Well, I must say: I'm surprised. Usually I don't have to look very far to find someone saying something stupid. I'm at a loss. Congrats, SN, this is a first.
@Haruhi: It depends on where you live. If you live in the culture-sucking, education-deprived Midwest, then you're screwed. Especially if you live in Missouri, Indiana, or around there. Minnesota is alright, but still eh. Public universities usually run the gambit from anywhere between 18k-24k, usually towards the lower end. And it's the same for CCs (in terms of where you live), though the cost is considerably less. If you are looking for a CC, then your best bet is to look for one that does a yearly tuition than per semester (though they are rare). The cost also depends on whether or not you will be in-state or not. Out-of-state rates will be considerably more in the long-run. And, of course, the rate per semester depends on how many credits you take in that semester. Out here, you can take upwards of around 30 credits for around 2500. Adding fees and all that, the usual CC experience for one year will be 10k-11k.
