-----{ A } cry in the mist, a roar closer than its twin had been mere minutes before. The clang of steel on another dense surface, the chunk of ice being cut ineffectively. It brought his muddled mind towards the sounds, his vision blurry, yet revealing still nothing in his path. However, living in such conditions had taught him that sight was a useless sense in most cases, for it could be
obscured or tricked in a way that others found more difficult. Using the bare minimum amount of processing Wanryoku threw himself into the primal part of his nature, his eyes closing to allow the sensory input to focus more on other factors. Pain coursed through his flesh from nerves shriveled by the cold fought to expand from his internal warmth, clearing his mind but a fraction, but this he pushed away. The taste of bitter frost upon his tongue, the blood on his tongue from where his teeth had nicked the edges of the spongy organ. This, too, he pushed away, revealing exactly what he needed last: sound. There, in the distance, to the side in this maelstrom of frozen water. "Be ready." With that the giant moved forward, his alacritous movements broken up by the ice cracking across his clothes in a spray of fine mist.

-----And just as suddenly as that, the howling wind came to a standstill.

-----Two children fought against a foe that distorted in his vision, for a creature translucent against a backdrop of snow was near impossible to see. Yet when it moved, as it writhed away from Axel's blade, it became clear exactly was he was looking at: the creature he had seen before. Having no way to know anything different, Wanryoku slowly bared his finger with the beginning of an angry growl rumbling in his chest, though the emotional display was likely lost on the monstrosity. Steeling himself, Wan muttered one one warning, a warning to the girl on his shoulder, before he leaned down and dragged his fists through the snow and the ground below, the dirt coalescing upon his fists. Anger stoked the flames in his heart, enough to warm him through the motions despite the frostbite clearly spreading through his form. With a growl Stamina grew within him, fists clenching with knuckle crunching as they expanded within the stone gauntlets. Time slowed to a near infinite point as the giant's other hand unclasped, releasing Zangai into a freefall towards the earth below. It's landing, however, would not find Wanryoku anywhere near.

-----Rin would feel an incredible amount of pressure upon her body as the world turned into a tunnel, everything whipping by at speeds that boggled the mind. How else would it feel when one was on the outside of a Shunshin? While not the same due to the fact it used muscles to launch one at such speed, the effect was the same: they appeared right within melee range of the monster. With a mighty roar erupting from his throat the instant he came out of it, the giant swung forward and would plow his arm through its chest, wrapping his fist around the black orb embedded there as the vocalizations took shape, revealing the entire purpose of this attack.

-----"Fooooooood!"

• Gangeki [ Boulder Strike ]
Rank: X :: Simple (C-ranked Stamina, S-ranked Damage)
Description: Rather than tackling, the user will rush an opponent with their arm cocked, building focus and power into one point. When the timing seems right, they will release an incredibly powerful hook punch, capable of turning boulders into fine powder. Gains a moderate strength bonus per rank, but has a maximum speed of C-Rank.
• Jagged Armor of Dust
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: The user manipulates their chakra in order to attach a thin layer of debris and shrapnel to their outer body. Thanks to this newly applied skin, any physical attack performed by the user gains a mild strength bonus and the user's fortitude is increased heavily.
• Bakuyaku Ugoki [ Explosive Movement ]
Rank: B :: Complex
Description: A technique developed by shinobi in order to remove the weight burden of their weapon for a brief moment. By placing a hefty amount of chakra to their lower half, the user fortifies and strengthens their muscles; no longer will it feel as though they are lugging around a weapon that could easily be the same weight as they are. However, because of its mechanics, this technique is not meant to be used for long durations. The strengthening of the muscles allows the user to make a quick dash or leap in order to close great distances, nothing more. Allows the user to travel up to 50 meters at the speed of Shunshin. Has a cooldown of one post.

Rin heard his warning but was unsure about what the man meant, holding on tightly for a moment before she would understand why he had given her the warning. She would feel the pressure and speed of the world whirling by as she held onto the man tightly, fearing she might even fall of, she would form a single hand sign, wind and water chakra surging, following what it is she might want to do, strapping herself onto the giant man with her ice so as to not fall of him at this speed.
Once he came to halt she would hear his mighty roar. Peeking over his shoulder she could see just how close they were to the creature. As soon as she registered the monster there she would feel and see Wanryokus arm move toward the icy beast. Then she would hear him, screaming out "Food!" leaving the girl confused yet she would focus on the situation. Releasing the ice keeping her strapped to the man and with a string of handsigns she would point the palm of her hand toward the creature releasing a strong gust of wind, should the mans arm fail to connect with the monster she hoped the distance between them would be enough to allow for a hit at the thing from her jutsu. Her legs holding onto the man so that the wind from her own jutsu wouldn't just knock her off the giant jounin.

