Well well... You know your old when the Gaian Geezers come seeking you out. Thanks for the invite to the Guild. I think this may prove benefitial.

Okay, yeah... I suppose I am - as of last August 30th - a new recruit to the Gaian Geezers Guild. Well, if it makes anyone feel any better about themselves, I am 21 in age, but 48 in spirit. The term 'Act-My-Age' has nothing on me. For example:

1.) - For the last two years, I've been working at a Nautical Antique Shop in Seattle's Pioneer Square called Cuttysark. My boss, the former co-owner and head of Q-13 Fox, is 68. My co-worker Hans, is 60. Oddly enough, I act more mature than thes two. I find myself saying things like, "Don't make me turn this shop around" & "Go to your Office. Don't give me lip."

2.) - For the last three years, I've been a dedicated member of the Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society: The Only Maritime Heritage Group with personal expierene of sailing tall ships and first hand accounts of sinking the 'Bismark' in WWII.

3.) My Saturday Morning Cartoon Lineup Includes: Little LuLu, The Three Stooges, The Little King, Our Gang, Merry Melodies Variety Hour & The Adventures of Long John Silver - followed by an hour of radio daytime drama featuring The Shadow.

Is there something wrong with - wait - what was I saying?
Oh, well I can't remember. You there - pass me my crutch!

47 years old, I am an adult, I refuse to be a grup. If you are "all grown up" where is there to go and grow? I teach kindergarten because that is about my level.

growing up is over rated. I think of grown up, and I picture June and Ward Clever. Well dressed, but a little stuff and stale. Age is an odd thing, I'll be 40 in august and I don't think of it as being "old" or getting older. I have a friend who is very slightly younger, and she's upset about being old. I don't get it - and I'm very happy that I don't.

50. 51 in June. Feel 90. Think 17. Hard to get them to fit together sometimes.

55. I just quit teaching kindergarten since I wasn't allowed to let the kids be 5 years old any more. We were all doing well staying young and learning together until I was given a script and told "Don't argue." When I sent in my letter of resignation, the Queen of the Benefits Office called and said, "Take that back! You're old enough to retire." eek So thank you Gaia for giving me a new lease on life! heart
