xxxxx Veraç is very different different from his father in most ways, but similar in others. Like his father’s side of the family, he sees most other Kalona as vermin and a disgrace to the noble breed of the Kalona. Most Kalona would have an opposing view to that, seeing their family as the true problem in the world. But, to him, they are clearly wrong. They believe that other Kalona are nothing but vicious and must be taken out by the noble members of the breed. As a foal, he trained with his father continuously. Not only did he train to become the best warrior he could be, but he was also trained to be honorable and prideful in who he is and what he does. Often this honor and pride is simply second nature to him, doing it without having to think about it in the end. The training from his father encompassed everything from learning how to take care of himself away from the herd, to defending someone who can’t defend themselves. It also taught him humility and how to help others in need. Veraç prides himself on his ability to help the members of his herd with anything they could possibly need. Since he was the first foal born to the herd, he ends up being taken as more of the baby role in it. It was really something that was simply going to be no matter what he decided was supposed to be his role. This isn’t something he is ashamed of in any way though. He doesn’t mind being the baby of so many. When the herd needs something that they no longer have, he and his father often go out away from the herd to find it for them as well. A bit of an adventure was always good for a growing boy after all. Though he doesn’t enjoy his father looking out for him so much, he does appreciate everything that his father has done for him.
One of Veraç’s favorite things to do, much to the dismay of his father, is to go out and meet new Soquili. His favorite ones to meet are those who are or, consider themselves to be, royalty. This is simply because he rather enjoys using his more flourishing greetings, his large wings spread wide. He also likes to do this when he meets mares he thinks are pretty. One has to impress the ladies after all. All of this excitement in meeting others comes from his much more happy go lucky attitude towards life and everything around him. This is really the main way that his personality is different from his father. He simply grew up in a much happier place and has been able to be carefree in his day to day life. Often he can even be found playing around with other members of the herd, any of them, that will participate in his little games. This attitude makes it easy for others to get along with him and make friends with him. It always makes him happy to meet someone he can get along with easily and quickly. The only downside to this part of his personality is his tendency to end up daydreaming. This makes it so that he is not paying attention to the world around him and has been known to get him into trouble once or twice. This also causes him to wander and become much more interested in the simple things going on around him. These thoughts can be as simple following a bird to their home, or as complex as staring up at the sky and wondering what makes the wind blow. Thankfully he hasn’t ended up in too much danger from this habit, his father’s training often coming through and snapping him back to his senses. When he comes to he will also scold himself for being so careless, hoping that his father never finds out about it.
Though his sweet and talkative side is usually the one that comes out when he is around others, he can be downright fierce and vicious when he needs to be. This side will usually come out when he or someone he loves is cornered or in danger of some kind. When it comes to this side of him, he will lash out with his full force, taking advantage of any weaknesses he can see in his opponent. This come as second nature to him in the heat of the moment due to his years of training with his father. This side of him can be very cold and calculating, quiet and brimming with anger. Anyone near him in this state would be able to feel it radiating from his every pore. Seeing it deep in his eyes. If one does have the misfortune to witness this side of him, they should make themselves scarce as quickly as they can. They would not want to get in the way of the beast that has been released.

xxxxx Veraç is honorable and true to a fault. Loyal to those he loves and those that need him the most. Much like his father, he is against everything that the foul killers his breed has produced. Preferring to see them all taken out and made to be nothing. Around those he loves he is a ball of energy and loves nothing more than to play around with them. Enjoying games of tag and such are things that he certainly never grew out of.
Though he is a generally kind and gentle soul, he does have a dark side about him. If you evoke his wrath, the Kalona in him takes over and his wrath is unending. Once on his bad side, only the graces of the Heavens would be able to get you back on his good side again.
Veraç had a very happy childhood, never wanting for anything and enjoying himself fully. His earliest memories are of being with his mother and sister in the woods his mother takes care of. Since he first popped out of his basket, he would cuddle and play with his sister, loving her so much. These are his happiest memories. Playing tag and chase in the woods with his family. After a time, his father told him that they would rejoin his herd and that it was time to say goodbye to his mother and sister. This was the saddest time of his life. Though he knew he would miss them, he was excited at the chance to meet this herd. At the chance to see other places in the world.
As he grew, his father taught him everything he knows. Everything he may need to know. His father taught him the graces he needs in order to meet new Soquili. To greet them with all of the flourishes that he could. To grace them with all that he can. It's something that his father made sure he learned early on in life.
As he grew, his father taught him more and more about what he would need in order to survive. Teaching him how to hunt, how to fend for himself in the wilds. Something that he wasn't sure if he would ever use. Though it was something that is needed if they were to ever be separated. Another part of his training was how to defend himself. How to use his Kalona body, his Kalona blood to take advantage of everything that he possibly can. The fierce blood flowing through him is something that no one can deny.
The future may hold more for him... He is unsure... for now.

