The motherly hand ruffled her hair was enough to make Kirumi feel slightly better about Yasu's departure. She leaned her head into the chocolate skinned woman's hand, the Yamanaka thankful to have such a courageous and wonderful woman for a team leader. She inquired about her training, causing the female to furrow her brows in disappointment. "O-Okay, I guess. I've been practicing some eisenjutsu, but not my Yamanaka techniques...I'm sorry. I know I'm the worst person in Ninhongo..." The blonde whined, hoping that Choumei would not be too offended by her lack of skill present in her squad. The two paid for their meal and then quickly made their way towards wherever. Honestly, Kirumi was just following her idol to wherever she was heading, which judging by the route and scenery, seemed to be somewhere close to the school. It looked like Choumei was serious when she said that she was going to size up Kirumi and power her up while Yasu was off doing whatever. She wondered what she saw in her, not getting why she was held so high in the leader's mind. She was strong or skilled with jutsu, with no affinity for any kind of technique. Why was she so important? While in the middle of questioning herself, CHoumei asked her a question about if she thought that she was strong. "N-No. I'm the weakest Genin of Konoha. I don't know why you keep me around to be honest."

Kisuke landed with a thud outside the ramen shop, he didn't think he touched the ground the entire way here. He was really hungry and glad he was able to skip the mess of squads. He took his usual seat in the corner near the exit. He ordered a bowl of ramen and some meat for Fang. He waited silently as his order was prepared.
Amber orbs stared up at a illuminated sunlit sign that hung above the entrance to this building which was called by something easily forgettable. "Nnneh? Ramen? I thought those brats said this place was BBQ.. Tch.. I'm already here so I may as well see if they have any thick beef cuts inside.." Shoveling his hands into the pockets to his pants an unamused sigh escaped past the male's lips as he strode forward and slipped past a man that was just leaving with a cloud nine smile on his face.
Once inside the building, the music finally hit him as it was now much louder than the small little vibrations it was making outside and from his first glance it was rather obvious that this place was apparently popular. While glancing around Raichi would causally observe his surroundings and give them a simple once over to get a generic feel for the place and what kind of environment he had walked into. A woman wearing a something short of a bikini came up to him with a tray in hand and asked if he would like anything to which he responded asking for a menu and their best herbal tea.
The waitress gave him an overly flirtatious smile as she turned around and went to gather what he asked for and he decided instead of standing around and waiting on her he would much rather take a load off and enjoy the sights, which is exactly what he did as he slipped into a booth off in some corner that still had a line of view to the counter with his elbow propped on the table and his head resting in the palm of his hand.
It wasn't until he sat down that he noticed he had a companion, technically two. The sound of breathing that was overly closs caused the Genin to slightly turn his head to the side so that he could see across from him out of the corner of his eyes. What greeted him was a male with long black hair and deep red eyes. With a very lax attitude and nonchelant tone Raichi greeted this stranger. "Hello hello~."

Kisuke was sort of in a daze, he was remembering the memory if that made any sense. It seemed do real, and it felt like such a long time ago. He wondered if at that point in time his mother was still alive. He sat there staring at the empty seat in front of him. Was his sister doing alright? She was busy with her own genin missions and such. He had been training and running around trying to accomplish things. He was getting stronger, but what was his real end goal. He wanted to help his sister become Kage. But after that? What did he want out of this life? Was this something he would later discover? Only time would tell as he heard a noise, someone had seated themselves at his booth. Which while wasn't particularly odd during the busiest of times these were not those times. His eyes fell upon the messy haired boy in front of him. His eyes fell to the headband, so he was also a shinobi. There eyes met as they both seemed to realize each other's presence. The comrade was the first to break the silence as he greeted Kisuke. At this point Fang had finished day dreaming about his meat bowl and stood, his head clearing the table easily and looking at the stranger. He looked at Kisuke for any kind of signs. Kisuke remained relaxed and calm, fang then followed suit and laid back down and waited. Only a few seconds had passed since the boy had said hello. Kisuke nodded in his direction as his previous thoughts vanished and an easy smile appeared on his face."Hello, how are you doing?" He didn't particularly mind the extra person in the both. But something seemed different about this guy.
Raichi was the first to break their little staring contest as Fang appeared from seemingly thin air like a nasty little magic trick. Fang's head pointing to the Senju and then towards his master before finally disappearing once more reflected in the eyes of the Senju as he watched their little interaction with a passive gaze that closely resembled the look one would give when they experience something for the first time and are in the midst of learning if they like it or not. Said Amber orbs turned their attention back to the counter where Raichi watched the employees work their magic in the kitchen.
The risque dressed waitress from before managed to find him at his new location. She still had that sultry smile on her face as she placed the steaming cup of herbal tea in front of him followed by the menu. He quickly scanned the front of the menu and found something that he believed would sate his appetite but the waitress was already turning to leave to give him time to look the menu over. She let out a small yelp as she felt his hand gently clasp her's; this being his choice of action to prevent her from leaving rather than simply asking her to wait. When he released her hand she realized that there was something left behind in her palm and when her curiosity got the better of her the waitress found a stack of coins that was more than enough to pay for five meals.
Little did she know though this was all the cash he had. "I'll take an order of Gyuniku-men, and a meatbowl for my furry little friend down there please. Keep the rest." She hesitated to respond but eventually gave a nod and trotted off to start the order with a flushed face. It seems he made her day, how cute. "I'm hungry, tired, and now I'm broke." Raichi laughed in a slightly amused manner as what he had said was painfully true, but he still managed to find some sort of humor in it. "I received my headband this morning, I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting before. I'm Raichi Umemiya Senju, and you?" Raichi started this new line of conversation based off the fact that he saw Kisuke's own headband, but assuming it wasn't in view let's just say it was based on a hunch that Kisuke seemed like the shinobi type.

