I kinda feel sorry for the Georgian team though. That athlete that died is around the same age as my sister and one of my best friends, so my heart goes out to his friends, family and teammates crying

I'm also worried about the people investigation they're conducting on the luge track right now. If something does turn out, this could really trash Canada's reputation.

But for now, I hope that his dream of competing in the olympics never die out.

Yes, it was a very sad day. T___T My heart goes out too.

But I think it was very honorable that the team still walked in the Parade.
And lots of people wore black armbands in honor of him.

They say that it wasn't the track's fault. So that's... good? bad?
I'm not sure.

It means that Canada doesn't get blamed, but it was the guys own fault.

Holy cows. When the PM of Canada started speaking "French", I laughed so hard. He's from Canada, right? Why did he slaughter it?

I'm pretty sure our PM didn't speak the whole time. I think the guy you're thinking of was from the olympic representative committee, and yes, he did butcher the french.. "un ekip" (une equipe) that made me laugh.

I usually watch the summer olympics more religiously, but I'll watch the winter ones when a sport comes on that I like. But that story about the luger who died was tragic. I'm a little shocked that they actually showed the video of such a traumatic death, though. It seemed a little more graphic than what the news usually shows. *shrugs* Just my opinion.

Yeah, it was pretty weird. And, after about ten minutes, I got really sick of the projector.

It's only the second day and the games are already so exciting! I turned on ym TV and speed skating was just about to start and I was blown away by apolo ohno from the USA. He was so good! blew away all teh others at the last minute when he came from behind and even laped the guy from france!I was screaming! I am so glad to be an american!

When that giant polar bear popped out in the ceremony, I thought "Wow Kumajirou, Canada must have forced you to use steroids and glitter just for this! " xd
