Next mission was quite straight forward. Get a list of costs for certain items from around the city, which was so easily done Atsuko was secretly thanking his lucky stars for. With his list in hand he'd fly out the door in record speed with his heart set on the first location, the easiest one. Herbal Furs.
Having just recently met the girl who ran the shop he had no issues gathering the first price. Paralysis Herb [x1] < 1500 Ryo >, jotted down swiftly on the paper. Out the door he'd move after giving a short good bye to the girl and thanking her again he'd be off to the next stall.
The steel thread shop was a bit of a mystery to him, which also forced him to get directions. The first few passerbys ignored the young kid but with enough persistence he managed to get enough lazy pointing to the store in question. Keeping his momentum going he'd find himself in front of and swiftly into the store.
Bulletproof Vest [x1] < 1100 Ryo >, done. The item listed down he'd make personal mental note to come back to this store when the team had more funds, there was far to many goodies to ignore here. Out the door he'd go however without spending a cent, to his last item on his list.
The Armistead Barracks was the hardest one to find by far. Not that because it was hidden, more so that people had been giving him a hard time. By the time he had managed to find the place it had taken twice as long as the last one but he was just happy to have made it.
When he did however he knew why he had failed to find it easily. The place was closed. With another question finally answered he was informed that the silver forge was the place for weapons and he eventually found his way their. Large Elemental Weapon [x1]< 1100 Ryo >.
All of this information in hand he'd make his way back to the in and pass the piece of paper over to the owner. Now was the time for his final mission. [ Mission Completed : Market Prices ]

His final job to do was actually another straight forward one, though it took him out of the town. A patron of the bar needed some extra protection for his trip back to Suna. He originally had four guards but one of them had over indulged at the bar and now was out of commission for the journey back. They weren't expecting much trouble however didn't want to take any risks of their wears so even a young rogue like Atsuko would be gladly welcomed.
At first Atsuko was a bit hesitant to join. The money would be worth it, but he didn't like the idea of flying solo so far out of the territory. After some deliberating though he agreed finally with a firm hand shake. Once he re checked he had all of his supplies ready he hopped on board the carriage a long with the other guards and took off out of the inn, towards the city gates.

Artemis drew one of her kunai, familiarizing herself with its weight. She didn't use weapons often, never really had a reason too. She never instigated fights but sometimes found herself backed into a corner. If she could lengthen her kunai, it'd be easier to fight herself out of it.
She held the Kunai out in a way that felt defensive. The blade itself pointed outward, past her wrist. This position was most often used to block attacks. That wasn't her purpose this time.
She closed her eyes. She needed to focus in order to channel her chakra. She summoned from deep in her chakra pool until she isolated a small collection of it.
She controlled her chakra's motion. She moved it through her right arm and into her wrist. With a sudden push, she sent the chakra to her palm, then to her fingers.
The chakra was then slowly fed into the kunai. The kunai began to glow slightly from her white chakra. It felt lighter, too, but that was because of the charka still in her hand.
She had to concentrate hard in order to make the chakra in the kunai move to the weapon's tip. From there, she worked on forming a shape that was similar to the kunai. This shape stretched farther until it was a few inches from the kunai itself.
The chakra's sharp edge would act as an extension of the blade. The chakra portion stretched according to her will, then shrunk back into the kunai blade itself. Then, she released the chakra so it would dissipate or return her.
She put the kunai away and held her left fist steady - her brass knuckles steady. She focused her chakra through the weapon, sharpening a chakra point. It extended past the outside of her hand and curled back past her wrist, working like a defensively-held kunai. [8/8 Formless - Hien [Flying Swallow]]
She returned the kunai to her bag. She put her fists up in a boxing position - or what she assumed as a boxing position. She hadn't trained in boxing, ever, so she could only guess from what she saw drunkards do in a bar fight.
Fists up, she began to channel chakra to her right one. She focused on her arm, sending chakra there. Then, she moved it over to her wrist. Then, her hand. The chakra illuminated her skin.
Her fist began to glow brightly with her chakra. She took a deep breath to steady herself, then cut back on some of the chakra flow there. Too much chakra and she'd completely break the ground beneath her and fall over herself.
When she was satisfied with the level of chakra in her hand, she focused on her hand herself. She made sure she didn't tuck her thumb - she heard she could break it, that way. Instead, she made the steadiest fist she could and tried not to hesitate in the next move -
She pounded into the earth beneath her. She had expected it to hurt, but the chakra around her fist had protected it somewhat from the rebound. The earth beneath her cracked from the force of her punching it.
Pieces of the ground flew back up, and she closed her eyes harshly as dust hit them. She groaned at the sensation of the earth hitting her, knowing she'd have to shower soon. She stood back up, running a hand through her rock-covered hair. [6/6 [Cherry Blossom Collision]]
Satisfied with her training and her earlier work in tailoring, she felt that she needed something new to do. Her friends were surely building a reputation for themselves by helping around, she could do the same. She looked around for someone that looked official enough to assign work. [exit]

