Everything was happening fast. The old lion was not able to get his legs to move as quickly as he wanted, nay, needed them to. He was doing what he could to shake shocked Pridelanders out of their trances, to get them to fall back to Pride Rock. It offered shelter, and though it couldn't nearly fit everyone within it or under it, it offered a sense of safety and shelter from the toxic storm that was brewing around them.

"Come with me," he spoke to a scared lion, ushering them towards Pride Rock. The beast had fallen to the ground, and so the only risk left were the stars falling from the sky. Simi was perhaps not taking it so personal as Tau, seeing the old kings fall. Who was to say it wasn't the old kings trying to take down the black flamed creature that challenged them? Such a force of power was uncontrollable, and Simi's mixed emotions on the deaths of so many around him would have to be sorted out later. For now, he needed to help more survive than fall.

He caught a glimpse of Tau, looking so defeated by the destruction around them. Simi was too far away to snap the King out of it, so here merely just hoped that the fledgling king would figure it out. This was the moment that proved who was a leader, and who was dead weight.

Another shard of rock fell from the sky, close to where the councilor stood. The piece shattered as it landed on a stone, bits and pieces flinging into Simi's side. It stung, but it wasn't enough to stop the old lion.

"Come, let us go!" he yelled as loud as he could, following a trail of lions towards Pride Rock. Tau would have to do his best, and Simi only hoped that those lions that were running in the opposite direction would somehow find their way back home, once this was over.

(Jasi - 2, Ama - 1)

"This is such bullshit," Jasi swore under her breath as she tried to comprehend what was happening. How did one scouting mission turn into such a giant ********? Jehanum was missing, stupidly running straight into the lions instead of away, and now Jasi had no idea how the hell she was supposed to retrieve him. It wasn't possible to return for help, so she had to locate Ama within this chaos and figure out an impromptu plan. Thankfully, the male hyena was fairly composed after their initial brush with the creature, and his levelheaded nature assisted her in taking a moment to just breathe.

"It is," he agreed. "But complaining won't change this situation." His red eyes scanned the situation before them. Two hyenas against a swarm of frantic lions...and no hint of where Jehanum had run off to. It would have been easier before the stars began to fall, but that chaos just made everything swarm like the lake during a storm. Ama sighed, knowing that they were going to have to go into that storm to find the stupid young male. "Do you think he's even still alive?" Jasi asked, and Ama only grunted.

They began to approach the chaos, dodging shrapnel and bodies alike. It would be odd, reporting all this destruction to Masuko once they returned. So much hatred and blood had been shed between the pack and pride over the years, and yet the stars did more damage than the hyenas could even dream of. The conflict between each had died down a bit over the years, though Masuko was not one to forgive a transgression. True peace would never happen...especially when they had their lion slaves.

Speaking of.... "When the hell did he get here?" Jasi's eyes narrowed suspiciously. Masuko always told Jasi just about everything, and she certainly would have told her if she planned to sent Ruslam after them for assistance. Did Masuko really believe that they would fail their scouting mission, or did those blasted bone readers warn her of this destruction?
If they knew, and didn't tell Jasi....there would be more blood spilled tonight.

"Our Alpha is wise," Ama noted without looking at the dark lion any further. "Keep focused. We must find Jehanum."

It felt strange to walk in these lands, like this. The grass crunched under his paws, reminding him that the drought was beginning to seize these lands. How odd, when he could recall hearing stories of other lands being drenched in too much water. What was it that always caused this unbalance, this seemingly unfair way in which the world turned?

It was the gods, of course. Pity that it seemed like the Pridelands' ignorance and refusal to accept gods had doomed them. Fools.

It wasn't easy finding the stupid boy. The dark lion pushed his way through panicked lions, snapping his jaws at a few that seemed unable to move. Didn't they realize that if they stood still and did nothing, they would certainly die? The stars were falling, casting their judgement on all those who would pretend that they were innocent. Innocence was a thing lost once your mane grew in, or your body stopped growing. Every one of these adults certainly had their own sins to bear; wasn't this their fair punishment for their ignorant ways?

He sighed, pushing another body over as he finally caught sight of the hyena. Cowering underneath half of a broken tree, as if that would save him. "Get out," he ordered, the shocked face of a terrified hyena peeking out and up at him.

What...what had happened? Jehanum had no idea what was going on, only pure fear had kept him alive so far. His neck was still stinging from the hair yanked out, and the faces of all those lions at him...he had hid as best he could after he ran from them. Some of them had looked angry, and others had looked concerned. Jehanum didn't carry his own personal grudge against lions, though he was starting to understand how fear could turn into hate. This night had turned out to be more terrifying than the night he had really witnessed who his father was. Who the god in the sky was demanding for. Where the red from his neck and paws came from.

He understood what hatred could be. But...why hate, when there was a drive to live?

The large hyena inched his way out from under the tree, the impatient lion grabbing his neck and yanking him the rest of the way out. Jehanum yelped, the throbbing in his neck yelling louder and louder in his eardrums. The screams around them seemed louder now, the sobs and the stillness that came with death.

