Benjamin wasn't one to turn down hanging out with his quiet friend, especially if it involved going to the kitchens. After all Benjamin had already invested two years in trying to teach the elves how to make some decent Paraguayan staple dishes. Benjamin was fairly sure that the British managed to invent some of the most god awful dishes in existence that no matter how great of a cook one might be just was bland. Benjamin was happy to report between Benjamin figuring out how to translate some of the recipes his Mum used and apparently picked up while they lived in Paraguay and his investment of time with the house elves that they were slowly figuring out some better recipes to make-or at least something they presented him when he showed up in the kitchens (which was quite often).
Benjamin also had decided to spend a fair amount of time in the House-Elf living quarters where he found it to be a fairly cozy place to catch a nap and it wasn't that hard to convince an elf to escort him there (usually on the agreement that he'd not cause havoc when he was there). Also, he was fairly sure the house elves rather him sleeping than getting in the way pestering them about ways to make food more flavorful and bemoaning British food. However, despite Benjamin's frequent visits to the kitchen, it was rare that Timothy felt like spending an afternoon down there, so Benjamin was looking forward to it. Besides, there was no Princesa Mira hanging around. Which, he supposed wasn't that big of deal, it wasn't like Mira was that bad, and it was fun to annoy them about their so obvious crush on each other, but Benjamin was also to the point he just wanted them to go ahead and snog like he had pictures of them doing (doctored, of course, but still he had the photographic evidence none the less).
Stepping into the kitchen ahead of his friend, he looked over his shoulder at Timothy and said with a smirk, "So I don't know if they've mastered the Guiso popó recipe yet I translated for them, but they make some pretty decent Kivevé." Benjamin hadn't a clue what was really waiting for him in the kitchen and would never dream his quiet, shorter Ravenclaw friend would actually have the audacity to con him into some horrific talk which was waiting for him. Seymour Benjamin Ryans after all, despite his joking that Timothy and him were twins, would be the first to say if they were twins it was obvious that Timothy was the good twin. Good twins didn't plot things, right?

❁ ❀ ✿Tanya was waiting patiently in the kitchens while the elves bustled around her curious not to why she was there but why she was there without her usual group and with booklets and a mini chalkboard she had found in an abandoned classroom. Hogwarts truly was a treasure trove. But the waiting wasn't all bad, the elves made the most awesome cinnamon scones and while she wasn't Ronna level when it came to coffee, the older girl had made her curious and she had began drinking some over the summer. She had to add a horrendous amount of sugar and creamer so it was edible (was there a liquid version of edible?) and she always wondered if the rush she was getting was from the sugar or the caffeine (maybe both?) but all in all, not bad. She was just finishing up a cup when the door to the kitchens opened and just according to plan, Benjamin walked in first and unaware allowing her the perfect amount of time to disarm him of his wand, throw him into a chair placing a sticking charm both on the seat of the chair and on his pants. The Gryffindor had considering actually tying him up but Timothy had told her she was just going overboard while she still argued you couldn't take too much precaution, especially with this guy. "Hello Benjamin, I'm guessing you're a little confused on what's happening right now so let me just break this down very simply. Timothy came to me with a concern that you were, how do I say this politely...you stick to high heaven at talking to girls. And no, I don't just mean talking in general, I mean actually talking to females you happen to be attracted to. So! We're going to have a crash course on how to talk to women without them wanting to disembowel you." Tanya said with a not so small smirk. If this worked she was going to sell herself as the best big sister ever and demand an award.