From here Raichi would sit up straight, to a degree, and open the menu fully, placing it upright on the table in-front of himself like a student would use a three-ring binder as a shield when taking a test so that others couldn't cheat off their work. Using this newfound view blocking, the Senju male secreted a scroll out from his sleeve and placed it on his side of the menu so that he may read it while pretending to read the large list of meals. Raichi wanted to learn this technique so that he could use it to even the odds if he came to a disadvantage. Although one would not think the technique to be useful, it most certainly is since it allows him to have an ally to even the odds in a fight.
The Senju slipped his hands under the table as is placing them in his lap and would argue that any movement of his arms was simply from him twiddling with his thumbs. This ninjutsu was a B-Rank so he knew that it probably wouldn’t be easy to perform this technique. He wouldn’t give up that easily though, this is a kind of jutsu that he needed. Raichi slowly began to weave through the signs under the table, completely forgetting that Fang was down there and could see exactly what he was doing and would probably relay the information to his owner.
Raichi finished off the hand signs to the best of his abilities. It wasn’t exactly easy since he couldn't really see waht he was doing and also couldn't move his arms that much as to not raise suspicion. Eventually, he got the idea of the hand signs down and once he exerted enough chakra, a clone appeared behind him in the other booth which was blocked by a divider for privacy, looking exactly like him.

Raichi resisted the urge to smile even though it wouldn't be seen and returned his hands from under the table to lower his menu-barrier-view-obstructor, after which he cleared his throat and flashed an apologetic smile. Hopefully, Kisuke took it as he was just trying to multitask reading the menu for future reference while listening to what he had to say rather than learning the truth of what he had done which would have probably been taken magnitudes ruder. Meanwhile, his clone slipped under the table to the other side of his booth and quickly bolted out the back, thankfully unseen by the waitress and hopefully unseen by Fang.

