Slip out the back before they know you were there
and at the worst you'll see nobody cares, you don't want to be around when it all goes down... William Dante Nott the Third
An aloof sense of ease had overtaken him, and even a short-lived howl of laughter ensued at his cousins nonchalant choice of an answer. No sooner then he had managed to quiet himself, he felt an insistent poke of an elbow into his ribcage. An audible groan cut the silence, the knot on his rib cage ached slightly, but the pain was dismissed once the point of subject had reached his attention.
Dragomere, and he didn't seem well.
A brow rose, and his muscles almost seemed to tighten- almost. Drake looked too preoccupied to have even noticed them, but that still didn't put him off his gaurd. It was kin to the nature of the Nott family, afterall, their sigil had embellished a grand black bullmastiff over it's stark silver banner.
"Revenge," Tay began with an emptiness in his voice unfounded before, "-is a dish best served cold." He recited words his father had spoken, what book it was he couldn't remember, but it seemed fitting enough.

She had gone into the Great Hall, sitting in her usual seat - near the edge of one of the benches - but she had known whatever hunger she had previously felt was now completely lost. Regardless, she had taken a plate in order to possibly give herself a bite to eat. Instead, she had sat with it, empty, and looked at the severely unappetizing food before her. Pancakes, waffles, crumpets, scones, cereal and more. It looked the same, and to all the others eating it seemed just as delicious as it always was, but to Phi it made her lose her appetite further. With only a few minutes wasted by staring at the food, she soon stood once more, things in her arms, and left the Hall. Her legs moved her down the castle's paved floors with little permission asked from her mind. It was instead occupied with reliving the very event she had just been in. Every detailed seemed unnaturally focused - the growing confusion and evident shreds of anger in Jane's face, the slightly worried by more so anxious expression in Colton's eyes, and the heavy feeling of gifting Ronyo sever disappointment. He had been victorious in finding a key element in their plan, and her mood and dark emotions had ruined the deserved ceremony. Her emotions had given a harsh label to his hard work and that knowledge only served to further the deepening pit of guilt the Ravenclaw was already struggling not to be drowned in.
The cut of harsh and winter-threatening wind had made her return to focused reality from her haze of memories. She found herself outside, in the clocktower courtyard. Her dark eyes looked around with an innocent light, seeing the area once more since her last venture the previous year. It was exactly the same, as was to be expected, just warmer. A stone bench caught her eyes and she sat on it lightly, elbows on her knees as she stared up at the impressive clock towering over her. Casting its shadow just right of the fountain in the center of the yard. She sighed, normally the machinery would be having the girl in excited and enthusiastic spurts. Clockwork being one of her highest interests and curiosities. However, at the moment, she simply wanted to drift into a leaf of one of the surrounding branches.╚══════════════════╝

Roi moved out into the courtyard, he had certainly enjoyed the gift from William's uncle. However it was going to be a pain in the butt to spy on Ronyo, the boy was acting strange when he left the sixth floor corridor. Obviously this ancient spirit will be unable to spy on him. Oh well, right now he had to focus on the target, dear old Phinella. He turned to face her as her back faced him, should he use the pocket watch?
He thought for a second before nodding and pulling the pocket watch out, however he stopped and put it back, he was out in the open and that was DEFINITELY not a good place to use his cursed item. It was especially bad that Hogwarts has many major rules and restrictions on cursed items. "My, my, what is wrong? My dear Phinella." He asked sinisterly as he moved Woil's body across the courtyard.

Regardless, with little gap of time in which her dark eyes had repositioned from staring at her knees to attempting to pierce the skull of the fellow Ravenclaw went unregistered. It merely happened. Phi's molten-cored eyes glared with a dullness at the quickly approaching boy with his knowing and uncharacteristic sneer. The recognition of what she was unfamiliar with was instant - ever detail screaming its obviousness to her. His dark smirk, intent stance, looming aura and red-lined irises. Whomever was looking at her now and calling her name and her reaction was not the Ravenclaw boy she had seen before this. It was the demon she had touched and been burned by the nights after the fire. The eyes and their intent were as radiant as they had been when they had suddenly awakened in the Hospital Wing in the dead of night, threatening the ability to end Phi with just a glance. Ancient power burned from them and they had been fuel for her suspicion.
She rose form her hard seat and measured herself up to him. Only the emotion of deepening curiosity bleeding from her expression as it repressed all the quickly-withering anger, surprise and anxiety. This...being was of great interest to her - something that had created a whole realm of thought and interest. Suspicion grew theory and one piled onto the other as she though of what the phantom might be, what power the possession held. Her knees felt themselves buckle and she took a step backward, hands raised slightly before herself in show she was not drawing her wand in threat. "curious things, but nothing only a spirit should know." she said blissfully, tasting the bitterness of her intent on her tongue as the words flowed out smoothly. With just the intake of breath, the turned, just as she had turn to her friends, and began to walk out of the courtyard. a tinge of disappointment resounded in her for not being able to appreciate the clock of the yard. It compiled itself with the growing roar of her bubbling anger and feeling of pointlessness. Her feet started to move faster toward the great hall. ╚══════════════════╝

On such a sacred night as the first a young witch or wizard takes on this hallowed ground often other things are overlooked. Sometimes it's as simple as not remembering to water the whoomping willow, oh but low to the gardener when next the willow sees them on that occasion. It could be something less detrimental to once health such as not arranging a class the right way or maybe even not placing all the new books in their right places. However sometimes the things not seen are those that will forever change the course of the coming months or even years upon the ground on which the future generations of the wizarding world come to learn. On this night of nights upon the famous clock tower that always chimes the hour without fail, stands a shadow that only thanks to the glimmer of the full moon can be seen. The wind as if to help announce the figures presence kicks up into a small gust that blows the loose bits of fabric from around the shadowy man's attire. White cloth dances in the breeze and snaps and pops as it is blown up and then suddenly down. No hair dances with these folds of snow colored cloth for none appears to be seen or even hinted at. This due to a hood of the same white material adding more shadows to the already mysterious figures face. Face? No...but a quick glance with the help of the moons glow reveals a mask of white with only subtle dashes of orange and green. The shape appears that of a fox, even the hood shows signs of bulging at the top where the ears of the mask would be. The eyes are sharp and designed to enhance the image of the fox but also the blackness makes any chance of catching the figures eyes a lost cause. A hand quickly rotates and snaps around to show what looks like a white staff spinning effortlessly in the figures hand. A few more turns and then the staff is thrust down upon the surface in which the mysterious person stands. The sudden force added by what can only be described as magic pushes the white clad individual into the air and towards the deeper shadow within the castle. This person clad in white with the mask of a fox sores through the night sky and with a roll and feet moving like a gymnast the fox masked figure in white lands on the side of the castle only to push off once again this time being swallowed up by the blackest of shadows and not a sound is heard. The man vanished almost as suddenly as he appeared and should anyone have been watching they might have thought it was one of the many ghosts that inhabit the castle. On this night of nights a new figure has appeared in Hogwarts, and for what purpose still unknown. This masked figure...this White Fox will likely show again, likely when least expected or maybe even upon the next night.

The sooner he got back to the common room, he thought, the sooner he could go to bed. Out Of Character: ...

He kept his scars revealed this time and was just setting up the last stink pellet when he heard the footsteps and a quick, sly, look was Simon. Oh this was going to be fun. He moved around the courtyard parallel to his brother and reached into his bag for his dungbomb, which he then lobbed at his unsuspecting brother. Out Of Character: ...
