Van watched her before shrugging
"it's simple
most cases i can brush down my hair to cover my ears and wear contacts in most cases
i don't even go out if i look like this" he said pointing to the black eyes

he smirked a bit
"well thank you" Van said
but it disappeared when she asked the other question
he was about to become defensive and ask her
why she was asking all of these questions
but just decided to answer and be done with it
maybe even take out other questions she was forming also
"transforming" "is my least favorite part of the whole ordeal
half the time it's not as quick and seemingly painless as yours
it's more like a scene from a werewolf movie except i don't turn into some plastic looking werewolf instead
i come out looking like some weird alien creature

and that's what i used to look like normally aka it was my default form if i was killed i'd automatically turn to that
i have to eat people in order to be able to turn back into a human
it's a thing called cannibalistic shapeshifting you can turn into anything you just have to get some sort of dna from it
but it's not from touching

my powers caused me to freak out during thunder storms and sped up my metabolism so i had to go hunting more often

Van was surprised she was sad
it's not like he brung up the reason why he gave up his powers
but he was just telling the truth
"you don't have to go if you don't want too" Van said quietly
actually fond of her company
"there's good things too i guess
like running through the forest on full moon nights like tonight
i'm pretty much the fastest thing on 8 legs
flying is fun too
i had two pairs of lungs so i could be high up in the clouds and look down over the city
like a boss" he started to say hoping it'd cheer her up
"i know it's odd but i liked going out and pretending to be some lonely kid`s pet monster for the night
not to mention making hunters p!ss there pants when they go hunting for sport
deer aren`t as plentiful as they used to be last thing we need is man driving them to near extinction like they almost did the buffalo" he added

he sighed and nodded
"i don't want to sound sappy but i did in a way" he said pointing to his heart
"long story short i had a girlfriend Vera Westmoreland
she was human and we had been together for a year and a half
one night ehh thing got a little heated
sometimes when i forget to go hunting i get a little bitey
she was fine with that
though i think she had a fetish for vamps or just being bitten
i don't judge
anyways afterwards
she had me go out to get her a blue slushie and a box of skittles from the store across the street
i was ambushed by a team of hunters a few went after me and the others found her
thinking i turned Vera
they tried to kill her
but instead just landed her in the hopsital for a month
i visited her as soon as i could
but she blamed the attack on me and never wanted to see me again
she said i a was an "selfish @sshole" and that "it was all my fault" for leaving her by herself and not helping her in time as if i knew this was going to happen ...people say losing a loved one in an accident is bad at least you knew they loved you
but how about said loved one
that you would die for
turning their back on you and leaving forever with a permanent hate in their hearts
i loved Vera
and i thought she loved me too but she's moved on
married with one beautiful baby girl
that's more than i could ever give her
i can't even have childern of my own if i wanted

i seemed to be a bad luck omen to every human i was around which was the main reason i got rid of Synx
i wanted to be normal again but
i didn't want to keep her locked up inside
i`m kind of regretting it though
i feel like a burden to the others
people are still after us not just hunters anymore i don't like being "babysat"

smiling a bit as she saw Van hug Luna back

Van thought a minute before answering again
he really hadn't considered talking to her well if he could
"Synx is well was my animal spirit
she's like my other half
key word is spirit i can't see or hear her
if i could talk to her i would apologise
and let her know i was alright" he said still not too comfortable to let her back in yet

Van blushed
but it was green
mostly because his blood was green he nodded and watched her go almost forgetting about the others coming over to take him hunting with him
Major was a little grouchier though since his animal side and spirit weren't so nice
he moved out the way so she could leave