Kisuke watched his interaction with the waitress, it was too bad and she didn't seemed to bother by it. His own food should be arriving soon as he had ordered it just long enough ago. He looked down at Fang who was simply waiting. The smell of his fresh herbal tea caught his nose, he had finished his and was waiting for a refill. The waitress returned with a fresh pot and she poured it into his. He thanked her as she left. The stranger in his booth had purchased a meat bowl for Fang, even though they barely even knew each other. What reason was that for he wondered? He turned to Kisuke and let him know of his current situation. He made him chuckle a bit at how bleak it looked."Maybe you shouldn't have given her four...five hundred ryo for your food?"The coins made a small jingle when they were placed into her hand, Kisuke simply estimated an amount from the noise."Still, I appreciate you buying something for my partner. He appreciates it to believe me."Fang let out a quite bark in response. Kisuke's gaze returned to the other young shinobi as he told him he just received his head. Looks like he was a new graduate with the others? Kisuke's own hendband was tied around his arm, so it was in view."That's great! congratulations on getting your headband! We haven't met before Raichi. My name is Kisuke Shinsetsu."After this line of conversation the no longer stranger named Raichi put his menu up like a small fort. Kisuke wondered what the heck this guy was doing. But decided not to bug him, out of the corner of his eye he could see his food being served in a bowl and almost ready to be brought out.
As the clone slipped under the table he would encounter fang face to face. He had somehow crawled over while Raichi was doing his jutsu. Fang stared at Raichi's clone with a tilted head as he licked his face and crawled back over to Kisuke without making a noise. It was probably his way of saying thanks for the meat bowl.
Kisuke noticed Raichi put his little fort down, it seemed he was ready to converse again. Kisuke's easy smile still present."I've had my headband a little longer than you, but not much. So we are basically equals."At this time his food arrived piping hot and set on his table. And Fangs was placed near him as well. But Fang didn't eat just yet. He waited for Kisuke to start eating. He thanked the waitress as she dropped the food off and took a sip of his tea. Raichi's food would probably be coming up soon so he decided to wait for him."Senju you said? They are a pretty great clan aren't they?"
Raichi let out an amused laugh as he grasped his emerald colored tea gingerly with both hands before bringing the steaming concotion to his lips. After blowing on the surface of the tea in an attempt to cool it down, the young Senju male took a cautious sip of the liquid in hopes of not burning his tongue nor the inside of his mouth. A relaxed and contented sigh followed the swallowing of the hot liquid. Raichi believe he was able to say with full confidence that this ramen shop had some damn fine tea.
"Perhaps, but I feel it was a worthy investment nyah-hah." Again he would let out a soft laugh, but this one would be a laugh which resembled what one would assume to be in feline nature. Amber orbs peered down into the depths of the emerald tea; perhaps Raichi was contemplating on taking another sip, or maybe he was just staring back at himself via his reflection on the surface of the liquid. "Thanks," he stated with enthusiasm at the mentioning of congratulations, "and you're quite welcome."
It was hard to tell who exactly he was directing when he finished his sentence. Kisuke, Fang, or both? The world shall never know. Raichi took another sip of his tea around the time of his companion making conversation about his clan which resulted in a long low-based auditory response resounding from the bottom of the Senju's throat, otherwise known as a hum.
Perhaps he was filling the time while he searched for an answer by doing this, but he may also have done it simply because he was uncomfortable with the question and was decided how best to respond. "I believe some are great.. others not so much. What about your clan, Kisuke-kun?" It seems Raichi was comfortable with the idea of progressing to being on such a formal basis already, but maybe his partner was not the same way as he.
Around this time the waitress from before came back over with Fang's second meatbowl, kneeling down to place it in front of the canine before placing the bowl of Gyuniku-men on-top of the table directly in-front of Raichi. He offered his thanks and she did so as well for the extravagant tip. At the nod of his head the woman returned to work and he took one last sip of his tea and look at his reflection before placing the cup on the table.
With one hand he broke apart a pair of chopsticks and with the other he motioned for Kisuke to begin his eating since he so graciously waited for Raichi's food to arrive. While fiddling with the food in his bowl, tossing it around to get a nice health portion he furthered his previous inquiry, "the Shinsetsu are pretty great too are they not? You are the former Lord Hokage's son are you not? That's a grand achievement he was able to accomplish." With that he took his first bite and soon let out a sound of content, but this time for the food.

