*looks off to the side and strokes her long, non-existent beard as she thinks on it*

:: the line progresses a little faster at times due to people having come in groups that wanted to all go in at once, and the staff allowed it so long as it wasn't too large of groups. Others left the line completely, feeling there were other things they'd rather do with their night than stand in line. When the dancing zombie entertainment came out, Tes had to hold Mir back from trying to smite them all since they were just people in costume and not actually zombies sweatdrop One would think she would have realized that already emotion_facepalm

When the trio finally gets to the front of the line, the staff at the entrance ask if all three of them are going in, at which point Tes and Ry both look at Miro ::

gonk Miro doesn't like scary things crying

:: starts to step into the maze with his husband ::

:: hangs her head and pouts, dragging her feet as she follows the dark elves in :: crying

*the maze itself is very dark and only dimly lit to try to add to the scare factor of the whole thing, which is fine for most visitors, but takes a lot out of it for Tes and Ry sweatdrop All of the things that were intended to be hidden in shadow until the right moment were pretty clearly visible to them long before they got there. A few things still got Mir to jump though since her night vision wasn't quite as keen. She could tell something was there, but couldn't see what it was... which in a way made it more creepy gonk In the beginning she starts to cling to Tes' arm, but after a few death glares from Ryzan over it, she decided to just settle for his coat tails crying

A bit into it, one of the staff, dressed as a demon, jumps out at the group from around the corner. While Tes expected such things to likely be a part of the maze, the guy's costume of choice at first glance was a little too similar to Taus, causing him to grab the man's throat and draw his dagger as a knee-jerk reaction. Even after noticing some differences, he still doesn't ease up right away... instead scrutinizing him carefully. After all, Taus -is- a shapeshifter. * stare

eek B-Be cool man. gonk Be cool. gonk I-I didn't mean nothin' by it gonk It's just my job, bro gonk

*narrows his eyes a bit and keeps looking the man over, unsure of the extent of the doppelganger's abilities. Miro had told him when she first noticed the guy stalking her that he always had black hair, red eyes, and Draa's tattoos. This guy had the hair and eyes as well as a set of horns, but the horns were fake and it seemed the eyes were just contact lenses. They at least certainly didn't glow. Reluctantly he lets go and sheathes his dagger* stare

N-No problem, bro sweatdrop *rubs his neck and hurries off quickly in case the guy decides to change his mind about releasing him, making a mental note to radio the others in the maze and tell them not to mess with this group* sweatdrop
*smacks Tes on the arm at seeing how much he scared the pants off that poor guy*
Was that really necessary?
Had it been the right guy, it might have been...

Well, with Mir being pregnant he...
*looks behind him*

*elsewhere in the maze, a few twists and turns away from the dark elves....*

So much for that pathetic body guard of yours~ He really shouldn't have tried to ******** with me. twisted

*holds more tightly to the struggling Miro, one hand secured tightly over her mouth to keep her from either casting a spell or calling for help as he has her pinned against a tree*

It's just too bad it has to be here. I was so looking forward to taking my dear sweet time on you...

*leans in close, breathing in her ear as his hand wanders down to her thighs*

*as he moves his hand higher and higher, he notices the bloomers she's wearing under that poofy skirt of hers are wet confused emotion_eyebrow On top of that, it seems her breathing had changed a bit and she wasn't struggling as hard, but her body was very tensed. He initially shrugs it all off, intending to continue with his mission, but then it all suddenly processes*

Oh HELL NO!! scream You are NOT going into labor now!! scream

*Taus' sudden outburst alerts not only Tes and Ryzan, but the nearby staff as well. Someone from security gets there first. She sees the man there holding the pregnant woman, but thinks he's just trying to hold her up*

Don't worry, ma'am. 3nodding I can take you through the short cut to get you out of here. 3nodding
*she starts reaching out for the woman's hand to guide her to the exit, but the man smacks her arm away*

:: after being let go, she hobbles away the best she can without looking back crying She doesn't know where she's going, but anywhere is better than around the scary man crying Tears streaming down her face, she follows the wall, frequently having to stop to take some deep breaths so she can continue on. While going around a corner, Tes almost runs her right over, having been rushing all over the place trying to find her ::

Mir... are you alright?

:: bites her lip and shakes her head, holding her stomach ::
B... Baby... crying

s**t... stressed Ryzan!! scream
:: slings one of Mir's arms over his shoulder to help her walk, going in the direction he last knew Ry to be at before they split to look for Mir. Once they meet up, he starts trying to hand Mir off ::
You look out for her while I run home and get the car.

