Kamikiri dodged quickly, then sent a wave of barbed hair at her enemy, attempting to pierce its body and its wings.

Basan extended two wings in front, stopping his enemy's attack by sheer volume. He lurched forward, planting four claws and belching a jet of white-hot flame, raising the temperature of the arena to a level even higher than it had been before Kamikiri lowered it.

Kamikiri drifted back from the flames, but was too slow to completely escape. Flames singed her flesh and burned away a few tufts of her hair.
With a otherworldly groan, she charged her enemy, her hair flying wildly around her. Barbed strands shot once again at her enemy.

The quick bird dodged again, albeit with slightly less ease this time. He stepped in quickly, around the barbs, and lashed out with a bladed fist.

The blow knocked Kamikiri to the floor. She straightened up as if nothing had happened at all and approached her enemy, her thin, pasty hands groping at the air in front of her. Her figure flickered in and out of sight as she drew close. Once she got within reach, she reached out with her hands, pushing them into her opponents body, ripping at his organs.

Basan cried out in pain and shock as he felt barbs and blades penetrate his thick armor and tear at his flesh.
"Too bad for you...a demon's flesh is not so easily destroyed!" He seized the bony wrists and roughly shoved the other demon away, and sent another volley of bladed feathers her way.

The feathers cut into Kamikiri's clothing and skin, pushing her back yet again. Her powers were beginning to fade; soon she would be unable to hold her form in the real world. She made one last attack, using her barbed hair once again. She wrapped it about her enemy and squeezed.

Basan felt tiny blades dig into his skin through his armor, but he was unperturbed. He grasped the tendrils in his massive fists, and yanked hard, lifting an elbow to meet his enemy when she reached him.

Kamikiri fell to the ground as the blow hit her. However before she could touch the ground, she faded. Her power had finally used up; it was time to hide in the shadows once more.

Daisuke's chosen replacement as leader of Team Yakei walked calmly into the ring, which was becoming steadily less usable with every match that took place on it. She bowed gently to her opponent, and seated herself upon the broken stone, partaking of one last cup of tea before battle. She gestured gently to the steaming pot, offering her opponent some.

Erika gladly accepted the tea, chattering excitedly with her opponent.
"We may be against each other in this round, but it's nothing personal. Whatever happens in the ring stays in the ring," she said with a smile and a wink. "Sorry in advance for whatever happens." She sipped on the last bit of her tea, then took her place once more across the ring.

Shizuka smiled and waited for the bewildered demon referee to clear away her tea set. She wordlessly released her zanpakuto, and the bakkoto followed it. She held loosely the two Japanese-style longswords, awaiting the command.
"Fight!" called the ref.
The powerful Visored launched herself at her human opponent, slashing twice with her mirror Shikai.

Erika jumped back, attempting to dodge the attack. She was unsuccessful and caught one of the attacks across her ribs, grunting as she landed on one knee. Without missing a beat, she bounced back to her feet and formed a bow with her energy, her eyes flashing bright green as the energy formed in her hand. She drew back the string and let loose the arrow that materialized.

Shizuka swung her zanpakuto, slicing through the attack cleanly.
"I've fought against plenty of Quincies. You remind me very much of them, so I think you might have to take it up a notch." She smiled sweetly, and brandished the zanpakuto. "Tsukiko alone might be enough to win this one for me." At mention of its name, the weapon emitted a bright, blinding light. She waved the sword and directed a beam of scorching energy from the blade itself at Ericka.