Benjamin was caught completely unaware by the Expelliarmus spell and being thrown into a chair and quickly experiencing a sticking charm. He narrowed his eyes as he recognized Timothy's very obnoxious Amazonian sister-the overly tall stick she was. He had assumed that somehow the crazy Gryffindor got in her head to ambush him in the outing for something ridiculous like him borrowing Timothy's notes (hey it wasn't like Benjamin didn't help out some-and Timothy would totally fail Astronomy if it wasn't for Benjamin he'd like to point out), but as she began and said Timothy had come to her with a concern he glared at his friend and hissed, "Traidor! Eres el bueno! No se supone que ir detrás de mi espalda..." He paused to listen as Tanya went on to say he stunk to high heaven talking to girls which Benjamin scoffed at aloud, until she clarified it wasn't in general but apparently about females he happened to be attracted to. And that was when she said she was going to give him some crash course on how to talk to women without them wanting to disembowel him.
"You're kidding me," Benjamin scoffed. "Woman, if you are worried about anyone in this place having trouble talking to girls they like you should look at your brother. I mean, Hell, Mira and Timmy have been mooning over each other ages and I don't think they've even gotten past holding hands and its been like how long? And, furthermore, I have no issues talking to females I'm attracted to. Hell, there are plenty of hot girls in my house I talk to all the time... Camila, Gunilda... like I said plenty," He added with a roll of his eyes before asking Tanya. "Anyways, not listening to this nonsense... you want to undo the sticking charm or am I going to have to head out in just my boxers?"

❝Timothy winced at how his sister threw a barrage of spells towards his friend and at Benjamin's accusing Spanish words. He blushed as his friend began to say that he should be the one getting these lessons because of the way he acted with Mira. But he didn't like her in that way! They were friends and he would really appreciate it if his friend would stop saying it like that! Especially in front of his sister! Tanya, on the other hand, considered his words but acted as if she was ignoring them in order to direct the Slytherin's attention to the floating chalkboard where several steps were steadily being written by the equally floating chalk. "I'm sure it won't come to that, and if you actually do manage to escape I've asked the elves to stop you using any means necessary. They apparently think this is all terribly amusing." the older girl said with a smirk. While the elves were usually just peaceful observers if asked they could be quite the little army, it was actually sorta hilarious. "And while I'm at it, Cookie, your friend does pose a good point." Before Timothy could even blink, he too was disarmed and stuck to a chair right besides his friend facing the chalkboard which had stopped writing. "While your case isn't anywhere near as bad as Benjamin, you do obviously have a problem speaking to the female gender in general, well, not counting that Mira girl right?" Timothy could have died right there. He knew it was a bad idea getting his sister involved! "Alright kiddies, lesson number one! When approaching a girl you find attractive start off with the basics: ask how their classes are, how's their life, and if you can work it in a small compliment. And I don't mean calling a girl chubby because you just happen to like that about women." Tanya said pointedly staring at Benjamin. "If you would like to acknowledge a girl's outer appearance merely say she's looking pretty as usual-the as usual is a must! Any questions so far?" Timothy had a million, the main one was "why did the universe hate him so?"❞

Benjamin raised a brow at Tanya as she said that she was sure it wouldn't come to him going pantsless to escape, and Benjamin chuckled slightly, already unbuttoning his pants and working on his zipper, beginning to wiggle to try to move out of the pants that were very much stuck on the chair, as he started he glanced back to the older Gryffindor as she said she had convinced the house elves to be on her side because they thought it was funny, well he'd expect as much from the little guys. "Poreno... They would. Too much work to bother trying to get out of these pants right now, anyways..." Benjamin muttered before zipping his pants back up and buttoning them, deciding he could just go to sleep-or at least try to. He wouldn't put it past her to get one of the house elves to keep putting ice cubes down the back of his shirt or something as horrid.
Crossing his arms he listened as his comment about her brother suddenly sparked some idea in her head and turned her attention to Timothy, who she quickly disarmed and stuck to a chair right beside him. Benjamin raised a brow at Timothy as Tanya rambled on about some nonsense on approaching a girl and talking to her and finally stopping to ask if they had any questions so far, and Benjamin smirked at his friend and said, "You know, you getting stuck here beside me you totally deserve..."
He glanced back at Tanya and said, "Yeah, that all sounds really boring, Vieja. The only reason I would care about how someone's classes were is if I was trying to get notes form a class or answers-and I have Timmy for that... well except for my electives and I wouldn't trust his answers without checking first in astronomy, but whatever... besides it isn't like I'd ever have an interest in shagging some boring Ravenclaw or nerd girl that care to talk about classes. And, working in a small compliment? Pfft, that's like trying way too hard. I'm not that desperate. Never will be."
He waved a hand and continued, "And, I'm way too awesome to stoop to some lame advice una vieja like you will come up with. Also, just because mejillas regordetas son monas doesn't mean too much grasa is. Granted, a few extra pounds is a whole lot healthier and attractive than some stick like you, but whatever... I was listening obviously, not that I'm going to actually do any of that rubbish, like I said I'm awesome enough I don't have to, and I don't have any particular girl I like, I'm sure..." He paused and frowned as he thought of his entertainment at annoying Morven and how he had purposely sought her out at the feast but figured it was just because she was more fun to annoy than most and it was like annoying what a little sister might be if he had one, after all she did sort of look like his Mum. He frowned slightly and then glanced back at Tanya and said a bit irritably changing the subject, "Can I go now? Or if you plan to bore me longer can you at least un-stick me from my chair? Mi nalgas will get sore from being stuck in this position too long."