Techniques used:

Zankuuha [ Decapitating Air Waves ]
Rank: D
Official Description: Zankuuha is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sound ninja Zaku Abumi. Using the air vents installed in his arms, Zaku can control supersonic waves and air pressure. The Zankuuha creates a massive gust of wind, which he can blast at an opponent. The gust is so strong it can even break rock.
Guild Description: The user releases a large blast of wind directly from the palms of the hands. The gust is strong enough to break rock.
Hi Soujuu [ Ice Manipulation ]
Attribute
This control allows the Hyouton user to meld dormant ice as though it were clay. Not only can it take any form the user desires, but it can also be levitated or shifted around as if it were water. It should be noted that one can only manipulate ice they themselves have made, and it must be done while holding a single handsign. Additionally, ice that is freely manipulated is not very solid, and can be broken or melted as if it were natural ice- making it a poor choice for attacking with.

Axel's first strike met its mark against the ice, leaving a superficial line on the surface. But it didn't seem to do anymore. The creature whirled suddenly, its movements much faster than the previous beast's. Swinging one of its blade-like arms, it parried the second attack out of its turn, knocking the blade aside. Meanwhile, Toso's ink bullets hit its now open back. How much damage was done was left unknown, however, as the ice was coated in the black substance.

And then Wan's attack came, and there was nothing it could have done to know the attack was coming. However, with the black ink now coating its back, aiming for the orb within the chest was not an easy feat. As the thing was solid ice, however, the fist hit its back, and shattered the ice, rather than piercing through. As the ice fell away, a shriek emitted from it, loud enough at their close range to distort everyone's vision, giving it the chance to recreate a protective barrier around the orb. It rammed a blade into the ground and from all around it shot spikes of ice, trying to pierce its foes through.

Meanwhile, even after the shriek ended, Axel continued to hear ringing in his ears. Almost instantly, he would begin to feel drained.

"I am the sword in the Darkness...

Fight Music! Starts at the *

Axel closed an eye as the creature shrieked, it was so loud he could barely see for a moment, and because of just how close he was to the creature, it hurt like a truck. The redhead saw the creature’s movement, soon after, he saw the spikes being created on the ground. He met the attack with a single hand sign, and then, a puff of smoke, taking the red head out of harm’s way. The Chunin had expected such an attack, it was why he threw his sword’s sheath away in the first place, but it seemed to not work , maybe it was too small for such a feat, so instead, he switched places with a big pile of snow. Now that he was away from the creature to create some distance, its roar caused something in him, strong enough to make him feel exhausted. He didn’t feel it as much at first, but there was no denying it was there. He felt his shoulder be heavy, as well as his eyelids, he even kneeled on the ground at this point, each passing second he felt worse than the last, to the point where he understood it was unsustainable. He hadn’t slept in at least a day, all because of that damned wood chopping mission, and he wasn’t rested enough from his last encounter with one of these creatures. He was going to end it now, once and for all. There, while kneeling, Axel brought his hands together and did the ram seal. “Everyone stand back.” He growled and let his chakra course through his body and into the ground bellow him, as well as into the creature’s own body. What he wanted was to have the creature’s ice be so overwhelmed with chakra that it would let it seep through and thus convert its core into the sand, as well as the ground bellow it, so that if the creature itself wasn’t converted into sand. The ground bellow everyone would begin to shake, the snow would start to give away as the earth bellow them turned from solid and uniform, into small specs of metal sand. With one jerk upward of his hands, the Sand would rise from bellow the Ice Creature, tightening around its legs at first and then suddenly launching itself all around it to envelop it in the black-gray substance. Should the attack hit the creature, it would begin to grind against it while simultaneously, Axel would try to extract the special iron sand from its core and add it into his blade. There was no doubt in his mind that the effects he had seen just moments ago had come from the use of the orb into his blade, and if his blade could do that from just one orb, only Jashin knew what it could do with two, or even more. As he saw the Iron Sand chaos rise around him, and all his teammates, Axel let go of the most Ben Affleck’s Batman smile he could muster up, a simple, small, yet very cautious, half smile.

Toso would see the ice shooting upwards jumping he'd roll the brush in his palm waiting for the opportune time. The icy spears collided with large hastily drawn stroke of ink and for the most part vanished in their creation as quickly as they rose. Seeing the iron sand begin to pick up Toso would sling his free arm to launch himself on top of the lowest closest adjacent roof top. In flight he noticed two figures. Giant-san and Axel's lover...or rather assumed lover. He hadn't been told otherwise.

He hoped Axel was certain of his recent attempt at handling this beast, with said confidence for his Ally Toso proceeded to channel his chakra for future use. Fighting an unknown enemy, the one who knows most about should take the lead. Toso watched looking down from above in hopes for a successful attempt on Axel's part. If he failed he'd certainly lose some cool points. Then a thought came to Toso...is this structure really a being? If not...then maybe he could brush it away just as he did the ice...However, he'd wait for the aftermath of Axel's assault from a safe distance.