There last job was on the table now. The details they were given was that they were in charge with taking down the one responsible for the actual tsunami. This also meant that they'd be dealing with someone who was at least somewhat skilled. Once they had been paid from their first job Atsuko would gesture for Artemis to re group as he shoved a flier into his pocket, more work for down the line from the looks of it.
"Alright so our target. Suisui Ton is the one that apparently caused this whole tsunami in the first place so that will mean that they know at least some ninjutsu. However they also aren't extremely tough. My idea is that I will run distraction, and once Suisui is focused on me you knock her out from behind. The aim isn't to kill but keep yourself safe if need be"
With this being said and a partial plan worked out the pair would head off to the location, which happened to be close by. The Suisui woman was easily identifiable, matching the description just perfectly to the sketch and descriptive. Atsuko would signal for Artemis to wait out of sight as he approached the woman in a casual manner at first.
"Suisui, you are here by under arrest for causing the tsunami. I am here to take you into custody by order of Takumi"
Of course this bold claim brought a mixture of surprise and a bit of laughter, after all Atsuko looked so young when he wanted to he could look far from serious about things.
However Atsuko didn't let up, and once he started to get serious the woman was quick to retort as the two started to fight. However Atsuko's aim was actually to draw her attention, so all the while he simply kept goading her and bringing her into it more and more. Artemis crossed her arms, feeling irritable. She still couldn't believe someone could be reckless enough to try to flood the city. It had cost tens of thousands of ryo in damages, at least. She didn't even want to think about the human loss. The tragedy...
She nodded at what Atsuko told her. Suisui Ton. What a piece of work. "I wish we could drown her," she muttered bitterly. She didn't want a rap for being a killer, but damn if this chick didn't deserve the worst of the worst. There were children in that market, families...
Artemis agreed to his plan. He was risking a lot by playing bait. She was proud that he could place that trust in her, and began figuring out just how she wanted to knock out little miss Suisui. She watched Atsuko approach her with casual air.
She looked exactly like they'd been told she would. Artemis wasn't sure why that surprised her, but it did. Maybe she'd expected her to look like a multi-limbed monster, some gushy mess of blood and chaos. The negative line of thought didn't stop her from smiling at Atsuko's impression of a police officer.
Suisui answered his request with suiton projectiles. Artemis took the signal and dashed towards the lady. The suiton villain was so occupied with trying to hit the admittedly agile Atsuko that she had no idea what hit her - literally - when Artemis charged her fist with chakra and brought it down at the top of the woman's head.
The criminal crumbled at the feet first, the sheer force from the chakra punch breaking the ground beneath her before she'd even fallen. Suisui was still breathing, as evident by the rise and fall of her chest. Artemis almost wished she wasn't. "She better be concussed, at the least." It wasn't vengeance that made Artemis so angry, so much as knowing that she'd always have to counter-balance all of these idiots in the world.
She looked up to her partner who was probably a little wet. "Another job well-done, partner." She grinned and held out her fist for a fistbump.

The fist was indeed bumped, as Atsuko watched guards come to the scene and take Susui off. Both of them were paid in full and rather promptly. [ Mission Complete : Snatch and Grab ]
It was at this time that they were left with a new option. Atsuko pulled out the flier from his pocket and offered it to Artemis. It would read rather vaguely, Kumo was asking for mercanaries and they were asked to meet at the hospital. Though it wasn't to meet with the kage that much was clear, it also didn't say what the job was in particular.
"Found this possible lead. It seems a bit sketchy but....if it lead to an alliance of sorts it'd be extremely useful to us. I was going to go alone but if you aren't busy and want to tag a long that would be good to. "Sounds good!" She didn't mind a bit of a field trip. She didn't have much on her plate at the moment anyways, and was rather exhausted with her pursuit of tailoring.

The pair would finish up any business they had at the location and make way quickly to the gates. It was time to get the ball rolling for real.

