For some reason 'to' doesn't seem to fit in that sentence.

could be used to be an 'and' for anything.

yeah, well 'to' when used for a Japanese word is pronounced "toe" and means 'and' at least, it's been translated as such in anime...I guess 'soshite' would have worked too.

"To" is not pronounced "toe". o.o' The 'e' from the english word "toe" is too hard. I'm taking Japanese, planning to major in it. I would get shanked by my teacher if I pronounced it like that. XD
