Adira took a deep breath, calmed momentarily by Galantros’ words. Of course this wasn’t real. She shook her head. She hadn’t seen a true battle…hadn’t killed for close to a century. Being a sex demon, she wasn’t one to enjoy the act of murder. It was true that she fed on the emotions of others (in the past, the emotions of choice had been lust and passion) but she hardly drained an individual of them. The levels of Hell were all different than one another. Some had torture, some didn’t. It was rather like the Greek underworld. Of course, most places in Hell had it but some of it wasn’t necessarily physical. Sometimes, the worst torture was mental or emotional. Illusions of death, pain or loss could cause Hell’s prisoners to scream louder than losing a limb or being stabbed repetitively. It was those rooms of torture that could drive a person to the brink of insanity. It was those rooms that gave Hell its deserved reputation. Adira would know. She had heard their screams. She had been close to experiencing those rooms. Adira shuddered at the memory before something in the sky caught her attention.
Meteors. Like something out of Hell. Adira sighed. Here we go again, she winced. She could handle this. GL had said it was just a game. She straightened her body posture, readying herself for the oncoming attack. She took a deep breath. She still had some tricks up her sleeve.
The meteor hit and Adira went flying. Her curvy body hit the ground with a thud. The succubus winced. She didn’t have time to check herself for wounds when the arrows started coming. She picked one up, studying its make for clues. As chance would have it, her body was half hidden by part of the broken meteor. Many of the arrows missed…except one. It hit her upper arm. Adira’s eyes blazed as she took in the wound. A primal sense overwhelmed her. She had been here before. Not here exactly. The arrows had hit her…What did she do them? Her eyes continued to blaze as she stood. She calmly brushed her hands over her body, removing chunks of dirt and debris. Beneath her fingers, her skin suddenly renewed and evened out. Bruises faded, cuts “healed”. Her curves appeared more pronounced, her legs longer, her waist fitter.
When she spoke, her voice was both projected and huskier. Some of the arrows stopped from a few of the archers. ”You will stop.” She said calmly. The succubus didn’t stop to blink; she steadied her gaze on her prey. Her thrall was stronger than any vampire could ever hope their own to be. She was, after all, a sex demon. Enrapturing those around her was part of the job description. The skeleton creature minions wouldn’t want to hurt their mistress now would they? ”Please.” She sent her command through the channels of the thrall, working their minds, although noticing that they were not exactly as pliable as a human male’s would be. Adira’s wings swept the ground and she slowly rose into the air. The three skeletons she gained control of turned on their companions. A small smile took her lips.
Daphne finished healing Jacob all she could because of Rosemary’s order. He’s not in the best shape, not in the worst. He’s stable. I think. Can’t really say for su— Then, as it would happen Daph was attacked. The knives came flying at her but because of her speed, she was able to dodge most and even pick them from the air. ”Thanks guys!” She said with a grin, ”I had just ran out too!” The knives kept coming. How many did these things have? The skeletons approached her, trying to pin her on the ground. Don’t think so. She thought, her eyes shimmering. Then it hit her…one of the knives. Daphne winced and pulled it out of her left shoulder. Her breath was sharp—although technically she did not “need” to breath. The wound started healing slowly immediately when she pulled it out. Unfortunately, it was both deeper and caused more damage than the vampire realized.
Daphne sent a glare to the offender—although she knew it wouldn’t care. Fine. Let’s see just how much they liked her now. In movements too swift for the naked eye to see, Daphne picked up one of the guns of the ground and traveled across the ground and slashed at one of the skeletons, following with a kick, using it as a leaping board so she could get out of harm’s way…take her aim and shoot. She still was not that good with guns. Thankfully, the skeleton went flying but unfortunately there were more to contend with. A lot more. Uh, Jacob? Do you have any control over these things? she asked with a bit of uncertainty. The answer would probably be a big fat no.
The hounds looked at each other then at the hoard of skeletons. Well this made things interesting. Banquo and Ophelia took off running at the same time. They decided to test the skeletons first before going to extremes.
Phe’s body warmed, her blood sang and suddenly….a ball of fire emerged from her muzzle. The ball was the side of a moderately sized air balloon and it was dense in flame. It hit three of the skeletons.
Ban’s body, on the other hand, cooled. His breath came out frigid, a puff of cold air. He took a deep breath then let a range of ice release from his body. It covered the ground leading up to his victims before completely encapsulating them in thick, clear ice.
Cian nodded to the younger vampire. ”You’re welcome.” he responded, hardly tearing his eyes away from the game. It was getting very interesting. ”Did you know Dieamos could do that?” he asked. Cian’s eyes widened as he watched Adira transform into the…succubus that she was (or at least, half of what she was). He was somewhat jealous of her thrall’s power. His own was powerful due to his old age but it had nothing on her. The vampire sat on the edge of his seat as he turned his eyes to his wife, admonishing himself for looking away. He winced when Daphne got stabbed. He had to remind himself that this was only a simple game and that even if the stab was real, Daphne was a vampire and she would have been fine…Those facts alone wouldn’t stop him from later rubbing her shoulders, though and even checking the place where the knife hit.

Sephiroth extended one of his misty tendrils, reached for the six foot something tower shield, and ducked under it allowing the blades to strike against that. With the very brief moment he gained with that he vanished with the shield and reappeared where Galantros and Adira were and sliced at the creatures assaulting the reaper as he appeared. He didn't dare get near the hounds with the extreme heat and cold they were currently producing.
Regrouping would be the best option I believe. He said as he fell to one knee again and brought up a bubble shield using the energy given off from his wings around them to prevent more from coming near and to give Galantros time to do that. He was breathing slightly pained and heavily, having multiple tendrils putting pressure on his stomach wound.