"Come now, don't you want to return to your father?" the dark lion hissed, a savage grin crossing his face. Jehanum whipped his head upwards to Ruslam, an unease settling on his body as he tried to push himself upwards. Masuko's favoured slave was always very large, but there was something else that wasn't feeling right. When the hyena didn't react quickly enough, the lion snarled and snapped at Jehanum, his red eyes flashing gold for a moment. "Move!"

Jehanum yelped, his heart nearly bursting out of his chest. What...what was going on? His blue eyes caught sight of Jasi and Ama in the direction that he and Ruslam were moving, and the younger male couldn't run away from the slave fast enough. He just wanted to go home, and Jasi would make sure that they would get there safely.

When he turned around to see how close behind Ruslam was, the dark slave had disappeared back into the crowd.

(a roleplay between Ecavi and Safaia)

Kituwe's decision to chase after Tau brought him into the heart of the chaos. He could still hear the king shouting but he couldn't work his way through the panicking crowd fast enough to see more than a glimpse here and there.. and then the sky began to fall on the Pridelands. The air around him changed drastically as the need for shelter became more urgent and more frantic.

Get to the king! Find Tau!!

He was lucky enough to avoid being hit by the stars rushing toward him, but the pandemonium around him was inescapable. As others were struck by meteorites and debris, they became a danger to the rest of the lions around them and that was ultimately what got Kituwe. With a yelp, he tripped over an injured lion making a frantic escape and fell face-first into the dirt, completely losing track of himself and his target in the process.

There was nothing quite like hitting the ground with your face to bring you right back into the present moment, and finally Kituwe was paying attention to himself. He was slow getting back to his feet, and he was sure he could hear something important being shouted nearby but.. he wasn't paying attention to it anymore.

It had been such a peaceful night..

-

The swirling mass of panicked bodies was beginning to ebb. He could see that Simi had managed to get a group to follow him to the saftey of Pride Rock, although it wasn't a short walk. He noticed that there were some that were running in the opposite direction, clearly abandoning their homelands. He wasn't sure what to deal with first...but it was a bit hard to acknowledge the bodies that were strewn about, and the funerals that would need to be offered once the sun rose. The king was walking slowly, his eyes scanning for something specific. The dark sky made it so hard to see clearly, and he felt himself nudge a few bodies before he finally came across what he had been searching for. His friend.

"Hey! Hey, are you ok?" Tau bent down to nudge Kituwe, to see if he was injured or not. He didn't want another thing to worry about if his friend was indeed injured. He needed able bodies to help him with his plan.

-

Bleary eyed, Kituwe's world was suddenly brought back into focus when at his side appeared the one lion he was so desperate to find: Tau! He was OK! He was safe and whole enough to be worried about him, even.

"I'm fine! Especially now that I found you!"

Kituwe got back to his feet, sparing a few seconds to look at the chaos around them and then did a wobbly circle around the king. He didn't seem to have even a scratch on him! A wave of relief broke through the adrenaline rush carrying him through the night.

"What the hell is going on?" he asked.

-

He was fine. Whole. Good. Tau released a breath he hadn't realized he held in. This was good. Concern spread across his face as Kituwe did an inspection on his body, seeing that he himself was also whole and fine. His violet eyes watched his friend carefully, concern changing to a mixture of shared relief and confusion.

"I...I think the heavens have fallen," he replied quietly. And he knew he wasn't too far from the truth, though he wasn't going to share any additional information with Kituwe at this point. "And we have to get everyone out. Those that are still alive..." he breathed, pulling his eyes away from his friend to glance at some of the bodies. Some looked whole, while others more openly...showed their wounds. A smile cracked through his face, and though he tried to hide it, he was worried Kituwe had noticed it. He quickly glanced back at him, violet eyes shining with a twinge of fear.

-

Kituwe didn't notice anything strange about Tau in that moment, his words were too heavy. The heavens have fallen and we have to get those who are still alive out.

"Where should we take them?"

-

It felt like a miracle that he didn't see. The darkness probably enabled him some cover, along with the confusion and concern over the bodies. Unfortunately, this was an answer that he didn't have for Kituwe. He looked around desperately, trying to see if there was a marker that would give him a hint as to what to do or say. "Pride Rock wouldn't work...." he was grasping at straws, and it felt like he was taking too long to answer.

So he would turn the question around on his friend. "Where would you take them?" he asked, his voice going a bit too quiet and deep due to the subject at hand.

-

"Where would I take them?"

Kituwe didn't have an answer ready for that. If Pride Rock wouldn't work, where could they go, really? There was the gorge, but that would back them into a corner and if the rocks fell there, it would be devastating. They could head for water, but they were barely surviving with all their feet on the ground now, how much worse would it be there? And it wasn't like the waterhole provided any cover.. The Elephant Graveyard, perhaps? Could they invade the hyenas' territory in the name of safety? They didn't get along at the best of times, the lions could handle the hyenas of course but when they were already in a panic. The Termite mounds? But.. he was sure he'd heard something about activity in the area again. Would they be trespassing there, too?

Frantically looking around him while trying to think, it quickly became apparent that he just didn't have an answer for that. He didn't have it in him to admit it, though, and he simply looked back to his friend with wide eyes. It still didn't occur to him that Tau, as king, should already have some idea of how to handle a crisis, but now that he was looking directly at him, he felt a twist in his stomach.

