Valac continues moving around so that he is ready to double team the umber hulk with whoever was left standing. Then he continued trying to kill the one he'd spent so much effort on.

The icy touch of his old friend was still numbing the pain, reinforcing his skin and armor, but the aches were starting to move into his bones, and despite it all Illikan found himself short of breath, panting clouds of the mist as one blow after another caught him, and the beast tried to grab him again- though this time it barely started to get its arms around him before he expertly slammed the shield into a joint, side of the hammer against it's face, struck and shoved again to get himself loose before it could properly secure it's grip, making a wide swing of his hammer on his recovery.
[Move Action: 31 vs DC to escape] [Strength of Stone: 21 vs UH3's AC] [On hit: 15 Bludgeoning damage, Illikan gains 3 temp HP]
"Keep at it. I can hold the line a little longer. Soon as one drops, we group up and we'll have this," the warden panted, blood dribbling from the corner of his mouth and nose as he drew himself up, forcing himself to hold a deep breath as he squared off against the two again, raising his shield and dropping the hammer to grasp it closer to the head, shifting to a defensive posture and trying to watch both, straightening up and forcing himself back into a threatening posture.

STANDARD ACTION
"Sorry, Ruin! Feel free to do so. During Paladin training, I got a B+ in Bravery but almost flunked Stratagems 101. You go on ahead, I'll try and hold this one's attention until you guys finish the other two," Revenge would call out, taking a less all-out-assault stance and lifting his shield, before hopefully landing a strike that would catch the Umber Hulk's attention.
"GET TO THE CHOPPER!" he would command Ruin, lunging forward with all his weight against his sword into the place he struck before, hoping he had managed to cut an opening in the carapace with his previous attack and a flash of crackling ice would form where steel met innards.
Quote:
Enfeebling Moonstrike, Nat 20 vs AC. 21 cold damage, and UH2 takes -2 to hit, -2 to AC until the end of Revenge's next turn
"The chopper, is of course, Valac, since he's chopping away at those bugs! Ha ha!"

Valac sinks his blade into the badly wounded umberhulk.
Ilkian breaks free and braces for another round of attacks
Revenge plunges his icy sword into the side of the umber hulk and the creature squeals. Barely alive, it seems to finally have enough, it attempts to flee by burring into the ground. (Revenge may take an opportunity action againt UH2)
In there eternal conflict Ilikan is assaulted by the umber hulks once more, He is hit three times by there massive arms (17 damage) and grabbed again by UH3

Kuori, out of words, stepped back and lobbed a hand of fire at the umberhulk. They'd have to take down one of these two before she could pull of her last trick.

With the monster retreating, Revenge does not strike at it and lets it escape.

"Look, It is either you and me or..." Ruin started to say but stopped as the bug dig away... "Aye, aye, Capi'ton!" Ruin agreed as he bolted as quickly as he could to Illikan's side, his sword was poised and ready to strike...

With all the raised voices and heightened emotions Valac had a moment of clarity where he had a chance to do more than just hit one Hulk.
Hit two hulks. He primed his full blade putting his whole body into it slamming the Hulk with it and following through on to the other.
[Brutal Slam 26 vs Fort UH3, 25 Damage + push 2, knocked prone to UH3 and 8 damage to UH1.]
Feeling a little grin start on his face as the one began to retreat, and the party regrouped, Illikan held tight, motions getting sluggish, but just focusing on repeating the process- beat the arms back at the joints, focus on interposing the shield or hammer in front of oncoming blows.

MOVE ACTION
Revenge would lower his weapon as he watched the umber hulk burrow away. It was badly wounded so it wouldn't pose a significant threat to anyone for a while. Killing it when it was frightened was needless.
Turning his head to the right, he would watch Ruin engaging from one side. He tried to see if it were best to follow or to cut around the other side. The debris everywhere would not make it easy. But he had just the thing for that.
Quote:
Revenge moves 2W through difficult terrain to H31.
MINOR ACTION
Revenge would stab his longsword into a nearby overturned table and reach up and behind his back to the quiver on his back. There was a reason he had javelins, and they were for when he couldn't easily engage an opponent. He grabbed for one of the shafts and...
Quote:
Note: Javelins were never recovered from Act 2 before the PCs were teleported away sad
... MOVE ACTION, I GUESS
Revenge's expression would sour, remembering that his javelins were spent and lost in a battlefield far away. Grabbing his sword with a yank, he would simply continue to advance.
Quote:
Revenge moves again, 1SW and at least 1W to J29. I don't know where the difficult terrain "stops" so Revenge will move as far W as his movement speed of 5 will allow.

The umber hulk sees Kuori gather flames in her hand out the corner of one of its eyes and then dodges her attack.
However, this momentary distraction seemed work in Ruin's advantage as he rushed forward and stabbed the creature with his summoned hex blade. His attack was soon followed up by a powerful bash by Valac which sent the large monster reeling away from everyone. Finally having enough of the fight, and with no one next to him, the umber hulk buries into the ground and disappears from sight.
The last remaining Umber Hulk strikes at Ilikan but is unable to hit him at all with his raised defenses.
The party can hear Irene comment from the door "Aww...another one got away..."

"This one won't be getting away though." Kuori runs past it, trying to make an opening for the Defender, then comes up alongside him and slams her morning-star into the Umberhulk, a violet light bursting from it as she does. "Pile on guys."

Valac answering Kuori's call to arms did a shuffle but missed the attack, he guesses. [Shuffle back and forth so Valac is still flanking with Ruin but 20 still misses I guess]
Then like a lumberjack on a long shift, Valac begun hacking away at the next Umber Hulk.
[Howling Strike 26 vs AC, 26 damage who needs anything better than at-wills that do more damage than your encounters.]
Given the opportunity, Illikan shuffled only as far as he needed to to maintain flanking on the creature, keeping it locked between threats as he took a swing at it- going wide, hammer glancing off the armor without making a solid impact, and then planted his feet to try once more.
[Use granted shift and basic attack.] [BA: 17 vs AC] [Mark adjacent enemy] [Strength of Stone: 28 vs AC] [Hit: 12 bludgeoning damage, Illikan gains 3 THP]
