As the child went, although it was hard to tell the difference past the rain, the buildings steadily became disheveled, some even collapsed in on themselves, revealing the part of the district that had been damaged but perhaps the funding or resources hadn't been available to fix it up, thanks to the lack of access to Takumi's shops. Lights occasionally show through glass-less windows, alerting the presence of life, but the streets were dark and lifeless. The child didn't even seem to notice the presence of Hatsu behind them, and their pace slowed down a bit as they wore out. There was no way the kid was trained as a shinobi. Glancing around briefly, they took a turn down another street and kept going.
Eventually, the child slowed to a stop outside of a building and, looking around once again, pulled open the door and stepped inside. The wooden door closed heavily behind them.

It seemed while Toso was curious as to whether or not a family member of the mountain lion was within the vicinity or not he began to de-snake his arm. This would lead to the final snappings of his ink and the mountain lion's freedom. The lion was calmed now for the most part. Toso would then escort it beneath the extending roof of a small establishment, or rather the lion instinctively followed him seeing no reason to get violent. It's parental rage had been quelled, for even animals can have their moments of weakness. Toso would sit with legs crossed the mountain lion curling into a large ball in his lap. It was almost comical to see the sheer size comparison.

He spoke the secret of his silence casually with laughter, Toso however, wouldn't expose Miko's results in regards to his test. If she asked he'd just give her a smile and nod mysteriously in a crooked direction. Toso in turn would continue an almost evil genius type petting of the mountain lion. "Many predators are misunderstood. The giant squid only attacks ships when it feels cornered, the great white shark doesn't eat out of hatred, anger, or need but because it's simply what it knows. I'm not fond of animals per say, I am fond of how they act. Despite being another species entirely they can be so like us humans." Toso's arm would grow tired now. "I apologize." He'd have to retract it back to his side thus leaving Miko exposed to the heaviness of the rain. Well, she'd have to traverse through it anyway if she were leaving.
"I'll remain here yes? Bloop." Toso would tend to the mountain Lion's slumber. Now it would reveal the docility of it's species. Perhaps it was the rain or the fact that the mission seemed on the verge of success but Toso was rather pleased despite the slowly fogging glasses. There wouldn't appear to be any issues if Miko trusted Toso to keep the mountain Lion tame that is. Toso would await in this location in wait of Miko to depart and return with the cub. "Oh. Bloop. Get a good look. If they look nothing alike better not chance it. After all I'm not too sure of this species but some sea animals tend to cull their weak."

The child entering the building, the feline Hatsu would walk up to the door, mewing and pawing at it. Should someone open the door, she would hop back, so as to not get hit with the door. The clone on the other hand would exit the western side of the area, and enter the eastern side. Forming a few handsigns, it would create a couple shadowless clones and the three clones would split off in search of the other two squad members. The two illusion clones went to the north and south sides of the eastern half of the district, and the shadow clone took the center.

Hatsu’s clone would reach Axel before he had a chance to go after the lead that he was given. The clone motioned for him to follow her somewhere, and he did. The clone lead Axel through the rain and buildings until the duo reached their destination. The young swordsman was unsure of what he would find, or even if he would be useful in this situation; the prospect of having to talk the kids into sense filled him with dread. He was there to slice people open, to fight, not to talk some kids out of shoplifting! There was a positive though, he could, hopefully, scare the kids straight, which would make it a little bit interesting for him at the very least.

Shed notice a clone of Hatsu would fetch Axel and would follow along, seeing as a clone would've found her team mate she would move along and follow them throught the rooftops too. Silence replied to the cat scratching at the door at first, but after a moment, there was the quiet sound of breathing from under the door as someone peered underneath. It only stayed for a moment, and was followed by a hushed hiss of a boy's voice. "It's just a cat..." Hatsu would likely jump as the door was kicked, in an effort to scare the cat off, and light footsteps walked away from the door.
[If you prefer, you guys can end it here, since you've found their base, and report it to the secretary for ANBU to handle.]
The door moved slightly and Hatsu hoppedback on all fours just as she heard splashes from the direction she had come. Looking back, she would find her squad following her clone to the building. Meeting them halfway, Hatsu would revert her transformation. Once everyone had caught up, and had a bit of time to catch their breath, she pointed behind her at the buidling the child had gone into. "Found it. From here we can either infiltrate the building and round them up, or we can leave it to the ANBU. I'll leave the choice to you two." Hatsu crossed her arms as she waited for an answer, the rain soaking her outfit and starting to become a nuisance.

