Kajiya knew of Evelyn's phobia of children, but she had to wonder. "Why don't I scare you? After all, my body is very child-like, despite bein so sexy." She suddenly realized what was said and pouted her lips. "I make my money... other ways. If there's no fighting, I have no reason to forge. I wont waste my talent on mass producing needless tools. " Kajiya took great pride in her work, and would needlessly rant about it at times.

Evelyn glanced at Kajiya before shaking her head. "Ah, sorry," she murmured. She crossed her legs again and leaned forward, using the counter as support. Evelyn's eyes floated away when she heard about the child comment though. She scratched her head and rolled her eyes before placing them back on Kajiya. "Well, I like you Kajiya and I at least know you are old enough not to be considered a child...You drink like a sailor for sheeps sakes." She had to chuckle there. "And besides." she murmured, pausing to glance around. Evelyn lowered her eyes though, wary of who was around ( Venge... ) and quieted herself. "I don't know if it's just me but....But....Children....well...It's like when no one is looking, they turn all evil...And their dirty....and ugly...And...Wait..." She sat up straight and shook her head. "And I don't need a reason not to like kids. I just don't," she stated, in a much louder voice unintentionally.

"What, did you get traumatized by a bad babysitting experience?" Kaistern joked having overheard that last part as he sat nearby. It wasn't hard to forget he was there. Unless actively having a conversation with someone, he was usually rather quiet. Not because he was a loner, but because he was...really apathetic. He didn't care if he had company or not, his response to anything half the time was just a shrug or a sigh. Sometimes both. But as a mercenary, a man who got paid doing whatever people wanted him to do, he sometimes had to speak up just to remind people he was still there. If he didn't need the money to put food on the table, he'd be just as happy going through life completely oblivious to the world and people around him unless they tried to interact with him first.

Sora looked up when someone mentioned children. She didn't bother saying anything since it didn't involve her. She decided to stretched a little so she had floated out of her chair, and while floating had her back arching. Few knew well that Sora can make gravity her b***h. [Sorry, couldn't help but to phrase it that way]

Rebekah, upon hearing this, decided it was the absolute perfect time to crawl onto Evelyn's lap and hug her around the neck. "I bet you like me, though!" She giggled happily. "Because I'm the hug master. I'm the best at hugs. Mm." She put her head on Evelyn's shoulder. "You get my super-hug, Eve!" Then she squeezed a little, kissed Evelyn's cheek, and threw herself onto Kajiya. "Hi," she said shyly. Kajiya scared her a little, but Rebekah hugged her anyways.

"Shut up," Evelyn replied to Kaistern, sticking her tongue at him before closing her eyes and took a small breath. "They just freak me out. Like one time, there was a child in the village where I lived. She would come by the forest I lurked around in and would pick some flowers and herbs and such. I thought nothing of it and I would visit her from time to time. Well, it was by the time the whole village was dead did I realize she was picking certain herbs to make a potion to kill the whole village with. When I explored the region, thinking of trying to help someone, I found her in her dining room eating a block of cheese like nothing happened! A block of cheese! Cheese! Now tell me that isn't a bit odd. And there were plenty of other times too! Children are miniature psychos who have no empathy; they'd kill you if they had the chance!" By this time, she was very edgy and jumpy, now paranoid for having to bring up that certain memory. And Evelyn's face totally looked as if she were teling the truth. Children always spooked her out a little. Finally, she leaned back and shrugged, glancing at Ren who was busy sweeping in the corner, before glancing at Kajiya. "And to make matters worse," she paused, glancing at Ren before quieting her voice so that the only ones that could hear were those currently in conversation with her, "Ren wants to have...children...It's crazy. And I tried to talk to him about it but he wouldn't have any other way." She sighed. "Men and their dilly dally," she murmured.
Rebekah's appearance in her lap frightened her, making her jump and make a small sound only to be hugged and kissed on. "Rebekah, please. Unless you want Ren's germs, you should refrain from kissing me," she said in a sheepish manner, giving a small smile as she watched the girl turn to Kajiya.

Rebekah frowned. "Well, you could've warned me before I got germs all over me." She rubbed her mouth on her arm, then rubbed that on Kajiya. "There! Now Kajiya has icky boy-germs." The fae smiled happily, pleased with herself for discovering this solution to the deadly boy-germs, which, as everyone knew, caused an incurable case of ew.

Kajiya, despite having boy germs, hugged Rebekah in a death grip and refused to let go. "Oh Evelyn, always remember that your kids will be better than everyone elses. When the child is your own, all feelings for other kids go out the window! Not that I'd know, if I have kids, the parent's just haven't found me yet." Despite the size difference, Kajiya's arms were locked around Rebekah's ribs, as she nuzzled her face into the girls side. "Ohhhhh your so cute! Just four more years. Two, in some lands. One year if you know where to go and how much to pay."

Rebekah was confuzzled, and rubbed her head. "What are you talking about? Are you talking about cookies?"

{Hey, Zimbu? I'm sorry to be a flake, but may I raincheck that thing we talked about for a little bit? Q-Q}
Barkeep went on with her business once the whole affair with Kajiya's undergarnments was over and done with. She easilly noted that Ren was already busying himself with work. She'd always liked that about him. The half-celestial could certainly learn a thing or two from him. With a wry smile forming across her lips, Barkeep snarked at her friend, "If you got off your back once in a while, you might just find life's much more than what fills your bed sheets."

Valiant Fenris Of course, Venge exaggerate the tale and told his little one that the blood was from the beast, but he wasn't going to tell her a bloody tail of how he nearly died. Even here, his death would frighten her. She jumped up and down as he finished his story and ran over to Barkeep, to make sure she listened to the story. She thought her father was cool. {Sorry! I hadn't noticed that part before!}
"Yes, uhm, very...daring! Your father's rather skilled." Barkeep hadn't been listening at all, having been a bit preoccupied with other things. She was only just finishing with her more distracting duties. She did, at least, make an effort to make it look as if she had been listening attentively the entire time. Otherwise, Lucy would give that guilt-inspiring kitten eye look again. She couldn't stand seeing little kids cry. Perhaps yet another left-over sentiment from her life past? Or perhaps she was just a bit more mushy than she let on? Either was possible.
Once the girl had let go, nevertheless, Barkeep headed for her station behind the bar and relaxed a bit as time went along. Most of her duties were done for the moment being, so she could better afford to listen to others if they so wished it of her. Glancing over at the ever so quiet Kaistern and noticing some fresh marks on his face as well, she asked with a small smile, "I'm guessing you've got a new story to tell as well?"