-----{ A } screech split through the dullness of Wanryoku's mind, sending him reeling backwards from the force of the sonic burst. Yet the grinding of ice a moment later gave him all the warning he could possibly have gotten before spike launched upwards from beneath his feet. With an exertion in Chakra the giant completed his technique, the stone beneath them flashing outwards from the remains of his gauntlets to spread across his entire body. Though Rin held fast to the jounin's neck she would be unable to receive the benefit of the technique, with the stone growing up from his flesh underneath her precarious perch. The force of the stabs caught Wan's chest, shoving him backwards from the force and causing the stone, and the ice, to groan in tandem. So, these things were as strong as his armor? Well, that just meant more breaking! Shoved backwards, the giant fought to catch his feet and thus did not hear the shouted warning, unfortunately meaning that when the iron sand began to form underneath him he was at a loss as to what exactly was going on.

-----Grey sand flew through the air to surround the beast, yet Wan was not done with it. No, even as the iron sand flew forward and began to overwhelm the creature Wan threw himself forward, still intent on the darkened snack he knew lay within the confines of the beast's chest. What would it taste like, he wondered as his arm surged through the sand with new gauntlets formed to grab the beast within. Beef? Blood? Meat at all? Or would it taste of blood slicked ice? Oh, perhaps it would taste of cherry! Where these thoughts came from remained a mystery, yet his earlier statement ensured that the salivation that gushed between his gaping jaws needed no explanation. He would eat this sonovabitch if it was the last thing he would do.

-----The grit, the pain, it was ignored as he snagged the beast within and hauled on it, attempting to rip it free long enough for him to get the juicy nugget of flesh within out.

-----And all the while, the sane part of his mind, hidden behind thick blankets of numbed reasonings, screamed for him to stop as it realized just what horror, and dangers, they faced.

    • Gangeki [ Boulder Strike ]
    Rank: X :: Simple (C-ranked Stamina, S-ranked Damage)
    Rank: B :: Complex
    Rank: B :: Complex

    Everyone

Rin was protected from the spikes, thanks to being on Wan's shoulders.

In its weakened state, still trying to repair its body, the creature was all but defenseless against the iron sand that quickly wrapped around it. With the ice as thin as it was, Wan's hand broke through to the core without any issue, and the monster crumpled with a pained shriek. However, Wan's hand around the core didn't stop the progression of the sand. The grains whirled around the giant's arm as the creature's remains were overwhelmed, tearing through the stone armor and adding its creation to Axel's collection. Likewise it tore at the orb, but unlike the first one, it cut away the outer black layer and left something else behind:

    A polished blue stone.

The stone didn't seem to give way under the sand, but the light that it cast increased for a brief moment. Then suddenly from Wan's hand a blast of pressure erupted outwards, sending everyone within a five meter radius flying. If Wan released it, it would fall harmlessly to the ground, the glow at its heart dying. For all of a few seconds before ice began to form around it again.

"I am the sword in the Darkness...

As soon as he saw the pitch black sand trickle out of the core, Axel made a hand gesture, forcing the rest of the Iron Sand to rush to the ground and lay still like tranquil waters once a powerful storm had passed. The redhead rose his blade and examined it as the black sands rushed into the weapon, making it grow by a couple of inches. It was still short, just shy of three feet, way too short for a proper katana, he noticed, so he pulled from the Iron Sand that had been gathered in the ground to extend the blade to four feet. Once its length was to his liking, all he had to do was create a sheath, and it would all be good, but before he had a chance to do that, he found himself flying through the air, knocked back by a shockwave similar to the one he had created, only that this one came from Wan. He landed with his back to the Iron Sand and snow, and only stared at the man. “There is no chance you’d be willing to give me that rock, is there?” He asked the giant, knowing full well that if he was able to get that rock, his own blade’s shockwave would grow stronger, or at least that was what he assumed. Slowly, the boy got up from the ground and made a single hand sign, hardening the Iron Sand bellow all of them to restore the ground into a form similar to what it was prior to the fight, it might have not been hard earth, but it was at least solid. “Someone needs to go get the Raikage, figure out what’s going on here. I doubt he’s in his office with everything that’s been going on there… there were a lot of people in the Dojo, at least it was that way when I left to come here, maybe that’lll be a good place to start.” He eyed Rin, who had not been able to do much in the fight, probably due to lack of training, or perhaps she deemed her ice abilities not fit to fight an ice creature, it made sense to see it that way. Maybe she should be the one to go find the Raikage, if the girl even knew who he was, but at the same time, he didn’t feel all that comfortable letting her go alone; what if she was attacked by one of these things. “Regardless, I think we should press on, find where these things are coming from, with or without anyone’s help. I know that’s what I’m going to do.”

