Nia Phoenix Nia Phoenix: 30 Droid: 140 The nail hit the scope and it exploded into pieces the prismatic shard cutting her face, thankfully she reacted quickly enough and ducked before the nail pierced her eye and the soft gray matter of her brain. She was not quick enough to avoid the blast and falling debris as it toppled atop her her. Using a tremendous Force push she sent the debris flying thru the air taking the brunt of the blaster fire though she was grazed in several places. Standing there, covered in concrete dust, blood trickling from several places, she lifted the debris with the Force and sent what had not been destroyed by the blaster bolts heading toward the droid Nia 30 Droid 85
The girl continued to focus her assault on the small building-like construction she had haphazardly built with the Force, determined to smash it and the trapped droid to bits. So determined, in fact, that she didn't even feel the needle sink into her neck until it was too late, the droid easily slipping out the back and around her. Her muscles tensed, her breath seized in her lungs, and her heart began to slow. A moment later, she collapsed in a heap on the floor.
Sitting in his control room, feet on the console, and a holovid story playing in front of his half sleeping eyes, the Jedi was awakened with a start at the sound of an unfamiliar tone from the console and fell out of his seat. Pulling himself up to the board, he found two indicators lit. Commonly enough, 'deceased'. He'd have to have her swept away to the infirmary and resuscitated... except this time, there was another light: 'irretrievable'. She was affected by an unknown chemical to which they had no known countermeasure. It would take weeks to discover a cure, and they had minutes to revive her. Kay immediately regretted trying to relevel the playing field, because for the first time, it seemed he had actually lost a student.
It was mere hours later, and the student lie in a simple, dignified Sith sarcophagus. The room that had held them had been untouched for years... at least, by organic hands. Kay spoke a few, brief words to the empty courtyard before the sarcophagus began to lower... and the droid's final deception was activated. The droid had found one weakness in her file, and had made two stops while she was indisposed of... One to retrieve its chemical, a powerful sedative that mimicks death, and once to the sarcophagus, which it rigged with the counter agent.
Inside the box, as the dirt began to fall, a small gaseous hiss released the medication that would save her, only to doom her. As life coursed through her body once more, the final clump of dirt settled on the surface above her. Nia Phoenix was alive once more... To live out the rest of her short life in some 30 square feet of space on six feet of earth and rock, enclosed in stone and trapped forever, watching as the walls seemed to slowly close in, gasping through the ever shrinking air supply.
