With SG-1, the danger to Earth was far more immediate. Their primary mission was to acquire technology to defend against enemies of Earth. Atlantis's objective is much broader. Research, discovery, exploration; sure they did that on SG-1, but for different reasons.

Well, true, but the Wraith now know that to get to earth the easiest way is through Atlantis. what I'm afraid of is now that their leadership is military, this will move way more into focus. Everything they do might get focused on stopping the Wraith, which is what SG1 did, first with the Go'auld, then with the Ori. I know that SGA focuses more on research, exploration and all that, but that was under Weir. Under Carter, things might get more military, and from a military point of view, stopping the Wraith is goal number one.

I'm blatantly assuming here, but I think that more complex things will happen as far as the Wraith are concerned.

David Hewlett is in reality an incredibly nice guy. Great sport, too. Really fun to talk with. We only spoke for about two minutes, but they were two of my life's greatest.

Well he did go to that con, but I met him first at the local screening he did of his movie A Dog's Breakfast. It's hilarious. You should see it when it goes international next year. 3nodding