He noticed giant san had performed an exquisite feat of strength and Axel, ingenuity."I heard from a man the academy was experiencing something similar to this blooop...at the same time Anbu are dead and frozen and an odd chakra signature emanates from the Raikage tower..blooop. I'll be your eyes in the sky bloop." Toso was currently trying to process all the information being produced at once. The unnatural snow, the monsters, the beasts, the girls, the Axel, The Giant San, The Axel's Lover. He held his brushes limply his sleeves like wet noodles alluding to the condition of the arms beneath the layers of clothing.

-----{ W } hile others might seem to have suffered no ill reaction to the eruption from the stone in his hand, nor seem to give two shits about the fact that ice was spreading over it like oil on a lady's backside, Wanryoku was clearly not feeling very well about the situation. In fact, when the eruption was loosed he screamed high pitched to the point of likely hurting a few eardrums before falling to his knees and slamming the stone, the ice, and his fist into the ground in rapid succession, all while punctuating the report from the connection with a loud "NO!" Only when the ice ceased to grow did he stop, his breaths erupting in great gales of mist shrouding his face in white fluff. Taking a deep breath the giant growled in some off, musical foreign language before stuffing the stone in his pocket, heedless of the fact that Rin has been torn from his shoulders and that others had spoken to him.

-----All he cared about was the howling in his stomach and the ominous rumbling of his bowels. Turning his head to look towards the hospital, and hopefully food, Wan opened his mouth to speak.

Snow pilled in and it was a small fight to get the door closed and barricaded with a nearby display table, sturdy enough to hold, but shaking enough to rattle omniously. Casting eyes around would see shattered glass, broken tools, and just.. mess. Honō sighed. It was decided to keep the forge going - for heat and for continued production, with a focus on weapons. There was nothing natural about this storm, his mother said. So Honō went to the immediate concern of the broken glass. Grabbing the fine-bristled broom, Honō began sweeping up the shards in the working areas first, allowing his family to get to work on their crafts as soon as possible. The glass was deposited into a small bucket, to be sorted and hopefully reused at a later date. For now, Honō kept sweeping, slowly, meticiously working his way from the back working area to the front customer area.
                              [ 1/3 ]

"Honō," A family member called. Green eyes turned away from the scatterings of glass in response. "When you're done, I'll need a hand, okay?" Honō nodded with a soft word of assent, steady hands carefully moving the brush across the floor, trained eyes picking out even the tiniest of clear thorns on the tiled floor. When he was satisfied with his job, Honō turned to the cousin who had called for him, awaiting instruction. "Some tools were damaged - give me a hand fixing them up?" Honō nodded and took a seat at the workbench. The table had only a few tools in need of repair, along with a few cutters and blades in need of their routine sharpening. Honō began by repairing the wooden handle of one tool - a make-shift job until they had the time to do so properly. Right now, the main concern of the shop was on more serious matters...
                              [ 2/3 ]

Honō sanded back the broken handle, removing any splinters that were born from the fractures. Then tape was used to make the two pieces whole and sturdy, ready for temporary use. Almost as soon as Honō put it down, someone snatched it up to use. But Honō still had more to fix. Taking up a blade an a rod of steel, Honō began sharpening one on the later. The sound of steel scrapping against steel filled Honō's corner, but the rest of the forge was competing between the hammering of tools and the storm outside. Together, the family continued their steady work, a single purpose driving them to efficiency. There was no worry as to what was occuring outside the door and windows, only knowing they needed to be ready for the sake of their family and fellow villagers. Knives sharp, handles fixed, Honō moved on to the general maintaince of tools being desposited on the table - cleaning them of the residue of their trade or sharpening yet another cutting tool.

"Honō," The young man looked up when called, hands still gently running a blade over a wet stone. "I need a hand with this." Honō nodded, setting aside his current job to aid with another.

Walking over to his Uncle, Honō took hold of the offered tongs without a word and began to assist. Honō had grown up in this forge, his child-hood bedroom only two floors above, so working next to the roaring heat of the furnace was a standard day. His uncle gave a nod and stepped away to shape the glass he had already heated, leaving Honō to turn and care for the piece of material being prepared for its turn to be shaped. The glass was clear, and no orders of colour to be added was given - mass production mode meant sacrificing ornamentation. Most of their glass weapons weren't decorated anyway.
                              [ 1/4 ]

When the first glob of glass was sufficiently heated, Honō pulled it from the furnace and added another rod clear glass to increase the size. Using a nearby pair of pliers, Honō gently pressed the rod into the heated glob, to ensure the rods melted properly and joined in with the glob instead of droping down into the furnace, wasting time and material. Soon, his Uncle returned, eyes taking in Honō's work before giving a small nod of approval and taking back over, the glass nearly ready to be taken out and worked. As his Uncle worked, Honō readied the next piece to be heated.
                              [ 2/4 ]

