Hmmm.. Well, to his daughter and wife he was kind, gentle, and doting (on Rei at least).. A bit of a goofy man... But in Kiri he was fierce and feared.. He was a skilled Fūinjutsu user so I'm kinda thinking of making him an Uzumaki since that clan were renown for their Fūinjutsu skill/proficiency... (after having read more about the Uzumaki clan in the Naruto wiki...)
So, she'd be able to learn at least some Fūinjutsu... But she could not have the longevity the clan is also known for.. or she could have it as well... But then again, her dad could've survived possibly if he had been an Uzumaki with their longevity... or he could have only inherited their skill with Fūinjutsu and she could inherit both... and obviously she lacks the Uzumaki-famous red hair..
And yeah, the idea of getting different attacks based off what your own chakra elemental attributes are is a good one.

Well, i'm off ta bed... gotta be awake for around afternoon tomorrow as that is when my Chuunin exam-fight-thing will be... and I want to have Rei learn another Suiton and at least one Fuuton jutsu before her fight starts.... like the Wind shield technique...