Something's not right.

-

He had realized that as soon as he had asked that question, the ruse would be up. But then again, he had never been one full of patience. The issue with this sort of game was that it always tied down to patience...and that was something better suited to others not as perfect as he.

"Perhaps you don't know him as well as you think you do," the god laughed as the illusion fell. Sandy tan fur was replaced with blood-red, violet eyes morphing into vicious yellow ones that stared right into Kituwe's. He unfurled his wings, slamming the mortal down onto the ground with his strength. Really, Dath had never had the pleasure of finding a mortal that could rival him, but he was a force to be cautioned against.

"No matter." He grinned as he felt his power swirling around his paw that pinned the brown lion to the ground. Sickly black swirls seemed to ooze out of him, glowing an eerie red as it seeped into Kituwe's form. Dath felt the power rush through his veins like a high, slowly seeping strength out of him as he offered his blessing to the king's best friend.

"You'll figure it out for me. Because I own you now."

-

Kituwe didn't have time to react, he was too slow to realize that he wasn't really talking to his friend. Was he really that stupid? There was too much going on, he trusted Tau so he hadn't even thought.. even with malevolent gods showing up right here, he didn't question who this was. And it was too late now! He was too stunned to react, to say or do anything at all until he felt the strange power creeping from the god and into his body. He growled and thrashed around but Dath wouldn't give up even an inch.

And then it was too late. The struggle stopped and Kituwe was silent.

Obedient.

-

Dath kept his paw on Kituwe for a prolonged moment, making sure that the blessing was passed onto his newest disciple. He slowly raised his paw, allowing the brown lion to right himself back up. "Theeeere we go. That wasn't so hard, was it?" he preened, feeling incredibly proud of himself. Who knew it was so easy to ruin a pride?

"Now. Tau won't know a thing, but just continue being his friend. Stick close to him. But just...make his life a little hard. Cause some conflict, maybe sway him to an unwise choice...you're not the smartest lion around, but I think you'll do a fine job. And stay out of Vitha's path. I think after tonight, she's going to blossom." That last word twirled out of his mouth with ecstasy, a cruel grin creeping up his face and brightening his eyes. He couldn't wait to get a front row seat of what his precious disciples would unleash upon the Pridelands next.

-

When Dath released him, Kituwe got back to his feet and shook himself off. He blinked a few times as his mind struggled to make sense of what was going on again and what just happened.. and the drastic change in his way of thinking. Still, he was listening as Dath spoke, and as his mind and eyes cleared he looked at the god with full attention.

Vitha.. He'd been so suspicious of her and now it was gone. Stay out of her way? He could do that. He had another job, after all. He was going to help Tau, his best friend.

The urgent need to find Tau was suddenly renewed and he took off into the crowd to find the king, an even greater sense of purpose driving him forward now. He had to find him, the pride needed their king and their king would need him.

-

So simple. He couldn't believe that it was going to be this easy to infiltrate and let a pride ruin itself from the inside, like a poison gone unnoticed until it was too late. A wound festering beyond the point of amputation.

All he had to do was just give it a nudge.

He chuckled to himself as he tucked on another illusion, an easy way to go unnoticed as he slipped through the most chaotic night the Pridelands had ever seen.

Magdelena had been missing her mother while she was gone, which she had mentioned visiting a sister. Flicking her tail behind her she had been enjoying the rather pleasant day they had been having when anything that could have gone wrong, went wrong.

She had grown up in this place, knowing nothing but peace and shelter and now that was all being ripped from her in an instant and she froze in fear as lions started to drop around her like flies. As the sky started pelting everyone with it's stones she did her best to avoid being hit and avoid being trampled by stampeding lions.

Mo'onasi recoiled away from Mwisho. The pure hatred in his voice was so hard for her light heart to hear. Such hatred he displayed, and she couldn't remember any of it. Was this something she had done as an adoelscent? She could barely remember that time, as she had been punished with a coma for some old transgression she had committed. Did it have to do with him? Anxiety coursed through her body as she tried to balance control over Lumina's body and her own personal safety from him. "I....I still do not know who you are," she replied quietly, seemingly ignoring the meteorites that fell from the sky. Death's own transgression within the Haven had spilled unevenly into the mortal realm, and it almost seemed like the novelty had worn off for the Goddess of Love. There was too much to do, too many hearts to heal and souls to assist with their burdens. To have such an accusation thrown against her, she did not know how to approach him.

"Ignorance will not save you," Mwisho snarled, gasping for air as he fought to ignore the pain that surged through his wing. He didn't care that the stars were falling, he didn't even care that his b*****d father hadn't even shown up. One half of his hatred was here before him, and he wasn't going to let her go this time. "You can say you've forgotten, but I haven't. I still remember the look on your face when you left me, let him throw me into the chains of banishment." His golden claws sunk into the ground as he pulled himself up, wobbly as he was from the blood loss. He was so much larger than her, Momo couldn't fathom how this creature shared any blood ties with her. Unless....?

