Rider Ly'bur's History
He was born to a privileged family of High Reached Hold, and while they weren't in direct line of the Lord and Lady, he likes to think they were pretty close. All his life his parents told him it was their privilege and right to lead and rule. The attitude his parents instilled into him caused him no small amount of trouble as a young child when he tried to bully the lower born kids.
Lyeonbur was born third of six siblings. He has an older brother(the eldest) and sister; followed by a younger sister, another brother, and the last sister. It wasn't easy growing up with his family, and he often found himself starved for a little attention. To get the attention he craved, he started gathering gossip, any little tidbit of information that he could use to get others to listen to him. He made plenty of enemies when he disclosed his gleaned gossip.
For a time his life revolved around the petty affairs, the drama among his family, and the ring of his cohorts. At his twelfth birthing day, his father started teaching him the family business. For a time his life followed a predictable routine. Until a green dragon landed on the hold's heights. It was that dragon that picked him out to be a candidate at age 15. Then he got all the attention he desired from his family. Proud, enthusiastic parents, and jealous siblings.
He left for the weyr and found himself at the bottom of the pecking order. It was difficult to adjust to, but slowly over time, things began to make sense. Lyeonbur made a few friends among the other candidates as they worked and waited for their chance to impress. It was a long wait for him as hatchings went by, his friends impressed, but he was left standing.
When he was 23 Turns, he fathered a daughter with a lower cavern worker. Lyeonbur wasn't particularly interested in the child and left most of the raising to the girl's mother. He did keep an eye on her through rumors and gossip. Two turns later and his brown Hinburath hatched and claimed him as his rider. Lyeonbur became Ly'bur there after. About six turns after that, he managed to impress a blue firelizard who he named Haunter for the blue's tendency to lurk in shadows and dark places.
Over the last couple of Turns, as his daughter approaches the age to enter candidacy Ly'bur has been keeping a closer eye on her. He's being more active in her life and encouraging her to impress the gold he knows she can.

Rider Ly'bur's DragonName: Hinburath Age: 12 Turns Color: Brown Size: 70' (35') Physical Description:  AdultPersonality: Hinburath is nearly as obsessed as his rider with local gossip. He would happily spend all day listening for new gossip. The brown prefers to lurk on high ledges where he can watch without being seen and listen in on others. If you want to talk about gossip and maybe provide some in return, that is perfectly acceptable. He does not have much patience for those who try to interrupt his gossip gathering without good reason. The brown is quite tolerant of different viewpoints of others. He will easily go with whatever flow is presented to him at the moment. Hinburath doesn't see anything wrong if High Reaches wants to keep to the traditional rider ranking system. While he is accepting of differences he can easily be misguided by his rider when Ly'bur feels strongly about something. Positive Trait List
- Companionly: While Nalacko isn’t a social butterfly, she does enjoy being around others. She does well as a companion or sidekick. Not a leader, she prefers to be a follower.
- Fun-loving: She enjoys the fun things in life; picnics in the warm sun, games, or the rare day off.
- Suave: Despite her age, she can be quite polite and charming. Nalacko thought it would be a good way to get out of trouble if the need arose.
Negative Trait List
- Uncritical: A bad habit of hers is her acceptance of anything she’s told without thinking it through. If someone told her they were a woodworker, even though they were holding a fishing rod, she’d probably believe them.
- Agonizing: Nalacko is girl who worries over her choices. Will she impress? What if she doesn’t? What rank should she choose as a rider? Would she make a good lower cavern worker like her mother?
- Ungrateful: She dislikes her father trying to butt into her life. Sure Nalacko wants a dragon, but on her own terms.
Neutral Trait List
- Amusing: Around others her own age, Nalacko does her best to be funny and keep others laughing. If she sees someone who's down or having a bad day she'll make the attempt to cheer them up. While she tries, she isn't always successful.
- Solemn: When she must interact with her father she puts on a completely different face. Nalacko is always solemn around him. She doesn't feel she understands him, since for most of her life he ignored her. Most laughs feel forced when he's around.