Rosemary sent her coat into another dimension and activated her somewhat embarrassing form fitting elite armor. It covered her whole body, yes, but it showed off every curve without being naked. The only thing it was missing were stilettos, which she could actually have form if she wanted. Not to mention she would have been easily able to function in the given situation with them on.
Of course Veni, who appeared in a roadrunnerish fashion as she got out her Limboian Heavy Suppressor, was enjoying the view. Why didn't she have stilettos appear he wondered. She wore them things almost every day ever since they first appeared and were the standard for working women. Ah well. She threw him another ammunition dimension and one of her stunning leecher blades which caused him to blink when he got it. She stocked up for an apocalyptic battle or something. That's the last one he was informed though.
Rosemary lifted up the 4 1/2 foot several hundred pound gun one handed like it was nothing, but then decided to help steady it with the other hand. Limboian Heavy Suppressor fires powerful crystal ammunition. It has 6 barrels, presumably a rotating design for fast firing. Settings: single shot, several different types of bursts, up to full automatic. Speeds: Fast, faster, nearly invisible.
Her ears finally healed but that wasn't going to do her much good. Look at all those targets. That was more like it. She preferred many targets over one humongous powerful one any day. This could be fun. She hoped they wouldn't take her out too quickly.
Dieamos was smart too. Pretty much all of them after them (herself, Veni, Jacob, Daphne, and the 3 summoned) were ranged type. In their world at least one didn't want to get into melee combat with a vampire. Then they all began to fire and she began to fire at what they were firing quickly aiming and hitting anything that would cause serious injury to herself. What did hit would either bounce off the armor or be pushed out of her body. Pain wasn't really an issue to many vampires. While she focused on defensive firing Veni focused on offensive and aimed his quick shot launcher at the crowd.
Now if only I could get the chance to send a tornado down on those distant targets, she thought the herself. The wind angel had been recently testing how to create tornadoes. In fact that's how they ran into Adira; someplace secluded where she could practice various air techniques and safely mess up.

*CLANG! CLANG! CRACK!*
The giant, brutal swords smacked against the shield without mercy. There was only the briefest of pauses before the swords began to come down on him again. As he rushed towards Galantros, Adira's skeletal archers helped him by nailing a few of their own in the skull with deadly accurate shots. Apparently with the thrall controlling them finally, something about it seemed to grip control with them more and influence their actions over time than usual, the skeletal archers using a bit more of their intelligence faster as they took cover and fought for their mistress. *THWIP* A rushing skeleton lost it's jaw, and another harsh arrow shattered the top portion of it's skull as it stumbled, struggling to move with the essence lost from the damaging hit.
"Sephiroth! Fa'Jenul!"
Galantros was glad that he was relieved of those skeletons trying to stab him more than a few times in his stomach. His wounds were bleeding badly, but healing fast at least.
"That sounds like a good plan to me. Adira! Come on, we got to get out of here!"
His tendrils quickly opened a dimensional vortex, while his hands used his energy scythe to slice through skeletons with some difficulty. Suddenly a loud roar. Somehow, one of the giant skeletons had caught up with Sephiroth and had leapt over trees to try to attack them. As they caught up to the portal, Galantros literally shoved his friends and Adira's skeletal archers that were still firing back up shots into his portal. Besides, it looked like the skeletal swordsman in armor was very quickly charging some sort of super attack that he wasn't sure Sephiroth could even withstand right now, and he quickly moved into the portal himself.
In a flash, they appeared in the cemetary. Galantros ran to Sephiroth, noticing that he was bleeding, and went to heal his wounds quickly, still being able to use his skills as a basic healer and the little marble things that Sephiroth gifted him a while ago to repair such things. That was his first mistake.
He just finished healing Sephiroth with a quick fix, when he realized he had left his vortex portal opened to slightly close more slowly by itself. That's when Adira's skeletal archers started shooting like crazy through the closing portal, and then a blur of massive *something* flew out, shattering two of her skeletal minions, and swiftly pinning Galantros to a tree, even chopping off a few tendrils when he tried to catch it, being unable to dodge out of the way in time. It was the giant sword from the skeleton monster, and it pierced a vertical hole through most of Galantro's stomach and part of his chest. Rainbow color shifting blood sprayed a bit from his cut tendrils, and he coughed up gore, struggling to speak, trying to pull out the massive weapon from his insides out of instinct.... The portal closed, just as the giant skeleton swordman's hand tried to reach in, lopping it off.
The only reason GL wasn't out of the game with such massive injury, was because he wasn't DEAD yet... just horribly disabled and in bad shape. Easy prey too now with his missing limbs being much slower to regenerate than his wounds had been before.

Jacob struggled and managed to get up, his immortality able to quickly fix the rest of his injured self. He managed to see Daphne squaring off with the skeletons, even firing a shot at one. It appeared to be one of the more powerful military shotguns using explosive shells in a machine gun burst mode, as several loads of deadly spray peppered a group of skeletons, killing a couple and maiming a large number of the group. Not one to be left out, he grabbed his enchanted dagger, and flicked it hard at the back of a skull of one of the bastards, forcing it to stumble forward. He frowned.. it was still struggling, so he gestured, as the dagger suddenly glowed, hovered out, and dug deep into the skeleton's neck spine. This mostly severed it's connection with it's head and it collapsed as the blade teleported back into Jacob's hands... Daphne then asked if he could control them. He tried, but...
No... Dammit, they're living creatures in a sense possessed by essence, they only resemble the undead it seems. Somethings off about them. I can however...
he quickly used his rather comfortingly and soothing feeling necro energy to rapidly heal Daphne's wounds from a short distance, until he caught up with everyone else... Literally using a beam of necrotic energies to heal his undead friends.
I can at least act as battle medic for you all.... He then blinked, while dodging blows from a skeleton or two, as he remembered something he'd done to Veni a while ago that he could do for all the vampires. Daphne was the nearest at that point, so he quickly laid his hands on his shoulder, only offering a quick word of warning that it would feel very strange. Swiftly, she felt his magic affect her insides drastically, flesh and bone becoming flexible but tougher as they moved around, now protecting her most important vampyric organs as a priority, making it tougher to pierce the heart, or severe the head. Without a word, he went to do the same for his beloved Veni and Rosemary.
- - - - -
Ophelia's massive fireball blasted against a group of hardened mineral crafted, skeletal shaped monstrosties, melting parts of their bodies immediately, though they still struggled to come after her, slopping parts of their selves everywhere as they clawed towards her until they stopped screeching and moving.
Banquo's freezing ability proved rather effective as well. The ice immediately froze their ankles and feet, stopping their forward movement, until the skeletons broke their legs and shattered them to get at him, throwing projectiles at the hell hound. His ice breathe finished them off, freezing completely solid the still moving and self-shattering creatures, even slowing down the incoming projectiles by adding the weight of heavy ice on them.... though they could still puncture skin and flesh with how fast they had been moving.. just not as severely.
Of course, after all this, another horde was already taking it's place, but oddly parting down the middle from the back as they marched forward... Something deeply roared, heavy thudsteps shaking the earth. A massive, 12 foot skeleton, big boned and thick with knight's full plate armor slammed a gigantic battle axe between them. Behind him were two other skeletons, smaller than him ,but still larger at around 8-9 feet in height, wearing things such as chain mail or breast plates. It seemed like so far in all the encounters, those that were more armored or decorated were the tougher ones. The "boss" skeletons carried large axes into battle with them, the two lesser ones dividing up, one attempting to carve into Banquo's side with a clean horizontal swipe of his axe, and the other wanting to decapitate Phe with a diagonal swing.
- - - - -
The Heavy Suppressor streamed crystalline rounds at insane speeds, taking out a number of the archer bolts and arrows, along with downing a number of targets. It took a little while to notice, but after a short time, the numbers of the skeletons began to dwindle... almost as if they were gradually pulling back. Quiet for a while, too quiet Rosemary noticed, until there was a strange muffled burrowing sound coming from around them.
Great billows of dirt and rock flew into the air, even tossing a few tombstones aside as skeletons unearthed themselves for an attempt at a surprise attack, wielding swords and javelins with shields. The suppressor actually took more than a few seconds to puncture through some of those shields, which was a disturbing thought. The gun was no toy, it was one of the more heavily overpowered weapons of Limbo, designed to chew through targets with high caliber, powerful rounds, insane speed, and if used right, even damn good accuracy. A number of them tried to pounce Rosemary from behind just as Jacob finished enhancing her muscle and skeletal system, a couple piercing his legs, forcing him to his knees as he picked up a nearby rifle and fired into the group of skeletons.