Axel responded with a slight shrug. “I’m not going to waste my time chasing children around the building, or worse, the village. Let the ANBU take care of them if you ask me.” His voice showed he didn’t care much about the children, which in actuality he did not, but, not because he did not genuinely care, but because he understood that this would be tremendously boring, without any meaningful action, and there for a waste of his perfectly good time. “So I say no.” He turned his back on the two girls and began to walk away from both of them, but suddenly stopped for a moment. “Good job finding them Hatsu, if I would have been you, I would have gone in without waiting.” He complimented Hatsu, at least, it was meant to be a compliment, he was unsure how his squad leader would take his kind words, but however she did it was not his problem, at least not for now. The shirtless red head waved to the two girl as he walked away for good this time, unless one of them stopped him from leaving.

Rin would watch as Axel walked off from them. That somewhat dissapointed her, as she hoped he would be kind to the orphans which he clearly was not. Why be so proud? "Hatsu-san I would've appreciated helping you but because Axel is leaving...I guess he anbu can take care of it?" Shed tell her temporary leader with a sigh. She would look to Hatsu"Personally I would prefer helping the villagers they're unhappy with us...so it would be intelligent and in our best interest to help them out" shed say before letting her team leader decide the course of action. She would wait her orders and if she was to recieve anymore if she wasn't she would move along to try and do more missions.

✰ As Miko spoke she'd note Tosokurui's growing familiarity with the animal, which still didn't sit well with her. Yet she was trying to let this trust thing grow, so Miko wasn't going to escalate any issues by stressing her discomfort and possibly setting off the formally more riled up parent. Miko would follow them to the awning but would stay a fair distance from it's shelter as she wasn't about to try her hand at playing nice with the beast that just tried to swipe at her. As Toso came around to answering her question about his behavior he'd respond with a even more troubling prospect in her mind, "Try not to take this the wrong way Tengoku Miko, Bloop bloop bloop. Stepping back some from his words and folding her arms over her chest with a fairly puzzled face cocking her eyebrow and tilting her head as if she'd been trying to reason what the heck possessed the squid to say all that, but it came to her mind that, is he actually attracted to me. pinching the bridge of her nose and then sighing Miko would just let that thought settle in before moving on to complete the mission.
"A-alright, lets just stick a pin in that last bit, and I get what you're sayin but jus know I ain't really a animal person. So yeah, you stay here I pick up the cub and I'll be sure to make sure it ain't no mix up. I don't think mammals and sea life has the same habits. Though again like i said I ain't no animal person. Ight, just keep him chill." Turning bout and opting not to confront this turnout Miko wasn't actually quite sure of what to do with the news. It was something her mother made abundantly clear that it wasn't ever a bad thing to attract a man and hold his attention and there fore his thoughts with her femininity, but other than for the objective uses of this attention in a mission capacity. Miko more pragmatic mind kind of let the idea of someone with technically in her mind no use to seduce. Her current flirty behavior was more preset instinct than intentional. These thoughts ran through her mind as she'd step further away from Toso looking at him with now a returned blank expression and then running off to find footing on higher ground as she'd head towards the residence she'd sensed the animal she thought was the cub.
Miko would Find herself standing on the railing of the balcony to an apparent complex looking in through the screen doors shades. Stepping off the railing onto the balcony and taping on the glass. She'd be greeted by a older woman and what seemed like her grand children. Who were working on cutting up vegetables for dinner seemingly. "Uh, sorry to intrude, but I'm a genin on a mission from the Raikage. Here's my missive just so you know I'm on official business. You see there's an issue on the southern edge of the residential district involving an wild animal, and I've reason to believe you may be harboring that animals offspring. The Mountain lions of the area aren't very likely to come into well populated ares, and I'm under the suspicion the animal only came to this area in search of it's cub. Do you mind If I have a look around?" Miko's words seemed to bring about only a idle nodding of the old woman's head and a look of blank concern, but vague loose for any through depth in understanding what she was saying. One of the grandchildren came over ad took the old woman's hand as she'd turn to the child who'd whisper in her ear before her eyes would fill with the light of some life before she'd answer Miko's inquiry. "Oh, sorry. My granddaughter tells me you might be looking for Prince Scallion. We named him that because of how much he loves green onions. Yo~u see we found him hurt of the mountain side one day and my grandchildren just saw him as a defenseless kitten. I've a background as a vet so I helped them nurse him back to health. I'm sorry if it caused any trouble, but I'm sure they'll understand he has to go back home given the circumstances."
Just then the front door would open and with a pet carrier the granddaughter would run out of the apartment. Miko would excuse herself before giving chase and run after the little girl dropping straight down a stair well and landing on the bottom railing cutting off the girl and wagging her finger at her. "Sorry about all that, but we've gotta send the little prince back to his father, but before that. Lets just make sure he's the one I'm looking for." taking the carrier Miko would look at the kitten and he definitely seemed like he could be the lions cub, but honestly she wasn't any kind of expert. sighing under her breath out of sight from the girl she'd just take the kitten and would reassure the girl he'd be better off with his father and mother. She didn't spend too much time on the conversation before cutting out of there and heading back to Tosokurui. But she didn't come back down onto the ground. She'd planned on using the kitten to lead the father out of the village. From a roof top Miko would call out to Toso, "Oi! you get biggin to follow me and I'll let the kitten go outside the village so they can head back down on their own, kay?!"

