Koko was chattering at Shikatsu, her small snout and sharp teeth flashing slightly, her tone one of curiosity. Mushi, it appeared, had fallen asleep on Tsu's feet. Finally, Tsu spoke "I haven't really thought much past just wanting to help. After the attacks, I did what I could to save broken things. Animals, items, that sort of thing." his room had looked like a dangerous hoarding situation until his parents had suggested, gently, that he donate his fixed items to charity so they could find love again "Nothing is every broken that can't be helped. That's...kind of everything to me. Whether as a shinobi or as a villager. I just want to help. Oh, I'm also a tamer!" he added, tugging on Koko's tail to illustrate.

Shikatsu listened carefully to Tsu as he gave his answer. It was plain and to the point, but it seemed to fit the boy's personality. He looked at the 2 animals when he mentioned he was a tamer and fixed his gaze on the yellow one for a moment before returning back to Tsu. "I see, then I believe I have just one final question for right now. Say you were on a mission and your team was attacked. Several people are injured to different degrees, including yourself and your animals here. You are the medical ninja here and have to act fast. Who do you help first, and why?" He asked this one differently as his tone was far more serious than it was before, the look in his eye sharp as a knife as he scanned the boy for any and all reactions.

"Nara-san." Tsu smiled as he said the name, still adding the honorific on the end. While his family may have been all tamers, with no particular prestige to their name, every member had been brought up to respect life and to honor those who were kind. The taking on of a student meant that Nara-san was kind and, as such, was due the respect that came with becoming a teacher. Mushi's nose went a bit wild at the extended hand, sniffing intently before showing a surprising amount of strength. Heaving with his paws, Mushi easily pulled himself up onto the desk to shove his nose into Nara-san's palm. A large brown nose, slightly damp, he snuffled deeply to remember the scent. From Tsu's shoulder, Koko let out a chittering cry at not being included and jumped from Tsu's shoulder onto Mushi's back. The Japanese badger ignored the marten, used to her showing up suddenly on his back, and Koko stood on her hind legs to sniff inquisitively at the air around Nara-san "Hey! Be polite." Tsu protested, a bit half-heartedly as the two animals were ignoring him completely at this point.

Shikatsu let a small smirk cross his face as the two animals got familiar with him. He was well versed with tamers and their animals due to his childhood friend and teammate being one. He kind of missed having the creatures around on missions and just around town. "Can you tell me about these two?" He asked watching them, almost recording their movements as he analyzed them.

Having taken in all the scent he could, Mushi was now exploring the desk with his nose, moving papers around and generally being, well, badger-ish. Koko had gotten down off Mushi's back and was holding onto Nara-san's hand as she investigated it, her nose twitching. Embarrassed but also excited to share any information about his closest, read "only", friends, Tsu stepped closer to the desk "Mushi's name is actually Muji Shizuko but he likes being called Mushi. He's a Japanese badger and even though he's kinda big, he's still only a baby." the subject in question had turned to watch Tsu, his short fluffy tail twitching up as he listened. His brown eyes blinked and he ambled back over to Tsu, going up on his hindlegs and putting his clawed paws on Tsu's shoulder to sniff intently at Tsu's ear "He's really strong, even if he's grumpy." Tsu gripped one of Mushi's paws and pressed the pad, revealing some very sharp claws "He's good at combat too! He fought a cat who was chasing Koko once." the badger pulled irritably at his paw, forcing Tsu to release it so that he could sit, hind feet splayed out and his front feet pressing onto the desk. Koko had finished with her inspection of Nara-san's hand and was now up in his personal space, her bright yellow throat vibrating as she sent out little purrs of interest "Koko's name is Chichiko Shizuko but Koko is easier to say. She's a yellow-throated marten and is even more of a baby than Mushi, since she's only 6 months old." her long tail was wrapped around her feet as she sat up, appearing very long as she stretched up to sniff "Oh, uhm, she also gets-" Koko suddenly sneezed so violently that she flew backwards, rolling into Mushi who grumbled at her "allergies. Sorry." Tsu winced as papers went flying from Koko's abrupt passage but the marten didn't appear too concerned. She remained happily laying against Mushi, holding and cleaning her tail between two paws "She's sneaky, cause she's skinny, and she gets into all sorts of mischief. But she doesn't like to go cause she doesn't like getting dirty. Oh, and she hates eels. And Mushi hates ponds." Tsu paused, wondering if there was anything else he needed to add about his companions but didn't think there was.

Having listened to his detailed description about his companions and watching as the sneezing Koko made his desk askew, he thought that introductions went well. "I see that you care for them very much. Keep that up and they will be great assets in the future, and greater friends." With this he stood up and walked towards the door, stopping only after he opened it. "Coming?" He asked as he continued onwards expecting Tsu to follow.

He spoke without looking over to the boy. "To my lab, it's a better spot to....." He paused and looked at him for a second. "Do you get squeamish?" He asked, thinking this should be a question sooner than later.