Honō's uncle turned to pass the heated glass to another before taking the offered material from Honō and to heat that as well. Without a word, Honō moved to the back of the forge, where they kept the raw material, and carefully dragged out a small crate of clear glass, ready for the furnace. With the material dragged out, Honō set to work once again readying the next set to be introduced into the heat by his uncle. Once it was ready, Honō turned to see his mother carefully tempering blades and setting them aside once cooled. Honō sat himself down at the table housing the glass blades, picking up the small stone they used to hone the edges of a majority of the weapons they made.
                              [ 3/4 ]

Using a piece of leather, Honō picked up one of the freshly made glass blades. Carefully balanced, the blade sat lightly in his grip, its edges bared and ready to be exposed to the specifically desiged sharpening stone. With firm, well-pace strokes, Honō began working at the finished blades, allowing his family to continue on with their more advanced tasks. Patiently, Honō worked the blades one by one, edge by edge, honing them to their family's high standards. Every so often, Honō would sit up from this task to spend a few minutes readying more glass for his uncle, to keep the machine line going smoothly.

"Honō," The teenager looked up to see his father at the staircase to their living quarters. "Come with me." He sounded... worried. Anxious. He and Honō's Auntie had been upstairs, barracading the windows and keeping the living areas warm, ready in case the electricity gave out. Reaching the first landing, Honō turned to follow his father into the main living room. The fireplace was going, and candles had been set out, ready in case of a black-out. The older male went to his sister and they exchanged serious looks before turning to Honō together. "We've decided to push your training. This snowstorm..." His father paused to look out the window, despite the curtains being drawn shut. Without the work of the forge to steal his focus and block his ears, its roar was far more eerie. Honō's auntie stepped forward, a small, gentle smile being offered to the teen.

"Let us start. Honō." Ah... "I know, your heart is peaceful, but relieve our worry, child. Learn the way of the Hari. Of your blood." Honō blinked, green eyes casting to the side for a moment. But then a particularly loud howl buffeted against the windows, rattling them violently and causing Honō to flinch and make up his mind. He nodded. "Good." She nodded. "As I do, child."

Standing before his aunt, green eyes watched her hands as she showed him the handsigns needed for him to learn. As she went through each one she named them, starting off slow as she did so. After a repeat of the process she asked Honō to copy her and name the signs, constructing a small story as she went between the signs. It was an old trick she used to teach him other aspects of life - there was a story to everything, and Honō had shown he was far more receptive to stories than to bland, step-by-step instruction. Together, with the story, they once more went through the signs, Honō picking it up with smoother movements. Then she stopped showing him, asking Honō to go through the story by himself. Unsure, without her guidance, he still managed to follow the correct steps. With his confidence boosted by this knowledge, he went through the procedure, hands steady and sure now.
                              [ 1/5 ]

"Good, good, Honō." His aunt encouraged. With his familiarity in place with the physical movements, Honō's aunt began explaining what their purpose was. As she explained it, Honō needed to summon chakra up into his hand, or even down to a foot, so as to summon from the ground before a protective sheet of glass. He needed summon his chakra - what little he had for it was no secret he was in no-way a shinobi or clan prodigy - to that desired point in his body and calmly distribute it to the ground before him, allowing it to summon the glass before him, a protective shield. With this understanding, Honō let his gaze turn distant as he turned his focus inward, trying to find his chakra to will it as needed. It was elusive, at first, a faint pulse through his lanky form. When he located it, he was gentle, coaxing it up to a shoulder and down to the tips of his finger in the left hand.
                              [ 2/5 ]

The chakra was barely a flicker, yet still he was able to get to respond. With patience, he crafted and guided it as he would the glass he often worked on. Of course, chakra naturally travelled throughout an individual's body. However, Honō required to focus it specifically as a means of balancing his less than ample chakra pool. When he felt it begining to gather at his finger tips, Honō took to one knee, head bowed but eyes remaining open, unfocused. Somewhere nearby, his aunt and father gave him quiet words of encouragement, small reminders of how to properly harness his energy. Keeping the small pool in his left hand, Honō raised both together to carefully go through the required hand signs. He found that the chakra was not disrupted, performing as he willed with complete agreement, no resistance. It had always bent to his will easily, it was just a shame there was so little. Basic, Academy-level jutsu left him exhausted so easily... With a calm exhale, Honō blinked and regained awareness of his surroundings, raising his head to look at the rattling window before him.
                              [ 3/5 ]

Flexing his hands, Honō readied himself to attempt the jutsu for a first time. Chakra flowed gently through their canals, gifting his body with their enegy. At the same time, Honō kept some of the chakra gathered at the tips of his fingers in his left hand. He raised his hands and began to go through the hand signs - only to stop when a hand layed itself on his shoulder. He paused, green eyes looking up to his father. "More chakra, son." He whispered. More? But he had so little... obviously, this was not a jutsu of the same level as he had previously been taught. Honō exhaled, nodding his head after a second of pause. So he focused once more, pulling in enough chakra to fill four fingers and thumb before condensing it down to the tips once again. He headed his father shift and step away - so that was enough chakra, then? Honō would have to take it as so.
                              [ 4/5 ]

