((Sure. That wasn't really how it turned it out, but after it got rolled I kinda thought "You know, I think I actually want them to have legs...." XD ))

"He had his wings back when I went to see them, and he actually came close to tearing my face off." Kai said seriously. "He seemed fine, then I pushed him a little too far and then it turned into a brawl. He nearly killed me before he snapped back to reality. I will admit, Larai does seem to be helping him keep from becoming our arch nemesis again, but he is still having problems none the less."

{Oh! Oops. XD Though srsly, we should have them have legs but have snake-like instincts.}

That was probably the worst thing to say to Mala short of 'Daemon molested and murdered Larai'. She had a total blue screen of death moment, unable to speak for many moments.

((Oh totally. Half naga and perfect for a thief to be. Have to carry on the family business after all. biggrin ))
(And I'd think he would have already molested her by this point, seeing as how she's preggers. XD )

"Not again..." Van said with a frustrated sigh before snapping his fingers a few times in front of her face. "Oi, Mala? Mala, can you hear me?"

Mala remained there, frozen in her own depressingly negative thoughts. About five secconds later, of course, she hugged Van all the tighter and resisted the urge to cry.

Van sighed and returned the hug. "I think you should take Anise for a bit...." he said gently taking the baby from Mala's arms and handing her to Kai. "You know how sensitive babies are, you're going to make Anise cry...." he said returning the hug.

"I'm sorry." Mala muttured, hugging Van all the tighter. "I just...I just don't know what to do."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"It's alright; if he does snap, we can seal him up or something. Until then, it sounds like Larai has things under control." Van said soothingly.

"I..I hope your right." Mala muttured, sighing deeply. Well, her day was officially ruined.

((Oh yeah, did you know the Rapture was supposed to happen on May 21st? I'm surprised the Christian protestors didn't skip Fanime out of humiliation when nothing happened. XD ))

"But think about it, he really hasn't done anything, and he only got Larai pregnant because he had to." Van pointed out. "If he was doing anything to hurt Larai, I'm sure she would have come to us by now."

"You're right..." Mala still didn't like the thought of her daughter being romantically involved with anyone, though. "I hope...I hope she stays well."

"You know our Larai, I'm sure she will. Though we should probably start coming up with baby shower presents for our grandchild." Van said with a little smile in hopes of lightening her spirits.

{Yeah. Also, I've got to go to bed. Sorry; goodnight.}

"You're right." Mala chuckled softly, although she still seemed pretty down. Baby shower or no, Larai and Kai growing up was a terrible travesty to her.

((*head/desk to the point of concussion* My mom's bf has been watching the MTV movie awards next to me (out of sheer boredom I assure, none of us are fond of MTV programming) and Twilight won not one....not two...not three...but four awards for best male lead, best female lead, best kiss, and best movie of the year. WHAT IS WRONG WITH HUMANITY?!?!))

While he watched his parents have another lovey dovey scene, Kai debated about mentioning that Milly was now about five years old again.

{If it wouldn't give me a concussion, I would headdesk so hard right now.}

Milly had wandered off, heading back home to see how Daemon and Larai were doing. That, and she didn't want them gawking at her age.

"Daemon and Larai should be close enough that if he does totally revert, I'll know. If it does happen, we'll be right here to help her." Van said gently stroking her head to calm her.