Eztli shook his head at Cian's question, blushing hard and unable to speak when Adira had entered her "thrall mode" Had he teeth or lips, he'd be biting his lips hard, trying but failing miserably not to gawk at her. Admittedly, he felt ashamed, but it was like he couldn't control himself. Along with his own swarm of feelings he had been starting to feel for Adira, was the thrall mingling and affecting him as well?
One of the shadow goblins pipped up, ignoring Eztli's situation. "Father Dieamos..... has only used this ability once, but it's not usually in such a numerous manner. Typically it's of a handful of very powerful skeletal warriors in varied fields. Something went unusual.. Or, if I'm more likely correct...."
Sylin blinked questioningly. Apparently the thrall wasn't affecting him very much for whatever reason. Was his kind not affected much sexually, or did they mate according to a entirely different set of rules? Not out of the question, with how little humanoid he was beneath all that armor.
"I certainly hope nothing's affecting my old friend and mentor, and if it is, I should really hope it isn't something that we couldn't repair..."
The other shadow goblin snickered a little, and shook it's head, gulping down a few blood candies. "Don't worry about it you two. I've seen this once or twice, in private. He's just very, very pissed off and blowing off some steam in a safe way."
"I sort of figured that, was going to say that was my conclusion, but are you sure?"
The snacking goblin nodded to his ally, a sort of odd grin on his face. "He sort of confided with me and some others, though I know for certain he won't mind this "dirty secert" being shared, that sometimes his temper really gets the best of him. I've seen something like THIS once before, and afterwards, he was back to sipping some tea with Jacob moments later. It's theraputic for him, moreso now that he knows he won't really be destroying anything."
Sylin's excellent eyesight spied something nasty off in the distance from the battling group, but he didn't say what. His eyes and expression simply widened a bit, as he adjusted his breathing apparatus.
"Well... Remind me to make a note of this. Never piss off Dieamos so severely!"
Being unsure of how the chinese vampire was feeling about this at the moment, the shadow goblin swallowed his snack and got his attention.
"Just so you know, and you won't have to worry, Dieamos is probably the most laid back demon I know when he wants to be. I don't think you have to worry about him holding a grudge. You did catch him off guard, however. Congratulations, only one or two others in existence have EVER done that to Abomination demons and survived to tell the tale!"

Ma Jianshen had started to unconscioulsy stroke the black dragon Zac while he watched the fight and thought. He rested his hand on the surprisingly cooperative creature and cocked his head back to glance at the demon with one eye from his position on the floor. His tone was matter of fact as he spoke, "ah, a grudge is not my main worry. When I strike his back, only moderate back pain was meant to happen. That skill normally cause no injury, normally can't cause injury, only pain. Full blown torture and injury shouldn't have happen.
I did not plan to even reach near that level of torment It is not honorable in this battle type unless originally established as acceptable. What I worry about is if I gained a new skill. Can I now seriously injure with a touch? If so how long before it is under control if ever it will and will it be worse than it was when the pain inducing skill first appeared?
If this isn't a new skill, did I just discover a weakness of Dieamos? If so how will he react to that? Most intelligent creatures like to do away with that which they feel threatened by especially when the pest is much smaller. Also how can he confide a technique like that in a couple of you when it seems like all of you are generally inside his chest area even when he's "tiny"?"

