Tilting his head curiously at the rings, Marosa's mood seemed to lighten at this particular puzzle. He didn't know why, but he seemed to understand from the beginning how in particular to solve this specific puzzle.
Taking the rings, the fey slid them together and eyed them for a moment until he believed he had the right layer.
Locks and strange word things he was unfamiliar with, but puzzles like this? The fey believed he could solve them anytime. Puzzles were a favorite of a Gancanagh's, or at least his favorite - but riddles and the like to all fey were intriguing and had to be solved.
His father was the same way with puzzles, which intrigued him - it was just about one of the only things the only thing they ever agreed on.
Placing the rings on top of each other, the Gancanagh slid them around until they all matched, tilting his head curiously. Well, that didn't work. How about... yes. Turning one over, he fit them perfectly together until they all stacked neatly, glancing up at the Professor expectantly.
He looked back down and frowned. RAEF. That didn't make any sense. Gently taking all the sides of the circles, he flipped it over and blinked. FEAR. Well, that made more sense. To him, it looked a little bit like a dreamcatcher.
Glancing around after having finished his, Marosa spotted another student that needed help, so he wandered over and smiled warmingly. "Mebbe, uh... turnin' et aroun'?" He didn't want to point out the obvious, and his wings sagged as he thought about what he said, not meaning to insult.
"Oim sorreh, I dinnae mean ta insult." The fey truly wanted to try to help and not attempt to solve it for the other. Half the fun was solving the Jacking thing.

Ancalagon watched as the others puzzled together the box. At first, she had considered helping, but...
Externally, she looked down her nose at the group, holding herself prideful and as tall as she could manage.
On the other hand, though, she knew she wasn't even remotely clever enough to help. The last time she'd attempted to solve a rubik's cube, when she was something like eighty-six, she had broken the damned thing. It had been spelled to be sturdy, but the ways it frustrated the Wyrm knew no bounds.
Her heart sank as the others solved the puzzle. While Ala had been nervous, the rest had pieced together the clues and gotten themselves an answer. She inched towards them, peering over their shoulder, jabbing Marosa in the back with a claw.
"It appearssss you are a clever thing," she grudgingly admitted, appreciating the work done. How did classes grade things? Her books in the cave hadn't covered this. "Puzzlessss are a pain."

The End!
As the last ring slides into place there is a faint ringing sound, like an old dirty bell that has been shaken once. Kenner seems thoroughly disinterested in the proceedings, having wandered away from the area, but he circles back as the box finally stirs.
The stack of rings begins to rise, followed by the entire center of what remains of the box. It wobbles. It creaks. Eventually the telescoping layers reach a height that tops the original lid.
A faint gurgle is the only warning any nearby students have. The top of the spire pops loudly, releasing a shower of confetti and bright orange flags that read:
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE UNLOCKED AN OFFICIAL GUNTHER & GUNTHER JUNIOR EXPLORERS' PUZZLE BOX! "Well, there you have it," Kenner says, clapping TG on the back and giving Canon a thoroughly obnoxious fingergun.
"You should all feel like you've done something really awesome here today. Come here and get one of these for your trouble." He holds up the little pouch he grabbed earlier. "And then go on and do whatever it is you guys do around here. Class... dismissed."
Quote: OOC TIME!All done! The box is disappointingly empty, but at least you got a flag and a weird looking aqua seed.
Thank you for attending!

Serafina grinned when the box popped open, but that grin fell a bit as she saw what it revealed. Confetti and flags? Really? Serafina swatted at a bit of the confetti that fell near her face, unable to blow it out of the way due to the mask she chose to wear.
The fingergun made her laugh a bit, at least.
This teacher seemed rather lax about things, but the class had felt fun. At least, she felt accomplished for helping figure out some of those puzzles, especially the decoding one. Serafina cracked her knuckles. She guessed she did feel like she did something really awesome, even if the reward at the end wasn't the best thing she had ever received--it was certainly no promise of a trip around the world--but at the same time, what was in that bag?
Was it something she could call hers?
Serafina moused over to the bag, happy to claim one of the things that he was offering. What was it called? It was a rather odd little thing, and Serafina couldn't help but to poke at it a bit. Was this one of those minipet things? She didn't really have a minipet of her own! Maybe she should start to get some; it might spruce up her room a bit. And this was as good of a place to start as any...
She nodded her thanks to the person who had provided the unlockable ... junior explorers' box. (Seriously, had he just gotten bored and bought it at a store? Maybe he was an advertiser for the company? She was tempted to ask but that would be rather rude, wouldn't it? Either way, it had been fun to solve anyway.) Finally cutting off her chain of thoughts, Serafina wandered out with the minipet in her hands.
((Thank you! sn: seiana))