Weyrling Nalacko's History
Nalacko is the unusual only daughter of a lower cavern worker and the rider Ly'bur, conceived as the results of a dragon mating flight. She was raised by her mother and other lower cavern workers with their children. She loves her mother, but was rather indifferent to her father as he never came around during her younger turns. Nalacko has a medium sized, oblong, near black cafe-au-lait spot on her torso. She's a bit shy about it showing, so its lucky its in an easy to cover spot.
As a young child she met young Riagan when her mother was filling in for one of the regular cretch workers who was down sick. Nalacko quickly found a champion in a boy only a turn older than herself. She loved to follow him around whenever she saw him. Seeing how well the pair got along, her mother made sure they had time to get together frequently. As they grew up together, Nalacko realized what a true friend she had. She tended to believe practically anything anyone would tell her without thinking about it twice. Riagan seemed to be able to detect the lies and tell her what was true and what wasn't.
At about age 10, Nalacko developed an interest in playing in the mud. One of the potters of the weyr saw her trying to build weyrs and dragons out of the mud which didn't hold it's shape well. He brought her to the pottery shed and began teaching her the ways of clay. She loved every moment of it. When Riagan started learning glass work, she shyly begged some of his small pieces to use in her own pottery. A bowl she'd made encrusted with small pieces of glass around the lip was presented to him for a birthing day present.
Two Turns ago, her father started to take notice of her and coming around more often. She could tell he wanted her to stand for the clutches. He kept talking about how she would clearly impress a gold, and how much better she was. While a small part of her wanted to believe him, she'd also listened to Riagan on his views of unequal treatment. Nalacko knows she wants to impress, but any dragon would be fine with her. She knows she doesn't want to be a leader.
The young teen was in the stands rooting when Riagan impressed blue Basanuth. She couldn't have been happier for her friend. Now at 14 turns, she intends to enter as a candidate.

Origin of Name: Feidemeth’s name comes from the Old French word feid. The word faith is derived from feid and the Latin word fides.
Inspiration: The virtue, faith. Faith is confidence or trust in a person, thing, or concept.
Personality: Feidemeth is a resilient and dependable dragon to her very core. She is not particularly loud or rambunctious, but her calm, quiet nature has nothing to do with her being shy. She is the first to be at someone’s side if they are in need, all too willing to lend a shoulder to lean on. Don’t worry. Things might seem hard right now, but she believes in you. And indeed, Feidemeth believes in everyone. She will see the good in any creature, no matter how deeply it might be hidden. Those with darker personalities or desires won’t bother Feidemeth one bit, for she has love and understanding to share in spades. She is particularly drawn to those who are unsure or troubled, happy to offer quiet encouragement or even just her presence if it would help.
She is an earnest and hardworking creature, and will take her lessons very seriously. Though she will be known for working well with anyone and everyone, her desire to help others can cause her focus to slip from her own duties. Feidemeth just can’t help but notice if someone is struggling and will instantly want to lend them her full support. This tendency to become distracted by others will be something she battles all her life, and her rider will need to help her remain focused. She can’t help anyone if she’s making her own mistakes.
Feidemeth can be sensitive. She isn’t the type to vocalize her hurt, and would rather stamp it down so that she can think it over later. However, her body language gives it away every single time. She isn’t particularly good about hiding any of her feelings, and when she’s sad… well, it’s obvious. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for Feidemeth to have little regard for her own feelings. She does not hold grudges and is quick to offer forgiveness even without acknowledgement or an apology. She is the type of dragon that gives people a second, third, and fourth chance, even though she really shouldn’t. She simply believes in the best of others, no matter how they might hurt her.
Positive Traits: Dependable, Encouraging, Selfless
Negative Traits: Self-sacrificing, Sensitive, Prone to Distraction
Egg: A large Sunshine egg. It has a surprisingly soft and pleasant texture.
Adult Size: 50’
Physical Attributes: On the large side of average for a green, Feidemeth is tall and thin. As a hatchling, she will be all gangly limbs and awkwardness, but she’ll be quite graceful and almost willowy once she finishes growing. With a long neck and tail, she’s quick as a whip in the air, but lacks stamina.
Additional Notes: Flights are the one time that maybe, just maybe, Feidemeth might allow herself to be a little selfish. It will not be uncommon for her to form crushes on whomever catches her, though whether or not they last is another story.
She is also an incredibly brave Threadfighter, and she won’t hesitate to risk herself by taking a blow meant for another.
Impression Effect: A weight has been taken off of Nalacko's shoulders. She has effectively been given a new lease on life, and with that lease come certain side effects. Please kindly take a solid +10 to charisma, and +10 to endurance.

You gotta have faith. Fortunately, Nalacko now has Feidemeth, who will be a forever companion through the rest of her life and beyond. She need never again worry that she'll walk away empty handed from a clutch, for the perfect dragon has joined her on her life's journey. Feidemeth's sensitivity will surely find a balance in Nalacko's humor and charming nature. Inclined toward helping others, Feidemeth will find a boon companion in Nalacko, who can lend her eloquence and charisma to the green's efforts to comfort others. Knowing just the right words to say is such an important skill, especially when it comes to providing comfort. Perhaps Nalacko can also help Feidemeth learn a little in the way of subtlety when it comes to displaying her own hurt feelings, for it is almost distressingly obvious when the green is feeling wounded. As luck would have it, Nala will never have to worry again that she'll be pressed into a leadership role, for her green's hide will prevent that from happening at High Reaches Weyr. Instead, they can focus on being a damn fine new fighting pair.