No gonk crying
:: clings to Tes, not letting him push her off onto Ryzan ::
Don't leave me crying

:: exchanges looks with his husband, who clearly didn't like that reaction from her, but now wasn't the time for that stressed He digs in his pocket and hands the keys off to him ::
Alright... I'll stay here and Ry will go get the car.

:: suddenly looks a bit sickly ::
M-Me? gonk Jhal, I have never driven off the parking lot gonk

You'll be fine stressed Just go scream

:: starts to run off, not feeling very good about any of this, but luckily is intercepted by staff who leads the whole group out and arranges a ride to the hospital for Miro, much to his relief :: sweatdrop

*while leaving her office, Kits suddenly stops, a smile crossing her face. She'd finally thought of a way that she might be able to get back at Karrie, since it hadn't worked out last week at IR. cat_twisted Now, she just had to find out what time he was working tomorrow. cat_ninja She hurries out, planning to stop to talk to Velcore on her way home, since Gwee and Smok were there with him anyway. Her plan was a bit childish, but that didn't matter*

*As more staff arrives to the scene, the security woman is informed that the elves have been found and escorted out of the maze. Taus is still on the ground in convulsions, which further worries security. None of them really have much experience in tasing people, but it doesn't seem this kind of reaction would be typical. The woman who tased him starts to call for an ambulance while another goes to see if there is anyone there with medical training to lend assistance while they wait on the ambulance.

She turns her back on the man for a moment to shout out at the other security guard that he should also try to find something that they can safely move him out of the maze with, and when she looks back toward him to see how he's doing, he's gone eek

The staff closes off the maze for a while and does a thorough search for him, but he's never found*  

[Chef_Karrie]

*walking into Aqua Springs with Velcore, asks around to find out where Kits is. Most of the people have just arrived and didn't know where she was, but he finally finds somebody in the lounge who says she went out to the gardens a few hours earlier. They hadn't seen her since then* Well, that gives me a place to start, at least.

*walks over to the gardens, Velcore lagging slightly behind him. After walking through most of them, he realizes that she would probably be in the secret garden, since that was her favorite area. He finds the door and tries the handle, finding it's locked*

*Kits' ears twitch when she hears the door rattling, but she doesn't move*

Kits? *hearing no answer, starts to turn away*

She is probably there. She may not know who it is. I will check. *climbs up the wall, looking over. He sees her laying on her side on a bench* Kits! biggrin Oh. She is asleep.

Asleep? rolleyes Velcore, can you give me a lift over the wall?

*nods and climbs down* All right. *moves out to the middle of the section they're in to give himself room and waits for Karrie to climb on his back, then flies over the wall, hitting one of the other benches that he didn't realize was there before making a not so graceful landing on the ground* Sorry.

*slides off Velcore's back, a little shaky* It's okay, we're down now. sweatdrop *goes up to Kits and shakes her shoulder gently* Kits?

*groans and swats Karrie's hand away*

Kits, wake up. *shakes her again*

Go 'way. *puts the arm she's not laying on over her eyes*

*sighs* Kits! Wake up! You can't sleep out here, it's too cold.

*glares out at Karrie* cat_stare *after a moment, she sits up* I'm fine.

*sits next to her* You're not dressed to be out here like this. Your arms are cold already. *touches her hand* And your hands are freezing! *takes them both in his. When she doesn't say anything, he pulls her up* Come on, we're going inside to get you something warm to drink.

*doesn't resist, even when he reaches into her pocket to get the key so he can lock the door behind them. She didn't want to admit it, but now that she was waking up, she was cold* cat_sweatdrop

*guides Kits into the lounge and takes her to a seat near the fireplace, going up to the bar to get something warm for her*

*wishes she had a blanket now* cat_sweatdrop So, Velcore, what are you two here for? *rubs her arms a bit*

I do not know. *puts his head on Kits' lap* Karrie said he wanted to come see you. *closes his eyes when she starts scratching him* whee

*comes back to Kits, balancing two mugs and a plate* I got you some hot cocoa and peanut butter cookies. They probably won't be as good as yours, but she said they just came out of the oven, so they're still warm. *grins, putting everything on the table between Kits' chair and the next one, which he takes*

*grabs a cookie and takes a bite* These are always best when they're still warm. ^_^ *passes another cookie to Velcore*

*they sit and eat for a few minutes in silence before Kits speaks up* So... I asked Velcore, but he didn't know. Why are you here? You don't usually come here without a reason anymore. cat_confused
