Emily stepped forward and put the tape in.
A title screen came up saying 'Carrasquillo Home Videos'.
Scene 1: A scene of the day Travis was born. Both his parents, still married at the time, smiled as they named their first, and only, child.
Scene 2: Various clips of Travis' earliest days, with events such as his first words and when he learned to walk. His mom was present more then his dad in these vids.
Scene 3: Travis' first day of school. His mom had a cellphone to her ear as she smiled, waving to her son as he timidly walked into a pre-school. His dad was there also, but a silent tension could be felt between Travis' parents.
Scene 4: The day that Travis' parents adopted Isaac and Tobias. Travis looked curiously at his new 'brothers'. His father was present, the tension between him and his wife stronger.
Scene 5: Travis' mom playing with then 3-years old Isaac and Tobias, though there were tear marks from a fight she recently had with her husband, which she never told the kids about. Travis walks in, asking his mom if she could help him with some homework. She merely shooes him away.

Jen watched the video curiously, despite how long they had been friends, and that they were dating now, Jen couldn't recall a time either of them had really talked about their family lives.

Scene 6: Travis' mom is working at her desk. Travis, about a year older than the last scene, walks in shyly. He quietly, timidly, asks why he hasnt seen his dad around recently. His mom snaps at him to shut up and 'never speak about that b*****d'. Travis winces and quickly leaves the room, convinced in his young age that he had done something wrong. His mother silently turns back to her work. She is no longer wearing a wedding ring.
Scene 7: Travis standing in front of a science project in a middle-school fair. The shaky camera angles tells that the person behind the camera isnt a professional. "Isaac, can you try and hold it a bit steadier?" Travis says politely to the cameraman. Isaac just sighs explosively, mutters an insult about Travis, and roughly puts the camera on the table for Travis' project, then leaves into the crowd. Travis sighs and looks around, as if hoping to see someone.
Scene 8: Later that day of the same fair. The sun is setting as everyone is leaving. Travis can be seen dumping his project, a sophisticated model of human DNA, into a nearby trash can. He walks back to the camera and roughly picks it up, his shoulders shaking slightly with silent sobs as he starts walking home. The walk was over 4 miles, but he had to, since his parents never showed up, and they had been the ones supposed to pick him up.

Natsumi continued to silently watch, eyes widening slightly. She didn't know Travis had such a terrible childhood. She felt so sorry for him.

Scene 9: Travis finally getting home from the fair. He walks past the theater on his way to his room, stopping when he hears noises from inside. He looks inside and sees his mom watching a comedy with Isaac and Tobias. The camera started trembling slightly as anger built up inside Travis, then the camera fell to the ground, and Travis' angry, receding footprints could be heard quickly hurrying away. None of the three watching the movie notice this.
Scene 10: Travis' graduation from middle school. The camera angle was a bit lopsided, though, as if lazily supported with one hand, the other hand busy. The person holding the camera, Travis' mother, could be heard talking about work on a cellphone, even as Travis' name is called as one of the head students of his grade. After the ceremony, Travis' mom is either talking on the phone, or talking to other parents, even as Travis tries to get her attention. Eventually, shoulders slumped, he mutters that he'll wait in the car, and leaves. His mother doesnt even seem to notice.

Natsumi watched, feeling sad and angry inside. She was mad at how terrible Travis's family had treated him. And she felt sad for him, too.

Travis didnt appear as a main focus in the next few scenes, because at that point, he had started locking himself in his room whenever he got the chance. He could, however, be seen occasionally as he passed through whatever room they camera was in at the time. He tried his best to hide his emotions, and was largely successful, except for his eyes, which the camera got a view of every now and then. The main focus in these clips was usually Isaac and Tobias.
Scene 18: Travis attempting for the first time in about a year or two to try and get his mother's attention by showing her a small robot he had started working on. She merely complimented him disinterestedly and turned back to what he was doing. For a brief moment it could be told that Travis had to hold in his feelings, then he turned and stiffly walked away.
Scene 19: Travis doesnt appear as a main focus, but in the background, he could be seen in the mansion's kitchen, making a sandwich. His gaze stops briefly on a nearby set of knives. A dangerous and depressed expression enters his face, tears forming as he starts reaching for one of the knives. He stops, shakes his head, and runs from the kitchen, leaving the snack he had been making behind. His foster brothers and mother, again the center of attention, don't notice.

Natsumi's eyes widened when she saw the expression on Travis's face when he reached for one of the knives. How the hell can they do that to him!? she thought angrily about his family. She held back the tears that began to come to her eyes. It was just so sad.

Jen gasped watching the last scene. She felt tears begin to roll down her cheeks, quicly wiping them away before they fell on her Travis. Although she wasn't made, she wished he had shared more of his feelings with her. “not that I blame him, I hid a lot too,” Jen whispered to herself.
Josh, although he didn't care for Travis, felt sad as well. He also figured this was none of his buisness, so he left the room to give the group some privacy.

The next few scenes were of Travis after he and Jen started dating, though there were a few like the old scenes where Travis only appeared in the background, and those had occured when Jen wasn't around. In the scenes where he was with Jen though, Travis was genuinely happy, something that hadnt shown on him for about 10 years.
After that, the camera angles switched to the mansion's security cameras, with only a few from the camera that the rest of the scenes had been shot with...

Jen gave a little smile when she saw Travis happy once more. Though she was still infuriated with his family. She pet his head a bit and gave him a slight hug.

Natsumi was glad to see that Travis was happy when he was with Jen. She began to wonder what would've happened if Travis didn't have Jen. She shook her head a bit, not wanting to think about it.

Scene 27: *security cameras of mansion* Travis and Jen after their first time, and the immediately following events, including Isaac telling Jen's parents where Jen and Travis were, and when Travis fainted, hitting his head and falling into a coma. Scene 28: *normal camera* Travis' mom coming home from a day at work about a week later. She is only now wondering where Travis is, as she doesnt know about the incident yet. She asks Isaac and Tobias, and they tell her about the incident. She makes a call to the hospital to arrange to pay for the medical bills. None of the next several scenes at the mansion, each with the normal camera, have any mention about Travis from his mom or foster brothers as they go on with their lives. A changing time-code shows the amount of time that passes. Scene 32: *hospital security camera* Travis waking up from his coma five months after the events in scene 27. This scene includes the following events in the hospital. The scene ends once Jen and Travis enter her car and leave the parking lot. Scene 33: *mansion's security cameras* Travis finding out how long he had been out, and his following rampage, ending as he loads his SUV with the lab equipment and drives away from the mansion. After that, though it still had footage to go through, the tape cut out, the rest of the film too badly damaged to be read by the VCR. Emily didn't know what to say."No wonder he's the Shadowsoul, with a childhood like that..." Alzar said to no one in particular.(the remaining footage is all the stuff that happened to him afterwards and what his family did, including the time Travis was recently gone in the shadow realm, though I will reveal later how the video can be restored) (and a random song, just to hopefully lighten the mood maybe...) (and that has to have been my longest post ever, even counting when I first started RPing, and constantly did paragraph posts, before i had to shorten them due to too many RPs...)