Unless....was this something from her past life? She had been around long enough to witness the cycle of reincarnation herself, though she held no memories of her past life. No family except the one she had made, even if it wasn't a situation she had appreciated. Over the years, she had healed, made peace, and though she hadn't seen Dathcharu'kai since then, Mo'onasi felt stronger than she had been then. But...to claim that...was her destiny really tied with him, with the both of them? Was this Mkodi's will, or something more?

She had lapsed in judgement and let herself zone out for a moment. Hot breath on her neck snapped her back into reality, and she realized too late that Mwisho was next to her, close enough to hurt her. She tried to push herself back, but he had begun to speak to her again. "I will force you to remember," he breathed again, the dread sinking into her legs again as the turned to stone. Her wings began to fluttered against the still wind, the meteorites a thing forgotten when sharp teeth were threatening to sink into her neck.

"Are you sure you want to do that?"

An interruption shocked Mwisho inches back from Momo's neck, and she snapped her wings back to pull her two feet away from her near death experience. Lumina's form still laid on the ground, currently unclaimed. Her eyes shot down towards that poor lioness' form, though she felt like she recognized that voice.

All eyes around were suddenly on the dark lion's form. A simple mortal, though one that had significant size for being a mortal. His red eyes looked like they didn't have a care in the world, especially for interrupting the discussion between two obvious gods. But fear wasn't something that he had; it had long been given away to another. "While she is rather intrusive, I would appreciate you didn't kill her."

Momo couldn't believe that there was a mortal foolish enough to confront them both. She was harmless to mortals, but he...he was so full of hatred it nearly made her sick. It oozed into the air, the sickly sweet stench of his blood amplifying the tension in the air. She had witnessed other mortals trying to distract him, but thankfully none had been foolish enough to get within feet of him. "Please run," Momo cried out, her conflict between protecting him and finally getting Lumina's body away from here clearly written on her face. Her heart was beginning to absorb the poison that Mwisho was dealing, and she hated it.

"Hah!" the dark lion laughed, keeping his eyes on Mwisho instead of the striped goddess. "For once in your life, you actually showed some compassion to me. I'm so touched, Mo'onasi."

"How do you..."

Mwisho was beginning to slip under the pull of consciousness, the blood still seeping from his wound. He was Destruction, not Reconstruction, and so he had no means to stop the wound from weakening him. His foolish behavior in pushing himself further and further towards his goal would ruin him. But to have his mother here, so close to him, he knew that he couldn't let himself stop. But to hear this mortal utter his mother's full name...his eyes shot to the brown lion, his fur prickling along his back.

"Ahhhhhh! It's been too long!" Dath threw his head back, enjoying the attention that the two gods threw at him. His illusion fell in that moment, and he was free to stretch his black wings out above him. They were hard to see in the darkness of night, though he didn't even care if other mortals saw him. This was his moment to shine. "Did you miss me? I'm hurt you never tried to find me again, though I am a busy man." He waves a paw in the air, ignoring the foaming rage that Mwisho was coughing up. "I had quite a plan for his area, but then you had to go and mess it up. I am resourceful enough that its salvaged though. So please, run along now and don't come back."

Momo shied backwards, realization hitting her like a rock in her gut. He was here...this whole time?! All those lives...was it possible that any of them could have been prevented if he had actually shown himself earlier? But Momo realized that the meteorites were due to Death's actions, not Mwisho's. All those that died here....probably would have died regardless. "I..."

But she was cut off. The moment that Dath revealed himself was the moment that Mwisho turned on him instead of Momo. The adrenaline that coursed through his veins was reviving him, and he could fell the pull of his domain attempt to cloud his eyes. He was so close to doing what he had always wanted; revenge against his parents for abandoning him, for allowing him to be sealed away as an 'unnecessary' aspect of the world.

"I will...kill you..." Mwisho struggled to pull himself towards his father, the blood loss becoming too much for him to power through. He couldn't die before he killed the both of them, but he was beginning to feel that they would slip through his claws yet again. His tail lashed out behind him, his eyes still burning with a fury as Dath stepped up to Mwisho.

"Kill me? You couldn't even kill a zebra with a broken leg at this point. You're clearly dying, and yet you threaten to take my life? Who even are you to dare threaten me?" Dath was disgusted. Was this some sort of creature that his sister somehow assigned to go after him? Sei was never one to enjoy much fun, and if she caught wind of what he was doing to the Pridelands...she would certainly show up at some point to rain on his parade. He placed a paw on Mwisho's head, pushing him around a bit to highlight the fact that this god couldn't even fight back if he wanted to.

Oddly, Mwisho couldn't allow himself to feel the same blinding rage when his mother said she didn't recall him. He had been half expecting it at this point...the savage insult that he was so beneath them they couldn't even bother to remember him. His strength was ebbing from him, and he had overexerted himself. "Mwisho Kilakitu," he answered quietly, the fire in his eyes still raging, but his body slowly going limp.

The end of everything.

His name sparked something in Mo'onasi. It wasn't a memory, but a slight tug at...something. She was almost forgotten, but as she glanced over at Dath again, she caught him looking at her. Their past was far more intertwined than either of them could have dreamed, and Momo wasn't sure how to process this knowledge. Were these really forgotten memories, or did they actually...share a past life together? She glanced away from the two male gods, and Dath sneered.