❁ ❀ ✿Tanya knew this wasn't going to be easy nor would the Ryans kid just sit back and take it so she had prepared for the worst of what he would throw at her and so far he was doing exactly what she expected. Although she didn't understand any of the Spanish he was saying one look at her brother and his eye rolls or grimaces gave her enough clues. Her eyes however hardened when he began talking about how her methods were useless and that he had no intention of shagging-the little brat actually said shagging!-any nerds or Ravenclaws making her tsk and shake her head. This boy was almost completely clueless. Then he continued on again throwing out random Spanish and a few obvious barbs-she was not a stick goddammit!-to throw her off but when he said there wasn't a girl he didn't like her smirk positively turned predatory. "Are you sure? Are you sure there isn't some redheaded Slytherin you've been bugging for the past two years? And don't look at Timothy, I have other sources besides him." Namely his object of affection's older sister who found this entire set up way to funny while simultaneously being horrified. And from what she knew and had experienced with the younger girl, she was honestly shocked that this kid was still alive with all motor function and not tied to a cinder block at the bottom of the lake. "No, I'm not releasing you until we've come to some sort of accord. So you don't want to go the Good Guy route, that's fine I should have assumed you wouldn't. That's more Cookie's speed anyway. You however, you're like the dirty little boys in primary who would pull at the girl he liked pigtails or push her for no reason because he didn't know how to actually vocalize his feelings. So because I know that no amount of house training is going to fix that overnight, we're going to work with what we have. Tell me about the girls you typically like. Give me any and every detail." Tanya said standing right in front of Benjamin with her arms crossed. She really didn't need to hear whatever it was he was about to say, mainly because she already had a plan formulating, but if it would get the guy to stop squirming she'd take it.

Benjamin rolled his eyes as Tanya demanded if he was sure there wasn't some girl he liked. Saying there was a redheaded Slytherin he had been bugging for the past two years and that she had other sources beyond Timothy. "There are plenty of pelirojas who are Slytherins I bug on a regular basis-starting with my own mother. Hell there is that obnoxious bruja in my year la Princesa that Timmy has the hots for hangs out with. There's Gatita Mori... Hell, I even make sure to make a detour once a week at least to find the painting of Lady Burke who was a Slytherin and tells us to be awful to muggleborns and blood traitors and halfbloods just to flip her off. And, I usually, then go into details how Dad totally hooked up with Mum who was apparently from this old pureblood family or whatever. And Dad's a halfblood Gryffindor I always remind her. It's fun and I get bored easily. So what redheaded Slytherin is it your sources-which no doubt are totally lame compared to mine-were you referring to?"
He shook his head sighing as he knew the follow up was going to be this whole 'I'm not going to release you till I'm at least somewhat happy with the response I get'. Sighing, Benjamin raised a brow as Tanya compared him to little boys who would pull pigtails of a girl he liked because he didn't need to vocalize his feelings and something about 'house training' and working with 'what they have' and then demanded to know what type of girls he typically likes. "Uno, soy bilingüe... actually..." he signed 'almost triningual, now' and continued aloud, "and know a fair amount of Guarani vocabulary, so I'm pretty confident I can vocalize whatever the Hell I want just fine..."
He smirked and added, "And, two, do you want to know who I actually find hot or who I actually like to spend time with? Because, unlike Timmy I don't find rubias attractive at all and let's see... oh... there was this one woman in Bewitchings I think back in June this year... she looked a bit like this one actress on a telenova Mum liked when I was a kid and wow... now, talk about muy caliente," He joked-it wasn't like he spent his time looking at the must be 17 to buy magazines behind the counter at his Mum's bookstore all that much, but he figured if he annoyed the stick sister of Timothy enough she'd shut up.
Raising a brow he continued in a challenge with a smirk, "You want to know what details makes her so hot because I try to not corrupt Timmy's innocence too much... and besides, do you really want to annoy me? I've got some interesting pictures of you and Echo I'm sure Daddy Whitethorne really would be interested to see: remember I do live in Diagon Alley after all."

