What other foods are served at your family's Thanksgiving dinner? - Roast turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed peas, candied sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, warm rolls or bread, pumpkin pie with whipped cream! Yummy! Oh - some people also serve ham with their meal if they are having a large crowd.

19. What other "traditions" does your family have for Thanksgiving? - Buy special Thanksgiving china to use once a year. Or if we don't have the space or the money for a whole set of dinnerware, we buy some special salt & pepper shakers, a turkey platter, or a gravy boat, etc., and use that item only on Thanksgiving.
We plan a special craft project with the kids each year which will evolve with them as they get older: construction paper turkeys for young ones, dream catchers or jewelry for older ones, etc.
Every year right before we sit down to eat, we gather everybody together to take a family photo. Then we Imagine getting to watch our family evolve and change through the years. we love looking at these 10, 20, or 30 years from now. One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions!
We donate time or food to a homeless shelter every year, either on Thanksgiving itself. or the weekend after.