"Tch. Well, clearly you'll end yourself," he snapped, giving one last shove to Mwisho's head as he begins to walk away. "Good luck with your little plan. I think you'll be dead before the sun is up." And with that, Dath grew bored of the entire charade and vanished. No illusion, no flight. The tricky powers that gods wielded reminded Momo that this wasn't over. She still had this need to get Lumina's body away from Mwisho.

Mwisho. She had a name for him. Now she just needed to find someone that may know something about her...their past.

He had bided his time, realizing that it was going to be much harder to take down his father than his mother. She was weak-willed, too kind. Empathy radiated from her soul, and it was more than likely the reason why she was trying to steal Lumina from him. She felt like there was a justice to taking away what he had killed, but Lumina had always belonged to him. No one else.

While she was distracted, Mwisho bunched up the muscles in his legs, feeding the last of his strength into them. He could easily at least severely injure her now, if not outright kill her; he would find her later and finish the job, and still be able to control Lumina's body. Momo wouldn't be able to get anything from him. And so he lunged.

Yet again, Mo'onasi let herself be distracted, and once again she felt his heavy breathe on her before she realized that he was close. Too close. And this time, Dath wouldn't be there to interrupt them and save her. He was going to kill her and get Lumina at the same time. There was a part of her inside that screamed at the unfairness of it all. She pulled within herself and unleashed her power at Mwisho, realizing what she was doing only after the blessing was already out of her control. "N-no..!"

But it was too late.

Mwisho was thrown backwards for the power of the magic that his mother unleashed on him. It stunned him, and for a moment the both of them stared at one another, dazed. What was done was done, and Momo did not have the strength to undo it. Just the amount of power needed to lay down that blessing was going to overcome her soon, and she needed to leave, now. She grabbed Lumina's body and threw herself into the air, clinging onto the body as she flew into the night. The rate of the meteorites had dropped to almost nothing, and she felt that the air was the safest place to keep away from Mwisho as she escaped.

The god of destruction laid on the ground, stunned. The curse that his mother threw at him was seizing into his mind, images flipping through at a rate he could not process. She was Love, and so she was the one meant to bring two souls bound together for all time...or so he was lead to believe. A curse if nothing else; his only duty was to kill his parents for a transgression he could never forgive. He did not have time for anything else, and desperately tried to will Momo's power out of his mind.

It would be a useless act, as the broken and damaged god lay helpless and alone on the ground, utterly defeated in a night that was meant to offer him victory.

The lioness bit at her lip as she watched him reply, but he still seemed to be functioning... hopefully it would be enough to get to safety.

With a nod, Meigui gave him a nudge, "Right, let's get moving. Lean on me if you need to, okay?" The destruction around them was hard to ignore, and with each scream, each thunk of rock against flesh, her ears almost seemed to flatten further against her head. She was almost glad that she didn't know very many people in the pride yet, though she cringed at the thought, not exactly proud of that way of thinking.

Shaking her head, she started hurrying towards the rocky overhang.

AstoriaFallen

A loud, worried whine escaped Carbuncle's throat as he moved in close and nudged at Noct's face, barely registering the other lion beside them. Please be okay! That wound didn't look good, but he was still breathing....

The jackal gave another whine, this one more relieved, as his friend shifted then and one pain-filled blue eye looked back at him.

The male grimaced as the ringing that had started up when he was hit began to fade but the pain only seemed to get sharper. Gritting his teeth, he tried shifting before realizing very quickly that yeah, no, that was a bad idea. Biting his tongue to try and stifle the yowl, Noctis closed his eyes against and tried to focus on his breathing.

Finally, he lifted his head up, "I... I'm fine." He was not, but there was chaos going on all around him, and the number of gods ahead of them just got larger and oh, this was a terrible spot to be in.

Every time he tried to stand though, he'd let out a hiss and end up falling back down.

Which of course just threw Car into even more of a panic. "You're not fine!" His large ears were plastered against his head as he looked around, "I... I can find help!" He whirled around to look at Argy, "I can find someone, but I can't carry him out of here."

He hadn't been sure how it had happened, but Obi had somehow ended up near the Pridelands, a place he wouldn't have gone if there weren't extreme circumstances going on. Unfortunately the crisis had forced him to find shelter somewhere, and he had thought that the Pridelands might be the best place to do it.

Clearly he had been wrong and burying himself underneath a rock probably would have been better.

What was happening... he had never seen anything like it! It was as though the world was falling upon all of them, and sadly many lions hadn't made it. Obi himself had almost been killed by the falling rocks a couple of times, and had only managed to survive by sheer luck.

He had gone underneath the overhand which seemed to be where most of the other lions were staying, looking at the sky, wondering if the rocks would ever end. And eventually... they started to slow down. But that didn't mean that it was safe. It could just be the calm before the storm. What if there was something after this?

"Yes, let's get to the overpass as quickly and safely as we can." Maahes said as he did his best to move along with her towards the protection of the over hang.

Argy was really concerned for the male beside him and did his best to lean into him so he'd have some support. "Here, lean on me and we can probably get over there together."

