It could, but I'd rather you play something different; or, if you transfer the Dragon Bushi over here, replace that character with a different one in Jade Legacy.

Though, trust me, you'd get much more use out of an Utaku Battle Steed in this game than Jade Legacy. If you still wanted to get your Unicorn on, that is.

... if you are a Ronin, you aren't Sparrow. Sparrow are samurai. Ronin are warriors without masters, i.e. not samurai. The only reason they carry katana is because when anyone tries to take them away, the ronin stab them. Often, it's easier just to pay them than to fight them.

If you notice, Sparrow have Honor 3.5. Starting honor for a ronin is 1.5. That's a BIG difference in lifestyle right there.

Technically, the Ronin are masterless samurai, but....

I read that it was possible for a samurai from a Clan to become a ronin due to circumstances. Would it possible for Shou to receive basic training, do his gempukku, then become a ronin?

I wonder how many ronins we'll end up with at this rate. At least all the major clan bushi could go on an indiscriminate killing spree throughout the party if they wanted to.

Yes. You can have Rank 1 of your school, then freely take Ronin bushi schools from that point on without penalty. Right in the Ronin schools rules.

And yes about the Ronin = Samurai Kind Of thing. But no respectable Samurai would consider a Ronin as a fellow Samurai. It's all a matter of perception.

Things will be funny when all the Minor Clanners and Ronin players realize that the true Major Clan Samurai kind of have rank on them!

Fluffs not done, items aren't done, and I might make a small tweak when I see what the heritage rolls say (or when I decide if I want large or not). But he's pretty much done.

Edit: I've already double checked my XP expenditures and Insight, but I could have made a mistake. On to finishing items up now.

Edit Again: Fine quality gear appears to be out of our price range, for weapons and armor at least, since it's 10x the price. So assuming you don't have a neat way I could grab something like that, could I trade my heavy armor and 10 koku for the riding armor or something like that? Unless I can get fine quality armor or hammer, I think that's probably my goal gear-wise.

DESCRIPTION
Like most of the Bayushi family, Juri is a shining example of what can happen when incredible beauty meets the training of death. She's cold, seemingly heartless, and has a nasty reputation for being a condescending young lady. However, most of this bitterness comes from her marriage to a lovely young lad from the Hida Family. Their conflicting personalities are destructive to their home and family. On top of that, Juri insists on still going by her Family name, rather than her husbands. They constantly fight for dominance in the family, and her son is cared for by the servants since neither of them want to give up their duties to their clans.
However, she does take to superstition easily, following both the superstitions of her clan and that of the Crab clan. And to top it all off, she doesn't have respect from her family since her choice of hairstlye and school is not expected of the Bayushi family. She keeps her hair short, to keep honest with herself about her affair with a bushi from the Moto family, though the details of said affair she keeps to herself, especially the fact that she's in love with a Unicorn "barbarian" as her parents called them.