He smiled a little more when Raichi spoke of an investment, he supposed you could look at it like that. And not just tipping the waitress a large amount to get some later on. After a while of just him staring into the abyss, he finally spoke again. He nodded at his thanks, it really was a great achievement to receive your headband. But the road ahead was long Kisuke just hoped he was ready for it.
The humming tone seemed off, Kisukes' ears twitched slightly. He guessed that wasn't the best subject to bring up for him. His response clarified his assumptions. So it wasn't like he disliked his clan, but he also did not like a few of them. He guessed it was like that in alot of clans, Kisuke should have been prepared for his responses after that. He was the one who brought up clans first. We at least he had one clan he knew he could talk about."I'm actually a part of the Inuzuka clan, though I do not hold their family name. They are pretty great actually, their teamwork with their partners is amazing."But as if Raichi knew he was avoiding talking about his actual family name. He inquired about the Shinsetsu.
At the mention of his father, Kisuke body tensed ever so slightly. It relaxed less than a second afterward though. Of course he would know about him, the senju are a very influential clan in Konoha. Many of them would of known his father when he was around and thus known about him and his sister. "Yes, they are, and yes I am. Although as I mentioned I did not inherit my fathers bloodline, but my mothers. Haven't met too many clan members though. It's currently only my sister and I in Konoha." He stopped to think what he would respond about his father."Ya, He was a hero to the village I'm sure."Though he still had his easy smile a hint of sadness shimmered in his blood red pools. He snapped the chopsticks and began to eat, at this time Fang had been patiently waiting for Kisuke to start eating first. Since it was customary for the alpha to eat before everyone else. Once the food went into his mouth fang also dug in."But in the end, All hero's die of overwork."He thought to himself silently.
Raichi shifted his position on his side of the booth, switching to a much more comfortable approach for himself although for others it would seem absurd. Sliding to the end of the bench seat the young male leaned to his left until he was laying across the wooden structure, with his arm bent at his elbow, head resting in his palm. From this position, his eyes were just about level with the tabletop although they were slightly higher which allowed him to see Kisuke unobstructed, only after he slid his bowl over, however.
Bending his right knee in the opposite way that his arm was bent the male swayed his leg back and forth as he poked and prodded around inside of the ornate bowl with his chopsticks. "Inuzuka eh? They are pretty neato too. I have to agree with you, the level at which they can perform with their partner is quite amazing. They make it look so simple, but alas it's not so for the rest of us haha." Raichi finally found what he was looking for, or at least it seemed so as when he pulled his chopsticks from the bowl they had a splendid booty which he quickly shoveled into his mouth with an uncanny precision.
It was uncertain whether or not Raichi took note of Kisuke's tensing over the mention of his father or the saddened reflection in his eyes for he didn't express anything via emotion or physically. He did notice something, however, and this was proven by the fact he avoided pushing the subject of Noctis any further. It was the least he could do since Kisuke didn't prod in his hesitation either. While chewing what food he had in his mouth Raichi swished his chopsticks back and forth in the air in concert with the movement of his leg and a low hum.
"So," he started after swallowing, "everyone knows Inuzuka as the dog clan, but can you work with other animals too? There are some nasty things out in the world and it would be pretty advantageous if your connection with animals worked with beasts as well, like a hydra by chance." Raichi let out another laugh, but the way he let his statement hang in the air indicated that it was possible he wasn't entirely joking either. "All I'm good for is wood sadly. You need a house, I'm your man. An apartment complex? Sure, I can do that too. Eventually, if you want a forest I can give you that as well, but if you want anything else I'm useless sadly. Nothin' but a one-trick-pony us Senju."
Again he laughed aloud as he swiped more food from his bowl and shoveled it into his mouth. Leaning back slightly he cast his gaze to the floor where Fang was lying. With a muffled voice and garbled words he asked the canine, "You enjoying your meat buddy?" He would await a response from the mammal before returning his attention to Kisuke. "So how long have you been a Genin for? What kind of luxurious life to I have to look forward too now that I'm a dog of war." He paused. "No pun or offense intended of course." A loud gulp was heard from Raichi as he forced himself to swallow the food; apparently, he took a bigger bite than expected. Placing his chopsticks atop his bowl he grasped his cup of tea and brought it to his lips to rehydrate himself while awaiting his answer.