While he hadn't gotten to formally meet her family, he was familiar with who they were. Turning to look at her, he knew that the pain she was feeling wasn't anything that would go away soon. Moving towards her he draped himself around her in an embrace, it was a mixture of support and a will to want to protect her from everything else that was going on. "It's not safe here, we must move." She could grieve once they were somewhere she wouldn't be hurt.

Diora was busy trying to get her mind straight. SO many laid dead around her and injured it was hard to figure out who to treat first. Moving over towards Prom and his son Argo she tried her best to hide the grimace on her face as she approached. It looked like his jaw was dislocated a bit and she gave a quick look and then grabbed his face and did something to it and an audible pop was herd. The male let out a yowl in pain but then was relieved that the pain was gone. "Thank you. I thought I wasn't ever going to be able to use my jaw again." It would have made eating very difficult for him.

Argo let out a sigh of relief. "Let's try and find other's that might need help. If you're not too injured?" His father turned towards his son and gave a nod. "No, I'm not to hard, let's get to this." The two set out to look for others to help get to safety.

Nesrin and Areo got Kimara quickly to the safety of the overhang and looked her over, she was groaning a little bit and starting to come to but was otherwise unconscious. Starting to somewhat become aware of what was going on she was still stuck in the void of her mind. To the two males though she was still just pretty much alseep for now, but at least moving. This was a good sign and the two males let out a laugh each in relief.

"I think she'll be okay."

"I do too, but there are other's that aren't." The silver male said with a frown.

"Yes... We can worry about that later though. You stay with her since your paws are pretty damaged, I'll see who else I can help." The dark purple and orange male said as he left to go find others to help.

Magdelena watched as lions died around her and she crouched low to the ground. She was uncertain of what to do, where to go. The images of her youth bounced through her mind, it was as if she was that small cub all over again, being told by her mother to run and hide. Letting out a cry she darted in no particular direction, trying to run from her past memories and the present dangers.

Kitoko wanted his mother, despite the fact his father was standing right next to him. Curling his tail around his feet he huddled into a small ball, waiting for his father to take him to safety.

Sometime later, after what felt like a lifetime had passed, Jiniya finally got her paws moving again. She lurched, stumbling to the side and wretching in a trampled, charred patch of grass. She was useless. Not only had she somehow been missed by the falling stars that had injured or killed her pridemates...but in the aftermath, she hadn't been able to help, in any capacity - instead, eyes glazed with tears, she'd remained rooted in place, nearly blinded by thr tears of horror and grief that even now had her choking back a keening wail.

She'd remained close enough to see the end of the altercation between the gods, and yet had been so enmired in the shattering of her belief that everything would be okay. As of now, she couldn't believe that anything would ever be okay again. Steadying herself, she breathed in and out, shaking from head to toe. She couldn't stay here, that was for certain. Looking around, others seemed to be helping any surviving injured back towards the pride rock, leaving her lingering uselessly where she stood.

And then, as if her brain was finally coming alert, she froze. What about her mother? Her siblings? Her lungs seized as a new wave of panic washed over her. She fought with it, shoving it down, where it lay like a heavy, squirming mass in her gut. She needed to get back to the pride rock, to find out - but she'd be looking among the fallen, afraid she'd see a familiar pelt.

Tala was still in a stupor, plagued by lost blood and lingering herbal remedies that had long been designed to turn her 'off'. Had it not been for the ministrations of both Adar and his smaller companion, she might have perished alongside the other victims that evening. Nevertheless, she was fortunate that the black lion was seasoned in tending to the worst of wounds and while her wounds wouldn't look pretty, they would be cleaned and sealed in some form.

It was quite some time before he was able to relieve the now very tired deity from her duties, extracting her from the top of Tala's neck to settle her beside him. Unsurprisingly, Di Yi had been in a state of disquiet for some time and her young mind now struggled to come to terms with all she had seen. Alas, Adar couldn't blame her for this given she had seen both fire, fury and miraculous powers which she hadn't yet exhibited.

...More importantly, she'd seen dispositions she wasn't 'accustomed' to. After all, despite her own heritage Diyi's parents (particularly her mother) hadn't been cruel to her. While Di Yi hadn't agreed with the treatment of the servants, that didn't mean that her world had been filled with violence and cruelty...just a great deal of greed and sloth.

After a pause the lion had lowered his gaze to check the wounds of the white lioness who was slowly coming to, and though she wasn't able to construct coherent sentences, he was at least relieved to see that she was gazing towards both him and Di Yi. She regarded him with alarm, another revelation that came at no surprise to him given what she had been through but she seemed settled with Di Yi.

Well, she was a cub after all, hardly threatening.

"Why did he do that?" Di Yi asked softly as she gazed at the now slumped mount of divine flesh nearby. She could sense the life trailing out of him, leaving his form, and it seemed that no one would go to him. He was angry and he was hurt, but did that really mean that anyone was meant to be thrown aside as an unwanted scrap?

...Wasn't this what his father had just done?

Di Yi couldn't quite comprehend it but she was fairly certain that the black lion of destruction had been left at the wayside, no one wanted him and no one saw value in him. He was just going to be left to die...

