconds of it traveling, the chakra was pushed out through her left foot. Smiling a little bit, she would gather chakra again. This time, she focused on her right leg and right foot. With blasting out the chakra, Jess stood there smiling. Feeling good about this, she felt pretty good. Popping down for a second, she would take a little break.

After a little bit of a break, Jess was ready to move on with something else. She had heard that there was a way to increase her chakra and was able to barrow a scroll about it. Looking over the scroll, she felt she knew what to do pretty good. The first part of the training that she would work on was hand seal forming. She slowly start to run through them thinking about the different seals.
[1/5]

After a little bit of time, she ran through all of them. Taking a small breath, she would start to run through them again. Once again, they were all completed. After feeling like she got them down pretty good, she would close her eyes. Once again, she ran through them again but kept her eyes closed to see if she could do them without seeing her hands. After she was done, she would work on her chakra some.
[2/5]

Sitting down, Jess folded her legs. Taking in a small breath, she started to gather he chakra up into her chest. After gathering it up, she would start to get it to move through her body. Moving up and over a little bit, she would run it down her left arm. A few seconds later, it started to move over into her right arm. Bring it back up, she would let it settle in her chest again.
[3/5]

Making sure to keep her breathing steady, Jess would work on moving her chakra again. This time, she would send it down into her left leg. Pulling it back up, she would now send it down into her right leg. Smiling to herself a little bit, she sent it back into her chest to let it settle down.
[4/5]

With the chakra sitting in her chest, she started to stand up slowly. Her goal here was to see if she could move while keeping the chakra in her chest. Standing up, she felt it shake a little bit, but she was able to keep it held. Still keeping her breathing under control she let the chakra break apart and flow freely once again.
[5/5 Basic Chakra Training: Meditate]

She felt good but was still wanting to take it a little further. Keeping her breathing calm, she would start to run through hand seals again. This time, like the last, she had her eyes closed. She would make a few mistakes, so she started to run through them one more time. Feeling good about knowing the seals, she started to work on her speed.
[1/5]

Running through the seals again, she made sure to go a little faster this time. Feeling that she was a little sloppy, she started again. This quick run through time went a little smoother. Taking a little more time to run through it again, she started making hand seals. This time seemed to be her quickest and there was no mistakes that were made.
[2/5]

With the hand seals being good and out of the way, Jess would focus a little more on chakra control. Taking a few deep breathes, she started to gather chakra once again. Feeling the chakra system flowing through her body, she could tell when it was collecting in her chest. With a good amount of chakra set, she was ready to move on.
[3/5]

Pulling the chakra that was in her chest, she would send it to her left arm. From there, it moved down her arm and into hand. Taking the little extra time, she let the chakra flow into her fingers. From there, Jess pulled it back up her arm and into her chest. Sending it over, she would let it flow down into her other arm and into her fingers like before.
[4/5]

Pulling the chakra back, she would try something a little different this time. She would try to split the ball of chakra into four different parts. Taking a deep breath, she started to split the chakra that was in her chest. After a few seconds, she felt it split apart. Focusing on the chakra, she would start to sent it to each of her arms and legs. Feeling good about the training, she felt like she had more control over her chakra. Smiling a little, she continued to sit there.
