[Maya Freana]

"You're not winning any points." Amaya told Val rather bluntly. She noticed him focusing on the waitress and the thought crossed her mind that he was worried about his appearance. Still, even with what she noticed, she said nothing to him, only took a sip of the water that the waitress had brought. "With the war over, you think it would be wiser to stay out of trouble." She reminded him, leaning back in her chair a bit.  

[Valiant Fenris]

"Points?" He turned his attention away from the waitress, sipping at his drink. "Well, if trouble meant working hard to make ends meat. What? You really thought I was trouble?" He gave her a fake look of sadness, like she had wounded his ego."  

[Maya Freana]

"Well let's put it this way. I was in less danger even as Fear when I wasn't with you. I swear, wherever you were, trouble followed." Amaya teased, still leaning back in her chair as she yawned.  

[Valiant Fenris]

Val raised his finger to bicker back, thought of it, and stared solemnly at the table. "Yea..." It was true. He was a burden for her back then. Probably was still a burden. He turned away a little bit.  

[Maya Freana]

"So you're going to sulk now?" Amaya sighed as she raised an eyebrow. Geeze. She didn't know it would be so easy to hit a nerve. The waitress at least came to break the silence, giving them their food as Amaya now took small bites of fruit from her bowl, at a loss of what to say to Val now.  

[Valiant Fenris]

Val hid his anger. Sulk? That sent him from depressed to angry. She was so blunt. Then again he couldn't blame her. She didn't really grow up normal and neither did he. He sat there and stared at his food, not hungry anymore.  

[Maya Freana]

The warrior finished her food pretty quickly, now sighing as she saw Val was still just staring at his food. She wasn't good with people, this was obvious. Shaking her head, Amaya put money down on the table for her breakfast and then got up. "Well then see ya, Val. Sorry to have ruined breakfast." She muttered before heading out the door, back into the streets of the slums.