The shadow goblins glanced at each other for a moment, then backed at Sylin. The gunner demon gave a simple shrug, nodding towards them, knowing they'd have a better answer than he would, having been around his mentor and their "father demon" longer.
"Dieamos will at most probably be perturbed a bit. Bothered a little. I wouldn't consider something a pest just because it's smaller, Dieamos knows all too well that sometimes the more powerful things aren't the larger creatures. I'm sure you might have heard mention of Inazuma in Limbo's more recent histories, or from some of us here and there idly. She took on several tough Abominations, mostly on her own. Probably had some sort of divine intervention thing going on sure, but I bet that took something on her part too.
As for us living in his chest 24/7, that's usually a common misconception. When you see us in there, it's usually for intimidation purposes, or mass transport. Or rest. It's.. hard to explain, it's like a dimensional gateway inside of Dieamo's body, allowing just us specifically to go back and forth from where we last were, to where he currently is, depending on when he summons us, or if we need to be there. We can compact in a minature form as well thanks to his "shrinking spell", but in his old man form, we're usually only a handful inside of him.
As for the confiding... Well, he often goes on various constitionals by himself. Sometimes some of us go along, and it's just typical.... well.. senior citizen type stuff most of the time. Like he's slowing down and taking in things for the first time in eons. Hell, not too long ago, he was feeding pigeons somewhere in Gaia (XD). It was a real funny coincidence that a few of us happened to interrupt him during one of his venting situations in a holo-gaming station just as good as this one. It was a bit... disturbing to see him so violent in general, instead of taking it out on deserving hell souls, or enemies, but he was much calmer afterwards, and he never got upset with us during or afterwards. He asked us not to share it too much with others, but in this case.. I think he'd understand an explanation would be in order.
Ah well, at least he's doing what he can to reign in and vent out that stereotypical demonic temper in proper channels. He's tried other things as well, but he has some of the old hellfire passion in him still, much as he tries to deny it. Sometimes being overly violent helps. Normally, he would just go somewhere in Hell I'd assume and tear the environment up if he got this angry. No victim's that way. If there wasn't a hologamer here, he'd find a way to get to a dead world.
Anyway, as to how he would react to this weakness... because honestly, I"m not sure it's a skill... Abomination biology is crazy different compared to lots of other mortal and biological things, with inherent magic properties. Something probably went haywire mixing with your abilities. What this might mean though, if it's something common amongst other Abominations... that we have a secret weapon in you if Heegh decides to ever bring back or try to craft an Abomination.. God forbid. Such a thing would take immense effort and soul power, let's hope he doesn't get the cajones to do that. *Ahem* getting off track...
...Dieamos will probably mull it over, knowing him. He can be very deliberate in his thinking, but quick at the same time. I'm guessing in the centuries I"ve been around with him, he'll see it as a boon, rather than a curse, and try to find some way to even help you practice it against him... carefully, of course."
"I know he doesn't want to think little of any of us, but do you think Dieamos may have been holding back a little in this fight? Maybe unwittingly?"
The other shadow goblin swallowed a mouthful of popcorn it got from the little slime ball Phil, and nodded
" I wouldn't doubt it. Not on purpose, but he probably tried to go as powerful as he could, without being overly cruel. He's just most likely going a little pissed-crazy now. It'll pass. It may actually work against him in this situation. I think the lesser army, but stronger members of the skeletal hordes are more potent then the ones he has spread out now, even though they're still pretty tough."

Banquo swiftly and easily dodged the sharp weapon that was aimed for his gut. Ophelia was not as lucky as her mate. She was not able to dodge the blow as Banquo had. Instead, the blade went through her neck. With one enraged yelp that was cut short, her elemental power burst from her before her body went slack. The power came out in the form of swift hounds of fire. Literally. Five great hounds made of fire. They took off sprinting even after their creator faded and disappeared. Their teeth looked ominous as they snarled at the skeletons. They had the accuracy of top-of-the-line missiles and the deadly intent as well. One thing was for sure: Ophelia wasn’t going out without a bang.
Banquo’s ears perked as he watched his mate fade from the game. He watched as her pack of fire hounds left flames in their wake as they ran at the skeletons, pouncing on them, tearing at their bodies to bring them to the ground. Each hound could probably take on two minor skeletons before it ran out of energy and became just a puff of smoke in the air. Ban was not allowed the luxury of watching very long but he did not mind…the hound of ice was pissed. A casual observer would not be able to tell, however, other than the slight narrow of his eyes and the twitch of his tail. He sent an ice trail at a few more of the skeletons, effectively freezing them before he decided he needed to take a more drastic and dramatic change.
Banquo leapt away from the fray for a moment to achieve his transformation. The hound stood on his hind legs, balancing for just a moment as his body shifted and changed. He developed more human characteristics. His body was built for speed, but it was muscular in places as well. If he had been in a “regular” world, people would assume he was a runner, perhaps, or a swimmer. He had a mess of golden brown hair and ice blue eyes. His change had appeared as naked as the warriors of old had been. Not that Banquo minded. He was holding a swallow—a dual bladed staff. His eyes took in his surroundings before his body moved. He was still as swift as his hound form. He easily swung, spinning his weapon, the tips of its blades glistening as hard ice. In fact, it was hard ice. The hardest ice out there. Calmly, efficiently Banquo dodged the attacks on him. He finally reached his target: the skeleton who attacked Ophelia. It was one of the lesser skeletons who was wearing the chainmail.
Banquo leapt from a large piece of rubble, his speed launching him off the rock, his weapon aimed for a vulnerable place in the armor. It connected. Ban stayed where he was perched on the demon, his weapon’s power affecting first the inside of the skeleton’s form before moving to its whole body. Banquo sprang away, unfazed, if slightly less angry. He turned, taking cover behind the rubble he leapt off of. He didn’t have to wait long. Three… two…one… the being shattered. Sharp ice sprang out, pinning anything that didn’t move out of its range to the ground. The rubble Banquo was behind shuddered as it had many of the ice shards embedded in its surface.
Meanwhile, a fuming Ophelia was deposited outside of the game. She shook her body, starting with her head. She glared as she took in the others in the room. ”I want a rematch.” She growled, taking her place before the viewer. Her tail swished in agitation. Even as she watched her mate fight, she couldn’t help but feel jealous. The flames coming off of her body were hotter than usual. Near her, Cian shifted uncomfortable with the sudden warmth. She watched as her mate extracted retribution on her behalf and allowed a proud smile to take up her hound features.
Adira grabbed a sword lying near her, her primal instincts still in control. Part of her mind was connected to the thrall but another part—her analytical part—was shut off for the moment. In its place were the overpowering demonic instincts. The succubus used her wings to produce speed as she whipped around, stabbing various skeletons as she went. Finally, she heard both Sephiroth’s voice in her mind and GL’s call to her and she rushed back to him. ”Sounds like a plan.” She commented, her voice husky, the demonic impulses urging her to stay and fight. Adira pulled herself from it. Next thing she knew, she was following the two men through the portal. Adira stumbled out, losing her footing but not quite falling. She caught herself and breathed….too soon the scene turned horrific again. Instead of panicking like she did before, however, Adira tried to stay calm. ”Just a game.” She muttered to herself. She looked up, watching as Galantros healed Sephiroth and then as he was, in turn, attacked, her breath catching slightly. He was skewered to a tree.
Daphne felt immensely better after Jacob fortified her body. Before, she had vaguely felt the toll that healing Jacob was taking on her body. It was always hard to heal those outside of her own species. Now, Daphne felt as though she could take on most of their enemies. Thanks! she shot at Jacob, beaming at him, That’ll work for now…Now time to kick some living dead to tomorrow…Or you know. Just out of the game. She loaded the gun and shot, her aim getting better with each progressive shot—a fracture here, a break there. Not quite immobile, but close enough. Daphne ran up to one of the skeletons, an idea gleaned from a cartoon show popping into her mind. She bent down, grabbing a club-like bone from its still body (A femur, as any biologist could tell). She picked up the fallen skeleton’s bow and arrows, snatching its armor with her vampiric speed. Before she could pull the armor on, however, an arrow came very close to piercing her heart. Instead, it hit her shoulder….which just proved to make the blond vampire angry.
Daphne threw on the armor, strung the arrow in the bow, pointed and aimed. Her gun was tucked safely in a pocket, its safety switched on. This vampire wasn’t going to take chances with firearms in her pockets. The arrow connected although the intended party was moving. Daphne danced a bit in victory and joy (She finally got her hands on a bow and arrow—and it was stronger than the one she had seen at THoR) but was soon stopped short by more archers. A few of the arrows bounced off of her newly acquired armor but still a few more hit her arms and legs. Daphne barely noticed, however, as her eyes were drawn up to the figure of Galantros in the trees. He had just healed Sephiroth and now…He, in turn, was damaged. Her energetic eyes took in the locations of everyone else in the area. Everyone seemed to have their hands full. But where was Ophelia and Banquo? She saw Rosemary’s outfit change into her battle wear and smirked in spite of herself. Rosemary had to just love that outfit. And by love, Daphne more than likely meant that Rosemary hated it. She saw only one option…She sprinted toward the demoness.
Adira, she sent to the succubus, I need you to fly up and get Galantros. I can help him. Heal him. The others are needed in the battle. With your…skeleton friends you should be covered. It almost sounded like she was saying that Adira was not contributing to the battle but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Daphne believed everyone was important.Oh and take this. she handed the gun over to the other woman. Now that she had her bow, she wouldn't need it. Adira nodded, her expression pale but determined even as she nibbled on her bottom lip. Daphne turned back to the fray as she waited for Adira to return with Galantros so she could heal him. She pulled the arrows out of her body with a faint wince. There had been four in all….Not counting the ones she was missing on her back.
Adira immediately took flight, dodging stray arrows. Her archers were doing well in protecting their mistress however. She got to GL in no time. Daphne says she can help you…heal you…I just have to get you down. Is that okay? It’ll probably hurt. She winced slightly as she sent the thought but without waiting for a response, she began to pull Galantros off the tree. She tried to be quick about it—like a Band-Aid. * * * Out of the corner of his eye, Cian saw Eztli blush. He kept an inward smirk. He heard the shadow goblin and Sylin speak but he didn’t bother looking at them. His eyes were on his…suddenly powerful mate. In spite of just healing Jacob, she was able to push through skeletons and look like she was doing it with ease. Cian wore a small smile as he watched her victory dance. She was so going to get it later. His eyes were drawn to Rosemary next. His eyebrows rose. What a costume. Again, he admonished himself and focused on his own mate. The women of this game were looking more and more like some video game creators wet dream. The dominatrix of Rosemary; The overall otherworldly allure of Adira…The only one who wasn’t obvious was Daphne, but then (Cian’s heart softened) she had never been very predictable. Cian decided she was more of a Laura-Croft-But-blond type in her leather jacket and black tank top that was riding up, bearing more than a little of her toned stomach than she probably knew. Her jeans were ripped and slashed in places. Still, she held herself tall. Cian was proud.
”I see,” Cian said to Ma Jianshen, ”So…Which theory are you more likely to believe?” Cian liked to get to the heart of any matter, although sometimes he found himself and others walking around the truth while not quite hitting it. ”So…they can be killed with greater ease?” Cian asked of the shadow goblin, still not quite understanding how this hoard of skeletons might put Dieamos at a disadvantage.