In the time Miko was gone Toso spent most his time stroking the animal in his presence. After a course few minutes this smile became a grimace. The rain did not let up, and then suddenly it stopped. From the sky white flecks began to take their place. Snow? This weather seemed borderline unnatural. In addition there was no sign of breakage in the clouds. No indicators of letting up. In fact it seemed rather than the wind blowing the clouds more were simply taking their place. The cold was tolerable for his clan but unlike his family his tolerance wasn't as significant. More importantly the increased cold brought crippling natural boundaries with it when it came to his jutsu.
Toso's announcement about his silence correlating with determining Miko's wedding credentials was actually only half full. Of course this secret would remain with Toso. Attraction was a strange thing there are multiple things certain individuals are attracted to, body, personality, intelligence in Toso's case what he was attracted to would remain an enigma. The Lion would soon awaken most likely based on the scent or cries of it's kin. It's massive girth now leaving the premises of Toso and looking upward.
It was no surprise to him that Miko didn't take long in locating the apparent child. "A hasty return I see." The mountain Lion's reaction only proved to serve a point. As Miko would dangle the cub child to attract the father and lead it outward Toso's glasses reflected a momentary glint. Toso didn't voice any opposition. Rather he would instead follow Miko as her strategy was working, despite the air of paranoia she consistently emitted. The tag team would lead the Lion until it would reach the final destination. Whether Miko was feeling the affects of the cold or not via her choice of dress was to be determined. Seeing as Toso was strangely as if a hermit grab taking refuge inside an empty trash can. His glasses poking out. Whence Miko would finalize the escort of the cub would signal the completion of their mission as the paranoid father who was once rife with rage would be cooled by both the weather and the safety of his child.