❝Timothy felt like he was watching a chess match and he wasn't sure who he wanted to root for. On one side was his sister who was basically doing this because he asked her to but then also double crossed him at the last minute. And then the other side was his best, and even first, friend who did have fine points it's just that his points came with razor sharp edges that he just wanted to help him smooth down. That was the whole point of this! He could see Tanya getting annoyed by the hard look in her eye and the way her jaw was set and just sighed and motioned for an elf to bring him just a little to nibble on. They of course went over board and brought him some hot chocolate as well as a full plate full of chocolate delicacies. He had just taken a forkful of the chocolate cheesecake when Benjamin asked if she wanted details while simultaneously threatening to send their soon-to-be-father pictures of her and Echo in apparently compromising positions making him worry. Not for his sister but for his friend, he was literally a sitting duck and his sister's anger was legendary. But to his immense surprise, and relief, the older Gryffindor just started to laugh. "You really think he doesn't know what we get up to? He's raised three teens before me I'm pretty sure very much aware. Plus Echo too afraid to really do anything so he'll know whatever you actually manage to show him is fake. If you manage to get that far I mean." she told him with a shark-like grin. She then flicked her wand towards the chalkboard banishing it back to the classroom she had gotten it from before grabbing a chair and taking a seat in front of Benjamin. "You can dance around this all you want I really don't care, Cookie's the one that wants you to be 'happy' and 'well rounded' or whatever. Look, obviously you talking to women isn't the problem or even the way you present yourself. The very fact that you still have your skin shows that you haven't pissed off the wrong people just yet. So instead we're just going to work on your presentation. If you see a cute girl sitting at the Slytherin table, Quidditch stands, classroom wherever, what do you say and how do you say it?" she asked. Timothy was just watching them with a tiny amount of curiosity as he slowly went through his desserts. The more time she spent with Benjamin the less time she had to go after him.❞

"Oh wow, a guy too afraid to do anything. Really impressive," Benjamin smirked. "Are all Ravenclaw guys afraid to seal the deal or something? I mean there's Echo apparently and we all know Timothy's little issue with la Princesa Mira." He glanced at his friend who was settling into a plate of snacks and hot chocolate that the elves were happily providing him and Benjamin said, "No offense meant, of course, Timmy, but I am serious about being able to put up with her if she is mi cuñada through you, but otherwise... pfft it is just sad and painful to watch. Just saying..."
He sighed and glanced back at Tanya who had pulled up a chair in front of him and began some long speech about how Timothy wanted him to be happy and 'well rounded' and went on to say they were going to work on his presentation. He crossed his arms and raised a brow at her remaining silent for a while before sighing dramatically and saying in a very fake stage whisper to Timothy, "La vieja won't shut-up unless I half play along, will she? I mean viejas son así."
Shaking his head he looked to Tanya and said, "Well, if the girl is cute, naturally, if I'm in the mood, I'll just sit down next to her or come over to her and chat her up like any normal person. Anyways, let's face it, I'm not attracted to sticks like you or Gryffindors, so what would work for you to sweep you off your feet-which is apparently awkward as Hell geek boys who are afraid of everything-sure as Hell isn't going to work for the girls I would have interest in. Happy now? Because, seriously, I think Timothy should be the bigger concern. I mean he has a girl he's crazy about...Dios sabe porque...and she obviously has the hots for him-Hell she's told me that even-but he won't do anything about it. I mean, he'll lose la Princesa if he doesn't do something soon. And then I'll have to spend like six months consoling mi amigo, which I so don't want to have to do if there is a simple solution-which there is. But, Timmy won't listen to me about that... noooo..."
Benjamin shook his head and said with a wave of his hand, "Besides, Stick-sister-of-Timmy, it isn't like I have any particular girl I like or anything. Hell, if I did, I would be snogging her already because anyone easily recognizes my awesomeness and I'm not afraid to seal the deal or anything." Benjamin figured, he'd keep turning the table to Timothy, after all Timothy and Mira was obvious the pressing issue. And, just because Benjamin may have his favorite girls to annoy-or girl-it wasn't like he was crushing on her or anything. Or at least that is what Benjamin was going to keep telling himself and ignoring the fact that once Morven would give him the cold shoulder it would annoy him unlike when she would give him the typical threats and glares and that adorable annoyed face she did. Nope, not a crush, just him finding his typical entertainment and happen to find an amusing target for his entertainment that was all. Most definitely.