Kisuke continued eating his food at Raichi slid over to his side of the booth. He stopped at the point that he was sitting right cross from him. What a strange guy Kisuke thought to himself as he seemed to be just staring. He began to speak about the Inuzuka and how great they were with their partners. It seemed he had noticed Kisukes reaction to his father and the shinsetsu clan so he was changing the subject. That was good and bad, it meant that he was still letting it get to him. Also at least he wasn't an idiot that didn't pick up on social cues. Kisuke nodded in agreement about the Inuzuka, they were pretty great. He was the first person who didn't have the Inuzuka name to be part of the clan. But it was simply due to his late fathers status. As he was nearing the end of his bowl Raichi spoke again. His words became suddenly extremely interesting as he mentioned beasts and monsters and even talked about Hydras. Kisuke's face suddenly lit up a little at the mention."I have literally been dreaming about taming a Hydra as one of my companions. That would be incredible! They are just so fascinating,I read about them in the academy and ever since I couldn't learn enough." It was one of those times you ask someone about something they are interested in and they go crazy and talk about them alot. But Kisuke really did have a way of captivating people with his words. After Kisuke had finished talking he gulped down the rest of his bowl. Raichi took the moment to address Fang about his meatbowl that he had ordered for him. Fang barked in agreement to Raichi. Even though he didn't know how to understand others quite yet. He knew what sound the word "meatbowl" made. Kisuke smirked at his partner."I wouldn't say that, manipulating the earth and trees could come in handy in any sort of scenarios, for instance you could probably create a cage strong enough to hold a hydra. The senju bloodline has been known to help deal with bijuu. So why not other giant beasts?" Kisuke moved his empty plate away from him and finished his tea.He laughed at Raichis dog of war comment. It was pretty funny."I graduated a couple months ago, and I can tell you right now. Get ready for pulling a lot of weeds and taking a lot of food orders."The life of a genin seemed pretty dismal. But soon Kisuke sparked back up."Though once you get to chunnin or jounin, you get so much more freedom. To go out and see the world. I'm hoping a chunnin exams will happen soon." He paused for a second after saying that. The chunnin exams are usually held for those recommended by their sensei. Since he had no squad or sensei he wondered if Taka would still let him go. His gaze was unfocused and looking past Raichi as he suddenly had an idea. Looking straight at Raichi he opened his mouth."Hey I just met you, and this is crazy. But lets be a squad? and fight me maybe?"
It seemed great minds thought alike afterall, or at-least one could assume so for no-one really knew the mental capacity of the two Genin in the corner booth. Perhaps that phrase was only created to make dumb people feel better about themselves because smarter people always find different solutions. Raichi was surprised to say the least at how interested Kisuke was in his little spur of the moment idea. The mere sight of it almost made him want to laugh; Kisuke was acting like a child on christmas or going to get icecream after sports practice. In short it was adorable.
Even if Raichi was purposefully downplaying his potential for the sake of conversation, it was still reassuring to see another look up to his abilities, even if was probably only of use to further their goals. It was a nice feeling to be wanted. "Perhaps, yeah. I'm not one to brag but my Mokuton techniques are stronger than most in the Senju Clan. The Elders said it had something to do with the day I was born on and a lot of mumbo jumbo. Regardless, we might need another for such a quest, I don't think I alone might be enough."
The seat in the booth was comfortable, but with it being wooden it was not wise to prolong exposure to boney surfaces such as an elbow. Raichi's arm was beginning to hurt and it was causing him to feel discomfort, so much to his dismay, he stopped laying on the bench and returned to a more proper etiquette style of sitting at a restaurant with a deep sigh. Switching the cup of emerald tea from one hand to the other the young male reached into his pocket and shoveled around inside before producing a handful of crumpled mission slips. "That's disheartening. I assumed all of these were just temporary since I got my headband so late." He laughed a sad laugh and slipped the papers back into the pocket of his pants.
Raichi was in the middle of stuffing the rest of the Gyuniku-men in the bowl into his mouth when Kisuke burst out into a singsong manner of asking him a serious series of question which caused him to pause with a blank expression on his face. After a moment or two of just staring at his conversation partner, he slowly began to chew the rest of his food and swallowed. Once done he placed the ornate bowl down on the hardwood tabletop with his chopsticks positioned neatly across the top.
After grabbing his cup of tea he chugged down the rest which was a travesty because it was still rather hot and thusly burned on the way down. With an exaggerated exhale as if he had just chugged a pint of beer he slammed his cup down next to his bowl which caused the other things to rattle. "I might have a third for this squad Kisuke, but he's kinda old, and I'll fight you maybe." Raichi laughed as he slid out of the booth and stood tall with a stretch from head to toe. "So, what's the next move partner?"

Kisuke listened to his his booth partner, he was a very interesting person. His mokuton being stronger than most senju was fascinating. That bloodline already being strong and now being even stronger than them was cool. Kisuke finally had his answer, it seemed they had just created a squad together or something.It was a pretty cool feeling. He finished his food and stood, saying he had an idea for a third. Raichi nodded to Kisuke in approvement. It was set. These two, technically three, would form a team, and in order to finalize it they had to search for the chosen one. "We should probably split up," he suggested. "The one we're looking for is about.. oh yeigh high." Raichi held out his hand with his palm flat at a decently tall height next to him; roughly just over six foot would be the person they were looking for. "I say he's old but he's actually only like twenty-five or something. He wears an eyepatch to look cool, don't think his eye is actually missing though. His hair is like mine but less messy and black." The Senju male shrugged before crossing his arms and walking towards the exit. "If all else fails, then you should be able to find him simply by just feeling awkward being in his presence." With that Raichi vanished on the other side of the door. [exit]

So they decided to split up and look for their teammate. But then Kisuke remembered he needed to get to Takumi before they were sent out in on their mission. And he needed to do mission to get money before leaving. Raichi was already gone. He would just to get things over with quickly. And so he would leave finding their teammate to Raichi. He would meet up with them later.
Though she was ultimately determined to get to her mining, doing so would require Sumika to obtain a full stomach first, and maybe something to go for later. She wondered how well ramen would travel as she plopped down on one of the shop's handful of stools, stomach growling loudly at the prospect of a meal. "WAGYU BOWL PLEASE!" She shouted, much to the dismay of the man on the other side of the counter. He started to protest, but seemed to think better of it considering who his customer was, and went digging around for the much less common ingredients that comprised the little jiton user's favorite beef dish. Sure, she could have gone back to her cruddy little apartment and eaten some of her cruddy corner store ramen, but that required effort and Sumika was not about to put in effort prior to going to do some actual work. No, instead she was content spending her energy fidgeting impatiently, annoying the hell out of the shop's owner.
