The Umber hulk fixes Ilikan with with a look as if he understands his primal challenge and, with a roar

The Drinking Hall

Valac charges into the room and give the bug gorilla a might wallop with his full blade. Unfortunately, no one else is able to hit the beasts
Despite being dazed the Umberhulk in front of Ruin swings at him and he is hit by both the monsters arms (24 damage) and is caught in their grasp (Ruin is grabbed dc 17 to break)
The umber hulk in the middle turns its gaze to Kuori but the golaith is able to resits it's effect so instead the creature charges her swinging both her arms but only one manages to connect. (11 damage)
Failing to disorient his foes, the umber hulk in front of Ilikan and Valac swings at the warden with both his beam-sized arms and manages to grab him. (27 damage, grabbed, dc17 to escape)
Kuori moves to a slightly more advantageous position (Moving two squares right, and provoking). Then with a mighty bellow of a war cry the Goliath unleashes a growing barrier of force, buffeting back two of the Umber hulks and shielding her allies in one action, crating a golden opportunity for a moment of glory. She looks over to Ruin who is badly hurt. "Ruin, you've still got more fight in you."
OOC: Assuming 23 beats their Will save, U1 is knocked back 3 squares is are prone. Its only a 14 vs U3 though
Ruin may spend a healing surge and gain an additional 2d6+5 hp on top of his surge value and make a saving throw.
All PCs gain a +2 to attack rolls until the end of Kuori's next turn All PCs have Resist 5 to all damage

"Ugh..." he grunted as on turned his lifeforce into a fire to burn the bug.
Shifting and pushing, the small tiefling tried to escape the iron grip. But, at the end only managed to get his hand on his rod. And with great bravado, he said, "Ah... damn it... help." As he remembered the other time something very big had grabbed him.

Grunting as the larger creature batters him and then wraps its larger arms around, trying to restrain his frame, the warden's mouth pulls tight as he scowls up at it- and the air around him starts to go cold to the touch- a light chill for Valak, but the hide covering Illikan turned icy to the touch, his eyes fading to blue, to a pale color, almost silver as a wind howled around him, and he flexed, grinding his heels in as he flexed, reinvigorated by the unnatural chill and ground his heels in, turning his frame- and trying to force the umberhulk to move by its grasp on him, and the wind howling against it.
[Free action: Mark UH3] [Minor Action: Soothing Wind] [UH3 is slid 1 square East, and slowed until end of Illikan's next turn. Illikan recovers 24 HP spending his Second Wind.]
Taking a deep breath to steady himself, the warden shifted his arms against the monster's elbows- and then pushed out with all the might he could muster, splitting it's grasp on him open- and shoved his shield up at it's mandible as he brought the hammer around to swing low at it's side, whipping that cold wind into a frenzy, and a sudden crackling BOOM through the air.

"And now for you!" Revenge would say, turning to the one on the right. Feeling the energy surge within him, Revenge leapt up on the overturned table, before leaping in the air, his blade raised high. As he reached the apex of his leap, the sword would darken the air around it, sapping any light from the sunrod for a moment as it pierced the brief obfuscation with a fierce silvery glow.
"BE VANQUISHED!"
He would land, swinging his longsword down upon the creature for a mighty blow, the silvery essence blasting outward and debris buffeting the nearby area (and probably Ruin).

(The DR5 only applies to the allies within the blast, not the whole team. ) Kuori gets hit by a tree trunk sized arm as she tries to move away from the beast (negated) but then sends him reeling with her own attack.
Ruin's wounds heal thanks to Kuori but he is unable to escape the umber hulks grasp.
Valac once again leaves a gaping would in the umber hulks flesh with his greatsword.
Ilikan escapes from the umberhulks grasp but as he tries to smash it with his hammer the beast fends off his blow.
Though Revenge's dazzling flare misses his mark he careens into the monster with a mighty charge, leaving it almost dazed. Yet, its hungry eyes still fixate on Ruin. It attempts to pull the tiefling in half with its strong arms (20 damage). For his actions he feels the sting of Revenge's divine challenge.
The prone umber hulk stands up and moves over to Ilikan while the other one swings wildly at him. He hits him with both his arms and grabs the warden again but thanks to Kuori's blessing he bares feels the hits (11 damage total).
Irene peaks her head around the door. "Woah! Umber Hulks! How fascinating!" She pulls out her book and begins to hastily draw.
Kuori, seeing that Revenge has rushed off to Ruin's aid, decided that finishing off these two Umberhulks would be the better use of her time. As such she marched right on up to one and focused he power, a shadow spreading around her as ghostly hands clawed up from the ground, eager for a meal. Whom was she to deny the hungry dead? She raised her morning star with such speed that the wind around it was audible. She plowed it straight towards the creature's mandibles. "Lets end this."

Kouri charges forward with her mace as the ground around the monsters shifts with phantom limbs grasping at their feet. She smacks the umber hulk upside its head, definitely getting its attention.
Ruin blasts the the umber hulk holding him in its face, but it doesn't let him go.
Valac continues to be successful in his mission of cutting the oversized bug gorilla in half.

The warden smiles grimly as the giant bug assaults him and grabs him again, mandibles snapping near his face, even as the second one moves over after him as well- he shoved his shield into the snapping jaws and levered again until he broke its grasp open.

"Finally, making me earn my pay." The repeated bludgeons hurt, bruises welling up under his armor and his body aching- but the grin didn't go away, even as the pain slowly receded into numbness, the cold air around his body intensifying, actual frost growing over him and out from his feet, covering the earth and trying to climb the legs of the umber hulks but seeming to ignore Valak's, a howl of wind from nowhere picking up, as his eyes changes again- and a set of spectral ram's horns started to appear off his head.
Time to properly introduce his friend.

Lifting the hammer, frost growing off of it's head almost like jagged, grasping branches, and made a wide swing- hammer tracing a wide arc past the creatures from one side, than the other, accompanied by two piercing howl's of wintry air, and that frost by their legs growing increasingly aggressive in trying to stick them in place, forming thicker and numbing the captured limbs.
[Standard Action: Form of Winter's Herald] [22 vs UH3's AC, 33 vs UH1's AC] [On-Hit: UH3 takes 16 cold damage, is immobilized (save ends) and knocked prone. Ilikan breaks free and freezes one of the umber hulks in place. Revenge also gives the umber hulk in front of him a nasty cut a he heals Ruin.
However The umber hulk still does not give up his prey as he continues to try and pull Ruin apart (20 damage)
The umber hulks in front of Ilikan flail wildly at him but they only manage to hit him once (5 damage)