❁ ❀ ✿Tanya twitched at the accusation that Ravenclaw guys were afraid to do anything mainly because the only ones the little brat was talking about were her own boyfriend and little brother. Echo she could understand because he still had a credited fear of her stepfather while with Timothy she just thought he plain didn't see that the other girl even liked him. It was adorable really. She watched him say something to her little brother slipping into Spanish (she was going to do a translation charm one of these days dammit!) and instead of her brother getting flustered like she was sure he would he merely just rolled his eyes and put down his plate so he could sign, "Stop calling her that and not going to happen." She just shook her head. Maybe she should've done an intervention to her little Cookie about his feelings for Mira, but that probably wouldn't have gone over well either. It must be a boy thing because she didn't remember being anywhere near this obnoxious in her third year. She'd ask Xavier but she was sure he'd just say yes if only so she'd stop talking to him or because he thought anyone with a pulse was obnoxious. Just as she was thinking about him Benjamin leaned over to fake whisper to her brother about her calling that viyayha or whatever and her brother actually snorted at his words and nodded. Not only could he understand what his friend was saying, he agreed! The nerve! Finally it seemed she was going to get somewhere when he began to answer her earlier question while of course making another barb at her stature (she really wasn't that skinny!) and then ending with another rant about how Timothy and Mira obviously liked one another but weren't making any moves. To be honest, Tanya agreed with the pest but she'd never actually say that out loud because she didn't want him to know such a thing and because she didn't like to think of her little brother as someone who could date. She still remembered when he had to use a potty chair for cripes sake! At his fourth-or fifth-stick comment and announcement that there were no girls he was interested in she gave a snort of derision. "This is of course the reason you haven't 'sealed the deal' with Morven, right? Or is she someone you're just not interested in? And what about you Cookie?" she asked suddenly, turning in her seat to face her startled little brother. "Are you ever going to tell Mira you like her, and please don't insult mine and Benjamin's intelligence by saying you don't because, yeah, you do." Timothy flushed, mainly from being bodily flung into the spotlight and because what she said, what everyone said, was sort of true. He did have rather more than friendly feelings for Mira but he had no idea how to go about them. If he just told her then what? What if she didn't feel the same way unlike what Benjamin kept saying? What then? So he answered the only way he knew how and just shrugged morosely.