Atsuko entered into the inn, picking a table that was more situated to the corner so as to have a bit of privacy. When the waitress came to the table he put 500 ryo forward with a smile. "I'll have just a cup of green tea and some rice buns, as well as pay for whatever she is having. The rest can be considered a tip" Atsuko said in a pleasant tone.
Only after his guest had ordered and the waitress left would he speak up, though he was careful to keep his voice at lower levels so as not to be over heard.
"I go by dragon or Ryu if you will. I am part of a group called the Shishin, a small organization of rogues currently working with villages and other contacts. One thing that I always look out for is possible allies, and partners. We don't require any sort of formality to work with us of course, as of the moment we are really just spreading it through word of mouth.
What I can offer you of course is someone, or someones, to work with as well as possible access to certain villages depending on where you need to go.
Any questions so far?" Atsuko asked giving a pause, hopefully not overloading her with information. Tsubame trailed the boy into the inn, removing her hat and taking a seat across from him at the table he picked out in a secluded corner. Almost immediately he placed as order as the waitress appeared, sliding half of her current earnings to the woman like it was nothing. In all honesty, she'd rather pay for her own, but she knew well her funds were a little tight, even if she was smart about it. "I'll just have a cup of green tea as well, thank you." Tsu didn't want to use up all of the boy's money, and he only really offered her a drink, anyways. She wasn't extremely hungry at the moment either, even if she wouldn't admit to finding the sound of rice buns extremely tempting. The waitress would get a nice tip too, so there was that. It made her smile a little at the thought of it, and she nodded her head in thanks to Atsuko after the waitress left.
The atmosphere changed rather quickly, as the boy wasted no time in getting down to business. She listened intently, sitting up straight with her hands gently folded on top of each other on the table. He went by 'Dragon', or Ryu, which made some sense to her, since he traveled around with a red serpent. Along with some other rogues, they were apart of a group called the Shishin, working with villages, among others. Which meant the Five Great Nations. She heard of them in her homeland, but had never traveled. It was something to look forward to, when the time came. At least with joining them, she'd have some connections, and not feel like a total outsider. They were looking for more allies, and so far, she didn't see a reason to turn his offer down.
She sighed, taking in the bundle of information she received, looking him in the eyes."Yes. What is the Shishin's motive; what does the group stand for? I'm sure you don't have all of these connections for nothing." It was a straightforward, but possibly risky question. She was not intending to step on any toes, by any means. If she was going to join, she wanted to make sure it was for a good cause at the least. Anything that might threaten her morals as a Samurai simply would not do, no matter how much money she could make.

Atsuko smiled at the question. It was the first time anyone had asked him that outside of his own organization.
"As of now...I am leaving that question rather open. You see at the moment our society is at a balance. The four major villages are at peace, for the most part. The fifth is currently inhabited by the uhv, who is more neutral and or neutral hostile to what I've been able to gather. Tensions are building somewhat towards them which might mean a small scale war, which in turn could flip things on their head quite quickly.
What I hope to achieve is nothing short of peace. One way or another. I personally don't agree with how the villages operate their military. It is very...cloak and dagger. For obvious reasons of course, but some of it is taken to extremes. Any long term goals cannot be necessarily spoken on any of these however due to the fact that we are still quite new, and growing.
In the end all I can assure you miss..." Atsuko trailed off for a moment, realizing he hadn't gotten her name. "Is that our goals for the moment are to grow and help moderate as best we can in between villages. We are morally good and hope that others will be able to follow the example we leave behind" Atsuko finished with. There was a few actual goals he had in mind but they were so to far fetched at the time being. Atsuko liked to plan closer to the present then far in the future.
When he had finished his statement Roxas's voice crackled to life over the communications. It was good, he hadn't been killed in the previous mission. His response started with a smile, one that aroused suspicion, yet curiosity as well, in the female Samurai. There was mention of one of the major villages being occupied by a population known as UHV. Tsubame had no idea who they were, but it was clear that they weren't like too much by the other villages. She wondered how they came about inhabiting the village in the first place. As he continued, Tsu was a bit surprised at Ryu's awareness of this situation. Especially for his age. From this small conversation alone, she could tell that he was incredibly intelligent. His main goal was peace, something that she could agree with. She knew not the experiences of war, yet she wasn't looking forward to it either. Best to be ready in case it happened, than to stand idle.
"Tsu. My name is Tsu." She'd say after he finished, feeling a little guilty for not introducing herself sooner. Eyes glanced to the earpiece for a moment as it gave off a muffled tone. She didn't go any further than silently acknowledging it, ignoring it altogether since Ryu didn't appear to be alarmed by it either. Whatever was going on through the communications device most likely had nothing to do with her, so she found it best to mind her business.
"Your goals are something I can side with, and I'd be interested in joining the Shishin to aid in achieving them." To her, it was more than just a job, or a way to make money, but to take part in something much bigger than herself.

Artemis must have been famished! She drug Houou into the Inn so fast that his mask almost flew off. As they made their way through the doors, Houou would notice that there were no available seats. Then to his surprise, he saw a familiar silhouette in the distance. That was definitely the hooded visage of their leader Atsuko.
"heheheee eyes see if we can sneak up on our old friend there."
Houou said as his inconspicuously alerted Artemis to the presence of Atsuko.
Artemis almost fainted with relief at the scent of food. As Houou leaned in to give her a heads up about their leader, she spotted his unforgettable hoodie and rose to her tippy toes, raised an arm up high to wave, and used her free hand to cup her mouth as she shouted, "AY DRAGON! WHAT'S UP BRO? LONG TIME NO SEE!" She tugged Houou along with her again until they stood by his table only to find...
Only to find...
"Oi! You've already replaced me, is that it? I leave you for hardly a wink and you've got a brand new lass on your arms!" Laughter bubbled up from Artemis and grew until she was nearly howling in the Inn. Seeing her dear stoic Atsuko on a date... it was too much. "Well go on, introduce us to your new lady -"
Artemis' eyes narrowed on the cat mask around the stranger's neck. Could she be an ally? A neutral party looking for some peace or direction, but nothing related to the villages?
