[From Hot Springs]
Muscles relaxed, Kouhei entered from the hot springs. Unfortunately, all of the other training grounds had been taken so Kouhei would have to make do with teaching his student through normal locations throughout the village. The cafe hadn't changed much in Kouhei's absence, and he was glad that he could still sit down and have a bowl of ramen like the good old days. His student was following him, and so Kouhei took a seat at a table next to the window and gestured for his student to follow him. The window was cracked, broken. A waitress came by, and Kouhei ordered a bowl of ramen. It reminded him of the old days, when he would come here with his brother as a youngin'. They would each order a bowl of ramen, however his brother was always so much more outgoing than he... It happened that instead of both of them ordering, it was always his brother ordering for both of them. That was how it always was... With his brother taking the lead and Kouhei following as little more than a silent shadow. This whole village brought back those memories, and sometimes Kouhei wondered if Shuuhei had ever come back, just for old time's sake...
When the bowl of ramen came, Kouhei began to eat it. His eating was fast, as he hadn't eaten much when he was in recluse. Having this warm bowl of noodles was like finally being home... It took him only a few moments to finish the bowl, and he leaned back in his chair quite satisfied. From his pocket, he produced his kiseru and a match. He lit the match, then put the flame into the kiseru and shook the match out. A long breath in from the thin pipe, and then he pulled it from his mouth and breathed out the smoke. "Uchiha, look through the window." There were people passing by as Kouhei commanded this, and the window caused their images to be distorted. He put the kiseru back to his lips and waited to see what his student would say to this.

He set down his kiseru on the table and looked the Genin in the eye. "I didn't ask how many there were, I asked how many you see." Kouhei decided to elaborate upon the point he was trying to get across. Tapping the glass, he tapped the body of the first man. "1." he said flatly. Then he tapped the head of that same man. Thanks to the distortion of the glass, it appeared as though it was a completely different person. "2." Next was the legs of that same man. "3." Now to the second man. Kouhei tapped the upper part of that man's body, head and torso. "4." Then the legs. "5." The final person was a woman. Kouhei gestured to her head. "6." Finally, the rest of her body. "7."
Kouhei leaned back and picked up his kiseru once more, taking another smoke. He hoped that it was clear the point he was trying to make. Genjutsu wasn't about what was in front of a person, but about what they thought was in front of them. The average Shinobi, with this technique in effect, would react as though there are seven people moving independently. And that is where the advantage is... Not being able to peace together things quickly and having an understanding of how to properly distort the image. Seeing past Genjutsu was one thing, but being able to understand how another person would be thrown off by it was completely different, and was the difference between an amateur and a skilled Genjutsu user, in Kouhei's eyes.
Having completed that lesson, Kouhei ordered a cup of tea from the passing waitress and thought about how to go about teaching his student the next technique. It was obvious that this Genin wasn't a fool when it came to seeing past illusions, so Kouhei would have to force him into learning the techniques in Kouhei's "special" manner. When the cup of tea came, Kouhei set it on the table in front of him and began instructing his student. "Now close your eyes." Once his student's eyes were close, Kouhei would continue, "Reach forward to touch just the rim of the cup."

For the second time today, Kouhei entered the restaurant ((cafe... same difference >.<)) The same people as earlier were on duty, and Kouhei received some unusual looks for coming in again so shortly after he had earlier. Hardly an hour had passed, and here he was with another person not far behind him. This time, there was no real reason for Kouhei to place himself near the window, and so he simply took the nearest seat with another open seat next to it. Yokai would hopefully understand that, since Kouhei was showing him around, he had picked the seat near another open seat so that they would sit next to each other... Since Kouhei felt that often times people pointed out the obvious too much, he didn't give unnecessary directions and did a lot of assuming when it came to people doing what he expected. Today especially he didn't have enough energy to give unnecessary directions. Even if he was fascinated by this mysterious man's story.
When asked what to order, Kouhei simply held up his hand to signify that he didn't want anything. From his pocket, Kouhei once more pulled his kiseru and a match. A flame crackled on the match, and he lit the kizami within the pipe before shaking the match out. While Yokai was being waited on, Kouhei put the kiseru to his lips for a moment before removing it and breathing out the smoke. Then, he simply held it in his hand and watched the behavior of the mysterious man.

| 鬼 | Yokai says,
"This is a restaurant?" Yokai stared at it in surprise as he came in. He looked around at the people who were in there, noting how they looked at Kouhei Does he come here a lot? he wondered, taking a seat by Kouhei. He was more interested in what Kouhei had then the waiter but "Uhm...I-I don't know...uh...what's good?" he fumbled as the waiter asked him what he wanted. The man frowned and ran off a list of foods that only served to confuse Yokai more "Uh...I...r-ramen, I guess..." he mumbled and the server proceeded with a list of types s**t! Why is there so much to choose from?! Agh! He stared, confusion making him twitchy, before settling on "Hot chicken ramen with...uhm...tea? NO! Water, I'll have water!" the last bit was because the waiter had started on a list of different teas. He scowled at Yokai and left, leaving Yokai winded, blushing and very near ashamed Urgh...maybe this wasn't a good idea...but I'm hungry.... he looked up at Kouhei, wondering if he looked like the big idiot he felt, and decided to ask about the thing in his hand "What is that?" he asked, watching Kouhei smoke.
I may know nothing...but I know the side I'm on is MY OWN.

It was obvious that coming to the restaurant only served to confuse Yokai even more. Kouhei could tell that he wasn't used to ordering--at least, since he had lost his memory he had probably forgotten how to do so. The fact that Kouhei himself hadn't ordered probably hadn't helped... After all, if he could have seen someone else ordering, it might have helped him to have understood what to do. Still, Kouhei wasn't hungry after having just eaten a bowl of ramen, and as such it seemed a bit ridiculous for him to eat again. While Yokai fumbled around, Kouhei took another breath of smoke from his kiseru and thought over whether he should just let Yokai explore, or whether he should try to guide him around. Hopefully, Yokai wasn't too interested in exploring the village, after all Kouhei wasn't entirely familiar with it either. But what he was curious about was how Yokai had gotten here in the first place... Who he was, what his intentions were, where he was from... All of these questions were on Kouhei's mind, and surely those questions were on Yokai's mind as well.
Another question brought Kouhei back into reality. Yokai had asked about his kiseru. Delicately, Kouhei held the pipe in his right hand so that Yokai could see it. "This...? This is a kiseru..." he said simply. There wasn't much more to say, and if hearing the name didn't prompt Yokai into remembering the thin pipe, then Kouhei wasn't sure how else to explain it. Once more, he put the pipe to his lips and smoked while Yokai was receiving his food. There wasn't much else to say on the matter, and as such Kouhei was silent once more.