"You mean her becoming an actual princess?" Benjamin asked his friend with a smirk sighing back. "I totally agree on that one." Still smirking he added, "And she wouldn't be mi cuñada only because I don't think your Mum or Dad would ever actually want to adopt me to make us hermanos legales..." He shrugged, referring to Mr. Whitethorne as Timothy's father because the guy might as well be. And the guy was sort of scary-in that stern boring, stuffy way, but still. Benjamin was sure that he was the last sort of individual a man like that would want as a son, which was fine with Benjamin. Though the guy seemed to be a pretty great father, and way more responsible than Benjamin's joking Dad did. Granted the fact Benjamin's Dad could make his Mum laugh and they could have some dark humor they shared was pretty impressive-especially for a Gryffindor.
Regardless, Benjamin smiled genuinely as his friend agreed about his sister and the fact she was going to go along. And Tanya meanwhile looked very annoyed about the fact. Well, what could he say, Benjamin was the awesome friend and Tanya was the obnoxious big sister-she'd get over it. However, that obnoxious big sister of his friend went on to demand from him why he hadn't 'sealed the deal' with Morven. Benjamin chuckled, "One, I'm thirteen, I have plenty of time to worry about girls. Two, I'm sure if there comes a point I want to shag Mori la Gatita or anyone else, I will have reached such epic levels of awesome they will be begging to hook up with me. I'll have to get a stick to beat off all the girls," he ended appearing to be not the least bit ruffled though he internally was wondering was his interest in Mori just because he thought she was most amusing to pester-after all Mira was fun to pester but the though of kissing her just was like eww... she was so not his type, he'd not mind if it was... Benjamin turned red and glanced away thankful when Tanya turned the tables onto Timothy.
Benjamin turned his head to his friend and raised a brow, his own blush fading as his friend's flush and embarrassment about the interrogation about Mira turned on him. Though he was a bit surprised that Tanya decided to add intelligent to describe Benjamin-if he wasn't careful the girl and other people would start expecting him to make an effort. He was happy with his slacker reputation. Being overly confident and way too relaxed is what defined him and it also kept him from having to worry about people picking apart his not fitting in and making it into a bad thing. If he embraced any quirk of his as being awesome if someone acknowledged the quirk it only served to add to his repetition of being as awesome as he was. Simple really. Benjamin smirked, "Come on, you, unlike me, you totally have a specific target and like I said Mira has totally said to me she likes you. You got her in the bag, amigo. Now snatch her up while the going is good and is in your favor!" Benjamin advised, figuring as long as he kept the topic on Timothy's and his feeling it kept him from being dragged into the discussion. Besides, Timothy and Mira so needed to get a move on-it was annoying to Benjamin just to have the two make eyes at each other. Like how lame!

❝Timothy just rolled his eyes, he was doing that a lot lately, at his friend as he purposely misconstrued his words and acted like he thought Mira couldn't actually be a princess. 'She was certainly pretty enough to be one' he thought without realizing and blushed when he had. Thankfully Benjamin just kept on talking and either didn't see it or didn't bring attention to it as he talked about how they couldn't be actual brothers without his parents actually adopting him. "Well, maybe your Mum could adopt me. She's said so more than enough times." he signed back to his friend with a sly grin. Ever since he and Mrs. Ryans came to an accord on how to get Benjamin to use the smarts he was graced with he had been informally adopted into their crazy family which didn't exactly bother him since his actual family was just as, and possibly just a little more, crazy.
Tanya however was a bit annoyed with the two of them, especially because she knew exactly what they were signing while also being confused when they somehow through Spanish into it. She was sooo going to borrow her brother's dictionary when this was finished! Copying her little brother, she merely rolled her eyes at the boy's explanation on why he hadn't admitted his feelings about Morven and mentally called this a draw. He wasn't going to admit his feelings until he was in the throws of puberty probably and Merlin help all the females of Hogwarts when that happens. Unfortunately she'd be long gone with this happened so she couldn't witness the pandemonium. However, at the look of his blush maybe he wasn't as lost a cause as she originally thought. The feelings were there he was just suppressing them (more like redirecting them) and when they finally emerged she'd be sure to send him a medic kit because Morven was not going to be an easy girl to woo. When her brother remained silent about his feelings for Mira she wasn't shocked to hear Benjamin continually encourage him to admit them but she did think he was a really nice friend to do so. From what her Cookie's told her, the two of them never got along for longer than three minutes without himself there as a buffer, so for him to keep cheering his friend on to establish a relationship said a lot for his character. He was still a pockmarked annoying brat but at least he was a good friend.
Timothy knew that, it was the main reason he had stayed friends with Benjamin for as long as he had. And he supposed if he admitted his feelings that both these annoying people in his life could give him ideas on how to tell Mira, so that was something he supposed. "Ok! So, maybe I like Mira in that way. How am I supposed to tell her? I'm not exactly the prince charming.." he signed keeping on with the princess analogy. ❞