xxxxx ［•］ Meeting another who is in a wandering herd would be fun! Maybe they even grew up in the herd like he did. They can compare notes on all the places they have been.

xxxxx ［•］ Another mixed Kalona would be interesting for him to meet. Even though you can't see it, he is part Kirin. Or even meeting a pure Kalona who is confused as to why he is mixed even though he looks pure would be interesting.

xxxxx Poseidon is a rather vain and callus creature, often attempting to subjugate anyone who is malleable enough to take a hold of. Though this isn’t something that really needs to happen too terribly often as the ones who are currently under him are more than willing to follow him to the ends of the Earth. A God King such as himself often ends up with more than enough followers and worshipers, so it’s not terribly strange that there would be plenty more than willing to follow someone like him. All of his subjects either live, or can submerge themselves for long periods of time, under the deep water. Being the God of the Oceans, he certainly prefers to have it that way. Most of his subjects being Mers or Kelpies, though there are some Seathie mixed in there as well. And he is certainly not against the ocean creatures themselves being under him, such as turtles or octopi. He is also willing to accept land dwellers as his subjects, it’s just a bit harder for him to really bother with those that he can’t have near him for prolonged periods of time.
Though Poseidon is rather conceited and expects the world to be given to him on a silver platter, it doesn’t stop him from taking care of his subjects. This is really something he feels is the most important purpose in his life as the King of his subjects. This is not limited to simply overseeing the creatures and going ons in the water either, he will often give out jobs to those closest to him. These jobs can range from things such as cleaning up the reefs or clearing out clutter, to more important jobs such as escorting important subjects through more dangerous waters. He will even employ some as guides through the Kingdom, so as no one gets lost. This is really something that could be considered his kinder side. This is usually the him that speaks kind gentle words and tends to take care of everything and everyone around him. He even enjoys when there are a lot of others around him in his court simply chatting and giggling the whole day through. If one watched him carefully the few times this happens, one could even see him crack a small smile or two as he watches his subjects interact with each other.
Though more often than not he is full of himself, he is a rather kind and gentle soul at the core of his being and wants nothing more than to help those in the Oceans he lives in. His home itself can be found at the deepest part of the Oceans and is a rather formidable cave system. This structure seems to form a palace itself, having large peaks and even separate rooms within most of those areas. The trusted subjects that live there consider it a beautiful home and one of the safest places in the Ocean. Within this palace there are mostly other Mers living with him, but there are some other sea dwelling creatures who make their home within the halls of the structure. He doesn’t mind them, of course, and allows them to do as they please since they are just fish after all.
The worst side of Poseidon to see is his wrath. No one wants to be on the receiving end of him when something comes up. The best way to provoke him into this is to threaten his Oceans or the ones who are living within his territories as his subjects. This is not limited to a threat of taking a life either. He will go after anyone who threatens his Oceans and their subjects in any way possible. When it comes to the crime, the punishment may not fit it. In some cases his subjects will see them as a bit extreme, but Poseidon doesn’t think that any punishment is too large when it comes to his land and the ones who are in it.
In the end, Poseidon enjoys his ocean home and wouldn’t give it, or anyone in it, up for anything else.