"Remember, Honō," He heard his aunt speak quietly, her voice still cutting over the sound of the blizzard's howls. "Your chakra must be released cleanly, evenly." Honō nodded. With a breath, he went over the story in his mind once more, readying himself for the drain this would cost him. Hopefully this worry over an attack wouldn't actually occur - at least, not until he regained his breath... Swallowing excess saliva, Honō moved his hands through the hands, steady and sure, despite his worries, reliving the small tale in his mind and readying the chakra in the pads of his fingers. At the close of the story came the final sign and Honō reached forward and touched the wooden floor before him - and oh, how the chakra was suddenly gone from him, reappearing before him as a curved, pane of glass, reflecting the fire of the hearth behind him.

"Did that really take so much out of you?" Honō's aunt asked, concern lacing her voice. Honō himself was still kneeling, breathing a little heavier than normal.

"No... well, a little. Not as much as I had feared." Honō replied.

"But enough that you felt it." She deducted. After a moment she nodded and sat down next to him, summoning the glass with a handsign to condense into a cube, the size of a jack-in-a-box. Once that was sorted, she looked Honō in the eye. "There may be some exercises that could help. Like strengthening a muscle. Care to try?" Well, that would certainly make Honō feel less hesitant to use his jutsu. He nodded. "Alright. Just... calm yourself - turn your focus inward and stretch that muscle. Try." She coaxed.

                              [ Training Start : Basic Training : Meditate ]
Honō paused, a little unsure at this change in tactics. A second later, he was settling himself on the floor in a more agreeable position. Off his knee, the blood and muscles there throbbed in relief from the awkward pose. Instead, he settled down on his rear, with legs folded underneath, in a traditional, formal pose. But it was one he felt comfortable in, less exposed. He was told it reminded someone of him being a spring, wound up on itself but without any pressure yet to cause it strain. But ready, all the same, for the weight to fall. And it was in this reassuring position that he closed his eyes and turned his focus inwards, starting with the pacing and depth of his breathing.
                              [ 1/5 ]

Slow, calm, breathing, the sort he used to aid him in falling asleep at night. Deep, down through his core, filling him. He focused on this until it became natural, until he no-longer needed to will it to happen because his body had fallen into the rhythm, and his heart had slowed to accomadate for the calmer intake of oxygen. It took time, although the exact measurement was lost to Honō - as was, slowly, the sounds of the outside world. When Honō first started he would find micro-tensions would react to particularly loud bangs at the windows shuttered against the blizzard, and there was an awareness to the rhythm of the work being done downstairs. But it was white noise now, lost to the pulse of his blood, and his chakra.
                              [ 2/5 ]

It took so long, but finally Honō was able to find his inner focus. Unaware of the presence of his aunt and father, the two, satisfied with his apparant loss of awareness, moved to continue with household chores and precautions against the blizzard. Honō remained with legs folded beneath him, gently running his awareness over the streams of chakra moving through him, getting familiar with them, with their pace and corners. And as he followed the way it spread through him, he learned more and more. Honō had never really explored his chakra this way before - it was something novel, something new. So he got distracted, examining the coursing chakra as he would a delicate new creation from the forge. Ah, but that wasn't what was needed, was it? Useful, in some way, he was sure. But not exactly how. His aunt said 'stretch the muscle.' So, to stretch a muscle is to use it.
                              [ 3/5 ]

Returning the central core of his chakra, Honō observed, learning the rhythm and how it swirled and spread, how it pooled in return. From there, Honō began to toy at it, plucking and petting, to feel how it moved to his will, to try and find the ways it would resist. The toying was gentle, slow, at first. Nothing more than testing prouds and reassuring strokes. It reacted like an old friend, a pet for its long awaited return of a master. It was willing and responsive, completely obedient. Odd. Honō's instructors at the Academy referred to times when chakra was meant to be... tricky? He couldn't quite recall - it was something inferred while on the discussion of how chakra could be wasted when using jutsu? Ah, he had barely paid attention - barely believing he'd ever graduate. Still, maybe his chakra's so-called 'willingness' would spill out like water from between his fingers when he attempted jutsu?
                              [ 4/5 ]

Honō toyed with the chakra in his core by pulling some free, condensing it into a ball elsewhere in his body, keeping it tight, controlled, and he waited. The chakra stayed, neither resisting his will nor apparently harming what was around it. Even as Honō deliberatly allowed his attention to divert slightly to observe how the rest of his chakra was behaving - flowing normally, as if unnaffected by the withdrawel from its reserves - the amount Honō had taken from its natural path stayed. Without leaking away or destabilising. It was... reassuring. That chakra was as responsive to his calm touch as glass.

