((Guess I'll start)) “I will not bow! I will not break! I will shut the world away...”A supposedly one eyed woman sits quietly in the corner of a tavern located on the border between the two kingdoms. She was supposedly one eyed because she wore an eye patch over her left eye, and kept herself positioned where she could see the crowd with her right. Her gaze flickers about the room, before she begins to glance through the letter lying on the table before her. It would seem like a normal letter to anyone else, but it was in fact a coded message informing her of her next mission. “I will not fall! I will not fade! I will take you breath away...” -'I Will Not Bow', Breaking Benjamin

Val walked across the plains, tired as all underworld. He had been at this for days. He had run out of food by now and the only water he had was within his sword's fighting supply. Groaning, he looked upon the horizon once more, expecting to see nothing. To his surprise, he could see the faint outline of a city.
A few days ago he had left a farming village with a mare and was confident he would have gotten to the other town in less than a day or two. Unfortunately, the farmers who had sold him the horse never mentioned her age and that of which horses normally die. Val wasn't an equestrian. He had kept up after the poor thing passed though, confident he would make it.
As he ran towards the city, he could feel nausea brought on by dehydration and pulled his sword out. Saying sorry to the local plants, he swung the sword to gather their water, drying them out. The water formed a stream floating around the sword and he sipped at it until his mouth was full. Also unfortunately, it was all he had, a mouthful.
Grunting, he forged on. Not soon after he had passed, the plants sprung back to life, full of water he had thought he had drained. The wind danced them around, an unseen, dancing taunt that would follow him to the city, with him completely unawares.

Finally. He had reached his destination at last. It had been a long time coming. The tall redhaired traveler was already crossing over towards the large stone gate acting as the check point for all incoming refugees, a mixture of people from across the countryside hoping to escape the poor harvest with relatives found inside the domain of the Light Kingdom. His dark reddish-brown gaze was directed against the surge of humanity moving past him, the hood from his cloak hung over his head to conceal his features. Sneaking past the armored guardsmen watching from their posts atop the gate he wandered in aimlessly along with everyone else across the wooden drawbridge descended for their entrance. Smiling to himself at the successful entry he quickly ran away the gate, his focused turned towards heading to the center of the city.
Rand had managed to come towards a small local market before he drew down his hood, exposing his features against his tan cloak concealing his frame. He was already looking around when he noticed a gleaming pair of crimson gauntlets, his hand going to his pouch for a gold coin as payment. Satisfied with his bargain, handing off his meager earning to the merchant behind the stall, he tucked the red steel pieces within his cloak into the right side of his belt. He moved away to head towards the extravagant castle still along the path from his present location, his eyes glowing at the chance to accept his place. He had felt the calling ten days earlier, a strange longing to come within the realm that whose soldiers had robbed him of his old life. As he stepped closer and closer to the castle a trail of yellow flames started forming in the wake of his footsteps unbeknownst to him, a visible method of tracking him down before the young Guardian was aware he was already being watched.