That girl is all gung ho heal people that she forgot that Galantros just needs a fire pillar or lightning bolt to be healed, Rosemary thought to herself after relaying Daphne’s message to others. I’ll remind her after the fight. She was after all more interested in monitoring others and seeing what they could do over winning.
In fact Sephiroth, being the closest to Galantros, was about to raise up a pillar of fire after raising several defensively on charging skeletons. He stopped though and let the girls do as they wished and helped cover Adira after she got there. Galantros, I think you need to stop thinking logically and let that demon take over soon.
Rosemary was suspicious of the slowdown and seemingly retreat of the skeletal beings. Though if they had kept coming instead of briefly pulling back, Rosemary would have started using the Heavy Suppresser as a bashing weapon. This gave her time to let the magazine drop and put another one in. Then she heard them coming from bellow and turned her aim at her feet. With Jacob’s enhancements and the armors Veni and Rosemary wore, arrows seemed to become insufficient which is probably why they switched to javelins. Veni and Kyle went for the ones trying to sneak up on them and worked at quick disarmament.
Rosemary commanded the large dragon type Sally to stand over them and to turn her heads everyway and release a stream to take out the immerging skeletons from the ground. Watch out for Daphne and the others, she commanded Sally. Though make it close and give her (Daphne) a good scare, she added with a smile under her helmet.
--------- “I do not know. I do not throw away the possibility that what I do can someday become a power that causes damage as well. However Dieamos isn’t like normal creature from our world, so it is possible that there exists creatures out there weak to powers like mine.” He sort of smiled as he said, “Any volunteer for first theory?”

