Max:"Hey Kor,I Just Got A Zigzagoon,How Did My Treeco And Wingull's Fight Go?

Zane walked around Route 101, observing and taking notes on the pokemon who inhabited the area. Eventually, he sat down against a tree and took notes on a nearby group of Wurmple. Eventually, Torchic began to get bored, so she angrily pecked Zane on the hand. "Ouch! What's wrong Torchic?" Zane asked, setting his notebook and pen down." Torchic jumped around a bit and cheered. "Oh, you're getting bored, huh?" Zane said, "Well then, how about we find a pokemon to battle?" Torchic cheered.

Zane and Torchic scouted the area for a wild pokemon to battle, eventually setting their eyes on a pokemon Zane recognized as a Starly. Zane pulled out his Hoenn dex to get some information on Starly before the battle. when Zane pointed the pokedex towards the bird, it spoke, "No data found." Zane grinned, "Starly ust be one of the pokemon who are new to the Hoenn region. Let's catch him, Torchic!" "Torchic! Chic!"


Zane pointed at the Starly and commanded his Torchic to use Scratch on the Starly. Torchic ran towards the flying bird, jumped up, and scratched him in midair. Torchic then landed back on the ground. Starly then swooped down at Torchic with a Quick Attack. "Torchic, try and dodge!" Zane knew that because of Torchic's ability, her speed was increased after using Scratch, so Torchic might be able to dodge Starly's attack. Unfortunately, Starly was still too fast, and hit Torchic head on with a Quick Attack, knocking him back into a nearby tree.

"It's alright Torchic, just use another Scratch on Starly before he flies back into the air!" Torchic speedily ran towards Starly and scratched him, pounding Starly to the ground. Starly quickly got back and flew into the air, turned around, and dove at Torchic with a Peck attack. "Torchic, stay where you are, just use Ember as Starly approaches!" Torchic faced Starly and shot a series of Embers at the approaching Starly. "Now, Torchic," Zane said excitedly, "Use Scratch on Starly just before he hits you!" Torchic nodded and, as instructed, hit Starly with a powerful Scratch attack before his Peck attack could hit, sending Starly to the ground fainted.


"Nice job, Torchic, we did it!" Torchic gave a cheer before running to Zane and giving him a hug. "Now, time to welcome Starly to our team. Pokeball!" Zane threw a pokeball at the fainted Starly. The Pokeball opened up and enclosed Starly inside. It wiggled a few times and eventually made a "dinging" noise, signaling a successful capture.

Zane sent Starly from his pokeball and, along with Torchic, welcomed it to the team.

Zane continued to travel along Route 101, only to stop once he was near Oldale Town. Zane then spent the next few hours studying wild pokemon and training his Torchic and Starly. Once the sun was starting to set, Starly's stomach began to growl. The three of them laughed. "Alright," Zane said, packing his notebook and pen into his backpack, "Let's go to he pokecenter to get us some dinner."

Zane and his pokemon entered Oldale Town and walked up to the front desk. "Hello, how may I help you?" Nurse Joy said with a smile. "Hi, would you mind healing my pokemon?" Nurse Joy smiled at Torchic and Starly, "Not at all. Blissey, are you here? Would you mind using Softboiled on these pokemon?" A Blissey walked from the back room over to Zane's pokemon and healed them using Softboiled.

Zane and his pokemon then entered the diner within the Pokecenter and ate some dinner. Afterward, there was little time left in the day, so Zane figured he'd spend the rest of the day training his pokemon.

Zane headed over to Route 103 for some evening training.