Honō breathed a large sigh as he released the chakra back into his system, breaking his meditative trance. It was a few long seconds before he opened his eyes, feeling ready to sleep. The warm embrace of the nearby hearth was only encouraging it. But the scents of his father's cooking was... mhm, he hadn't eaten for a while, was it dinner time?

    Aspects
    Strengths:
    • Evironmental Lens:
Ia able to accurately estimate the weaknesses and viable exploits in the
surrounding environment. Be it the stabilising pebble at the base of the wall,
or the angle needed to fell a tree where needed.

    • Soldering Teammate:
Honō will support his teammates by means of supplying weapons, tripping
up the opponent, or manipulating the environment to his allies' advantage.
Honō will watch his teammate(s) to get familiar with their tells, thus
becoming more and more accurate in reading their intentions.

    • Sleek Steps:
Due to his training in the Hari clan, Honō has no difficulty traversing slippery
    surfaces, even over uneven terrain.

    • Latticino Hands
Honō's work has gained him steady hands and the ability to perform minute,
detailed work. Finicky work, such as the setting up even the most intricate
traps, holds less trouble for him.

    Weaknesses:
    • Cracks:
Honō was never trained for proper combat, and as such has a tendency to
flee instead of fight, especially when out numbered. When hit with an attack,
his urge to flee only increases.

    • Jewelled:
Honō's choice in clothing marks him out from other shinobi; restricting his
movements slightly and hindering most chances at stealth.

    • Fragility:
Trained in his work instead of his responsibilities as a shinobi, Honō lacks
the strength most individuals garner from their everyday training.

    Fears:
    • Broken Shards:
Knowing he isn't the most skilled shinobi in the village, Honō fears his
teammates will leave him behind if he fails to meet their expectations.

    • Shattered:
Honō was never the strongest, or masculine, individual in Kumo. He fears
this makes him a target of assault; verbal or physical. Whenever he leaves
the workshop he is constantly anxious and alert of his surroundings,
misreading the words and reactions of the people around him to negatively
    apply to him.

    Class Disciplines :
    Legendary Smith
The user is able to gain a 5th title rank from every applicable smithing tree. 'Training' for Legendary takes 10 posts of crafting work, provides an additional 1 post off of crafting times, and gives a Grandmaster NPC (of the same area) for usage. In addition, any item solo crafted (without an npc helper) is non-reproducible by non-Legendary titled smiths.

    Balanced Master
Any jutsu learned can be paid for with either chakra, stamina, or a mix of the two. Any further chakra types are also subject to this. Recovery amounts for chakra and stamina are doubled while working, and working counts as relaxing.

    Lifetime Disciple
This discipline is for those wishing to gain from a lifetime master, never to be one themselves until their master is deceased. Gaining knowledge from over the course of their studies, the disciple will receive twice the benefits from each of their master's smithing trees (up to their completed titles), while in the living presence of them. After their master's death, they will successfully pass on a permanent, one-quarter of the benefit to their own Lifetime Disciple, if any. (round up to the nearest applicable number, as designated in the smithing thread)

    Reductions:
    • N/A

    Personal Attributes:
    • A Natural's Touch:
After long study and a certain knack at birth, Honō has what many people call a "natural talent" for creation of glass objects. Because of this, every third creation is exceptionally superb, granting a 50% increase to profits made from that item.

    • Black Glass Mentality:
Honō's years of training with Katon [ Fire ] jutsu and glassmaking and mainpulation jutsu has helped him learn a deeper understanding of volcanic glass. As such, his experiments with enchanting any volcanic glass with Gellal has been cut by half.

    Honō Hokori
[ "A shinobi who succumbs to their nature is a shinobi lesser than I." ]

Dinner would be some time, and Honō had more training to undergo.
Honō rolled his shoulders gently, mindful of the layers of material wrapped across his chest. Beads chimed gently, but he didn't need instruction from his family to know he should continue his efforts.

                                  [ Training Start : Basic Training : Meditation ]
With eyes drifting shut, Honō had to fight off the urge to let his head tilt forward and nod off. It was just so... soothing. And the adrenalin rush, from when the blizzard had suddenly hit their store, only encouraged the nap now. Pulling his shoulders back, Honō kept his chin up, and returned focus on blocking out all outside stimuli, including his own physical discomforts, to find his chakra and exercise it properly once more. Honō found it to be a curious process - it was far easier to ignore the discomfort in his knees than it was the growing aromas from the kitchen. Indeed, even the sounds of the storm outside were getting duller, less intrusive, in his mind, yet still supper was persistant in his attention. Eventually, like with all things, his breathing exercises began to work out the unneccasary stimuli for this training.
                                  [ 1/5 ]

