Both Amy and Thistle's eyes widened when they heard Miro talk about others riding on unicorns a lot.

"Miro... wait, are you saying that in your land, there are a lot of unicorns around? Are there any that look like Thistle here? You know, with wings and everything."

Miro wouldn't say "a lot", per se. Paladins tend to be the only ones that can ride them and some of them don't want to because they think it's "kinda gay".

They don't run around a whole lot in the wild, but there are some 3nodding , not all of them have wings though. Miro has only seen one with wings and he tends to be a rare find... or maybe it's a she? confused

:: pulls out her stocking shaped backpack from the void behind her and digs in it, retrieving from it a cloak covered in white feathers ::

Amy felt her heart rise with hope when Miro said that even though they were rare, she had seen a unicorn with wings before. Amy wasn't sure she would ever find another creature like Thistle or find out her origins. This was the biggest break she had ever come across.

When Miro pulled out a cloak with white feathers on it and said it was actually made from the wings of the creature, Amy's eyes started to water just slightly.

Thistle went up to the cloak cautiously and then nuzzled it gently.

"Miro... how did you get wings from the creature? Did it give them to you and it just regenerated more wings?"

Miro was with a rogue guy that killed it and took its wings 3nodding Actually, Miro took its wings, the rogue guy just killed it. He killed it a bunch of times because he knew the secret of how to make it come out of hiding. It always comes back, though. 3nodding

Mages need the cloak for something or another so its been killed bunches of times. 3nodding
:: points to the small pink one cuddling her cloak ::
Could probably kill this one too and it'd keep coming back. They're like cockroaches or something. confused

Amy's hand flew to her mouth in horror at hearing Miro talk about a man killing such a beautiful creature. "What?! Who would want to... or who could possibly kill such a rare and magical creature?! I don't care if it kept coming back! That's just awful... You could have asked the creature to help you..."

When Miro pointed to Thistle and talked about killing her and having her come back, Amy quickly picked up Thistle and cuddled her close. "Miro... That's not something you should talk about around Thistle. They're not like cockroaches... They're magical creatures and very rare apparently. Killing anything is awful, let alone something so pure and magical..."

Amy stroked Thistle's mane soothingly and looked at Miro. She wasn't happy with the elf at all, but she had information that Amy needed. "How would one go about getting to your land and finding that creature?"

Clerics have a vow not to kill anything unless out of necessity 3nodding That's why clerics are vegetarian 3nodding

But Miro needed the cloak for traveling around certain places because there's not always someone there to cast a levitation spell. Being that he... she... it has been killed off so many times, Miro doesn't think he/she has helping the bipeds in mind. People have been killing it since before Miro was even born neutral Besides, dying isn't so bad. Well, the first time is horrible sweatdrop Miro cried a lot the first time she died crying But you kind of get used to it after a while.

Miro gets to Norrath through a portal in the form of a dragon statue clawing the globe. People here think it's just a piece of artwork ninja Miro doesn't know if it works for people who aren't from Norrath, though. Draa was able to go through and technically he isn't from Norrath, but maybe because he's so similar to Tes, it let him through. Miro would think more people would have realized it's a portal and not just a statue if it worked for just anyone, but maybe not that many people actually touch the statue? confused

Amy had trouble wrapping her mind around creatures in Miro's world dying and coming back to life several times. What she was most curious about was whether Thistle came from that land or not and if there were more like her in this realm.

"Miro, do you think that if I had another dark elf with me, it might transport Thistle and me to your home, to Norrath?"

It wouldn't hurt to try if you really want to go there so much. Just be sure to find one that's from Norrath 3nodding Dark elves come from all sorts of places, just like high elves and wood elves and suchnessnessness 3nodding

Miro doesn't know why you'd want to go there, though. There's big scary monsters running around everywhere that will eat you gonk Like this one time...

:: before she can continue, her supervisor from the pet spa spots her and asks if she's started her shift yet and why she isn't there right now ::

Amy groaned when Miro had to leave to start her shift. She thought about following her, but she didn't want to get Miro in trouble with her supervisor.

Amy looked down at Thistle in her arms and rubbed her head. "Well, sweetie, maybe we'll get to find where you come from after all. We need to talk with Kai and Kaori."

She set Thistle down on the ground. Thistle was abnormally quiet now and less energetic, but Amy could understand why. She was probably deep in thought and reeling from all that she had learned... well, what she could understand of it. Amy was shocked herself.

Amy carefully picked up the crystal sculpture that Sakura had given to her and walked back home with Thistle.

A few minutes later, Amy and Thistle arrived at AS. Amy walked with Thistle over to the inside pet area. She stayed there for a little bit and watched Thistle from the corner of the room to make sure she was okay.

Thistle went over to the puppy area and started to nuzzle the new puppies. It wasn't as good as seeing her friends, though. But the puppies were fun.

*even without Kits with them, nobody asked any questions when Gwee, Mwee, and Cecil flew into the pet spa and went up to the counter to get something to eat. Kits often sent them over by themselves when she was busy, anyway*

*squeaks loudly at the man behind the food counter until he puts a bowl of food in front of her*

*Cecil finds the turquoise hair of one of the spa employees very fascinating and floats there, staring at it until he hears food hitting a dish* Yum! surprised *zooms over to the counter, helping himself to Mwee's bowl*

gonk scream *squeaks angrily at Cecil and pushes him away*

*Gwee lands nearby when the employee puts a bowl down for him* Food for Cecil too? sweatdrop

Amy's eyes widened when she saw three creatures suddenly fly into the spa. Then, she grinned brightly when she saw that they were three of Kits' pets. She thought she'd let Thistle find this out on her own, though. Amy was happy that she was in a darker corner so that she could just watch and not interrupt the reunion. She'd make sure Thistle handled everything alright and then would go and hang out in the lounge for awhile.

Thistle hadn't seen the pets fly into the spa area. She had been playing with the puppies, and the puppies' yips and light nips were distracting. She did, however, hear some familiar voices as they came further into the spa and closer to Thistle's area.

Thistle looked up from the puppies, and when she saw three of her friends, her eyes widened, her tail flicked happily, and she yelled out loudly and happily.

"GWEE!! MWEE!! CEC!!" Thistle worked her way out of the group of puppies and started running full force toward her friends.  

[Kits Rose]

*gets bowled over as he's about to take his first bite* gonk Ah! Ow. Pony... horn? confused Thistle? surprised

*forgets about food and floats over to land on Thistle's back and ride her* Yay! mrgreen

*turns to look at the yelling pony and waves a paw, then goes back to her dish* emotion_omnomnom *doesn't want somebody stealing her food*

Thistle whinnied with happiness and ran a couple circles around each of her friends. All of her stress and worry from the events earlier that morning instantly washed away.

"Yay! Hi!! I miss you all! How you?"

Since Cecil was sitting on her back and she couldn't reach him, she went over to Gwee first, nuzzled the side of his face gently, and then went over to Mwee and did the same.

Woo! *holds tightly to Thistle's mane while he rides her* biggrin

*quickly nuzzles Thistle in greeting, then squeaks and points to her dish in explanation before going back to eating*

Hi Thistle. We are good. *looks at Mwee* She is hungry. sweatdrop You good too?