"Which?" Adar asked softly as he shifted Tala to a mroe comfortable position. She murmured in response, though remained a fairly dead weight for the time being. He'd count himself lucky that the meteorites weren't falling anymore.

"They're leaving him alone, they aren't helping him. He's not feeling very well." She shook her head. On the one paw Adar could see her point and he noted she desperately wanted to go over and 'help', finding the unwanted 'waste' seemed to be something she was drawn to. On the other, she seemed uncertain about whether or not this would be wise... in a way she'd answered her own question.

"Whether mortal or immortal," Adar shook his head. "Compassion is never a guarantee," Adar pointed out gently. "He has been cruel and for that, others have chosen to turn their backs."

"He didn't hurt that one that disappeared!"

"The same principle applies, not everyone you meet will be nice," he patted the cub gently on the head as he surveyed his surroundings and made a rough estimate regarding the distance between them and Pride Rock. He'd never been there but he had observed where the pride had been running. Suffice to say that it would be wise to get Tala to a proper healer even if she was out of immediate danger now, otherwise she'd have several ugly war wounds to sport at a later date.

"It's not fair..." Di Yi's ears drooped a touch.

"Not always," Tala spoke up faintly, a small smile on her lips as she regarded the cub. She still wasn't ready to move but she was getting some of her senses back. "But seeing the worst of our kind simply means that you appreciate seeing the best far more..."

"Ah, you are awake." Adar nodded. "Good."

It seemed even Di Yi perked up slightly as she realised that the circumstances were no longer quite so dire for the white lioness, though she was still muted overall. She only afforded Tala a brief glance as she cast her eyes back towards the fallen god... No doubt it was an image she would hold on to for a long time.

Mei threw him a nod at his response, and then tried to move quickly away from the scene while keeping an eye on her companion. She... was a bit too cowardly at the moment to want to stick around and help any stragglers, but the least she could do was help Maahes.

Honestly, what a night this had turned into! She was ready to curl up in the den and pretend that none of it had happened.

With a shaky breathe, and resolving to check on those she did know once this was all over, the lioness sped away from the chaos, making sure to keep her gaze away from the fallen and the crying.

----

Noctis glanced over at him silently for a second, before nodding and pushing himself up painstakingly to his paws. He grimaced at the sharp, striking pains up his back, and he would have fallen over again had the other lion not been there to catch him as he started swaying. He was shaky, but having something to lean on helped. Hopefully adrenaline kicked in soon too so his legs wouldn't give out.

"Let's get out of here." Because he was already ready to collapse again, and the idea of laying somewhere where he wouldn't get pelted by rocks sounded heavenly right now.

The male lion took a deep breathe before he started the trek to shelter.

Carbuncle watched with anxious eyes as Noct got to his feet, ears twitching madly at all the screams and cries around them. Finally, when he saw his friend start to hobble quickly to safety, the jackal hurried after them and yipped up, "I'll help walk over, and then go look for a healer!"

The walk was slow and arduous, but it was a relief that nothing more happened to them on the way there. After helping where he could to get Noct settled down again, the little canine hopped to his feet once more.

"Kay, I'll be right back!" And then he sped off to find help.

Exit stage left? I think this is probably a good place to end off both.

The stars slowed. Though it had only been for such a short time, Natia had almost gotten used to the loud thuds of rock striking the earth, the screams and sobs that rattled the air. Her focus had been on her sister Kore; the way her eyes bugged out, the shrill tone in her screams. Everything within her just itched to protect her, and so she snapped her head and pinched Kore's ear.

"Kore, c'mon!" Natia whined. She was worried that the darker girl couldn't tear her eyes away from all the horrors around them. The longer they didn't move, the greated a chance of being injured by the last remaining falling stars or being trampled by those that finally started to move. "We will be safe as long as we follow old Simi to Pride Rock." She tugged a little more at her ear, though it was more gentle than the first time.

If she had to, she would drag Kore back to the saftey of their home.

"Where did he go?" Jehanum shipered to himself as he tried to find the slave Ruslam. He was just here...wasn't he? Nothing was feeling right at the moment, so he didn't spend too much time reflecting how odd the interaction had been. His neck still throbbed, the cool rustle of a returning breeze reminding him that he was still alive, even with a little less hair. He carefully picked his way between and around lions, many of them either not paying him any attention or merely giving him a glance before returning to their current issues at hand.

Relief nearly made him collapse as he could see the pink in Jasi'a mane. "J-Jasi!" he yelled for her, thrilled that she managed to hear him and see her and Ama coming to his aid. His legs buckled a bit, but he took a few steps towards them.

"For hells sake, you idiot, I thought you were dead," she sighed, smacking him one in the shoulder. At least she wouldn't be returning without one of their Bone Readers, regardless of how spineless he was.

"We should move," Ama calmly stated, his eyes towards the sky. The worst of the danger from that location was gone. The real worry would be if all these lions suddenly decided to fuel their fear and outrage on them, as if it was their doing that everything turned into chaos. He did not desire to attempt a fight for their lives, only 3 of them against at least fifty lions out here...and he knew that the numbers that this pride boasted were disgustingly high.