It was some, unmeasured, time later that Honō was finaly able to fully drag his attention to the task at hand. Mind calm and body settled. Honō went to his chakra, easier this time after having spent so much of it previously in just mapping out their tracks throughout his being. And nor did he feel so much of a desire to map it out this time either, his figurative hands easily cupping his chakra and pulling a small drop of it away from the main source - and, yes! It has! It feels... stronger. Tired, from use, but it felt more vibrant? Hard to describe. But noticeable, especially when there was so little for it to hold at a time previously. So this 'stretching the muscle' thing worked? It... made sense. In a way. Feeling boosted by this, Honō was eager to roll and thumb the chakra caught in his will. Feeling it to be of no... 'stretch' to his already small limits, Honō began pulling more from the puddle.
                                  [ 2/5 ]

Would, one day, that puddle of chakra become a pond? Such a strange thought to have when Honō had all but given up on such a thing. He'd rather keep to his work anyway, to be honest. Still, he noticed his work helping in this matter - he stretched and rolled the chakra as if it was molten glass. Turning his control over the tongs and clamps to that of how he weilded the energy inside him. As though constructing some ornamental piece, Honō kept pulling in small stranges from the original source, building the bauble up as he turned and rotated it, allowing the natural weight of itself to pull a shape to its form, making it unique and revealing to Honō its properties. Inside of him, at least. Was all chakra like molten glass? Or was it a side-effect of his lessons in the art of glass-blowing, or an inate ability from his clan? Part of him... didn't want to know. It appeared behaved to him - for him. That will do.
                                  [ 3/5 ]

With enough chakra collected to start being noticed by the rest of his body, Honō began toying with it with greater control. He restricted it, prevented it from dropping or slipping away. There was obviously its own will - the way he played with it earlier only showed that to him. But, because he had allowed it to move of its own accord, to weigh it and watch how it reacted, Honō had a greater idea now on how far he could go before it began to push the material's limits. But this was chakra - so, while it held a will, its limits were still yet to be fully explored. Honō couldn't condense the glass with his hands, make it... 'tighter', but he could with chakra. Coil it, compress it, twist it and hold it - all without worry about how it would cool, retaining its shape while still malleable. Chakra was always malleable - Honō just had to maintain the will to keep it.
                                  [ 4/5 ]

Honō began actually shapping it now - pulling strands as he did crafting glass sculptures, minus the clamps and tools, using only his will and concentration. Strands were pulled, slender and curling, following a simple pattern repeated over on itself. It was similar to one of the first training sessions he had as a glass-blower. Something he could recal with detail. And so he envisioned it, and held it, even as it rotated to his desire, Honō kept it whole and unchanging. And Honō kept rotating it, as though inspecting it with figurative hands, twirling it to check its integrity - though its 'integrity' was wholly dependent on sheer mentality alone. But it held. He didn't know how long he kept at it for, but the chakra held its form.

    Aspects

Wan's rapid succession of strikes to the ground successfully cracked the strange, glowing stone, and from that crack erupted a fine mist that quickly began to fill the immediate area, even after the thing was shoved into the quiver at Wan's side. The longer they sat in the mist, unbeknownst to them, the less they felt like doing anything. For all but Wan, thanks to Zangai, apathy began to rule their emotions, drained of emotions, taking away the will to do about anything but lie down and do nothing. A couple moments later, it stopped, and the fog dissipated about as quickly as it came.

"I am the sword in the Darkness...

The mist brought Axel’s drive to fight to the surface once more, he looked around and saw none of those creatures and sighed. The young chunin also felt anger bubble over the fact that the giant had crushed the gem, his gem, to the point that he felt his hand tighten on the hilt of his blade, but ultimately, he would do nothing against the man, knowing well that a blow from a creature of his size would surely end him. He then cleared his throat. “You two,” he said, referring to Toso and Rin. “Go back a few blocks, there’s a house without a door, make sure that the women that were inside are fine, take them to the hospital, it’ll be warm there for them, likewise survey the area and make sure that everyone is fine. Gather any and all frozen people in the same place, they deserve a proper burial once this ordeal is done. As for me, I’m going to survey the area, make sure none of those devils are still around to harm anyone. For now, that’s an order, unless anyone tells you to do otherwise.” His hand instinctively lead his blade on to its sheath, but then he remembered there was none, and now the blade was too long for his hold, so he would have to get a new one later, but for now, he placed the blade on his belt, letting the cross guard hold it steady and in place. The redhead turned to face the two genin who he had given orders to and nodded to them, unsure if they would in fact follow his orders or not, he didn’t care anyway, should they not do it he would return and do it himself, after he destroyed at least one more of these things, never before. Then, he turned his back on them and went up into a building, all the way to the roof, where he could see the entirety of the streets bellow him. Axel jumped from one building to the next, scanning the area, all around him, until finally, he saw one of those ice creatures moving toward the gates of the village. Axel gritted his teeth and followed it, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, until it was low enough for him to jump down onto the streets. From there, he would shadow the creature.
