"I'm...I'm sorry. I should've never left." Larai muttured softly once the pain subsided, loosening her grip on Daemon slightly. "Had...had I known this would've happened, I would never have left. Or at least, I would've insisted upon finding a way of taking you with me."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"It's not your fault, we didn't know--we couldn't have known--that I would go that far off the deep end." Daemon said, still hugging her tightly. "I am so sorry, Larai....I am so, so sorry...." he repeated softly numerous times, though he still didn't fully know what he'd done, but he knew he wouldn't rub salt in the wounds by asking Larai.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"But...you hadn't done anything yet." Larai then pointed out, trying to calm him and get him to quit apologizing. "Milly caught on just in time, and thanks to her quick thinking and plotting, she got you close enough to me to take us home. She only pulled the torture stunt to prove that she would do what she must if pressed. We both planned...we both planned on you coming to your senses."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"But...what kind of self control do I have if I'm going to black out just by leaving your side? I love you, Larai, but I don't want you to be the only thing keeping me sane." Daemon said starting to look like he was ready to start crying out of guilt.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"We'll find a way. Maybe someone could delve into your soul and find out what's preventing your self-control, and with their help, we can eliminate it. Or at the very least, subdue it to the point to where it hardly influences your actions at all."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"What's there to figure out? I'm a demon trying to fight my instincts. I thought we figured that out already?"

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Well, we could figure out why now of all times they are resurfacing."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I think it's because I really hadn't sated the lust and bloodthirst of a demon in over a milennium, but then who knows, I guess..."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"If that is the case, what should I do, then?" Larai asked, not really sure how to stop or calm such urges then. She looked hopeless, confused, and more than a little scared for the future.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I don't know....But maybe there is someone out there that could dig around my soul and see what's up." Daemon said hugging her for the comfort, both for him and for her.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Maybe. For now, though, let's get some rest. Or at least relax for a bit." Larai muttured in reply, snuggeling close once more.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I wish we had known about this sooner, I nearly had a heart attack when I saw you collapse in the street like that." Daemon said nuzzling her slightly.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Well, we know now, and we can plan accordingly." Larai replied, having calmed down a considerable bit.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"And by 'plan' you mean 'never let me leave your side'?" Daemon said with a faint smile.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"That depends. If my company becomes too much to bear, I'll leave you alone - but I'll still be near enough to make sure this doesn't happen again."