"Yes, let us get home, Jehanum," Jasi agreed. As annoying as he could be, at least he always seemed to listen to her when she had a request. "Ah, yes!" the shy hyena replied, trying to gather up the remaining bits of his courage and ran with the group back towards home.

Right into a young lioness.

As lions flooded in every direction, frantic and reckless, a single pale form forged a steady pace toward the epicenter of all the chaos. Around her the meteors fell, though they had slowed, pummeling the earth and shaking it beneath her steady paws. Although there was an underlying fear that she might be struck she seemed undeterred from her path and her goal. What had drawn her here she could not have said - equal parts curiosity and worry coiled within her too heavy heart - but she knew precisely what drew her forward now that it was within her sight: Three gods were at the center of this mess and, not least among them, the tormented soul that she had stumbled across what felt like only days before. She could not draw her eyes away from him as he lay there, furious and bleeding, and she felt herself drawn to him like a string tugging her by the sternum.

Was he hurt or was he hurting?

Around her bodies lay crumpled and limp and as blood pooled across the sand and grass it stained everything a mucky red that stuck to the pads of her paws. The scent of charred fur filled her nostrils and hung heavy in the air like an omen, making her stomach roll, but even that was not enough to deter her. This was a place of darkness and destruction but the tug at her heart told her that he could not be responsible for this. He was too linear, too focused upon a single thing, what reason had he for destroying something great? His was an emotional need to destroy but these others, who were they? What were their reasons?

The simple, pale lioness hung back as the two gods that she did not know fled and left him alone, crumpled and broken. It made her angry for reasons she could not explain even if she thought, perhaps, at least one of them was running for their life. So, again, she forged ahead and brushed past mortals that paid her no heed in their horror and pain until, at last, she stood mere paces from the broken male.

"Mwisho," she said softly, calling his attention back to her so that he might focus upon something other than his anger. In that moment she let her magic go and rippled to life as the Goddess that she was, brilliant and pale and full of more light than the dark night lent. A pair of golden eyes sought out a set that were not so different even when they were clouded with hatred and bloodlust. She could ignore the fallen mortals, the female he had killed, the same way she ignored all simple pains in this realm; she was light, not healing, not condolence, not judgement. All things were true before her, evident and obvious in her realm. He could not be more than what he was.

"Would you come with me?"

She hesitated for only a breath before she moved closer, into his space, in a sudden act of trust that even she was not sure he had earned of her yet. Who was she to ask for his if she could not offer it first, though? A deep breath in and a deep breath out steadied her resolve.

"We should not be here now."

Simi was doing his best to usher everyone towards Pride Rock. It was slow going; fear and pain hung heavy in the air. He was noticing that there were some lions that clearly needed some help. He approached them carefully, his old paws never letting him move too fast anymore.

"Do you need help?" he asked, thanking the fact that he was uninjured. Somehow he was whole, so that he could help others escape to safety. Afterwards, he would help gather up those healers that were available, and they would all be able to work together to grow stronger together; to heal, and get past this. Simi would not let this even break the strength of the Pridelands.

He...he had to move. He knew that if he just gave up here, he would be better off walking out of the Pridelands and never looking back. His failures were laying all around him; dead, broken, or bleeding. There were many that weren't injured, but he wasn't an idiot. Everyone that was here was feeling broken in some ways, even if it wasn't possible to see outwardly. He was going to have a long road to help heal his pride, and he was terrified of figuring out where to start.

But the place to start was with his own paws. He pushed himself up, feeling the blood slowly oozing down his chest. He knew that he wasn't in too much danger, other than having a mild risk of infection....but at this point, he wasn't nearly as heavily injured as others. He had to help get everyone to a safe place as soon as possible. That duty drove him.

With shaky steps, he did his best to urge everyone to follow his grandfather. To follow the old king, the one who always seemed to know the way. Always seemed to know what to do. Tau only hoped that he could be like that, one of these days.

His violet eyes laid on Otea....Aoife's mother. He had never spoken to her directly, but....he foolishly had a good idea of her family, as he had fancied her for so long. "...Otea? Are you ok? Can I help you?" he asked quietly as he approached her, trying to see if she was all right.

Nyimak was barely able to answer or see the lion in front of her as she rosed to the sound of someone asking her if she needed help. She was confused about why she couldn't see anything out of her left eye blood running down her face from where the star had struck her. She was lucky her eye was still there and working but the mark from the fallen star would be there to stay. Nyimak shook her head to try and clear her thoughts and then she tried to get up and feel back down the hit to the head and loss of blood a lot to handle for one lioness, after all, she wasn't a goddess. "I think I could use some help." She said in a tone that she was trying to make it a joke but her fears and dislike of the weakness she felt in her body shone through her attempt to brush off how she really felt.

---------------------

Businge was hurt but not bad enough that she was unable to move herself to pride rock, she also searched for lost cubs and others who needed help to get to pride rock so the pride could regroup. When she had started the proceedings with the council she had never dreamed that this would be the result. Death, murder, gods. Stars falling from the sky the kings falling from their throne. She wanted to curl into a ball cry herself to sleep but she had to stand strong her bottom and tail hurt badly but there were others that had fared far worse than she had and she couldn't lick her wounds when others needed her.
