As Revenge examines the humanoid figure he is quite certain it is dead, having been crushed by the boulder that fell on it. He is able to identify it as the body of an Ilithid. Though he had heard about them before, this (I am assuming) is the first time he has ever laid eyes upon one in person. It is still every bit as terrifying dead as it must have been alive. However, Irene looks mesmerized. She would ask, her voiced tinged with excitement. "Is...is this a Mind flayer?"
As Ilikan exams the surrounding area he finds nothing more of interest in the desolate rubble. There are no more bodies to be found, which seems odd considering the size of the battle that must have took place here. Even if they had been scavenged by creatures some remnants of the remains would have remained. It seems, like the religious relics, they must have been removed. However, as Ilikan moves pass the chief's hall one more time he notices something he didn't before. The gouges in the floor, the dirt there, was only just recently disturbed. In fact is almost looks like...
As Ruin walks around the edge of the room to the door on the east he does not sense anything magical in the area . As he tries to open the door he finds that it is locked. He then hears a loud noise behind him as he is engulfed by a large shadow. A massive creature had burst from gouge in the floor nearest to him. It looked like a cross between a gorilla and stag beetle. Its four beedy eyes focus on the small tiefling. It looks hungry.

"Mind Flayer? Why not squid with legs?" Asked Valac prodding the corpse with his boot. He was about to take out a dagger to give a proper alive or not test when the creature burst from the shadows and Valac turned to face it.
You wouldn't be related to Kouri or Ying by any chance?" Ruin would ask blantly... just to check...

Valac's eyes lit up as he heard the familiar noises of a fight about to kick off. He drew his vanguard blade and rushed into the drinking hall stopping next to Kuori.
Seeing the cause of all the ruckus Valac tapped Kuori with the back of his hand and said, "That's a big bug, no wonder you all grow so big. Need to squash big bugs. Mind if I take a stab at it first?"

Illikan frowns at the dirt, looking around and following the gouges around the room until- well, it wasn't quite expected when the creature burst up by the tiefling, but it wasn't precisely a surprise either.
Pulling his hammer from the thong on his belt, the soldier moved quickly, focusing on navigating past and around the obstructions on the floor to make his way over to it before it could charge Ruin down alone- banging his hammer against his shield, raising a ruckus as he approached it with the barrier raised just below eye level and let off a surge of the primal energy- no attacks yet, but moving to make it clear that if it wanted to tangle, it would be dealing with a proper scrap, not an ambush.
"Now now, eyes over here. The lot of them."

And suddenly, Valac was off in a flash, and Ilikan hurried inside right after the Barbarian.
"Ilikan! ILIKAN!" Revenge would call out with annoyance as Human 1 just upped and abandoned his duty to protect Human 2.
"Ugh. Sorry about that, Irene. You know how adventurers can be," Revenge would say to the young girl, before sighing dramatically.
FREE ACTION + MINOR ACTION
"Let's stay here a moment until we know the full scope of what's going on," he'd explain. He would drop the everburning torch in his dominant hand, before drawing his longsword.
MOVE ACTION
"Actually..." he'd add, turning to look at the MuthaFuggin' Illithid's broken body, "Let's... just get a few feet away from that."

"The Umber hulk fixes Ilikan with with a look as if he understands his primal challenge and, with a roar, lashes out at him with his monstrous for arms. However, only one of the blows manages to hit. (10 damage)
As if spurred on by their companion's roar two more of the monstrous creatures erupt out of the disturbed dirt in the floor. One of them fixes Ilikan with its four eyes and he feels a strange hypnotic pulse emanate from them, drawing him towards it. (Ilikan is slid to N24 and is dazed until the end of the UH3's next turn. ) The umber hulk then lases out at Ilikan with both his claws but only manages to hit him once (13 Damage).
The other umber hulk that emerged from the ground near Ruin fixes his four eyes on him. The tiefling feels the same hypnotic and in a confused stupor wanders over next to him (Ruin is dazed unti the ends of UH2's next turn.) The umber hulk swipes at Ruin with his claws, hitting him once. (13 Damage)
Irene, who was in the middle of lifting the Mind Flayer's tentacles to peer at its mouth, drops them and stand up next to Revenge. "Alright, if you say so..." Irene would move behind Revenge. (BB15) The paladin could see her craning her neck to try and see what was going on inside the building.

"Someone give me a Plan A, 'fore I make a living burnt offering out of Ying's cousins." Ruin called out drawing on Illikan's 1st pain.

Kuori recognized the creatures through drawings she had seen, but had never had the misfortune to encounter an Umber Hulk, one thing she remembered, "Don't look into their eyes!" but it was too late, Ruin had been taken in. <********. Group up guys." She fires a beam of light at UH2, "Valac, Revenge, we need to get in there. If I can get to that middle one, I can shield us and knock them down in one fell swoop." She starts to make her way in, "Seeing as Illikan and Ruin claimed the other two, you want the middle one Valac? I just need to be nearby." Once she has moved in a little bit she squared up with UH 1, knowing she had put herself in harms way. She then sends a prayer of good will toward Illikan. "Kuliak, keep them safe."

"Pretty eyes..." The tiefling felt a warm alluring pull about staring into the creature's eyes. It could have been divine light that drove him out or...
Ruin jumped back one square as he released an orb of prismatic colors at the creature. "... but, Illya's has you beat. So, Right back at ya!"

At Kuori's command a column of burning radiant energy comes down from the ceiling but the Umberhulk sees it coming and manages to dodge at the last minute. However, it is not so lucky when it comes to the prismatic orb lobbed at it by the the tiefling hexblade. The Umber hulk is truck directly in it face by the burning light and looks dazzled by it.
"I don't need your permission to kill Ilk!"Shouted Valac as he scrambled through the rubble then charged at the umber hulk howling like an animal. Bringing his vanguard blade down upon the creature.
Illikan positioned the shield staving off several of the strikes from the creature until one hit his armor, drawing blood with a wince. "What's a Y-" he starts, trying to work out the best way to get over to Ruin and provide him a wall from the gathering hunters when the other catches his eye- and a wave of dizziness washes over him, mind blanking for a moment only to find himself moving toward the creature.
Blinking rapidly, trying to refocus, he takes the second blow with a grunt as Valac and Kuori take up alongside.Rather than fighting to get back over to the other, Illikan surges with the power again, staking his claim on the new one and tightens his grip on his hammer and swung for the mandibles- he'd need to get his focus back before he could figure out a way to group them up off of Ruin so he could try to pin them.