✰ It suddenly seemed to shift from a cool rain akin to a fall shower to that of weather phasing over to a blizzard. The clouds didn't seem to shift or anything but the sudden climate change made Miko curious to the fact that the climate wouldn't usually shift like this so suddenly. Yet then again Kumogakure was a village in the mountains with the most fierce winds int he world. Though it seemed odd Miko wouldn't pay too much attention to it while she still had her mission to complete. A possible issue she could come to regret later. Reaching the edge of the village Miko would set down onto the ground with the cub and leap away quickly so the parent and child could escape into the wild to their own shelter from this storm. Staying to watch and make sure the pair left Miko would look to Tosokurui and would point towards the Raikage's tower before heading towards it. the cold did bother Miko but she wasn't really in a position to complain. The better use of her time would be making indoors before the weather became too bad for her to deal with. Yet still this kind of sudden weather change without any warning and the way the cub seemed a bit upset about the shift. Something was off, but Miko couldn't place her finger on it. Yet she was reminded of something that lingered in her memories.

Resolution: The user is more determined to get fine details from his sensory techniques, but in order to get this type of clarity the user's range of the technique is reduced by half. The user is able to discover type of technique that is about to be active (fuuin, genjutsu, ninjutsu, custom jutsu, complex tai and buki), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank. Additionally, the user can gain similar information about any chakra source in their sensory technique's range, including what bloodline the person possesses, and how large their chakra pool is.

Hatsu's clone poofed, as she obviously had no more of a need for it anymore. "I suppose we have to pass the baton to the ANBU now. I'll have to get on his case about that later." Hatsu looked annoyed, Axel's loose cannon behavior getting on her nerves. "The best thing we can do for people is make sure they have what they need. If orphans need food or shelter, we'd probably have to ask for permission anyways. It's better to let someone with a bit more power over the situation handle it." Hatsu turned towards the direction her new apartment was in, and started walking, speaking to Rin one last time as she left. "It was a pleasure working with you. I'll be turning in the mission report shortly, but I have something I need to take care of first so go on without me."
Hatsu walked off, the air getting more frigid as the rain turned to snow. Finally arriving at her apartment she would check in at the front desk to find out where she was staying, and then she would go up there to get changed. A clone was there, holding onto the room key and her new outfit. Dispelling the clone she would remove her current attire, and don the new gear. Making sure her clothing was all fitting correctly, she would leave the district, locking the door behind her.

Tsumetai [ Cold to the Touch ]: The skin of each Shinsetsu clan member is chilled; producing a refreshing, almost intoxicating aura. This aura does not stretch far from one's person, and only the Shinsetsu and those in direct contact with him/her can truly appreciate the feeling. Because of this attribute, humidity is a foreign concept to the Shinsetsu, and only the most extreme of heats will cause those within tsumetai's effect to break a sweat. Additionally, this consistent cold has weathered their skin and innards, providing an internal and external resistance to freezing temperatures. Although not exactly topical, it should be noted that thanks to their relaxing aura, the Shinsetsu are considered some of the most desirable lovers in the world. Rin would let out a sigh as Axel dashed of. She'd listen to what Hatus had to say and agreed "Indeed, it's a bit more prudent to leave it to the ANBU they seem like they could handle this a lot faster than we could" shed tell her temporary leader, observing her move. "Alright Hatsu-san, I'll go do that quickly, see you around" Shed say waving goodbye with a smile. Rin would eventually note she also had a new apartment shed yet to visit. She would head to where her new apartment was leaving her portrait within, stretching and enjoying the warmth before having to leave again, wrapping her bunny cloak around herself better, along with some warmer clothes before heading out again towards the Raikages office. The weather looked like it was taking a turn for the worse now she was glad she had her cloak and extra clothes. It looked like it wasn't going to be bad weather sooner rather than later.
Yet as soon as she considered exiting the weather would get worse, forcing her to stay inside. This was something she would have to wait out alone, and she was definitely not comfortable with it. Sure she could make ice, didn't mean she enjoyed being alone in a blizzard.

As Rin sat in the safety of her home, she would notice the howling wind suddenly die down, and it became eerily silent outside. The silence went on unhindered for about five or so minutes, before what sounded like a series of cries, muffled by the masses of snow, resounded across the district. It might not have been so horrid if it were the cry of an animal, but no, they were human wails and screams.
