Sypher stared at Apollo as the man paused and then took a deep breath before his hands dipped into his pockets. He drew out several shuriken, going for an easy attack right now. He moved closer, running swiftly and close to the ground before launching the weapons at his Sensei.

Sypher's feet moved quickly as he spun and water formed in his hands, sharpening to a blade that connected solidly with Apollo's. He'd learned quite a few tricks, like performing hand signs with his feet and how to move quickly "Talking during a fight will give away the position of all opponents. Its best to refrain from bragging, Sensei." Sypher said softly and his free hand moved out quickly, using his bloodline to pull a spike from under his skin. His hand, the spike several inches out, came at Apollo's side now that he was closer. A killing blow if the spike was sharpened but it was blunt, like a fist. His footing moved as well and Sypher spun slightly, pushing hard at his blade as it scraped against Apollo's.

Sypher's blade slammed into the ground so he abandoned it, letting it melt into the ground as he accepted the blow. His stomach tightened and he absorbed the blow, allowing it to disperse throughout his body as he was flung backwards Bigger. he thought as he stood again, clearing his throat. He shook off the residual effects of absorbing the blow and brought his hands together then slapped them on the ground. Tamaishi Danmaku wasn't the easiest technique he could have used but it would allow him to keep his distance from the larger man. The pebbles and rocks from the ruins rose up, many not much bigger than his fist, and surged at Apollo. The move was intended to hamper his vision as Sypher once more activated his bloodline. Wood, thick heavy beams, rose up around Apollo's feet and lashed at his ankles to trap him.

Sypher felt the hair rise on his body and he immediately began signing multiple times. A wall of rocks rose up but it wouldn't be enough Aaaaah! Shoot! Sypher's hands went into a blur and he shouted "Tenchi! Rock controlling wing!" a falcon, huge in size, slammed into the ground in front of Sypher and his meager rock wall. The wall surged upward into a huge defense as the falcon flapped its wings, deflecting Apollo's attack "Thank you, Tenchi." he put his hand on the large falcon and it nodded to him, looking at Apollo "Um...Sensei, I'm a summoner as well. Bird sage." he said meekly, clearly ashamed of not telling his sensei.

Sypher was red faced as his sensei stared up at Tenchi, not sure if the man was impressed or angry or stunned. Tenchi had puffed himself up in order to appear even bigger than he was, his attempts to protect Sypher clear from the defiant gaze that he fixed on Apollo. "It was supposed to be. I didn't want to use them until later but...that attack was really powerful." he said.

Sypher nodded and Tenchi immediately took off, soaring away while throwing dirty looks back at Apollo. He swallowed as Apollo charged him and his feet dug into the dirt. The flicker of Apollo's blade coming at his side caught his attention from the corner of Sypher's eye and he twisted, one hand slapping the side of the blade to parry it. He didn't compensate for the wind though and slid back several feet, going to one knee as he did Ha... he signed quickly and his sword reappeared in his hand, the water becoming hard as steel again Ju Suto. Soin. he rushed forward and his blade slammed into the ground, cracking it and sending chunks flying as he jerked it up. He used the momentum of striking the ground to double his power and spun sharply to strike at Apollo's neck. His blade was turned so it was flat but the blow would throw his sensei off balance if it landed.

Sypher looked over his shoulder as his sword fell back to water "What was that? That move." he asked, completely disregarding his loss. He was more interested in how Apollo kept appearing and disappearing and how he'd destroyed his sword. Sypher wiped his hands on his pants as he turned to face his sensei.

Sypher was silent for a moment then a strange coldness entered his eyes, that distrust he'd held for Apollo returning "Life or death? This was a spar. A spar to test how far I've come not to kill me and keep me from going any further." he said, his hands tight at his side. He took in everything that Apollo had said about the technique he'd used but it was clear the boy was becoming as cold as when the two had first met. Apollo's last comment had dug up sharp betrayal from his past, from people telling things one way and doing them another.