xxxxx Katida Purrrrr is an interesting Soquili to be sure. This mare believes, without any shadow of a doubt, that she is a cat. Pure and simple, a cat. Her belief is instilled into her so much she will go around and chase small animals around to catch in her “claws.” Though nothing she catches is ever harmed. She isn’t in the habit of turning around and eating the things that she catches. Much preferring to have the small creatures as friends and pets instead. As such, she has quite a few small animal friends all over the Soquili lands. They will go as far as to seek her out when she is in their area as well, playing hide and seek with the larger creature. Typically when she does show her face again as well, they shower her with small gifts. Things that they believe will bring her luck, or things that they think she will find pretty. So that she never loses these gifts, she keeps them stored away in a small pouch that she keeps on herself at all times. That way the lucky things can help her when she needs it as well! When she is really enjoying her company, she takes to purring exactly like a contented cat. Certainly a sight to behold!
Always the darling little ball of energy, she loves being around others and playing a good game of either hide and seek or tag. Especially tag if it’s with a larger friend. She certainly wouldn’t want to hurt her small friends in such a simple game after all. The most exciting thing that she can do in a day is to challenge someone new to a good game! Winning or losing means nothing to her, it’s all about the fun she has playing the game. Another of her favorite things to do is rubbing herself on trees and such to really scratch her fur. The feeling it gives her is simply amazing and she would happily tell anyone to do the same. Alongside her love of rubbing up against things is to take a good nap in the sunlight. Something, in her mind, only another true cat would understand. Laying on the cool grasses in a sun soaked meadow is simply a feeling one can never pass up.
Katida isn’t all fun and games though, as much as she would hate to admit as such. This cat like mare has a very possessive side to her as well. Once she sinks her claws into something she lives, she finds it very hard to then simply let it go. Such is the way for a cat when they finally catch their mouse. Though she will allow them to go off if she must, she certainly won’t be happy about it. Even when she does understand the saying of loving and letting go when you need to. Doesn’t mean that she likes it any more. Fortunately for her, this doesn’t really happen too often. Where she wanders makes it rather difficult for her to run into much more than the small creatures she plays with. Which also means she doesn’t really have to give things up as much. The small creatures aren’t really the loving and leaving type after all. And always enjoy having her back again. For some, it seems strange that she doesn’t really end up around many other Soquili, but she simply travels around in areas that most don’t end up crossing paths with.
On the rather rare occasion that trouble seems to find Katida, her claws come out in full force. Much preferring not being trapped into a corner, she will fight to get her way back out of anything that comes her way. Thankfully she is cunning and quick-witted enough to get herself out of any trouble that may find it’s way to her. Only having to use her claws as a last resort. Even then she is quick and agile on her feet, capable of outrunning plenty of foes, just as a cat itself would. Really no one wants to see Katida take out her claws, as they can be dangerous when she uses them to their full force.

xxxxx Katida never wanted or needed for anything growing up. Her parents were kind, loving, and supportive of everything she did in her life. Being an old child, her mother and father only had her to put their energies on. Always teaching her about the world and the terrors that can be in it. A lot of parents they had heard of didn't teach the world to their children and they refused to be that. They wanted to make sure that when she left their side, she would be able to hold her own against nearly anything and everything out there. Though these are all serious subjects, she always had fun learning with her family. And learning was made fun. This is where her love of chasing things steams from for sure. She would be told to find various breeds and such of small rodents so that she could learn all about them. This gained her many friends and she learned what she deems the secrets of the small rodents in the woods. Stalking them is the best way to learn these secrets.
As she grew older, she actually became a bit more like a cat, feeling that she really was one! This was certainly a strange thing for her parents to her from her, since they were all horses and, in fact, in no way cats. But their daughter had seen a cat stalking the same way she does and simply latched onto the personality there. Her parents didn't see that as a bad thing really, supporting her in what she believed. And they certainly understood where it was that she got these feelings from. She really did stalk the small things in the woods like a cat. Though never injured the little guys. Instead making friends with the darling little things. The "claws" and the tail that she wears are actually from her parents. Deciding to help their daughter embrace who she is.
When she did decide to leave, it made her parents sad, but they knew that all little ones had to leave the nest at some point. It was important that their daughter go out into the world that they taught her so much about and find her own way. Katida was pleased with this and knew her parents would always be there for her if she needed them.
「 Future Plot Ideas 」
xxxxx ［•］ Meeting someone who tries to tell her that she isn't a cat would be TERRIBLE, but in a good way. She wouldn't like what they were telling her, but she would humor them by listening anyway. It could form into a rivalry, or even a wonderfully long friendship.
xxxxx ［•］ Maybe there is another out there that believes that they are a cat as well, she would enjoy meeting another cat for sure! A friendship could form in such a thing. A cat can't have too many casual friends after all.
xxxxx ［•］ She would enjoy meeting some foals to play with. Perhaps chasing them around, or them chasing her around. A good game of hide and seek is always fun too!