A flinch of fear was what Rosemary could taste from Galantros, basic and instinctive, when Sephiroth suggested he would have to let his demonic form completely loose. He was starting to drift in and out of consiciousness from his injuries. He coughed a splattering of rainbow blood across Adira's face inadvertently as he massive sword was pulled from his innards, freeing him from the tree, falling to his knees as the massive gaping wound slowly sealed itself finally and he groaned. His mind's eye faded everything around him into black and...
"They're right, you know! Let loose! Stop thinking! Let me take control!"
"Wha?"
Damn, you're so weak you don't even understand what's going on. I'm cutting to the chase, it's cheesy as hell, but I'm your demon side talking to you.
The demon voice was accompanied by a vague visual of numerous blobbish teeth and claws all razor sharp and grinning darkly, red dot eyes hidden amongst the mist. It was terrifying to say the least, and disturbed Galantros.
"Not going to let you hurt them... Never..."
"What? s**t, you think... you think I'm that possessive demon that was in you? Okay, let's get one thing straight. I'm not HIM. I'm YOU! I'm a part of your mind, your soul, your being. You don't even realize it, but you're afraid of demons, you judge them, think them evil before you..."
(Suddenly, Galantros found an ounce a strength at this evil accusation) "HEY! I never judge anyone before getting to know them! That's crap!"
"I can think of one person."
"Who the hell would that be?"
"Yourself. You don't trust yourself. You judge yourself to be evil just because of what you partially are, even if you don't pass that same judgement on other demons. It's like you have some sort of screwed up hipocrisy on us. Knock it off. You know the limits, you know when someone WILL get hurt, so stop trying to hold back on everything so much to the point where you're ineffective. Remember when that hallucination demon attacked our friends? You didn't remember what happened, did you?"
"No... I didn't... I lost control."
"Except you didn't really. Who you are kept you in line as a person. Just because me, your demon side, is a part of you, doesn't mean it's evil. It's how you use me. Okay, harsh example time. Would you ever take advantage of Black? Abuse her, use her up, toss her to the side? Cheat? Hurt your friends, for your own personal gain? Have you treated them like sewer trash just because you have a lot more money and wealth than most of them?"
"Geebus cripes, no! They're my friends, I love the crap out of them! Just because I have something more than them, I'd do something like that to them?"
"That's exactly what this demon side of yours is. Something more to you. Doesn't mean you'll use it for bad, or that it is bad. It is what it is, and what you use it for, that's what your own soul and nature will decide. So far, it's been pretty damn awesome I think. You saved THoR's residents from that demon, you saved Black from Jiluzix when he tore into Limbo... C'mon! Snap out of it, and get with it!"
Galantros paused for a second.
Do it because if you don't use everything you got, people you care about may get hurt. If you hold back, you'll regret it, knowing you didn't do the best you could have. So... what do you say, will you stop putting the chains on me now?
"...You got a point. Alright. I'll stop holding back, or do my best not to anymore."
"You know, that's all I ask of myself! Of course, we're still going to need healing when you come to again. You took a heavy blow... maybe I can help with that though. Trust me? I haven't steered you wrong yet."
"...sure."
- - - -
Galantros blinked, groaning in emulated pain as he gripped his slightly bleeding stomach, his insides writhing as they adjusted themselves again. Suddenly, his wings flared out as they searched for emotion in the air, drawing it in like a vaccum. Bloodlust, anger, fear, adrenline, excitement, all the emotions of war and the battlefield and their ambient energy started to come to him... It wouldn't heal him fully, but it would definitely speed the process up.
"Thanks... Need... energy. Healed. More."
He could stand, walk a bit even, but he was still out of it. Once he got a little power in him again, he was going to start tearing things apart though, his claw like fingers twitching... A particularly tasty surge of silent rage from Banquo somewhere filled his stomach for a moment, distasteful as the negative energy was, it stemmed more bleeding and healed more internal wounds. Even gave him enough strength to attack a skeleton coming at them from behind by using his wings as a giant mouth that chomped it's upper half off, and spat it out. Wasn't long before they quickly made their way to Daphne.
- - - - -
The gunner undead minion Rosemary commmanded was doing it's part well, tearing apart skeletal combatant after combatant with it's weaponry and bare fists/weapon bashes, making sure it was doing what it was told and kept it's primary concerns going... to protect.
Well, at least it was doing well, until a stray javelin stabbed him in the skull. The hulk "urrghed" loudly, stumbling backwards with a quake as he hit the earth. With that single heavy blow, the magics that kept his flesh bound unravelled, and his remains splattered and collapsed.
Kyle worked well in tandem with Veni, and though couldn't use the same tricks as the vampire, was rather quick and stealthy himself when he wanted to be. Skulls lopped off bodies faster once the undead minion found one or two of their superior material thin blades
Sally... well... She delivered well, spewing bouts of energy flame that after a few seconds of exposure started to melt the tough bone material of the skeletons, causing them to have to act smarter, or use more armor. Some, grisly enough, used the bones of their larger comrades as a shielding against this and managed to get a couple stabs in on Sally, though this barely hindered her for now. At one point, while Daphne was healing Galantros, her flames did come pretty damn close to the vampire too...
Rosemary at one point, had a few arrows sticking out of what would be vital areas for a vampire, had it not been for her superior armor and enhanced anatomy defenses. The skeletons were gaining better and better accuracy and devising different tactics, that was for sure.
- - - - - -
The shadow goblins glanced at Mia Jianshen for a moment. "If you're asking us to volunteer... we'll pass. Maybe one of our other breathren will be brave enough for that.
"Yes, the skeletal horde, compared to the fewer, more powerful skeleton warriors of Dieamos are an easier foe in general I think, because it's too much to micromanage at once, with less power per individual. They're also not as physically strong as they could be, so they take more damage than before. So while their numbers could be a problem, they... welll Kind of suffer a dip the quality of all things, including some tactics and intelligence. Keep in mind, Dieamos is a demon of great age, and possibly lots of wisdom. We shadow goblins are the many generations descended from the originals that he created in him long ago, since we don't have nearly as long a life spawn as Dieamos appears to, so we've mostly probably never seen him in serious combat where he could let loose entirely."
- - - - - -
*CRACK!*
Suddenly, a volley of large boulders began to rain down towards the group, with skeletons clinging to their tops, weilding melee weapons. In the distance, Rosemary could easily saw a very large, brute of a skeleton using a massive club to.. well, no other word than to say golf club rocks at the group like a catapult, so the tougher melee fighters could close the distance quicker without gun fire dispatching them. Once enough rocks had been sent through the air, the giant skeleton himself drew a massive tower shield and a nasty spiked mace, and ran towards the action.
Jacob during this time had been using his magics to make quick hefty shields out of the killed and destroyed skeletons, building up walls to deflect or at least slowdown and lessen the impact of those boulders. Bits of mineral bone scattered as the boulders smacked against those magical shields, smashing them to bits easily, but at least the group was affording some protection from the intial part of the onslaught.