Though, Benjamin kept talking he did note the blush Timothy got when he joked about Mira not actually being a princess, playing on the nickname he gave Mira ages ago-the one that drove her nuts but she sort of embraces (well at least when Timothy called her that, granted Benjamin figured for most girls being called Princess by the guy she likes was considered a good thing). Benjamin decided not to nettle his friend about it and probably didn't want to know exactly what Timothy thought when blushing about him commenting on Mira being a princess. Yeah, those two needed to sort things out and the quicker the better.
Smirking when Timothy signed back to Benjamin about his mother adopting Timothy instead Benjamin laughed and with a shrug signed back fairly quickly, "And have some epic fight between our Mums about who got the right to call you a son... doesn't sound too safe for anyone..." Also, Benjamin was quite afraid what his mother would talk Timothy into in regards to keeping an eye on Benjamin if she ever did officially adopt Timothy.
He sat back, as well as he could considering he was still stuck on a chair and without his wand, and looked to his friend as he waited for Timothy to say something. When Timothy finally relented with a sigh and an exasperated signing of his admittance to liking Mira as more than just a friend and then going so far as asking how to tell her and pointing out he was not exactly the prince charming type. Benjamin laughed and waved a hand and answered aloud, "You seriously expect me to be the type to tell you how to tell a girl you like her? If it was me I'd just go ahead and bluntly say 'you're hot, you have a decent personality, and I totally want to be your exclusive snogging buddy and maybe someday get into your pants... so hey can we start dating'?" He quickly shot a look at Tanya and held up his hands and said, "What? I didn't say it was a good idea for your brother to try that line!"
He looked back at Timothy and frowned before signing, "You are way more the typical prince charming type than I am, as you can obviously tell on my way more blunt and honest lines I would use. But, you could still just tell her you like her-just without my extra commentary. Just ask her to go to Hogsmeade for a cup of tea with you or something without me and offer to pay for it and whatever else she wants from the menu and just tell her you've liked her for a while and what you like about her. You are polite and smooth enough, I'm pretty sure whatever you pull out won't make her hex you or kill you or hate you forever, which you seem the type to want to avoid at all costs."
He shrugged and raised a brow at his friend crossing his arms and waited to see what Timothy would answer on what he'd like to consider was quite reasonable and practical and appropriate advice.

❁ ❀ ✿Tanya watched the two teen boys converse and felt oddly left out even though she could understand their signs. It was like getting into a really good television series but starting at season three instead of the pilot episode. She was happy Timothy finally admitted that he had feelings for Mira but frowned when he said he wasn't a prince. That wasn't true! Her Cookie was totally a prince! And if that girl couldn't see that then she didn't deserve him! "Don't put yourself down like that, you're wonderful! Exactly like a prince charming." she told her little brother. However Benjamin decided to also help but not in a way she thought and felt her mouth drop at his words. That little snake int he grass perv! He better not be trying to corrupt her little brother! Apparently he saw the look on her face that promised retribution because he basically surrendered and admitted that it wasn't a very good line making her snort in derision. "It's not a good idea for you to try it either!" she retorted. Timothy snorted as well but from his small smile she could see it was more from amusement than from actually being appalled. When he started to sign she figured that it was something they had learned to do to keep things private between themselves and averted her eyes wanting to keep their privacy. Just because she may not like the butt-munching sack of pimples didn't mean she didn't think he was an awesome friend for her brother. Not that she would ever tell him that. Ever.
Timothy read his friend's signs and while slightly embarrassed to be told that he was indeed a "prince charming type" he did feel significantly better about his feelings and how to go and tell Mira. He nodded because that was of course his fear; that she wouldn't just not like him back that she might be disgusted that he thought of her that way. Despite popular best sellers, not a lot of women went for the "strong silent type." Not that he was. He was mainly just the silent part of that anyway. But anyway, Benjamin's idea had merit and good timing since there was a Hogsmeade trip planned in about a weeks time. He could certainly ask her during one of the shared elective classes. "Ok, that sounds like a good plan. I'll ask her on Monday in one of our classes. And when you say 'without you' I hope you really mean it and won't try and stalk the date to get more pictures for your nefarious ways." he signed to his friend with a pointed look.
