With exams right around the corner, Jericho was doing what he could to prepare. This no doubt was going to be a challenge and he would be as ready as he could be whenever his turn had come. It was just a little hard to prepare for something when you had no inkling of what was going to happen in said exam or even what was being tested exactly.
He supposed his only way was to just try and cover as many bases he could with his preparations.
It was a little hard to focus though, when he knew Riley was in the middle of her own exam right now. She had Hellma as her examiner if he recalled correctly. Now, having Hellma would be an excellent challenge and he held Riley's abilities in high regard, but he couldn't help but feel an inkling of concern though.
It didn't help the feeling when he felt something happen. He wasn't sure what, but he just got a strong feeling that she was in trouble. The sensation quickly subsided however. Letting out a breath, he slowly shook his head to himself. He must have just been imagining things. She couldn't have gotten into trouble so early on.. .right?
Right.
The dragon continued with his studies, not wanting to be caught by surprise. It wouldn't help though, if he were to be tested on something that was covered in some class that he hadn't partaken in. That would be one hell of a thing to go through for sure.
Frowning, he just tried not to think about the ifs and focused on what he did learn.
And then it happened again.
Jericho froze as the sensation practically clenched his heart. What was going on in that room? He hardly even drew a single breath as he waited to see if the feeling would leave him.
It didn't. And when it didn't, a sense of panic started to over take him.
It... it felt like she was gone, like something was missing. Letting out a howl, he tried to fight off his sensation but it just wouldn't leave him. What had happened? Dread started to fill him as he realized what had happened... she died.
She... would come back.. right? Even though they were supposed to respawn, he just couldn't be completely certain. Aside from that, he was concerned as to how she had just been killed. Was this a part of the test? Or had something gone terribly wrong? Completely shaken, the dragon didn't know what to do with himself. Especially with this horrible and indescribable thing he felt now. He also didn't think there was anything he could do.
It was something he wasn't relieved of for several hours and when it did there were no words to describe that either. He left immediately for the nurse's office to go seek out his friend.