Banquo’s feet were light as he sprung into action, using the rods of thick ice that had embedded the wall in front of him as a sort of ladder. He pulled apart his swallow from the center, creating two blades before slicing at his foe. He was agile and muscular where it counted—but not needlessly so. He was efficient—not wasting time or energy with his attacks. Ban heard the call to gather together in his mind as he slashed his current victim. He was bruised in some places, bloody in others but the hound-turned man did not notice. He wiped his forehead with his arm and it came back damp with sweat and blood. He needed to get over to where the others were. He made a leap to the side of the skeleton he was fighting and in mid-flight his body transformed back into his skeletal hound form. The weapon disappeared in thin air—retreating back into its owner’s body. The hound breathed his cold ice on the large skeleton. Its feet were now encased in ice. It wouldn’t keep it for long but it was enough for Ban to get away. The hound sniffed the air for a moment before sprinting away, toward where he knew the group was located. It was some distance away but the hound’s speed and efficiency in attacks aided him. Soon, he reached the group. Ophelia’s out. He sent to the others.
”Hey. Don’t drift off on me.” Adira said softly to Galantros. Next thing she knew, GL spit rainbow liquid on her face. It was slightly sweet. It was majorly disgusting. Adira tried not to let her disgust show as she wiped her face with her shoulder. Was this the incubus-reaper’s blood? Was it really rainbow? Or was this something else? She decided it didn’t matter. ”We’re almost there. She’ll heal you up.” She whispered, trying to be reassuring. One of her wings caught on one of the branches of the tress, her sight still slightly obscured by the rainbow blood.
The emotions coming off of her friend were…intense and a little confusing to say the least. She felt them stronger than ever because the two were touching. Galantros was fighting something. There was something else there too though…determination, mistrust and something…darker. She couldn’t place it. Was he fighting himself? Dual natured? Before she could find her answer, Galantos was waking up. He needed energy. She sent a full stream of emotional energy at him but it didn’t seem to be enough. She helped him limp over to where Daphne stood, finishing her fight with a skeleton. The vampire pushed it off just as Ban sent a stream of ice at it. He’s not doing well. Adira sent to Daphne, restless as she helped GL sit.
Adira’s archers were still taking out their brethren at the will of their mistress. They were getting picked off quickly, however. There were only two warriors left. Adira instinctively knew she would need to make more followers in a matter of minutes. Rocks fell from the sky, making matters even worse. Did they even stand a chance? Adira loaded the gun Daphne gave her and shot at more of the foes, not necessarily hitting all of them.
Daphne looked at her friends with a wince. These things had really done a number on all of them. Banquo was bleeding, Adira had cuts all over her body, Daphne herself was developing bruises. If this had been a real battle there would have been very serious injuries. Good thing it wasn’t. She kneeled in front of GL where he sat. The reaper wasn’t doing so hot. At this rate, he’d be kicked out of the game. Daphne nervously put her hands over him. Would this work? Was he so different that it wouldn’t? Daphne closed her eyes, her imagination taking over. A reaper’s body was weird! Suddenly, the vampire felt a jolt coming out of her hands. Her eyes flew open in alarm. That never happened! Her eyes looked down, her mouth falling open. There were small bolts of lightning coming from her hands. A whimper left her lips but she kept her mind on the task at hand. She couldn’t stop her thoughts, however. There are freaking lightning bolts coming from my hand. Lightning is fire. Lightning is hot. LIGHTNING SHOULD BE FREAKING KILLING ME. this refrain was repeating on and on in her mind. She knew it might be annoying those around her but she couldn’t stop it. The lightning stopped and when Daphne’s eyes closed and her mind opened up to Galantros’ body state, she found that he was healed. The vampire was stunned. This was definitely something to explore later. Her head spun and her vision was blurring slightly. Even with Jacob’s power boost, she felt weak. She would think of the implications of the lightning later on. For now, Daphne needed to focus on staying in the game. It would be a miracle if she didn’t pass out in the next few minutes out of exhaustion.
As Daphne was trying to make her head stop spinning when she felt the fire close to her. Her exhausted mind immediately flew back to the day she was reborn. The fire, the smoke. Being a vampire she now knew fire was even more dangerous. Fear caused her heart to leap. ”WATCH OUT!” she yelped as Sally.
Cian watched the game with a steady gaze. Only the tapping of his foot gave away his discomfort and he watched his wife visibly weaken. Then there was the matter of the fire. Needless to say, he forced himself to remain emotionally logical. They would discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the battle later. He had seen the majority of it on the screen from the outside and he had been in a number of wars in the past. If anyone could be a non-biased judge of battle, it was Cian…He just needed to put aside his feelings about his wife. This seemed easier said than done for the Greek vampire.
Cian nodded to Ma Jianshen’s response. It made sense. What was of this world was different than other worlds which were different from each other. New species presented new obstacles and challenges. Cian let out a short laugh at the shadow goblin’s response. ”looks like you’re out of luck with this one.” he commented to the other vampire. ”So there’s no way to beat him? How would you suggest the team have a better chance out there? Teamwork? Is there still a form of Dieamos in there or has he been split up in to all of the skeletons?”

((Booster post for Black to work off of))
The ground shook hard just a mere couple minutes later as the giant, mace wielding skeleton magically sped up and leaped into the air, and came down hard, slamming it's mace down where Rosemary was just a second ago.
~You.. Die...~
Apparently this one had a slight ability to speak as it gave out raspy laughter, swinging it's mace at Rosemary's leaping form, taking only a second to unstick the weapon when it stuck. Whenever that happened, it tried to also use it's shield to bash away the vampiress when she got too close.

Ma Jianshen shrugged and turned his back to them to continue to watch. He hadn't been serious about experimenting because he didn't expect any of them to do it yet they all appeared to have taken him seriously. He wondered if any of the other goblins would actually volunteer.
--------
Rosemary didn't look back at Daphne as she ranted about lightning because something big and scary was in the distance. Daphne calm down! She said to deaf ears as Daphne kept saying the same thing over and over again.
I do believe they are picking on me, said Rosemary to Veni and Jacob only as the double her size skeleton rushed past Veni to get to her. She sent her large gun back into its dimensional space in order to increase her dodging capabilities. She tricked the skeleton in her leaps to take out a few of its own when it smashed down with its weapon. When she got close it bashed her back with it's tower shield.
She thought on its fighting style and what she would use to take it out. It would be difficult she reasoned to bash the mace in the front or onto the tower shield while it held it she reasoned. Her helmet parted to reveal her mouth and she appeared to spit into her left hand. Now that Daphne had quieted she continued, Lightning is not fire. Lightning is energy that can start a fire or become a fire, but lightning itself is not consuming like fire. As to the why you can, now's not the time to think on that. We'll figure it out later.
Cian told me you're from more magically inclined stock.
I should shoot him with that M.E.R.S. gun to see how much more it...Argh! The next swing she didn't time her dodge right and ended up with a long gash down the backside of her body as she moved to get out of the way. Die, you overgrown chew toy!
She rushed at the skeleton, outwardly appearing mad from the injury, and when he came to bash her with its shield she didn't fly backwards and the skeleton lost sight of her. She was attached to the front of the shield rather spider like. Some whiteness could be seen between her left hand and the shield. She had spit a sticky web into that hand. A spider crawled out from the opening of her helmet as she spat some web onto a Limbo explosive. The spider peeked around the shield and using that as her eyes she tossed it.

Seeing the explosive, and at least recognizing it as not good, the skeleton dropped the shield Rosemary was on and tried to fend it off with a hand... it landed squarely on it's chest plate, promptly exploding near it's face, causing it to hiss. The blast made it react violently, carelessly throwing it's spiked mace into the air as it's mandible cracked off it's skull, cracks forming in the metallic armor it wore. It was stunned for a second, but Rosemary was underneath the shield, and before she got lift the heavy, awkward thing off her, the skeleton growled and stomped on it, pressing it's weight onto her while drawing it's non-spiked club.
~Crush... bug...~
- - - - -
Galantros was immediately healed by the lightning and quickly revived. He marvelled at first as well at the fact that she was shooting lightning out of her fingertips.
I didn't think you could DO that! What in the heck...
Something large was coming at them. He managed a quick growl of thanks to Daphne for the heal, before the spiked mace flew their way, threatening to impale several of them. Snarling, he grabbed the thing with his wing tips and started running towards where it came from. He could sense pain emanating from someone he cared about, someone in trouble. Big sister. Rosemary. The claws jutting out of his feet and hands bounced and crushed slightly skulls and bones that got in his way, using them to catapult himself foward towards the giant skeleton that was about to grind his club into Rosemary's face.
*CRACK*
"DOWN! OFF HER!"
Galantros' wings swung the mace hard against the chest of large skeleton, wrecking a large portion and shattering off it's chestplate, while fragmenting more of it's skull. The demonic thing stumbled back, then hissed at Galantros, which gave Rosemary the chance to recover and get back up. Galantros swung again, but it was met by the demon skeleton's club, the spikes sticking into the club's thicker portion as they struggled against each other for a moment, before the skeleton backhanded Galantros across the face.
Galantros barely moved back, his head jerking back a bit, but he stood his ground. The skeleton went in for another back hand, but found teeth clamped onto it's hand from Galantro's mouth as the demon/incubi tore into the marrow viciously.
~Attack! Horde!~
Groups of the skeletons that had been keeping others busy started to swarm Galantros, recognizing him as a large threat now, stabbing into his limbs like toothpicks as he tried to smack them off with his wing tendrils and feet. If left like this, he would fall in a matter of minutes, but they were a distraction as the giant skeleton raised his club to try to cave in Galantros' head. Just as Galantros barely managed to shake off most of them, he glanced up to see the club starting to swing down towards his face.
Shivot...
- - - - -
Sally, noticing that she had nearly burned Daphne chuckled mirthfully then managed to find a moment to dig through someone's pockets, producing a couple of healing potions that had been supplied before the game started. It wouldn't help the exhaustion much, but the wounds would be fixed as the draconian undead creature quickly shattered them, lacking the proper appendages to uncork them and spilled them over some of the more wounded... Namely, Adira and Banquo who were more visibly bleeding. Most of their wounds patched themselves up.
- - - - -
Veni, as the skeletons and other such action rushed past him, sensed a presence behind him. A strange skeleton, blindfolded, wielding two swords, growled and pounced at him, slashing it's swords. Something told the vampire that it would be able to sense him even in the shadows, and if the faint magical glow around it's swords were any indication, possibly pull him out of them or harm him. He would have to fight this one somewhat head on... Thankfully, not alone as the other undead minion, Kyle, leapt from the side and ambushed the skeleton. The skeleton kicked at the undead, deflecting Kyle back... he tumbled gracefully, only to run back at the skeleton with his blades to try to attack, despite possibly being blocked by a sword. This particular skeleton may not have been a giant like the others, but it was special.. it was skilled.
- - - - -
One of the shadow goblins cleared his throat before he spoke. "Dieamos is.. subconsciously there, I don't think he's 100% alert in controlling the action that all those skeletons are doing. He's alert in a manner that he can pull himself together if need be, but it's... like part manual, with a lot of automatic. Confidentially, some of us do have a emotional bond with father... ... I think he's slowing down. If they can keep this up a little longer, they stand a chance. He's basically all the skeletons, but if they go after the... well.. "special" ones, they'll sap more of his power faster. Eventually he won't be able to maintain this ability spell, and he'll... well basically collapse.
Teamwork wise... I think it's just going to come from learning to work together more and practicing I think. You have a lot of new factors and people in that group that haven't fought with the others before, so there's going to be some rough edges. Will say that you all fought well against Dieamos. Keep in mind, he's no run of the mill either."

After Galantros got the skeleton off her Rosemary was able to get her feet into position and push the large shield up and away from her in the direction towards Sally. Though it didn't go as far as it would had she not a healing back injury and thus this movement caused much pain. Use that if you can, Sally.
--------
Veni started to circle the blind one in a very defensive stance with the one stunning leecher katar (or katar like weapon at least) in a more shield like position in one hand and sword ready to parry in the other. He felt lucky to be ambidextrous but wished he had both of the katars for this one. This skeleton seems like he has more magic put into him than the others...Does anyone have an M.E.R.S. gun hand...Daphne you have one on you right?! Are you not so terribly occupied enough to be able to sneak up on this one and get a shot or two in?
